LA PATATA BOLLENTE (1979) dir. Steno Bernardo Mambelli, nicknamed "il Gandi", is an Italian Communist Party militant and pugilist working at a Milanese paint factory. One night, Bernardo comes across a fascist gang beating a young man and jumps in to rescue him. After bringing him to his house and tending to his wounds, he learns that the man, Claudio, is gay. With nowhere to go and recovering from the assault, Claudio starts living at Bernardo's house, and a series of typical misunderstandings lead his comrades, his nosy landlady, and his girlfriend Maria, to assume they are together. Hemmings lends easygoing support #here during his european extended working holiday period‚ but if anything steals focus here then it's perhaps naturally the #goblin score‚ a delightful bit of fuzzy prog warbling which truth be told probably belongs in a slightly better film #edit: ok i looked at the images and the boots are clearly not thigh high.. what a Testi fit can do to the unconscious mind..

Chissà come sarebbe oggi, a 70 anni, Massimo Troisi.

Artista indimenticabile del cinema italiano, dall'ironia sottile e profonda, nato il 19 febbraio del 1953 a San Giorgio a Cremano (Napoli), morto a Ostia (Roma) a soli 41 anni nel 1994, come conseguenza di un problema cardiaco che lo aveva accompagnato per tutta la vita.
