On this day in 2017, I took a break from working on my model of Tracy and Laura Hickman's Castle Ravenloft to do a detail pass on my model of Chris Perkin's Death House!

Paultin, to van Richten: I saw you crying. It was hilarious.
van Richten: It was the rain
Paultin: Yeah sure. Let's go with that
van Richten: This place is bringing back unpleasant memories
Paultin: Oh you wanna talk about unpleasant memories?

The true face of evil is hidden in the village of Delmunster. (Peter Clarke cover painting referencing Chris Perkins' Ravenloft AD&D 2e adventure "Horror's Harvest," directly inspired by Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Dungeon 38, November/December 1992) Maybe this was meant to be a deliberate visual joke, not just a botched layout.

[Mike has cast Jim's Magic Missle, a variant of the classic spell, which requires attack rolls.] . Jasmine: But, um… If the attack roll for a missle is a one, don't all of them miss and they blow up in your face? Mike: God dammit, Jasmine! Jasmine: It's one of my favorite spells! Anna: (to Mike) But don't you get to add the d4 for the Asmodeus blessing? Jerry: Yes. Chris: But it's still a natural 1 on the die. Anna: Aww. Jasmine: (to Mike) I'm sor–. It's just that I'm such a big fan of the spell, and that's one of its main mechanics. Chris: So, Jasmine, explain that to me? Read it aloud, please. Jerry: Jasmine, who serves the devil here, IRL? Right? Jasmine: (laugh-crying) I just really like rules! . Acquisitions Incorporated, the series — s.2, ep.3 "Not of This World" (youtu.be/2I6EaFv2GlA)

OK -- 2nd major edit here -- it's still not true for all of Tsojconth, but seems to hold up for most of the greater caverns, not the lesser caverns. You can find all of Tsojconth at Wayne's Books website.
Did Gary Gygax stock the monsters in Tsojconth in alphabetical order? I saw this yesterday after posting something from the 1982 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, so I checked the back, and it wasn't true for the published version -- but Perkins says "the original version" of "Tsojconth," despite the subtitles reverting to "Tsojcanth."
But the monster lists in Tsojconth aren't in room order, they are just summaries.
(Sorry I can't isolate this video from a xitter link; it must be part of a longer video somewhere.)
Here are the summary encounter lists from the original 1976 WinterCon V tournament module, The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth. Not really a spoiler for Tsojcanth since the module was changed significantly before publication:
