do you think botw/totk link already had 3 holes in each ear before equipping the frostbite/ember/charged headdresses or did link shove those earrings directly into his ear every time he equips them. They also certainly didn’t have time to heal so each time the headdress are equipped, link stabs themselves with the earrings.

A former carbon offsetting executive has been charged with fraud by US federal authorities, who allege that he helped to manipulate data from projects in rural Africa and Asia to fraudulently obtain carbon credits worth tens of millions of dollars. Kenneth Newcombe, former CEO of C-Quest Capital LLC and a leading figure in the offsetting industry, was indicted on Wednesday in New York with commodities and wire fraud. Prosecutors alleged he was part of a multi-year scheme that manipulated information on the impact of cooking stove projects in Africa and south-east Asia to make them appear far more successful at reducing emissions than they were in reality, also using the figures to attract investment of more than $100m in C-Quest. From 2007 to December 2023, the 77-year-old was a board member of Verra, the world’s leading certifier of carbon offsets, and he also worked at the World Bank and Goldman Sachs at different times. He faces up to 20 years in prison if he is convicted of the most serious charges. He denies all allegations against him. A spokesperson for Newcombe told Bloomberg that their client was dying of cancer. “He is confident that if he lives to see a jury hear this case, that jury will reject these false charges and return his good name to him,” the spokesperson said. Cooking stove projects are one of the most popular carbon offsetting schemes, theoretically generating emissions reductions by swapping smoky fuels such as wood, paraffin or kerosene with cleaner alternatives. By changing fuels, they can have major benefits: improving air quality, reducing the amount of time people spend collecting wood and slowing the loss of the world’s forests. But studies have raised widespread concerns about their claimed environmental impact, finding that schemes are overstating their effect by an average of 1,000%. Shell and BP have both invested in C-Quest and are among several leading firms that have bought carbon credits from the firm.

Most, if not all, carbon offset schemes don't work anyway and are probably run by cunts like Mr Newcombe here.

These noise canceling headphones were such a great purchase, they’re awesome, there’s 50 hours of listening time, charge in 15 minutes, and really cancel most of the noise. I love them. And they’re blue! And were only $50.

Commentary
So this is a piece I made six or seven times. Charged really only means on thing so I struggled to come up with any idea that compelled me in my limited time. This was the only one on my list I didn't have much in the way of an idea and I think it shows. The body in the waves looks good though and that was an accident.

The Roofer (2011) picture and portfolio
Tumblr media
The Roofer, real name Ethan Thomas Maverick, was an average American construction worker until one fateful day in 1986 when an experimental US Government AI piloted drone reached the lower atmosphere.
The sudden rise in height was too much for aircraft, and it hurled towards the earth. Ethan was driving the cement truck to work down a crowded coastal street, when he had a choice to make.
Keep going straight on, get hit by the aircraft, smash through the gates overlooking the river and sink down. Turn left, smash straight into the local collection of markets but avoid getting hit by the aircraft. Or go right, and let the aircraft hit the traffic behind him.
Ethan decided there was no choice, he simply drove forward. The aircraft had launched itself straight through his stomach and into the cement by the time the trucks front had hit the water.
That's when something spectacular happened. A bright explosion of green and blue flew out of the water once the vehicle was submerged. Once it died down and onlookers gathered around to see what had occurred, Ethan was able to climb up the wall at miraculous speeds, uninjured physically.
As Ethan stared at his hands, he realised that he was just given superpowers. He could stick to any surface he wanted, would age much slower than a regular man, and had a healing factor.
There were weaknesses however. Ethan noticed slower reaction times in terms of hearing, and though he was physically uninjured, there was still a high amount of mental injury sustained. Did he really make that decision because it was the right thing to do, or because he wanted to die?
Ethan now roams the globe, helping those who need it and doing deep spiritual searching. He calls himself The Roofer.
Hope you enjoyed reading this! I had a great time writing it. Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated!
