On this day in 2017, I took a break from working on my model of Tracy and Laura Hickman's Castle Ravenloft to do a detail pass on my model of Chris Perkin's Death House!

Strahd: You have worn out your welcome. Whatever gods you believe in cannot save you now.
Paultin: YOU DO NOT INTIMIDATE THE KING OF BATS. Also good to see you again, sir, you're looking good

[Mike has cast Jim's Magic Missle, a variant of the classic spell, which requires attack rolls.] . Jasmine: But, um… If the attack roll for a missle is a one, don't all of them miss and they blow up in your face? Mike: God dammit, Jasmine! Jasmine: It's one of my favorite spells! Anna: (to Mike) But don't you get to add the d4 for the Asmodeus blessing? Jerry: Yes. Chris: But it's still a natural 1 on the die. Anna: Aww. Jasmine: (to Mike) I'm sor–. It's just that I'm such a big fan of the spell, and that's one of its main mechanics. Chris: So, Jasmine, explain that to me? Read it aloud, please. Jerry: Jasmine, who serves the devil here, IRL? Right? Jasmine: (laugh-crying) I just really like rules! . Acquisitions Incorporated, the series — s.2, ep.3 "Not of This World" (youtu.be/2I6EaFv2GlA)

"Located in the heart of The Lady's Ward is a twisted, hollow structure known as the Screaming Tower." (Tony DiTerlizzi from "Umbra" by Chris Perkins, an AD&D Planescape adventure set in Sigil, Dungeon magazine 55, Sept/Oct 1995)

It was beautiful.
I don't know how I didn't give it away through my excitement, but it was so worth it.
The cast's accusatory delight as Chris Perkins joined the table when, "He was just going to watch! You told us!"
The Perkins-ification of the character that only Chris can pull off so smoothly.
The single rolled attack being a crit against Sam.
The speed-running tactics used to set the record he did as a guest PC.
I had to pause the podcast because Hubby & I were laughing too much, lol!
10/10 - Love Spurt.
Hubby is continuing his journey, listening through the hours of content that is the Critical Role backlog. Thank the gods for him being able to listen to it via PocketCasts and Beacon while commuting to and from work.
He's 🎶 making his way🎵 through Campaign 2 right now and I casually asked what the Nein is doing in the episode he's on and his answer was, "They're on the bottom of the ocean."
Yeah... I'm gonna need a little more detail than that, lol!

Paultin: I approach the bats, not getting too close, I hold out a hand and I say "Stop"
DM: When [you] do, the bats begin to thin out and disappear. You see them all flutter off deeper into the catacombs
Paultin: Holy shit that worked
