Ciber The Main Man TV feuds VS Poncho De Nigris
[Poncho De Nigris is better known for appearing in Big Brother Mexico and other small roles in telenovelas and striptease shows and attempting to embezzle a very wealthy 90 year old woman of her fortune]
Tumblr media
WATCH ALONG HERE https://youtu.be/GUsfCRTQ2UE
Here we have two extraordinary gentlemen that I am very pleased to have with here.
First let me start out with Poncho. Poncho let me play you the controversial comments that Cibernetico has made about you. Then we'll speak.
Video of a previous appearance plays -Cibernetico- "If I were to stand in front of him, he would disintegrate. He is a nobody. He is someone that only talks to talk. I'm not worried, because if I were to stand in front him, he would wet his pants."
"He thinks he's beautiful. He think's he is handmade. Such a stupid face he has. One of those guys that are there for looks but when you touch them they break into pieces. If I give them a dickslap they would be left handicap."
Hostess- "Alright Poncho the day has arrived! He is here now. What do you have to say to him?"
Poncho- "Well I don't know what I could tell you. I don't know why he made these comments. The only thing I can say is what I thought at the time. I only answered those questions (asked if Ciber could cut it to be part of Poncho's elite male stripper group) and I said that thought he was a little overweight to make it in. And that he doesn't fit the type that the group has.
So I don't know why he had to make those comments about me. He is a sick person."
Host "What do you have to respond Ciber?"
Cibernetico- "He is an idiot. He has the face of an idiot that he can't handle. (laughing at Poncho) no no no...
Hostess-"I think you are jealous because he is handsome Ciber. You are jealous."
Ciber- "Jealous of what? My queen. Please. You call that handsome? Do you live on a desert island or what?"
Hostess-"So Ciber, what do you have against Poncho? You don't like that he has his face looking all pretty? You want to destroy his face or something?
Ciber-"It is pretty isn't it? Poncho De Nigris is so beautiful. He is lovely. (mocking tone) Maybe he's I don't know...maybe gay?
Poncho-"You people have been giving him all this publicity and the truth is he is just another wrestler. Latin Lover is a true example for him. (Ciber adds on "You boyfriend Latin Lover") You are making him famous after hitting a government offical. Now he's on TV for that right? (Ciber agreeing with him in a mocking manner)
"I am very happy here working on this telenovela "Codigo Postal" after recieving the oppurtunity to be on here. I have a very big project coming up and it's going to be..(Ciber interrupts)
Ciber-"Why yes. I think you play some idiot on there no? I think maybe even a mentally handicap person no? Yes, yes, I remember now."
Poncho-"I be..and here we have someone with a disgusting physique like you would see at a waterpark. Like a pig. He keeps coming on here to latch onto everyone else's fame. It's not my fault I'm beautiful."
Host- "Aren't you afraid of Ciber putting a beating on you?
Poncho-"I could be an ant. Where an ant  could know you are going to kill it but it will still bite you. So...
Ciber-" No, you are not an ant. You are a cockroach. With this (grabs crutch and motions attack)"
Hostess-"He called you a pig!
Ciber-"What can he say? He is a lizard. He has the body of the village stray dog. What can he say? Look at that stupid face of his. He calls himself a lady-killer? No, the ones from before. They were classy."
"You think you are a star now for being on that little TV show? No, you are just filler. Telenovela filler like anyone else. That is what you are. Please"
Poncho-"Take off your shirt so we can see that whale looking body of yours"
Ciber-"You know what? I am going to tell you something. I am still training. But this is only to upset you I will be entering to take part in that striptease act you do. I am going to speak with the owner of the group's rights and getting in. This is just to shut that mouth of yours.
That mouth that stanks because I think it's connected to your ass and the only thing that comes out of it is shit. Everything that comes out of your mouth. IT STINKS. YOU STINK. (double middle fingers camera and laughs)

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 08/31/2018
Marcela/Lluvia/Jarochita vs. Dalys/Reyna Isis/Amapola
Who’s who?
Marcela maskless in white with purple hair, Lluvia in white with mask, and Jarochita is in blue with a mask.
Dalys in white, Reyna Isis in red and Amapola in black.
How’s the match?
Good, I’m sure those of you who read these or are reading them back to back might call me a broken record, but... this is pretty on par for a luchadora match. It’s not bad, but doesn’t really stand out amongst the field. The luchador division could use a title match, but it never feels like anyone is being built up to be a good challenger for Dalys. Kaho is coming back soon and maybe she will prove to be a proper challenge again.
Casas Family(Negro Casas, Felino & Tiger) vs. NGD(Sanson, Cuatrero & Forastero)
Who’s who?
Negro Casas in his plain black briefs, Felino in a black/orange bodysuit & Tiger in a gold singlet with a black shirt on.
NGD are all in black/white.
Forastero has gold trim and bandolier on his tights, Cuatrero has horseshoes and Sanson has a lion on his forehead.
How’s the match?
Great, this match has lots of great moment and the crowd was obviously into the idea. Negro Casas only has so many rivalries left. People have probably been saying that about him for 5 years, but at 58, one has to wonder and worry about just how much time he has left. So whenever a match like this happens where seeds of a rivalry can be planet... people get plenty excited. Add to that the fact NGD are one of the best trios ever and Tiger/Felino relish in working together in a father/son tandem and there is very little to not love/like about this match.
Los Guerreros Laguneros(Ultimo/Gran/Euforia) vs. Klan Kaos(Ciber The Main Man/Scharly Rockstar/The Chris)
Who’s who?
Ultimo maskless, Euforia the biggest in full pants and Euforia also masked a bit shorter and not in full pants. This is normally the way to tell who is who.
Cibernetico similarly is the only guy on his team without full pants, Charley has on facepaint and Zorro of course has no face paint and full pants.
How’s the match?
Good, it’s short... but that might be a good thing? This match is obviously just to build toward the trios title matches both these teams will be having at 85th Anniversary. It’s short and uneventful, but seeing as how all the other Klan Kaos matches in CMLL have been fairly dull it’s nice they didn’t take more time than they needed here.
Barbaro Cavernario vs. Matt Taven
Who’s who?
Barbaro is the caveman and Matt Taven has blonde hair.
How’s the match?
Great, my main complaint about this match has nothing to do with in ring action. That being that if this was a title match for the belt Taven had been holding a little over a month ago... this match would have been even more exciting/hyped. Still the in ring action was aplenty and both guys were reversing each other and having answers for one anothers biggest moves. Even reversing other reversals, so it really felt like both guys were ready for this fight and by extension should be ready for the big tag team main event they are going to be in at 85th Anniversary. While Matt Taven/Barbaro are the less seasoned(in CMLL) of that main event at 85th... both are exciting. If this was a preview of Anniversary, it did a great job of selling that tag match.
Ingobernables(Rush/Naito/Bushi) with Evil, Terrible, Bestia del Ring & La Comandante vs. Volador Jr., La Park & Diamante Azul
Who’s who?
Rush in white, Naito in red/black shorts and Bushi in mask.
Volador Jr. maskless, La Park in red skeleton suit & Azul in blue.
How’s the match?
Very good, it was plenty of fun to see ingobernables run wild in Arena Mexico. This match might be too messy and unorganized for some, but that seems to fit with ingobernables coming out with an army. When 7 people came out for a 3 man team... the writing was on a wall for a crazy brawl. Some people might not dig it and I personally wish we saw more from Naito, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy watching this match. Bushi actually being way more fun than I was expecting him to be here.
No audible called though, so not I’d say all hope of La Park/Rush happening at 85th Anniversary is dead at this point. Unless they are going to pull the trigger next week literally a week before the event happens.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 07/26/2019
Magnus & Magia Blanca vs. Sangre Azteca & Akuma
Who’s who?
Magnus in pink and Magia in white.
Sangre Azteca/Akuma both in black the latter maskless in facepaint.
How’s the match?
Very good, for an opening match these 4 give you more than you’d expect and get the show off to a bang. Magia Blanca won the 2018 New Values cup and looked destined for greatness. I hope he finds his way out of these opening matches, but he may have ring rust that CMLL brass see greater than I. Magnus, I don’t think ever will and at this point Sangre Azteca won’t either. Akuma might... by leaving CMLL and teaming with brother Demus more.
Guerrero Maya Jr., Drone & Fuego vs. Misterioso, Kawato San & Tiger
Who’s who?
Maya in white, Drone in blue/black & Fuego in orange.
Misterioso in green, Kawato maskless & Tiger in black/orange.
How’s the match?
Very good, these midcard matches almost always deliver, even if the people in them don’t tend to get the big moments you’d think these performances would earn. Kawato San is the only man with a belt here, and him being a young lion likely has more to to with that than a merit based reward. Tiger wins here with a La Casita his uncle and fans can be proud of.
Titan, Soberano Jr. & Audaz vs. Mephisto, Ephesto & Luciferno
Who’s who?
Titan in silver mask with dark blue trunks, Audaz in gold & Soberano in blue.
Mephisto in grinning mask the other two in name shirts.
How’s the match?
Great, Demons really brought their A game vs this dream team of tecnicos and came up just short. They were the team NGD beat for the Mexican National Trios Championships from ages ago and might be good challengers. It’s hard to say where the demons belong on the cards these days being goldless and all.
Valiente vs. Barbaro Cavernario Lightning Match
Who’s who?
Valiente masked, Barbaro not.
How’s the match?
Very good, the better lightning match of the week. Helped in great part that Valiente and Barbaro are more hyped talents at the moment than either Triton or Polvora who had one Tuesday Night in Arena Mexico. Valiente has a few things he tends to get off and they were unleashed here. Barbaro beat him by a hair and proved who the better man Friday Night was.
Rush, Ciber & Bestia del Ring vs. Ultimo Guerrero, Negro Casas & Rey Bucanero
Who’s who?
Rush with long hair in white/black unlike his father who is shaved. Ciber in a The Cl4n shirt.
Ultimo in red, Bucanero in facepaint and Casas in his plain black.
How’s the match?
Very good, Ciber/Rush teaming is a treat and a first for CMLL as far as I know. Rey Bucanero has a good moment or two here, despite being one of the weaker links in this contest. Bestia/Ciber don’t have as surprising moments, with Ciber winning the contest with some rudo tactics. Ultimo/Ciber could be the Anniversary Main Event, but wouldn’t be ideal since Ciber isn’t exactly a work rate sorta guy, but those are 2 big hairs to put on the line.
Caristico, Volador Jr. & Mistico vs. NGD(Sanson/Cuatrero/Forastero)
Who’s who?
Caristico/Mistico in similar white, with Caristico being the bigger man. Volador Jr. teaming with them is the only maskless guy.
Sanson in white pants black boots, Cuatrero in black pants and white boots & Forastero in gold trim.
How’s the match?
Very good, a solid Friday Main Event, but not one that stacked up to NGD’s best matches of this year. Including the one last Friday teaming with Volador Jr., so this match isn’t one that I’ll likely be coming back to, when NGD just have so many other better ones to revisit. Still, not back for a random Friday and with nothing on the line. Ending could have been better too.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 08/23/2019
Espiritu Negro & El Hijo del Signo vs. Super Astro Jr. & Sonic
How’s the match?
Very good, it’s hard to steal the show in this spot, but that doesn’t stop Super Astro Jr. from trying. It’s a little odd to have a stage dive in an opening match, yet we see one here. Super Astro Jr. seems much more polished than you’d expect from a guy who’s been on the roster for a year and a half. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for his promising career.
Átomo, Gallito & Microman vs Chamuel, Guapito & Perico Zakarías
How’s the match?
Good drama, bad match. It’s hard to say that a story is no risk or even low risk. If CMLL were to book Ciber/Ultimo it likely wouldn’t live up to its position as the main event lucha de apuestas at Anniversary.
With Microman vs. Chamuel, if they booked that as the midcard lucha de apuestas, I doubt anyone would have venom for it. It’s just such an interesting idea and would be something CMLL can do that pretty much no other promotion could do. Microman could be an icon for CMLL, if they are smart enough to pull the trigger on him. Chamuel would be fine without a mask as well.
Audaz, Flyer & Titán vs Cuatrero, Forastero & El Hijo del Villano III
How’s the match?
Great, all these guys are fun to watch and prove it once again here. Templario was suppose to be in this spot. He may have had travel issues, but Villano was a fine replacement and an exciting body to add to the equation, not a let down of a replacement like many other rudos might have been. A member of NGD should main Anniversary vs. someone.
Volador Jr. vs Sansón Lightning Match
How’s the match?
Great, that’s back to back weeks that Volador Jr. has had a really good match vs. a member of NGD. Maybe he will fight Cuatrero soon, but he is in Gran Prix teaming with Forastero and that might mean a match between those two again, which would be welcomed as well. Or this in 2/3 falls format or title match.
Ángel de Oro, Místico & Niebla Roja vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero & Terrible
How’s the match?
Great, Oro/Roja vs. Guerreros still feels fresh and you couldn’t ask for better 3rd’s than Terrible & Mistico. Trios of the night and maybe trios of the week. Gran Guerreros flying lariat continues to impress. Always gonna be hyped to see him whip that out. A bit more exciting than their standard team splash.
Cavernario, Diamante Azul & Último Guerrero vs Ciber the Main Man, The Chris & Valiente
How’s the match?
Very good, Ciber worked better with buddy The Chris around. Valiente felt like the 3rd wheel here. Sorta a victim of the stipulation since they needed a face. I’d have gone with Caristico, but he’d probably have been a 3rd wheel as well. A fun main event and no promise of a hair match yet... despite it feeling inevitable.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 08/02/2019
Super Astro Jr. & Oro Jr. vs. Sangre Azteca & Dark Magic
Who’s who?
Astro in silver & Oro in black.
Azteca in yellow and Dark Magic maskless.
How’s the match?
Very good, for an opening match these 4 give you more than you’d expect and get the show off to a bang. This was the same thing I said last week, but it’s a bit more surprising this week because Sangre Azteca & Dark Magic are just a random team and haven’t teamed before. They didn’t feel like a team, but still did pretty good. This wouldn’t be the last we saw Dark Magic tonight.
Microman, Gallito & Atomo vs. Chamuel, Perico & Guapito
Who’s who?
Microman/Gallito both in yellow, Microman being smaller and has no shirt, Atomo in red.
Chamuel in black masked, Perico in bird mask and Guapito in see through shirt maskless.
How’s the match?
Good, but this division doesn’t feel like it’s evolving it’s normal match. This feels like many micro matches we have seen in the past. They should try to do a tag match or even a singles. Because as everyone has pointed out, past Chamuel/Microman/Gallito this division isn’t great. Perico or Mije could probably be the 4th in a decent tag match for this division.
Seeding Battle Royal
Luchadora Universal Championship Torneo Cibernetico 1 of 2(next Friday will have the 2nd)
Who’s who?
Marcela, green/black, current CMLL women's champ, winner of this tournament gets a title match with her as well as their own Universal Championship belt, which they will defend the next year vs. the winner of this tournament.
Amapola, blue/blonde, last person to challange for the CMLL women's championship and has 2nd most time with that belt behind Marcela.
Metalica, blue/masked,  Mexican National Women's champion, the secondary women's title and beat Marcela on Monday in a Lightning Match.
Tiffany, black/blonde, Seasoned veteran.
Sanely, blue/black/gloves, daughter of Mano Negra, relatively new face.
Infernal, pink, coming out of retirement, wife of the passed Villano III also mother to both Villano III sons. The one here in CMLL(Hijo) and the other in AAA(Jr.).
Maligna, black/green/horns, demon themed tecnica.
La Guerrera, white, CMLL gym trainee in her 1st year on the roster.
Seductora, black/red hair/suit/tie front, veteran, was shaved by Sugehit earlier this year or late last year.
Avispa Dorada, yellow/black, from Seattle, American masked luchadora who runs a blog about her journeys in wrestling.
How’s the match?
Fantastic, maybe I’m just an optimistic fool, but this match had the promise of showcasing some of the new luchadora talent that CMLL have signed the last year or two and some old staples who have been around for ages or came back after lengthy retirements. My favorite of these ten and really may favorite in the whole tournament walked away the winner here. I won’t say who it is, but I’m very glad she was the winner and am now sold on the finals without even knowing who she will fight between the ten in this match type next week. Finals will be on the 16th vs. winner of Next week’s block on the 9th.
Gran Guerrero vs. Dragon Lee Lightning Match
Who’s who?
Gran Guerrero in green to Lee’s blue.
How’s the match?
Great, I will admit to being a big Gran Guerrero fan. Hell, I’m a big Dragon Lee fan too. This match is between the winner of the main event of CMLL 83rd and 94th Anniversary. It doesn’t seem like it well get to that level anytime soon, but these two in a mask vs. mask match would be a great Anniversary Main Event. This was a taste of what an epic like that could be like. With 10 minutes they put out a classic, give them a proper 2/3 falls match and it’s a possible MOTY.
Rush, Ciber & Terrible vs. Ultimo Guerrero, Dark Magic & Barbaro Cavernario
Who’s who?
Rush/Terrible in white shirts, with Terrible shaved. Ciber in a black Cl4n shirt.
Ultimo in red, Dark Magic in blue and Barbaro in animal print.
How’s the match?
Good, but a little worrying for CMLL Anniversary’s main event. I love Ultimo, but I doubt Cibernetico can do a full match. Barbaro/Rush was in this match too and that main event is potentially the best match they could run. Putting the winners of last year in the match this year is a great case of escalation and one of these flawless manes would need to be cut down at matches end. Both are undefeated in hair vs. hair matches, but Barbaro did lose his first Apuestas match which was for his mask, before he came to CMLL.
More likely we get Ultimo Guerrero vs. Cibernetico, which will have big shoes to fill after Blue Demon Jr. vs. Dr. Wagner Jr.’s brutal old man battle at Triplemania(yes, I’m writing this after Triplemania).
Caristico, Volador Jr. & Mistico vs. NGD(Sanson/Cuatrero/Forastero)
Who’s who?
Caristico/Mistico in similar white, with Mistico having am sleeves. Volador Jr. teaming with them is the only maskless guy.
Sanson in white pants black boots, Cuatrero in black pants and white boots & Forastero in gold trim.
How’s the match?
Good, a decent Friday Main Event, but not one that stacked up to NGD’s best matches of this year. Forastero is a cheeky bastard here and like last week wins via lies. Last week he threw his mask to Volador Jr. and this match he faked a kick to the groin. NGD vs. this team in a title match could be epic and this might be the beginnings of that. This match isn’t the one we’ll remember though.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 06/21/2019
Robin & Super Astro Jr. vs. Espiritu Negro & El Hijo del Signo
Who’s who?
Robin in green, Astro in silver.
Espiritu Negro in black & Hijo del Signo is maskless.
How’s the match?
Good, this didn’t soar above what a Friday opener normally is, but I’m always down for more Super Astro Jr. I love his signature jumping blind tope his father was famous for doing. This was a solid match. Everyone looked pretty good here and the ending was a pretty exciting string of moves from all 4 men eliminating one after the other.
Triton, Fuego & Drone vs. Tiger, Virus & Disturbio
Who’s who?
Triton in white, Fuego in orange/yellow & Drone in black/blue.
Tiger in orange, Virus in black/face paint and Disturbio with yellow hair.
How’s the match?
Very good, I’m surprised Tiger/Triton are actually sorta building heat here as the barrel towards a tag title match Monday night where Triton/Esfinge will defend vs. Tiger and his father Felino. Virus continues to have a career after ending Metalico’s 3 weeks ago. The main story was all Tiger/Triton though who seemed to have eyes only for one another. This build has been pretty good for a match that will happen in Puebla.
Hechicero, Templario & Kawato San vs. Audaz, Flyer & Soberano Jr.
Who’s who?
Hechicero in suspenders, Templario in silver and Kawato maskless in blue/silver.
Audaz in gold, Flyer in black, Soberano in blue/yellow.
How’s the match?
Fantastic, I have to imagine whoever produces matches and shows in Arena Mexico told these guys to go all out. Because these guys did spots you never or rarely seen pulled out and did lots of them. This match had some of the best spots I’ve seen in Lucha whether personal favorites or things that caught me by surprise. This might be a match of the year and is certainly in contention for best trios match of the year for certain.
Titan vs. Negro Casas Lightning Match
Who’s who?
Titan masked, Casas not.
How’s the match?
Great, Casas continues to bring it when CMLL calls upon him to do a singles match like this. He and Titan had a fun war here, I’m not as into this as I’ve been with the Casas/Soberano Jr. single matches and I still want to see a title match between those two. This lightning match is slightly hurt by the fact neither guy has a belt and thus there isn’t much for this match to lead to regardless of winner. Suppose this could start off a mask/hair feud, but didn’t seem like that’s where this was going... this felt self contained.
Los Guerreros Laguneros(Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Guerrero & Euforia) vs. Gilbert el Boricua, Ciber the Main Man & The Chris
Who’s who?
Ultimo maskless, Gran/Euforia masked with Euforia in full pants all in blue.
Gilbert topless, Ciber/Chris in Cl4n shirts with Chris in full pants, all maskless.
How’s the match?
Meh, Cl4n still aren’t impressive and adding Gilbert as their 3rd didn’t really help either act in my opinion. I get Ciber The Main Man has lots of fans and is very well known, but I’m just not that into it. Hopefully they can start impressing, but the last dozen or so appearances doesn’t make it seem likely. Seems like next week we will get a rematch, because of the controversial finish here.
Copa Dinastias Finals : Rush & Bestia del Ring vs. Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja
Who’s who?
Rush/Bestia in white with Rush being younger and with long hair.
Angel in gold/silver and Roja in red.
How’s the match?
Great, Bestia isn’t exactly the workrate darling and neither is Rush. Still they showed up here as powerful rudos for Angel de Oro/Niebla Roja to battle in a tournament final. This tournament felt like a stop gap as they often are, when not one of the main 4-5 that CMLL run a year. It’s not a bad idea for a tournament, but this wasn’t as well executed as it could have been. Seemed weird the Munoz family got two teams in, but at the same time it made a good story for Oro/Roja to beat Lee/Mistico in the block final then taking on their older brother and father in the finals here. This feels like a good replacement for the Homage to 2 Legends PPV main event which had a deflating finish. Angel de Oro has said he’d like to fight Rush in hair vs. hair and with this year being the Chavez Brothers remption season so far, that seems less unlikely each day that passes heading towards Anniversary.

Arena Mexico New Values Report! 07/09/2019
Yago & El Cholo vs. Robin & Sonic
Who’s who?
Yago in black with dreads coming off his mask, Cholo the only maskless guy.
Robin in black/white and Sonic in gold.
How’s the match?
Good, again Robin is in a pretty unremarkable tag team match. At least he is making shows, I suppose. Cholo probably shouldn’t be getting on these shows. I’m not sure why CMLL is using him, other than I suppose you can’t book Raziel/Cancerbero or Grako/Coyote on every show.
Super Astro Jr., Pegasso & Stigma vs. Espiritu Negro, Espanto Jr. & Akuma
Who’s who?
Astro in silver mask, Pegasso in blue and Stigma in black/red.
Negro without shit, Espanto in black mask with white cross and Akuma in facepaint, all 3 rudos in black.
How’s the match?
Very good, it gets that instead of a good simply because Super Astro Jr. doing the blind leaping tope off the apron would make me okay with watching any match. Great move, that I can’t wait to see be pulled out for a torneo cibernetico sometime down the line. Pegasso/Stigma were solid as always too and Akuma/Espanto have formed a fine rudo duo.
Rey Cometa,Blue Panther Jr. & Black Panther vs. Kawato San, Dark Magic & Polvora
Who’s who?
Cometa in facepaint, Blue in blue, Black in black.
Kawato in blue/silver, Dark Magic in red maskless and Polvora in black wearing the only mask on the rudo side.
How’s the match?
Good, but was very much a match about building heat more than blowing it off. So we didn’t see as much as we could have. Post match Blue Panther Jr. challenges Polvora who unmasked him. Rey Cometa chimed in too, and it seems we may be building a Polvora/Kawato vs. Blue Panther Jr./Rey Cometa tag team apuestas match, but that might be too early to call.
Negro Casas, Felino & Tiger vs. Soberano Jr., Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja
Who’s who?
Negro Casas in black, Felino in black/orange and Tiger the only masked Casas.
Soberano in white masked, Angel in white too & Roja in red.
How’s the match?
Great, again it’s always a pleasure to see Negro Casas and it’s a rarer treat to see him teaming with his brother and nephew Tiger. Good action from the Casas family as the rudo crew here. Soberano Jr. and Casas feud, but Casas shared the love when it came to chopping the tecnico team. Can’t wait to see who Casas is facing at Anniversary.
Gran Guerrero, Euforia & Templario vs. Volador Jr., Caristico & Flyer
Who’s who?
Volador Jr. in white, Caristico in gold/white & Flyer in black.
Gran/Euforia/Templario all in red with Euforia in full pants and Templario having a black cross on his mask.
How’s the match?
Very Good, it’s nice seeing this formation of LGL. Ultimo wasn’t even on this show tonight, but likely worked Arena Coliseo or some other venue this night. Flyer feels above his station here, but is probably tagging along with Volador Jr. An okay match, but nothing too surprising here.
Dragon Lee vs. Barbaro Cavernario
Who’s who?
Lee masked, Barbaro not.
How’s the match?
Great, Barbaro and Lee have great chemistry and again that leads to another great match in their rivalry. Last year Barbaro won Leyenda de Plata and I could see him making the finals this year, but vs. Dragon Lee. That would be a great way to up the stakes on this rivalry and give them something to fight over that isn’t their respective belts.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 07/12/2019
Principe Diamante & Halcon Suriano Jr. vs. Grako & Coyote
Who’s who?
Principe & Halcon in both blue/white and Principe with a shirt.
Grako in green/gold & Coyote in brown.
How’s the match?
Very good, an opener with 4 young guys who all want to show CMLL and the fans that they are more than just a warm up match. Love to see this, would like more openers like that on Friday Nights and really on all shows CMLL run.
Microman, Gallito & Atomo vs. Chamuel, Perico & Guapito
Who’s who?
Microman in white, Gallito in red/black and Atomo in blue maskless.
Chamuel in black/red, Perico in pink & Guapito in blue maskless.
How’s the match?
Very good, a nice showing from the minis, but like almost all the mini matches the 3rd’s often don’t feel like they fit. Perhaps they are needing masks? Atomo/Guapito have almost never impressed and neither had Angel who is the ref here. I hate to be the sourpuss on them, but figure it should be said.
Atlantis Jr., Atlantis & Stuka Jr. vs. El Hijo del Villano III, Hechicero & Ephesto
Who’s who?
Atlantis and Jr. in white masks and Stuka in black/blue.
Villano in pink, Hechicero in suspenders and Ephesto in name shirt.
How’s the match?
Very good, the 2nd generation feud between Villano & Atlantis’ sons has been hot all year. They seem to hate each other and I can’t wait to see where this goes. Will we get a mask vs. mask as soon as this Anniversary in September. Rest of this group was good too with Stuka and Hechicero obviously having good chemistry from their recent feuding.
NGD vs. Volador Jr, Valiente & Titan
Who’s who?
Sanson with lion on his forehead, Cuatrero with horseshoes on his gear & Forastero having gold trim.
Volador Jr. in black spiderman gear, Valiente in red & Titan in gold mask.
How’s the match?
Great, NGD still hit it out of the park even if their titles weren’t on the line like last week. My favorite moment has to be NGD winning the 2nd round by just spamming their finishers one after the other on poor Volador Jr. Really good showing between title matches for NGD on this Friday show.
Rush, Mistico & Dragon Lee vs. Mr. Niebla, The Chris & Gilbert el Boricua
Who’s who?
Rush maskless, Mistico in black/white full pants as is Dragon Lee.
Mr. Niebla in orange/white masked, The Chris with long hair in Cl4n shirt & Gilbert in gold/black pants.
How’s the match?
Very good, but feels like just an excuse to get the Munoz boys together. They could use a better team to face off. Mr. Niebla, Chris and Gilbert feels so random and thus the match didn’t really feel all that dramatic. Seemed like a foregone conclusion Rush and younger brothers would go over here and surely enough they did.
Ciber The Main Man vs. Ultimo Guerrero
Who’s who?
Ciber in black & Ultimo in red.
How’s the match?
Good, but not the great match it should have been given that this is Ciber’s first singles match in CMLL. Ultimo Guerrero tried his best to match this a match worth caring about, but Ciber didn’t really do enough. First fall happened in a flash likely to keep it short, but that didn’t do as much help to the match as people had hoped.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 07/05/2019
Super Astro Jr. & Robin vs. Hijo del Signo & Espanto Jr.
Who’s who?
Astro in silver & Robin in green.
Both rudos in black, with Signo maskless.
How’s the match?
Great, might be too high of praise for this match in some people’s books, but luckily this blog is my own book. I LOVE Super Astro Jr. and he really brought it here. Loved this big dive he did with an assist from Robin. It’s throwing caution to the wind, which is what all the best dives do in my opinion.
Rey Cometa, Pegasso & Star Jr. vs. Virus, Polvora & Okumura
Who’s who?
Cometa in facepaint, Pegass/Star in blue, with Jr. having red accents/no top.
Virus in facepaint, Polvora in red flamey mask & Okumura the older asian guy.
How’s the match?
Good, tecnico team is always fun to watch. Virus too is normally pretty good. Okumura isn’t my favorite, but I do have a soft spot for him. It’s nice to see him return after being away for a long while injured. The ending to this match hurt it as does having like 4 of the guys in the 6 man match be pretty unmoving midcard staples who aren’t going to be doing much of note in the coming weeks. Cometa/Virus being the two who might do something of note.
Atlantis Jr. vs. Hijo del Villano III in a Lightning Match(?)
Who’s who?
Atlantis in white mask and Villano in black.
How’s the match?
Great, often times a heated rivalry can produce great matches, even from green/new talents. That was the case here. These two having a built in rivalry thanks to their father’s legendary lucha de apuestas from nearly 20 years ago. I could see some hating this ending, but I think it leaves the door open for another match... so I’m pretty on board with it.
NGD(Sanson, Cuatrero & Forastero)(c) vs. La Excelencia Tapatia(Titan, Triton & Esfinge) for the Mexican National Trios Championships
Who’s who?
NGD boot code : Sanson in black boots, Cuatrero in white and Forastero in gold.
Titan in orange mask, Triton in black & Esfinge in gold.
How’s the match?
Fantastic, another classic NGD title defense. They have become some of the biggest stars in CMLL and thus Mexico in the last 3 years or so and it’s in great part due to these matches they continue to produce. I love seeing them as a unit and both Sanson/Cuatrero have proven they can go in singles action too. I’ve been wanting to see this matches for ages too... as Titan/Triton are two of my favorite tecnicos on the roster. This was not only one to go out of your way to see, but should also be on the short list of suggested matches for anyone who wants to see the best action Lucha Libre has produced this year.
Ciber The Main Man, Mistico & Rey Bucanero vs. Gran Guerrero, Soberano Jr. & Euforia
Who’s who?
Ciber in black cl4n shirt, Mistico in white/black & Bucanero in facepaint.
Gran/Euforia both in red with Euforia in full pants, Soberano in blue.
How’s the match?
Great, have really enjoyed watching Soberano/Euforia team up. The first time being just a month or so ago in Copa Dinastias. The two being father and son, but of different alignments. Euforia being a rudo to Soberano’s tecnico. They teamed here, because it’s an off pairings trios match. With Mistico too being a tecnico teaming with two rudos. Honestly want to see more Soberano with Euforia, but not sure if that trigger will be pulled... because one of them would have to turn. Ending is a little deflating and strangely the follow up for Ciber unmasking Gran is next week Ciber vs. Ultimo... so not sure how much sense that makes.
Caristico, Volador Jr. & Valiente vs. Gilbert El Boricua, El Terrible & Bestia del Ring
Who’s who?
Caristico in white, Volador Jr. in white/red & Valiente in Metallic blue.
Terrible/Bestia in black/yellow with Bestia having western boots and Gilbert in black.
How’s the match?
Good, a bit by the numbers and it’s either the least interesting match of the night, or 2nd least interesting below Cometa. Just not much to really pop for here. Valiente/Caristico/Volador Jr. are all great as are the rudos, but nothing here seemed like it was very important. A forgettable main event, for a pretty great overall show.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 03/01/2019
Coyote & Grako vs. Robin & Astral
Who’s who?
Coyote in brown & Grako in green/gold.
Robin in blue/white & Astral in gold.
How’s the match?
Good, it’s not a blast, but it’s an opening match. I normally don’t expect much for matches in this spot. This filled the slot just fine. It felt very much like a clock in and clock out situation. Not too much new here, but not much reason to expect new since these guys are always in this position. Robin look like he might have hurt something doing his 2nd fall submission. Not sure what that was about, but didn’t seem too serious.
Dalys, Tiffany & Reyna Isis vs. Kaho Kobashi, Princesa Sugehit & Jarochita
Who’s who?
Dalys in red/white/blue 2 piece, Tiffany in all black, Isis in red.
Kaho in shorts/sports top, Sugehit in purple & Jarochita in green.
How’s the match?
Good, I think all 6 women here did a fine job. These are some of the better talents from the division and it’s nice to see Tiffany here without Amapola since the two of them always wear black get ups and have long blond hair. Nothing here stood out too much for me though. I think Kaho continues to be good on this 2nd tour, but it’s hard to really feel where this 2nd tour is heading. They keep pairing her with Dalys, which I fear will just mean getting another Dalys singles match, which was the final match for her the last tour she had with CMLL. I’d like to see her and Metalica for the Mexican National Women’s title, but that doesn’t seem to be in the plans or at least alluded to just yet.
Hechicero, Felino & Vangellys vs. Rey Cometa, Audaz & Flyer
Who’s who?
Hechicero lone masked rudo, Felino in orange/black and Vangellys in black/white with white hair.
Cometa in blue maskless, Flyer in blue masked, Audaz in gold.
How’s the match?
Very good, Audaz/Hechicero are two of my favorites on the roster. Rey Cometa/Felino are underrated gems and Vangellys/Flyer well... felt sorta like 3rd wheels here. I recall less with the two of them, but they were here somewhere. Worth checking out and might be the best trios match on this card, in great part due to it feeling completely while some of the later matches feel truncated by how some of the rounds end.
Templario vs. Titan lightning match
Who’s who?
Templario in silver, Titan in gold mask and blue trunks.
How’s the match?
Great, Titan continues to kill it in singles matches, this making weeks in a row for him, where is one on one match is the week's best match. I’d love to hope for a 3rd week in a row, but that seems unlikely. I won’t completely rule it out though, because Audaz last year felt like he had a month where each week had a lightning match with him and Audaz is/was less established than Titan. Templario too should be commended, being basically the rudo side of the Audaz coin and improving so much in 2018, can’t wait to see more great matches like this from Templario in 2019.
Gilbert & Cl4n(Ciber The Main Man & The Chris) vs. Diamante Azul, Caristico & Valiente
Who’s who?
Caristico in white, Valiente/Azul both in blue with the latter being bigger and wearing a white shirt to start.
Gilbert shirtless, Ciber’s shirt has Cl4n on the front and I think Chris is wearing a vest and doesn’t have Cl4n as visible on his shirt.
How’s the match?
Good, Cl4n still aren’t my cup of tea, but they did mostly fine here. Ciber is still seemingly the worst of the 3 or perhaps 4 now. As Gilbert came out with them here, but still doesn’t seem like an official member. Like Barbaro last year who made plenty of entrances with Ingobernables, but never joined. Some people seem to be pretty uninspired by a Gilbert/Azul match that this set up. I’m excited, but it seems more like a tag feud should be set up, since Azul/Valiente have tag belts and Azul has no singles gold nor does Gilbert. From what I’ve seen Gilbert feels like he benefits from fighting smaller guys, we’ll see if a hoss battle with Azul will be able to yield anything interesting the next week.
Volador Jr., Niebla Roja & Angel de Oro vs. Ingobernables(Rush, Terrible & Bestia del Ring)
Who’s who?
Volador in red/white/blue, Roja in red & Angel de Oro in gold.
Rush shirtless in western boots, his father Bestia in black shirt with western boots and Terrible in a white shirt, normal boots.
How’s the match?
Very good, ingobernables bring with them chaos and the chaos of this match did a good job of building them for their hair match in 2 weeks vs. Oro/Roja who put up a good fight here, despite ingobernables showing very little to no respect for the rule of law. This was fun and it was nice to have Rush in a CMLL ring again. Not that it had been that long, it’s a shame he’ll be in RoH working the night of Homage to 2 Legends when his father Bestia and stable mate Terrible will be fighting for the right to keep their hair. This match won’t blow anyone away, but I found the chaos plenty of fun.

Arena Puebla Report! 10/01/2018
Astral, Magnus & Arkalis vs. Espanto Jr., El Perverso & Policeman
Who’s who?
Astral in silver, Magnus in pink & Arkalis in green all masked.
Espanto in black masked, Perverso in black/white singlet & Policeman in black pants both of them maskless.
How’s the match?
Good, I don’t think this will make my top 5 of the week. Still it felt more solid than matches that are normally in this slot and Espanto Jr. seems like he is trying harder the last few weeks. It was refreshing to see some feuding in this match with Astral/Espanto Jr. seeming to be the focus here. Everyone else was just fine, Espanto Jr.’s sequence to get the 1st fall is probably my favorite bit of this match.
Reyna Isis vs. Princesa Sugehit Lightning Match
Who’s who?
Reyna Isis in blue and Sugehit in white/silver.
How’s the match?
Good, this match just didn’t feel all that urgent. Also, Sugehit is just a titan of the luchadora division. Unless you are an outsider or Dalys It’s hard to believe anyone is going to best Sugehit. Hard to recommend this match as not that much stood out to me personally.
Blue Panther Jr., Black Panther & Stigma vs. Dragon Rojo Jr., Polvora & Okumura
Who’s who?
Blue Panther Jr. in blue, Black in black & Stigma in red/dark black.
Rojo in red, Polvora in black and Okumura in blue.
How’s the match?
Good, Panther Bros. paired well here with Polvora/Rojo. It’s not the best match either team has had this year, but was a nice contest before the more hyped up Semi-Main/Main matches. Rojo had fun in his entrance and since his daughter wasn’t around to dip he instead dipped one of the ring girls. Rojo/Blue Panther Jr. were the main two actors here with the contest involving them. This was fun, but not necessary viewing for the ongoing Rojo/Polvora vs. Panther Bros. feud. They have had better matches before this and will have better matches after it. Look for those instead.
Dark Magic, Sanson & Cuatrero vs. Michael Elgin, Kraneo & Diamante Azul
Who’s who?
Dark Magic in red, Sanson/Cuatrero in black while with Cuatrero having horseshoes on his gear.
Elgin in black, Kraneo in green and Azul in blue.
How’s the match?
Very Good, very fun debut for Dark Magic here who might continue to work with CMLL after Gran Prix as opposed to the rest of his Rest of the World team who are mostly just coming in for that. Though of course Okumura is a full time talent and Gilbert having left AAA will probably become a CMLL regular as we roll past 2018 and start 2019. I think Dark Magic has a chance to make a big splash being the only Black Man on the roster and with Sam Adonis AWOL he will basically be the only American on the roster as well. I’m hoping he does a good job in the big match Friday Night. Though, I’d be very shocked to see him win for Team Rest of the World. Elgin did okay, but it felt pretty samey to his performance Friday night. The biggest takeaway here was how roughly the Azul spot looked with Dark Magic. Assuming that Magic hadn’t taken it right since the move never looks that brutal. Overall a very fun match worth checking out.
Barbaro Cavernario, Terrible & Bestia del Ring vs. Volador Jr., La Park & Hijo de La Park
Who’s who?
Barbaro is the caveman, Terrible has long black hair and is dressed like Bestia, but with no wester boots and a thinner form.
Volador bald, La Park and son both in skeleton suits, but La Park is much bigger than his son.
How’s the match?
Great, I honestly wasn’t expecting to enjoy this match as much as I did. I think I underated how good Hijo is along with how invested I’d be in Barbaro/Volador Jr. feuding here. I also overrated how much Bestia del Ring would weigh this down. In fact it’s hard to be that upset in Bestia being here since he did let Hijo embarrass him by pouring drink down the back of his trunks. This was plenty of fun like all the La Park brawls. For end of the year list I won’t be surprised when my top 50 includes like 20 La Park wild brawls. With or without Rush they tend to be plenty of fun. This one of course is no different. Well worth checking out, but might not be everyone’s cup of tea and being into Barbaro/Volador feud will help people be more into it. I can’t wait to see them in a singles match for Volador Jr.’s belt next week. Which has been announced/made official by the time I wrote this. Puebla this week was mostly about the Main/Semi-Main imo.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 08/24/2018
Templario, Virus & Kawato San vs. Triton, Esfinge & Audaz
Who’s who?
Templario in silver, Virus in black & Kawato in red.
Triton in white, Esfinge in silver/gold and Audaz in all gold.
How’s the match?
Very good, Templario/Audaz throwing down is always fun as is Triton. Everyone did a great job here for the 2nd match of the night. If I was asked who the best midcard talents in CMLL are it would include Audaz/Templario/Triton with the 1st two being the best talents I can think of to not have a belt yet. I’d love to see Templario/Audaz go far in Incredible pairs a year or few from now.
I don’t want to discount the other 3 guys in this match though, Kawato San has been having a pretty good excursion in CMLL. Hopefully he can get a big singles match or get into a Torneo Cibernetico before 2018 closes out. Virus is a pillar as always and Esfinge and Triton are always a great team. Love seeing them team up on guys in this match.
Titan vs Angel de Oro Lightning Match
Who’s who?
Angel de Oro without mask, Titan with.
How’s the match?
Very good, this isn’t the best lightning match we have gotten lately, but it’s up there. Angel de Oro and Titan are both helped by the fact that they are upper midcard guys who both have something to prove. This isn’t an obvious win for either guy and made the less than 10 minute contest feel like it had purpose for both and wasn’t just a forgone conclusion like sometimes happens when a big name takes on some goober in a Tuesday Night lightning match.
The outcome here makes me wonder if Titan is penciled in to win that title match he has vs Mephisto this coming Tuesday. I would have expected him to win in order to build momentum into that title match. Angel de Oro could use this win, so it’s nice to see him getting it.This feels like his best year as far as exposure goes, thanks in large part to being in a big mask match, but most of the exposure has been in losses. While Titan’s win loss record doesn’t feel so drastically heavy in the loss column.
El Hijo de La Park, Soberano Jr., & Flyer vs. Hechicero, Negro Casas, & Mephisto
Who’s who?
Hijo de La Park in a skull suit like his old man, Soberano in dark blue, Flyer in light blue.
Hechicero has suspenders, Negro Casas in plain black and Mephisto in purple to honor Villano III.
How’s the match?
Fantastic, not sure what it was about this particular trios match... something just seemed to click and we got the best out of all 6 men. Not a wasted moment or movement with plenty of great action and rivalries being moved forward as well. Hijo de La Park tussling with Hechicero while Soberano Jr./Negro Casas also flamed the fires of their already interesting feud. It makes me wonder if on January 1st Negro Casas will again put his hair on the line like he did in 2018 and 2016. If not that even just a title match between the two would be something to behold and has a fairly decent chance of being one of Negro Casas’ last big singles matches before he rides off into the sunset.
La Park, Ultimo Guerrero & Gran Guerrero vs. Klan Kaos(Ciber The Main Man, The Chris & Scharly Rockstar)
Who’s who?
Park in purple, Ultimo/Gran in green/black with Ultimo being without mask.
Ciber is the only rudo without full pants, Scharly has facepain and Chris has full pants and no face paint.
How’s the match?
Good, but like all of the Klan matches... it’s just missing something. It’s not a wild enough brawl for any of them to sore, so this match just doesn’t click. It’s not a good sign that this and the main event are low points of the night when both matches are teasing and featuring the biggest stories for 85th Anniversary. This match is better than my lowest rating thus far of fine. Cause there were potions of this match with fun action and it felt like a full length match and not just a tease of the match they will have at Anniversary.
Ingobernables(Rush & Bestia del Ring) & Barbaro Cavernario vs. Volador Jr., Matt Taven & Caristico
Who’s who?
Rush in gold, Bestia in black and Barbaro in leopard print.
Volador Jr. in blue/lime green, Matt in black and Caristico in white.
How’s the match?
Fine, a dreaded rating and honestly it’s only given this and not something worse because Barbaro Cavernario did his big splash to the outside. Perhaps, pulling that out should be reason to rate it lower? It seems weird to whip that out here... not get the win with it. What wild thing is Barbaro planning for Anniversary, if he is using this now? Is he going to do one off the stage... and is that even something a fan of his really wanted from the caveman? This is too brief to really enjoy and feels like such a light and unexciting tease for the tag match that as of now and unless a drastic change happens in the next two weeks will main event Anniversary. It’s more deflating after seeing Triplemania which for the first time in years was firing on all cylinders.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 08/16/2019
Cancerbero & Raziel vs. Robin & Star Jr.
How’s the match?
Very good, Cancerbero/Raziel together are a great opening match unit and Star Jr. might be one of the most underutilized guys on the roster(that makes TV regularly at least). Robin isn’t someone I’m as hot for, but he is far from bad and seems to always be giving a decent effort which is more than I can say for some people on the roster.
Chamuel, Guapito & Perico Zacarías vs. Átomo, Gallito & Microman
How’s the match?
Good, CMLL has been booking the minis more regularly lately and this might be because Chamuel/Microman could have a mask vs. mask match at Anniversary. Microman is as serious as anyone has taken talents this small seriously. He is breaking the glass ceiling for this division, hopefully Chamuel won’t be hurt too badly by losing his mask and the two can show everyone how good a tiny 2/3 falls match can be. If they succeed we might even see a tiny belt in the next year or so. Giving the division stakes it the best way to make it more important.
Ephesto, Luciferno & Mephisto vs. Atlantis Jr., Flyer, Titan
How’s the match?
Good, but demons need to win something big sometime in the next few months. Lately they have felt very toothless since Mephisto lost his singles title and really leading up to that. They just don’t have any notable wins lately and that leaves them feeling a bit deflated as a unit. Atlantis Jr. looked good here though and he and Villano very well fit the role of new guys CMLL has invested in, just like in 2018 we had Templario/Audaz redesigns and pushes.
Metalica vs. Dalys for the Female Universal Championship
How’s the match?
Bad and that a major drag. This tournament felt like it had the potential to show the world what the luchadora division could do, but these finals shit the bed. It only went one fall as Metalica may have become injured. Dalys shouldn’t have been here in the first place and her winning is such a lazy booking. She just had the women’s championship, we all already knew she was a strong talent and this is just a notch on her belt that she didn’t need and that likely keeps the division in the boring state it was already in. I wouldn’t be surprised if this tournament doesn’t become annual, in part because it was underwhelming as fuck this year. I hate to say that, since the 1st torneo cibernetico/block is one of my favorite matches of this last month.
Cuatrero, Gilbert el Boricua & Sansón vs. Ángel de Oro, Diamante Azul & Niebla Roja
How’s the match?
Good, Oro/Roja vs. NGD has been a good feud, but has been going on for a while. I can certainly see/understand people being bored with it. I still like seeing them vs., but 3rds Azul/Gilbert should have been more the focus. I could be wrong though if Oro/Roja vs. NGD have something planned for the end of this year. Could certainly see Oro/Roja capping off their rebound year by winning the Mexican National Trios Championships, but probably with Soberano/Audaz or the like, not Azul. Though they did win here... so who knows? Maybe Azul would make a good bruiser for their 3rd.
Forastero vs. Volador Jr.
How’s the match?
Fantastic, one of the best CMLL matches of this summer. A great showcase for Forastero and probably his best singles showing so far of the dozen or so matches he has had. While his match with Barbaro Cavernario left Forastero feeling like a chump who got lucky in a lightning match, this feels like Forastero going toe to toe with the face of the company and even getting a fall without taking off his entrance gear chaps. Sanson/Cuatrero are still higher on the totem pole, but Forastero here for the 1st time solo felt like a guy on their level and not a hanger on, who just happens to be cousin to the two stars.
Dragón Lee, Místico & Último Guerrero vs. Carístico, Ciber the Main Man & Valiente
How’s the match?
Very good, but what the fuck is happening at Anniversary? I say that as a joke, but they tease both Mistico/Caristico while also playing on the Ultimo/Ciber story still. Fans want to start getting hyped and CMLL needs to nail down what is going to happen so they can start building to it. This likely won’t happen until September starts though as CMLL have announced Gran Prix at the end of August and Anniversary will be at the end of September, so look for it to be built starting on the 1st Friday of September.

Arena Mexico Super Friday Report! 08/09/2019
Oro Jr. & Magnus vs. Nitro & Sangre Azteca
Who’s who?
Oro in gold/black & Magnus in pink.
Nitro in fuzzy mohawk & Azteca in azteca styles great red/black.
How’s the match?
Good, but nothing too surprising here. Better opening match happened Tuesday Night with hungrier guys.
Mephisto, Ephesto & Okumura vs. Atlantis Jr., Titan & Dulce Gardina
Who’s who?
Mephisto in grin mask, Ephesto in name shirt & Okumura in orange.
Atlantis in white mask, Titan in silver mask & Dulce in pink, maskless.
How’s the match?
Very good, it’s hard not to enjoy this tecnico team of upstarts. Titan being the biggest star with the other two having debut in CMLL this year, Dulce just a month or two ago. The rudo team are good, Okumura is a strange third, but perhaps Luciferno wasn’t needed tonight.
Seeding Battle Royal
Luchadora Universal Tournament, Block B
Who’s who?
Dalys - The last person to hold the CMLL World Women's title before losing it to Marcela who was in last week's block, also wife of legend Negro Casas. Dalys is one of the pillars of the division alongside Marcela/Amapola/Sugehit. Wearing red/blue two piece an attire that references her birthplace of Panama.
Lluvia - likes bodysocks. Despite being around for a decade, she hasn't achieved much outside of unmasking La Magnifica.Wearing sparkly black/silver bodysuit.
Silueta - Again, hasn't done too much in CMLL, despite being around sind 2006ish. Lost her mask to Zeuxis in 2010. Pink hair, teal attire.
Comandante - Los Ingobernables valet, was added to the group when Terrible joined, as she has been his valet for ages. No way she wins, she will be wearing cargo pants and no mask.
Mystique - Indie luchadora, dresses a bit like a ninja and a geisha had a hybrid job. She joined the CMLL roster within the last year. Wearing all red.
Stephanie Vaquer - On and off indie luchadora coming back to CMLL for this tournament. Married to luchador Ricky Marvin. Born in Chile. Wearing black/blue, maskless.
Jarochita - Worked in AAA originally, joined Lucha Libre Elite in 2016(the one and only year that place acted as an NXT like for CMLL) before coming to CMLL proper where she has been since. Hasn't done too much in that time, but it's only 3ish years. Has worked in Japan too, including Sendai girls. Red hair, masked wearing black.
Skadi - Heavy Set girl, daughter of Marcela who was in last weeks block. Probably the only woman here who can match or surpass Dalys in strength. Bigger girl in grey/black bodysuit.
Reyna Isis - Arabian themed luchadora with a mouth covering facemask. Has worked Japan, mostly REINA a promotion CMLL use to have a partnership with.  Wearing flesh colored 2 piece and black veil.
Magnifica - A luchadora who first popped up as a winner of a 2011 AAA tournament, but that lead no where. Has been independent since, but may have just signed with CMLL to be part of this tournament. Mostly known for being a lucha de apuestas jobber, having lost 3 and won 0. Wearing black and is maskless.
How’s the match?
Very good, overall I don’t think it lived up to last weeks. Think last week had the more interesting people in it. While some of these people are just coming back and didn’t have great runs last time they were in CMLL. This one also suffers from a pretty predictable outcome too. Hopefully the finals are great, but Dalys isn’t the most exciting finalist.
Sanson, Cuatrero & Negro Casas vs. Valiente, Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja
Who’s who?
Sanson/Cuatrero in black/white with the latter having horseshoes on his gear and Negro Casas maskless in plain black.
Valiente the only masked tecnico, while Oro is in white and Roja in red.
How’s the match?
Great, who doesn’t want to see Cuatrero/Sanson teaming with Negro Casas? Valiente too is always a perfect 3rd man and it showed here. Great match for Friday night. Forastero going off to singles feuds is a little strange. It seems his current gimmick is picking fights he can’t win. Ending to this match though continues to prove that Cuatrero doesn’t have many fights he can’t win. Hope he defends his belt again soon.
Ultimo Guerrero(c) vs. Ciber The Main Man for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship
Who’s who?
Ultimo in red and Ciber in black.
How’s the match?
Good, it is what it is. They are testing the waters for Anniversary and the water is tepid. Match wasn’t god awful by any means, but won’t go down as a great title match. Ultimo pulled out some cool spots, but Ciber never looked that great. Maybe he should adopt a dive, or if this became no DQ perhaps some heaters would help Ciber out. Cl4n? Still not too excited for this feud, Ultimo had a lukewarm feud with Cl4n last year too for the trios titles.
Volador Jr., Dragon Lee & Diamante Azul vs. Gran Guerrero, Euforia & Forastero
Who’s who?
Volador maskless in white, Lee in white masked & Azul in blue.
Gran/Euforia both in red with Euforia in full pants & Forastero in black/gold.
How’s the match?
Ehhh lots or great talents, but not a good match. Just too obvious of a set up match that ends too quickly. Forastero next week will be taking on Volador Jr. one on one. Hopefully this whatever match leads to that great match and not that thrashing of Forastero at the altar of Volador Jr. We will see next week, could lead to a title match that Forastero loses like what happened with Barbaro earlier this year.
