Fuck romcom type of love. I want a sitcom type of love. I wanna feel how Leslie feels with Ben. I wanna be in the type of love that Peraltiago is in. I want a man like Gregory Eddie. I wanna know what Janine feels when she is with him. I want to be a part of the sitcom love story.

I understand that many fans are upset about the TV movie. But honestly, I am really glad that we are getting*some* ending. Look I love open endings, but in this case, no one ended up happy. It wasn't an if-fate-wants-they-may-end-together type of situation. Nina and Maggie's relationship can be left to personal interpretation but not Azi and Crowley's.
All I am saying is we could have gone the OFMD/Dead Boy Detectives routes. I mean I still can't believe that we won't get to know if Niko is alive or not. I like the fact that we have a TV movie.
If it ends up being bad, then we can headcanon our own endings.

Some updates about the Good Omens situation- Source: Deadline:
1. Season 3 is no longer happening. The show is now going to end with a 90 minute episode, sort of like a made for TV movie.
2. Neil Gaiman is not a part of the series finale. His production company is no longer involved.
3. A new writer is expected to finish the finale, although as of yesterday, a deal has not been finalised.
4. Rob Wilkins, representing Terry Pratchett’s estate, as well as BBC Studios Productions’ head of comedy Josh Cole will executive produce.
Although the 90 min ep is a bummer, I am happy that they took the allegations seriously. His production company being out is also a good thing.
I know the show means a lot to many people, me included. But the good thing is that we are getting an end. There will be an end. I hope it is a satisfactory end.
I also pray that all the victims are okay.
I am here if anyone wants to talk.
EDIT:
Neil Gaiman will still be credited as a writer for the series finale. So, he will benefit from the premier as well as the views. So, piracy is the way to go.

From the perspective of River's timeline, by the time The Time of Angels (season 5 episode 4) comes by, River Song knew her mother was Amelia.
Melody Pond had to look at her mother and her husband in the eye only for them to look back at her with distrust and no recognition of who she was.
She had to comfort her mother, who did not know who she was, all while being scared herself. She had to make sure her husband gets away safely, while fighting for her own life.
Melody Pond did not have the privilege of having a "I need a mother" moment, because she had to be her friend.
Rewatching that episode after knowing River's story is just heartbreaking.
My dear Melody Pond, I hope in your next life you live your parents' daughter and not their companion.

My favorite things about Law and Order SVU
Finn is irritable because of people in general.
Cragen is done with everyone in the squad.
Caring Olivia.
Bitchy Elliot. The comebacks are oh so good.
And the last one, this one being my most favorite-Munch.

Law and Order SVU in a nutshell
The detectives: This person is a suspect.
*A few moments later:*
Detectives: This person is no longer a suspect.
*A few more moments later:*
Detectives: We found the actual criminal. This person did it. Here is all the proof you need.
ADA: Nope. Can't do anything. Against the law to use this evidence.

So I watched Die Hard for the first time (couldn't wait till Christmas) and that movie REALLY tested my patience. I felt John's frustration in my bones.
Hats off to Sergeant Powell. I fucking love him.

People in fandoms* associated with Neil Gaiman are not showing each other the grace they should be in a stressful time, and I would like to remind people of some things:
Not everybody knows about the allegations because it is not being reported widely in mainstream media. Gaiman has engaged a PR/crisis management firm that has done work with Marilyn Manson, Russell Brand, and Danny Masterson to actively squash coverage.
The story broke on a site unfamiliar to a lot of non-UK people. There was confusion as well as outright misinformation about whether the site was a TERF outlet (it is not). While Rachel Johnson, the lead reporter on the story, is a TERF who has publicly clashed with Gaiman about trans rights, she has behaved responsibly and ethically as a journalist regarding this. I wrote more in depth about these things here.
Everybody deals differently with finding out creators are problematic. The method you prefer is not the only correct way of coping. Some people are able to divorce art from the creator and some people are not. This is an attitude that can change over time. And if you feel like you need to express frustration that somebody else's method isn't the same as yours? I would recommend shutting your fucking trap.
If people know about the allegations, it's shitty to assume they're ignoring them or think they're false until somebody explicitly says so. There are many things people don't say online, and you are not owed disclaimers or explanations.
Fandom is more than the work itself. Some people find strength in the community that has formed around it, and rely on each other to help cope with and grieve this loss. The love you have for the work and your fellow fans is not something that belongs to the creator. It never has and that can't be taken away.
Your personal relationship with a creator's work will change over time. That's inevitable regardless of whether they turn out to be problematic or not. And when those works are deeply significant and formative, like many of Gaiman's works are to me** and countless others? That's fucking tough. Be kind to yourself and others when working through this. I love you all.
--
* I have seen this in Good Omens most prominently, although I am sure there are other places where it is happening as well.
** I have been a fan of Gaiman's work longer than some of you have been alive. It has not been a great month or so.

Usually, when we talk about the most heartbreaking part of Fleabag finale, we talk about this:
Tumblr media
It is incredibly heartbreaking. But we all knew it was coming. And so did Fleabag. Which is why, even with the massive heartbreak, she accepts his decision. She knew he loved God, and no one will come in between that. She knew they could never be together. She had known that from the start. She neither expected nor hoped to be in a relationship. She just wanted to let him know, that she loved him. She wanted to let him know that he was loved. By her. No conditions. No matter what. Which is what makes this scene so heartbreaking.
But I think the most heartbreaking part comes right after:
Tumblr media
These four words are enough to break her apart. Fleabag had spent most of her adult life thinking that she was unlovable. And then there comes this man, whom she loved, despite her heartbreak, telling her that he loves her back. Something she almost never hears. And this too is coming from a man, for whom admitting that he loved someone, like romantically loved someone, was a big deal.
And at this point, everything that they have been through, just becomes infinitely more profound. This is the moment, we, the audience and Fleabag, realize, that she was loved. By the man who finds her in moments where she loses herself. By someone who made her feel infinitely better about herself. By the man who made her see life in a brand-new way, who made her see herself with more love. The full realization hits, and that is what makes her (and me) breakdown. She isn't sad because it didn't happen. She mourns, because it did happen. She was loved.
(I don't know if any of this even makes sense)
BONUS:
Tumblr media
The Hot Priest will never know that she saw The Fox, and immediately knew it was for him. He will never know, that the woman he loved saw something that apparently only he could see, and KNEW it was for him.
