Refrence model for the manor on the sea
(That’s Shen’s house)
I make 3D models out of clipboard, scrap cardboard and clay sometimes for myself. Really helpful when you need to draw the same object or location multiple times from different angles.
But yeah this is Shen’s house on the foundry island, this is where he’s been hiding out for the last couple years. It’s a little strangely built and decrepit (just like him) but it’s still a very nice place given the circumstances

Yu Yi Tang House, pt. 2 June 23, 2024 Peabody Essex Museum Salem, Massachusetts
This is a late 18th-century, 16-bedroom Chinese house that was painstakingly disassembled and moved to Salem, then reassembled for the Peabody Essex Museum. It served as the home to eight generations of the Huang family, whose ancestor was a prosperous merchant and built the house, calling it Yin Yu Tang (Hall of Plentiful Shelter).

My top 5 Prussian palaces & Residences are mainly in Potsdam, 40 minutes from Berlin, Germany. 1. Chinese House: located in Potsdam in the Sanssouci Park. A small garden pavilion created in 1756 for smaller court gatherings. Reopened after 2 years of renovation, it is shaped in a form of a cloverleaf: a circular hall and there are small Chambers. Ticket price: 6€ or a daily combined ticket for all the palaces in Potsdam ( 22euros) 2. New Chambers: located in Potsdam in the Sanssouci Park. Impressive palace with two different moods: - the western Wing is made of four reception halls ( jasper hall, Ovid Gallery, Porcelain Hall and blue one) which are amazing. A really must-see while in Sanssouci. -the eastern wing is composed of guest rooms (bedrooms and living rooms). Ticket price: 6€ or a daily combined ticket for all the palaces in Potsdam ( 22euros) 3. Charlottenburg Palace located in Berlin is composed of 2 palaces. The new wing with its long enfilade of 13 rooms ends with a huge Porcelain Room and a Chapel. The new wing has magnificent interiors like the Golden Gallery. A really worth-visit while in Berlin. Ticket price: 12€ each or 19€ the combined ticket. 4. Picture Gallery located in Potsdam, in the Sanssouci Park. If the facade is relatively simple design, the interiors are adorned with white and yellow Italian marble, opulent gilding and sculptures. The paintings were mostly acquired for this building. This is the oldest Royal Museum still in use in Germany. Ticket price: 6€ or a daily combined ticket for all the palaces in Potsdam ( 22euros) 5. Rheinsberg Palace, in the mark Brandenburg When entering the palace you feel like being in a different world. I loved the rooms in neoclassic and Frederician rococo styles. It was the house of Prince Henry, Frederic the Great’s brother. Ticket price: 10€

Originally built in 1518 during the Ming dynasty. It’s now a restaurant that serves traditional Shanxi cuisine.

Chickens likely domesticated themselves the same way wolves did which is basically by hanging around our settlements and eating our refuse.
Living with chickens in this sort of way was likely happening way before the estimated times of 8,000- 10,000 years ago. The relationship was likely already long established it was just during that time some chickens started developing smaller/weaker adrenal glands which caused them to become much easier to raise and handle which eventually lead to the domesticated chicken we know of today (and how that happened so suddenly is a completely different but very interesting topic)
Also due to this you could argue that there isn't any true wild red jungle fowl left untouched and uninfluenced by humans anymore. Not only due to constant cross breeding with domestic chickens but because red jungle fowl are still doing what their ancestors did in their current range, if there is a town or village nearby the bravest junglefowl will still choose to intermingle with the village and eat the refuse, agricultural byproducts, and waste. People will still catch and care for these "wild" birds like their ancestors did. This isn't to say we shouldn't try our best to preserve the wild red jungle fowls wild genetics, their should be populations left to be in their natural environment but it's likely they are not truly same wild birds they once were thousands of years ago and honestly that's OK because thats how its been for thousands of years.

12 Days of Jalim | Day 11: Mistletoe
Looks like someone got caught under the mistletoe at the Kings’ annual christmas party 🎄
At least their friends are being super normal about it and minding their business and not making it weird at all or anything right?

Artful, graceful... and a pun. Colette and Rene Flipo's subway poster says, 'Please don't spit on the platform.' However, since 'spit' and 'camellia' are the same word in Japanese, tsubaki, the word isn't written and the flower says it all. The fresh-faced Fo Dog says 'ditto.' These lion dogs, shishi, originated with the Chinese who wanted to duplicate the stone lions that stood guard outside Buddhist temples in India.
