I feel like Sci-Fi is one of the best genres to have LGBTQ representation. Admittedly some of these might not be canon but they all definitely should be!

Do ever think about the Rogue One cast living? Do you think about how right now Leia could be dealing with a loud mouthed little pilot with jyn’s personality and cassian’s smile. Do you think about K2 interacting with bb-8. Maybe Bodhi getting to be a pseduo father to Finn seeing a bravery in Finn that makes his heart sing. DO YOU THINK ABOUT ONE OF THEM HAVING A CHILD NAMED AFTER BAZE/CHIRRUIT/GALEN/etc. because I sure as fuck do

iffff you are so inclined, for the character/song lyric drabble, jyn erso (or rebelcaptain), any lyrics from "take me away" by gabrielle aplin? i know you wrote some rogue one fic back in the day
send me a ship/char + a song lyric and i’ll write you a drabble
I was alone, I was taken with the tide, but I knew that I was home, when I looked into your eyes and said I'm done
Rogue One exists in one shining wisp of glory, before the survivors are given perfunctory disciplinary actions and medical clearances, and are summarily ushered back into their assigned units.
Except for Jyn, who does not have an assigned unit.
Until she wakes up, and discovers someone has corrected that for her, never mind a formal enlistment.
Jyn contemplates the rank and division that someone sorted her into while she spent three weeks unconscious in bacta. Jyn Erso. Sergeant. SpecForce Pathfinders. Almost an entirely new unit, a member of medical personnel tells her. Since most of them volunteered, and died on the beaches of Scarif. Jyn wonders if she has been claimed as one of their own, or claimed to do penance.
On her first day out of bed, she sees Bodhi off on a mission to oversee supply lines into Imperial controlled zones. Baze and Chirruit, she hears later, are sequestered with Luke Skywalker, the Rebellion’s own bona fide Jedi. And Cassian is... gone, back into the ether.
Back to his classified existence.
They don’t see each other for nearly a year, after Scarif.
Not that she sees the others - but on occasion, they can message. Bodhi most regularly, when his team hasn’t gone dark to hide from Imperial spacecraft. Baze is also reliable, when he isn’t too busy keeping Chirruit and Luke out of scrapes. Luke, who sometimes even sends a message to her, who is hungry for friends after a lifetime on a desert planet. She copies him on a message to Bodhi, who she thinks can relate. She even has friends, she thinks, amongst the soldiers she’s eating and sleeping and fighting with. Not many, because she doesn’t speak much, to anyone, but some. Some who even were even on Scarif. It’s the closest thing to real connection, since Saw abandoned her. The closest thing to family, since...
Well, since.
Every day, she waits for it to be taken away.
All her messages to Cassian are met with an auto-reply. Sometimes she lets herself believe that he set it for her, for who else would talk to a spy in wartime?
Jyn does a decent job of convincing herself she’s fine. And she manages, mostly, until the Pathfinders are assigned to securing the construction of Echo Base on Hoth. Any semblance of a sleep cycle and natural rhythms that military life had tried to beat into her - and with the Pathfinders and Commandos, there weren’t many, just more than she’d had in her life thus far - slip away into the pervading darkness that never seems to ebb during Hoth winter. The base, constructed out of the moon’s natural materials hovers between just below freezing and just above freezing. There are mornings she wakes up with her blankets frozen to her body, teeth chattering, fingertips purple in her gloves.
There are nights she looks at her datapad, at the messages in her inbox, but cannot see them. Her eyes blur, and she hides it away. She is essential Rebellion personnel, she tells herself, avoiding her reflection in the tiny mirror above the sink in her quarters.
She is essential.
Her tears turn to chalk on her skin.
She is so, so tired of darkness, and the nightmares that chase her in her sleep, and now in her waking hours too.
The day that Echo Base is deemed operational, there is the closest thing the rebels can scrounge up to resemble a party. Jyn steals a bottle of rotgut that tastes like it was brewed inside of a boot, and takes it back to her room with her. Curled up inside all of her hoarded blankets, she sips at it slowly, letting it burn the back of her throat.
If she was counting, she would know she hadn’t looked at her datapad in sixteen days. If she looked at her datapad, wedged in between the foot of her bed and her storage locker, she would know she had twenty-two unread messages.
If she looked at those messages, she would know that one was from Cassian.
---
Cassian returns from his year of punishment, assigned to Echo Base.
(His disciplinary action for the Scarif operation was, on paper, perfunctory. In reality, General Draven is a very creative man, with many punitive resources and very little oversight over his flank of the Rebel Army.)
Every nerve ending in his body is alight, every sense heightened, as he scans the hanger bay for Jyn. She’s not there, he’s able to deduce almost immediately, his stomach plunking down to his feet. If Jyn is not there, then where is she? He has read a year’s worth of missives about her fellow Pathfinders, about Kes Dameron and Han Solo and Melshi. About where they traveled, and their close calls and too many scrapes to count. She should be here, with her fellow soldiers, drinking and laughing.
He hoped she would be here, looking for his transport.
One of her Pathfinders takes pity on him, and it is not a feeling he would like to repeat. The man claps him on the back, and looks down at him with a sad grin. “Andor, right?”
---
It takes her a moment to recognize that the sound assailing her ears is, in fact, someone knocking at her door. A sigh rattling her whole body, she wonders if she continues to lie incredibly still in the dark, if she’ll be left alone.
The answer is no.
She wonders if she threw this bottle at the door and yelled, if whoever is knocking on the hatch will go away. Possibly yes, her internal monologue answers, but is the resulting gossip worth it?
No, not really.
Steeling herself, she practices what she’s going to say to whoever has come to try to cajole her into returning to the party. I have duty in six hours, and I haven’t been feeling well. I’m just tired, and my stomach isn’t feeling right. Don’t you know that getting drunk is a good way to not realize when you’re getting hypothermic? I don’t need to listen to Kes cry and show me the same five holos of his son right now.
The concept of speaking is detestable to her, her voice a hard ball in the back of her throat.
She rests her forehead against the cold hatch.
“Jyn?”
Her heart stops. stutters, and then kicks back to life. Thoughtlessly, she undoes the lock and throws open the hatch. Nothing has ever been so urgent as seeing Cassian’s face.
“You’re here,” she whispers like a collapsing star.
He looks her over, up and down, before lifting his eyes and his hand to her face. “Oh, sweetheart.”
For the first time in months, she feels warm.

Next chapter to come I hope you enjoy!! Visit on A03 to see!
*******************************************************************************************
Jyn gripped the lantern in her hand and pressed her back to the damp wall harder. She clenched her eyes shut and watched the colors dance on the inside of them like fireworks as she took another intentionally long breath.
She was going to be fine. It was only for a little more and she was going to be fine. People might not have liked her around base, but someone was coming for her. They had told her so. They promised. Right before her radio died, after the blaster shot had seard through her leg, but before she’d needed to limp to safety from the onslaught on invaders, they had told her that someone was going to come for her.
The storage closet was small. It usually held supplies, but before the troopers, it had been mostly cleared out, save for the lantern she was holding, a large but fur-lined black jacket, and a few rolls of stray bandages and gauze. Jyn had already put the jacket on and wrapped her leg, but she knew it wouldn’t do much. She’d lost a lot of blood. Her pants were stiff with it and if she pressed her finger, even lightly right below her kneecap, she felt a dull ache where the burn from the blaster shot was. She wouldn’t be able to make it through the base to a transport, like all the other evacuated rebels.
Anxious electricity and adrenaline coursed and jolted through her and caused her breath to hitch occasionally and she gripped the lantern tighter. She knew that the only thing that would ease her breathing was to let go of her necklace, leave the lantern where it was, take out the nightstick from her belt and beat the next trooper who came by to a pulp. It would have been so easy to throw the door open, jump up from the stiflingly small closet and limp as far as she could go, but that was a death wish and she had been told to stay put. Jyn never followed orders but she wasn’t stupid. They all had blasters and express orders to wipe out every last person on the base. She wouldn’t make it far.
Her lantern went out and desperately her eyes darted down to it. Her breathing caught again and this time she felt a few tears prickle in her eyes. She couldn’t be left here. Alone, abandoned, and in the dark, but this time by a rebellion she had chosen to trust, not by her mother who had left her to throw herself on a blaster. This was her fault. She was stupid. She was stupid to trust Cassian, she was stupid to have trusted Han and Luke and Leia and Bodhi and everyone else on this kriffing planet. No one was coming.
These last few weeks have been a blur of tinkling laughter and beautiful, glittering hyperspace as Bodhi taught her to fly, the smell of newly opened Sabacc cards and bitter Corillian Rum that burned, when she played cards with Han and the soft whisper of Cassian’s warm, Festin accent as they lay, limbs tangled together and hot sweat matting her hair. She thought of the way they would run patrols on base together, how she could see his breath in the cold when he spoke, warm and soft, and the way his eyes looked in the starlight. She thought of how he smelled like Alliance issue soap and smoking blasters and the way his hands felt when they pressed against her and she thought of how she tried a hundred times to tell herself it wasn’t intimate, it was just something she had to do to stay safe. It was like learning to fight better for Saw, never crying on Wobani, or make her voice crackle with fireworks when she spoke to her team on Scarif. She thought of telling herself that it didn’t need to mean anything that she didn’t want it to mean. She thought of how no matter how many times she told herself she didn’t feel anything, she did and no matter how much she felt something, she wished she didn’t.
She was scared. Not in the same way she was of the dark or bugs that she could still feel crawling on her from her time in the bunker, waiting for her father who would never come. She was scared in a way that sent her heart into palpitations and her stomach knotted tighter than she would clench her fists.
Cassian was there. He was real. He had come back for her on the data tower and he had followed her blindly to Scariff. He stuck his neck out for her after and gave her a home that she never thought someone like her deserved. He’d done everything right and without blinking an eye, but no matter how many whispered promises he made when they were tangled in scratchy wool blankets, she couldn’t bring herself to close her eyes and stay the night.
The lantern flickers again and she let out a desperate, animalistic moan and slammed her hand down on it, partly in anger and partly to try to keep it from going out. It flashed back on, the light dancing on the hard metal of the walls.
There was a time before this that felt so far away that she never would have stayed in the closet. She never would have desperately radioed in that she was hurt. She never would have fumbled the blaster for the sake of pushing Bodhi out of the way. She never would have told him she was right behind him and then took off the other way to throw off the troopers that had been chasing them.
A few more tears dripped out of her eyes and she wiped them away as fast as she could, but a few reached her lips and her nose and she could taste the salty tears mixed with the metallic taste of blood and Jyn knew that she didn’t have much time left. It was only going to be a few hours before she lost too much blood to recover from and she faded out of consciousness dizzily, or the door was bust in and another blaster shot to the temple roughly wrenched her into oblivion or the cold or the planet made her coughing and shaking cease, when she would close her eyes and be too tired to open them again.
The lantern she’d had in the bunker had been a fusion lantern. It had been metal and rusty and flickering. She had pretended it was a lightning bug, one that her father had caught for her. It gave off some heat, so she’d been able to grip her necklace, huddle in on herself, and keep some semblance of warmth, but this one was much more modern. It was hard, cold plastic and it didn’t flicker, it went out. Seconds creeped to minutes and she would it it, hard, but it always seemed to come back dimmer than it did before.
She clenched her fingers tighter around the lantern and a small sob escaped her lips. It shocked her. It shocked her that she made such a weak, desperate sound and she dropped the lantern to clamp her hands over her lips. Her eyes widened and she frantically slammed her hands around herself to try to find it.
“Kriff it, kriff it all to hell!” She hissed to herself. It happened slowly, not at all like it had before, but the air had stopped smelling like cold wind and had started to smell like waterlogged underground dirt. The cold wasn’t just the ice on the planet it started to feel like damp, rainy cold that Papa had told her was good for the crops. Her stomach tossed the same though and when the door slammed open and too sharp, too white light flooded in, Jyn couldn’t help but think that this wasn’t how it was supposed to go. She was supposed to be safe. Saw or Papa was supposed to come for her, but instead there were three Stormtroopers, clad in the same armor they wore that day. Jyn looked down at her leg. It had stopped bleeding but there was still a dull ache and she knew she couldn’t run. Her fingers, still by her side from looking for the lantern, danced on the handle of her baton. She could get it out, flick it open, and then swing it hard. She could take out the first one. If she knocked him out she could get his blaster, shoot at the second and third. There were four, but if she took out three, she might be able to get a headstart and make her way to the transport. It was only about a half a mile to the airhanger and then she could-
“Up! Get up! Put your hands in the air!” Jyn closed her eyes and then snapped them open. It was better than the dark. It was better than the dying flicker of her lantern and the memories of damp dirt or the thought that she was scared, because she was trained for this. She was trained to withstand torture and to fight and to be on the front lines without a care for anything but herself. Jyn threw her hands in the air.
“I can’t get up!” She called out. “I can’t move, I was shot.” The first stormtrooper leaned down and wrenched her to her feet. Weight on her injury caused her legs to buckle and she crumpled to the ground like a small white and black doll with wooden limbs connected by coarse string. Her head slammed against the cold metal ground and she closed her eyes.
She didn’t think she’d be scared before she died, but it didn’t surprise her. Too many things scared her since Scariff. Since Hoth. Since Cassian. She wondered if a blaster shot to the heart would hurt. She wondered if it hurt her Mama. Her eyes tightened and she thought of hyperspace, Corillian Whiskey, and warm Festian. She wished that she could have asked Bodhi what her father’s smile looked like one last time. She wished that she could have told Han that everyone could see Leia was perfect, but him. She wished she could have learned to keep herself calm like Chirruit and quiet like Baze and more than anything she wanted to hear Cassian’s voice. It was funny, she thought, that right now, as her consciousness was drifting in and out of a hazy fog, where she could simply hear retreating footsteps and blaster fire, that she didn’t want to feel Cassian. She didn’t want to feel his lips pressed hard, but gentle against her neck and she didn’t want to feel his fingers, warm and soft on her body, all she wanted to do was hear his voice. The revelation caught her off guard and she let out another small sob.
“I’ve never heard her cry like that.” The voice was deep and low.
“She’s lost a lot of blood.” The voice started to speed up, talking rapidly and Jyn could feel hands on her face. “A lot of blood. No está nada bien. I think it’s just the blaster wound, but I can’t tell. I don’t want to take the jacket off, she’s cold.” Had she been shot? She couldn’t remember.
“Captain, there’s three more coming.”
“Then take care of them, Baze! Rápido, por favor! She’s- I can’t just lift her, she’ll panic and she’ll hurt herself.” Jyn gasped out a breath. She didn’t know of any other rebels who spoke Festian and she forced her eyes open. Everything was foggy and hazy and she coughed to get the smell of blaster fire out of her lungs. The second she opened her eyes, hands were on her face, brushing her hair away from her eyes and rubbing soot and ash off her face. Why was there ash? There was no fire. Hoth was made of ice. Ice was cold, not hot like fire or the throbbing dull pain in her leg. “Jyn, Jyn, listen to me. We’re here for you, but we have to go. Now. We’re surrounded. Bodhi has a ship waiting, we wouldn’t leave without you, but we have to go now. Can you hear me?”
“Saw?” She whispered softly because that was what was supposed to happen. Saw came for her in the bunker, when her Mama and Papa couldn’t. She remembered that much, even like this. There was a frustrated huff and the hand in her hair again.
“Jyn, it’s Cassian. Listen to me, I know you’re hurt but we need to go. We need to go now.” His voice was low and urgent and her head lolled to the side in his grip. He swore. “Jyn, come on, look at me!” His voice was getting higher pitched and his accent was thicker than she had ever heard it, but Jyn’s eyes darted to the side where her lantern lay on the ground, plastic casing cracked and the light was out. She blinked. Everything was dark. She could barely see the figure leaning over her and she could barely hear the frantic pleas. She took a gasping breath and closed her eyes. Darkness that she could control was better than darkness she couldn’t.

Blogger’s Note: I’ll apologize ahead of time for the fact that while I’ve seen this movie a few times, it’s not old enough to have gained my refined eye… With the other movies, I’ve fit them into my Episode narrative and every time I watch them, it’s with more attention on a different aspect. Rogue One is not even a year old yet- so I’m not as familiar but here goes! To borrow a phrase from my favorite show on TV now, “Let’s Rock!”
What They Did Right: This is the first anthology film. This has never been done before in Star Wars. If this movie sucked then it’s unlikely more anthology movies would follow. I think it’s pretty well done, especially the end half. It’s nostalgic and exciting, and heart wrenching at the same time. I think it’s funny that there’s a meme out there that said, “Pictures released from Rogue One’s sequel” with pictures from A New Hope. There are many layers to the hilarity because A New Hope was the FIRST Star Wars film, and this comes directly before it. Another thing is that people were like, “Don’t spoil the ending.” And I’m like, “If you’ve seen A New Hope, you already know how it ends. Were you shocked when you watched TITANIC and the ship sank?” now, granted- you wouldn’t know what became of the characters, but that’s its own thing. Moving on…
They introduce you to the heroic team that got the Death Star plans to Princess Leia. You see all they went through to get the plans, and what people went through in the Rebellion- how there was hesitation and disagreement between the members of the Council. (I also think it’s interesting that they call it the Council which has a Jedi-like feel).
Baze and Chirrut! I loved them.
K-2SO was like a talking version of R2-D2 mixed with Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory with Han Solo’s snarky-ness.
While we know we’re watching something that takes place A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away; this movie had a real-world depiction of war so you get why it’s important to destroy the Death Star and the Empire a little more than just by watching the Episodes.
Seeing Bail Organa and Mon Mothma in this movie- just before Bail Organa goes home only to be blown up when the Death Star is used… It has a twinge of irony…
While it’s not the typical Star Wars film- it’s not an episode of the Skywalker Family Drama; it still feels like it belongs in the same universe.
Even though I have to say I didn’t care for the music as much in this one- I still liked it a lot. I liked the nods to the Force theme or the Imperial March that were put in there in the right scenes.
Seeing Darth Vader. He is just awesome and it gives me chills seeing him.
That scene where the Rebels on board the ship are desperately passing the hard-drive/ disk from person to person to get it to Princess Leia on the Tantive 4. Vader is just chopping them down- and it shows him as this angry person driven by hatred and purpose. Once Jyn started to change her opinion towards the Rebels, I was with her. We got to see Vader’s awesome lava planet castle. Even though it didn’t have subtitles for this one planet- we know it to be Mustafar which I’ve talked about in several of my theory posts. We see him chilling in a bacta tank- and even though its hard to see, we get a shot of his scarred head sort of like in The Empire Strikes Back when he’s in his meditation chamber. We see him Force Choke Krennic for a while until Krennic falls on the floor. We can see that he’s still feeling the effects of it later on. It’s good that they used Vader sparingly since Anakin/Vader has been in every movie either in body or in spirit (I’m talking about Kylo Ren having Vader’s helmet and the lightsaber Rey brings to Luke was Anakin’s lightsaber which Obi-Wan gave to Luke which Luke lost when Vader cut off his arm in Empire.) He’s so iconic that having him in it seemed natural. That whole last half of the film gave me chills and I remember that I watched it with my friends, Hannah and David- I was totally geeking out in my chair, hands impulsively clapping excitedly on my leg, and we’d share looks of delight. The ending was so sad, and tragic- but sort of joyous in a way. It definitely made me appreciate A New Hope a little more- that’s for sure. We see Tarkin. I don’t know why but recognizing his foul stench made me happy… When I read the novel and the novel that’s meant as a prequel to the movie Catalyst, it helped the movie make a little more sense and I was actually more invested in the characters. I thought it was funny that the team and the movie are named Rogue One- and in Empire, we see a pilot rescue Han and Luke- his call sign, he says- is Rogue Two… (that was a second-time- watching revelation). There was something fresh about this film, and it was very interesting to watch. — What They Did Wrong A lot of these are probably ones you’ve heard before, but I happen to agree with the complaints or comments that others have made regarding this film. The first act is a little slow. While I think the scene on Eadu provides Jyn much needed emotional closure, it is sort of anticlimactic from a dramatic point of view. Jyn is a passive protagonist until the last part of the movie, and sometimes her reactions aren’t those of what would happen logically in that circumstance. We’re sort of dropped into her life as an adult after seeing her as a kid. She’s in prison and we don’t exactly find out why until later. She is really angry with The Rebels but we can tell she doesn’t agree with the Empire either. We however don’t really know what she DOES believe in. We’re never told or shown. A lot of the end is really depressing. (But I expected that honestly) Bor Gullet and the whole thing surrounding him. Bodhi defects and brings the message- Saw doesn’t believe him and then after exposing him to Bor Gullet, he still doesn’t believe Bodhi- so all we really know is that Saw Gerrara doesn’t trust people… not that I blame him…
Krennic’s callousness towards Galen and his family. I know he’s an Imperial officer, but Galen was one of his friends back in the day and Krennic used him, and took credit for a lot of the things Galen did… then he has Galen’s wife, Lyra shot… I don’t know- something about that bothered me for more than one reason. The whole trip to Jedha seemed a little pointless or anticlimactic and it feels like they botched the mission. First, they got captured by the Imperials and then by Saw’s people. When the actual message is lost and Jyn tells the team what it said, Cassian doesn’t believe her. The whole mission to kill Galen Erso seemed a little (for lack of a better word), mean. Sure, he helped develop the Death Star and its weapon, but he didn’t commission it, and he didn’t use it on anyone… and killing him seems a little harsh… I know Cassian didn’t end up killing him, but still- he died, and it seemed extremely unfeeling and callous to kill Jyn’s father with her in their group. And then it’s like he’s mad at her for being upset with him… Everyone is so against Jyn when she gives them the fatal flaw in the Death Star’s design. They don’t believe her and they chicken out… funny enough- it DOES sort of line up to many characters’ arcs-especially in Star Wars- so I guess I can live with it, and I get why they’d be skeptical. Most of the time, the hero ignores or pushes away their call to action. When Obi-Wan tried to get Luke to go with him in Episode 4, Luke initially refused and then changed his mind when his aunt and uncle died at the hands of the Empire. Rey wouldn’t take the lightsaber when Maz offered it to her… Over all, I think it’s main flaw is just that it’s long and the first half is long and almost uneventful when you consider the last half of the movie is jam-packed with action, adventure, emotion, and resolution to the main plot. All this being said, I appreciate Episode 4 more now, and I am excited for this new set of anthology films coming out. I think we will learn so much more about our favorite saga!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Blogger’s Note: I’ll apologize ahead of time for the fact that while I’ve seen this movie a few times, it’s not old enough to have gained my refined eye… With the other movies, I’ve fit them into my Episode narrative and every time I watch them, it’s with more attention on a different aspect.

10 Things we could see in Star Wars the Clone Wars #saved.
(But don’t get your hopes up, I am literally just thinking out loud because the timeline means everyone is still alive for this part of the canon!)
1. Caleb Dume and Depa Billaba cameo.
2. Clan Wren or an infant Sabine.
3. Order 66.
4. Characters from Rogue one (maybe Chirruit and Baze reaction to hearing about Order 66?) (Maybe Cassian who was presumably 6 years old being dragged into the war like he said?)
5. TCW Cham Syndulla (don’t lie, we all missed his younger design… and maybe a TCW little Hera and her mom reacting to the end of the Seperatists War?)
6. Saw Guerra and maybe the Erso’s.
7. Clones’ reactions to the aftermath of Order 66, especially the ones we’ve already met like Bly, Wolffe, and Cody.
8. How Maul got to Malachor or more likely how he became part of Crimson Dawn and survived Palpatine.
9. Solo movie references?
10. Thrawn returns to face off against evil one more time with Anakin at the Thrugii Asteroid Belt.
Feel free to add more things, even if they are just in your wildest dreams!

Cassian’s Bed
Prompt: ‘One bed’ for @rebelcaptainprompts
Word count: 492
Cassian finally managed to make his way back to his quarters on Hoth after returning from a grueling mission and a somehow even more grueling debrief…
...only to groan at the site of his bed. It was covered in… things. He wasn’t even sure WHAT things. He didn’t care, he just wanted to sleep.
He let Jyn use his room when he was gone. He ranked higher than her, and didn’t mind if she used the space he left behind. She had to share a room, he did not.
He hadn’t seen her since he’d been been back. He wouldn’t even admit to himself that he was disappointed she hadn’t come say hi, but then, she was always helping Bodhi with his ship or some new self-defense technique, or Baze locate a new weapon to try, or show Chirruit around a new part of the base. She was undoubtable busy.
He didn’t mind, she did what she needed to do, he’d just like to sleep.
Cassian sighed, and got to work removing her things.
*
In the middle of helping Bodhi rewire a controller to make it more sensitive, Jyn had a sudden realization. Cassian was back, and Jyn had completely forgotten about leaving all that stuff on his bed.
Entering his room, she found him fast asleep. He was so out of it, she didn’t even wake him. She noticed all her stuff on the floor next to him. He had simply slipped the top covering off, collecting all her things, and transferred them to the floor with minimal disruption.
Unfortunately, the top cover was also the warmest, and on Hoth that was no small thing. He had gathered what articles of clothing he had on top of him, and was curled up under the heap.
Jyn stood there, silently fuming at him, her hands in fists. He could’ve just dumped her crap on the ground, and used the blanket like a normal person. But, no, he put her first, even the random things she had gathered on his bed and had forgotten to remove before he got there.
His act that he didn’t have needs was so thoroughly convincing sometimes that Jyn forgot it was an act. She felt Cassian had been doing it so long that he didn’t even know it was an act anymore. But Jyn recognized it, because she had done it for herself ever since Saw had abandoned her.
Cassian had shattered that illusion. By coming back to get her again and again, he had reminded her that she did, in fact, have needs, and even more, they mattered.
She went to go get the blanket from her own bed. Cassian didn’t move, when she laid it over him. At least he would be warmer.
She thought he would say something about the stuff. Or the blanket. But she just found it newly washed on her bed, with her stuff on it. He never said a word.

Asking for my fave couple: Salcroft, but also Chirruit/Baze would be great 2, 7, 11, 17
2. Who sleeps in the other’s lap?
Salcroft: You'd think it was Sally, but it's Mycroft. It's another trait Mycroft and Sherlock share. Sally and Molly often text each other while their boys are out cold and snoring, telling one another about work.
Chirrut/Baze: Chirrut curls up against Baze, with Baze sleeping with his cheek tucked against the top of Chirutt's head.
7. Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?
Salcroft: Sally nicks Mycroft's dressing gowns, because they're massively comfortable, and has (once or twice) worn one of Mycroft's shirts into work. Sherlock was about to deduce this when he got a text from Mycroft: Not a word, or Mummy finds out about you and Miss Hooper's recent... happy news.
Chirrut/Baze: Not so much when they're older, but when they were younger, their training robes were pretty much interchangeable between the two of them, with Baze even sacrificing his own top for Chirrut; which Chirrut, of course, noticed.
11. If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips?
Salcroft: Mycroft is the one strolling behind, but he's eating a burrito.
Chirrut/Baze: It's pretty much canon that Chirutt backflips, and Baze strolls on behind, eating crisps and holding his massive Fuck Off gun.
17. Who keeps getting threatened by the other’s overprotective older sibling?
Salcroft: Mycroft regularly gets the warning side eye from Sally's older sister, but he prefers that over Sally meeting his younger sister. (Sally knows of Eurus, but both of them have agreed it's not necessary for her to meet her.)
Chirrut/Baze: It's not necessarily the overprotective older siblings, but Baze was consistently warned against being too rough with Chirrut in training. When Baze told Chirrut this, he rolled his eyes.

Sometimes Im so happy that I have characters with canon aspects of the Star Wars Universe that occured before either a) the thing in question became a canon thing, or that b) I hadnt seen said canon thing yet. Jac is a blind human, but sees through the force (like Chirruit) and is force empathetic, quick to make bonds, especially with animals (like Ezra) Zhaire, in building her newest lightsaber on Odessen, was no longer aligned with one side of the force and the crystal she placed in her saber bleached to white (like Ahsoka)
