Children of the Wyrm

The final chapter of Vol 1. Our season one finale and, at least for now, our last episode.

Kit and Elora have made it to Airk but find him under the influence of the crone. The crone tries to turn Kit as well but Madmartigan ( voiced by Jack Kilmer) reminds her of the truth. Elora is nearly lost but Willow arrives in time to save her.

Kit, Jade and Boorman face off against the Gales while Graydon tries to take on the crone. Unfortunately he isn't quite powerful enough and Graydon is lost.

Elora unlocks her full power and is able to defeat the crone but not before she passes her power to Airk in the most disturbing kiss ever.

Boorman has given the cuirass to Kit and the lux to Jade while he faces the Gales alone. With the cuirass activated Kit takes her place as Elora's champion and fights her possessed brother. She is able to overpower him and with Willow's help, bring him back to the light.

With the Crone and the Gales defeated, our heroes mourn Graydon's sacrifice and begin the journey home to prepare for the war to come.

In the final scene we see that Graydon isn't, but he is the realm of the Wyrm. Disguised as Elora, the Wyrm offers Graydon a place at her side.

It's an action filled episode with a bitter sweet ending. There are, as always, several moments that are hilarious but drama drives this episode. There are more questions than answers and was clearly never meant to be the end of the story.

This speech Willow gives Elora is my favorite of the series and Warwick Davis performed it beautifully. I've come back to these words many times this year when things have been bad for me. They've helped me keep going when I felt like giving up. I hope that soon this series will return and it can give more people the kind of hope and joy it has given me when they need it.

Ice is an unspecified eldritch being. He has an uncanny valley effect on humans that unnerves the majority of the team who in turn can't understand how Libber, Garmadon, and Wu don't feel unsettled by him. Eventually, the teams warms up to him, and though no one becomes as close to him as Libber is, everyone knows they can come to him if they want to hex their ex or get a demon exorcised (sometimes these are one and the same).

Libber is a raijū and though this isn't common knowledge when she joins the elemental masters, news quickly spreads; she isn't great at keeping secrets. She DOES bite and Maya learnt this the hard way.

Spoilers for the #Willow season 1 Finale!

The Crone's army in the Immemorial City may are NOT vermiscous-powered undead!

The Crone mentions the "great awakening" but despite their jerky movements these are no zombies.

It's best seen when Willow blasts them and it takes several spells just to kill two... A reptilian head and a reptilian tail!

Same goes for the Legion of the Wyrm we see at the end of the episode! Every head is long and snakey/wormy.

Also, I think they killed a giant!

Wip of a Sketchbook page that's au related I'm working on. Might go into some of the darker horror things further down... (Trust me, it gets worse and maybe bad ending related. Yes, this au may have multiple endings now)

I enjoy the unsteady vertigo feeling it's giving so far, like a boat rocking back and forth violently in a storm.

I love pen and ink... probably the medium I am most comfortable with and so good for horror vibes.

My favourite interpretation dynamic is PK being cold and more of an observer of a plan, glimpses of sincerity are shadowed by the "benevolent detachment". But what he does is not evil

And WL being more attached but still regards the plan as priority for sake of everyone, in a way where she thinks its evil but doesn't mind because Wyrm is confident in the future. Her guilt and abstinence only came when it was clear his foresight was wrong/overly optimistic.

And that they love eachother <3 in their own strange calculated union. If I were to draw them I think I would give them a weird pristine family vibe,,

I blame my online friend group for spurring on the desire to make the "Dream jumping from high places to practice flying" idea, but angstier. I was challenged. Don't challenge me.
