having read several 30k books about the falls of various chaos legions, Fulgrim is SO funny because it's like:

Horus: externally has SEEMINGLY logical, well-reasoned justifications for engaging in rebellion. Post Isstvan, he is approximately the same guy as before and externally reasonable, even if he is cold, cruel, and calculating

Angron: literally exactly the same before and after rebelling, the man has a chip in his brain that makes him love murder so loyalist!Ronnie and rebel!Ronnie read basically identically. the rebellion doesn't change him that much at first in terms of the level or intensity of his murderhoboing

Magnus: the fall of the Thousand Sons is like a Shakespearean tragedy level of pride and misunderstanding, but Magnus going to Horus makes perfect sense especially considering he is literally like 20 ghosts in a trenchcoat, and he's clearly still ~trying~ to do his own fucked up version of the right thing after getting Bane'd by Russ

Fulgrim: picks up a sword and INSTANTLY becomes the most vindictive mentally unstable honors kid you've ever met. Polite art loving loyalist to BATSHIT Dorian Grey in 100 pages. Decides who will die on Isstvan III not based on their loyalties, but on who has dealt him narcissitic injuries (based on what a talking demon sword is telling him). Engages in heated debates with a portrait of himself painted in the blood and viscera of a murdered man. Stabs his captain in his quarters and gets kind of turned on about it approximately. 5 seconds after deciding to turn on the emperor. This man was a corked bottle of pure chaos just waiting for a screw and it is amazing.

Mortarion in my favorite primarch, just because of his personality, he is such a petty little bitch filled by spite. I love him so much, but then the writers make him inconsistent and a massive fuck up

(psst i definitely don’t have a good amount of PDFs downloaded especially within the HH series (i agree with OP, my personal favs just happen to be the Primarchs) and therefore cannot share because i didn’t do that, however if i did i could totally not share the files with anyone who would like to read them)

I think we as a community need to stop gatekeeping Warhammer based on wether or not you've read the Horus Heresy. I've seen a few reviews from people who don't really like the Primarchs or the Primarch-centered novels, and homie that's a whole lotta books about shit you don't like.

Anywho, theres almost a merit badge you have to get before people take your knowledge of the lore seriously, and I think we need to let that go. Warhammer is meant to be fun, and I don't think people are obligated to read 150+ books, short stories, audiodramas and novellas to be considered a "Real Fan." That's hundreds of hours of 90% space marines and Primarchs, and if you don't like either of those, you're gonna have a bad time.

I don't care if you've only read the Infinite and the Divine or if you checked out a few AdRic episodes about xenos you like, you're a real fan of Warhammer the minute you walk in the door. It's the hobby of all hobbies and there's something here for everyone.

as the resident Hot Mortarion Truther, i have a sort of headcanon that his hair went from black (confirmed in The Buried Dagger) to thinner and white as the Nurgle shit progressed. At first it's thought the change is a direct result of Nurgle's effects but it's actually from the pure levels of stress he was going through. absolutely nothing to do with Chaos's physical mutations

While I'm thinking about it more space marine(chaos or not) should be fat.

I know that space marines are engineerd to not get fat but hear me out. Not only do space wolfs have feasts, but the blood angels use art to combat the red thirst i.e that chocolateter guy who goes viral every now and then. But it could also be a reason that a space marine fell to chaos after centuries of eating the same Nutrient paste I know that at least one space marine had a meat ball or something and was like "danm food is so good when its not just paste" and if slaanesh shows up promising more food that taste and feels good and more,I know I'd take it. But it would also give more protection for their internal organs and also I think space marines that looked like this but much bigger would be so hot
