Victorian Adamgail AU still on the brain so here's a rundown of what I think the siblings would wear and why:

Abigail favours the practicality of her clothes while still wanting to be fashionable. The large hoop skirts of the 1850s decade are still visible, however with tight or short sleeves to make it easier when she's working with Dr Gordon. Of course there are times, however, when practicality can be ditched for something more stylish, such as when she is out with her friend Marissa for lunch. She'd mainly wear earthy tones, not wanting to appear too flashy and stand out. Blending into a crowd is what makes her feel most comfortable.

I also know some people headcanon Abigail as Christian, and since it is the 1850s, when religion was more prevalent in day to day life, I think she'd wear a cross around her neck, maybe keep her rosary in a dress pocket too.

Formal wear is different however, ditching the darker colours for something lighter and with more flare

As for Adam, he would be less interested in fashion trends than his sister, putting comfortability above all else. Not only for himself, but for his work. Rigid clothes make it harder to get the best angle for a photo. Loose shirts and lack of coats make him a bit of an anomaly in town, appearing at first like a commoner who's gotten their hands on some fine clothes rather than an upper class man.

Adam is far less of a fan of formal attire, and when going to fancy gatherings and parties, he will show his own small form of rebellion. Necktie slightly loose, one or two undone waistcoat buttons undone, etc. He knows people will talk, but unlike his sister, he doesn't care what the public thinks.

I can imagine the ladies of the town fawning over this "bad boy" who has a button or two undone lol

there are no word strong enough to state how ANNOYING Christian USAmerican are to drag their amendments in biblical discourse

I am from France, the country that created the Human Rights, which are more much relevant on the global scene than any American amendment (amendments are only relevant in the USA). And while not immune to flaws, Human Rights helped to objectively improve the life of many people & country around the world (not just USAmericans).

USA amendments are only relevant on their own territory, which would their "morality" relative, which is a impossible in the eyes of God. His morals don't change depending on where his children live.

You NEVER see French Christians obsessively trying to shove human rights into Bible discourse and whether something that explicitly CONDEMNED in the Bible is actually a-okay because the "Human Rights" says so. French Christians are smart enough to understand that secular law ≠ moral law of YHWH.

So why is it soooo hard for Christian American to get through their thick skull that DESPITE YOUR ✨AMENDMENTS✨, you are NOT entitled to kill people - regardless of circumstances - because GOD said so.

By putting you secular laws beyond those of God, you are truly showing who's you real god : the world. And guess who's the master of this world? Satan.
