Hey guys,

'Tis the season for gift giving and I might just have my best suggestion yet! Some people love gift giving perfumes for christmas but we all know they can be expensive. Me for example I love CHANEL fragrances but I don't buy the traditional perfume bottles because they are really expensive. Instead I buy the CHANEL fragrance mists which smell the exact same but around £30.00 cheaper because it's a mist bottle. Crazy isn't it!

I always get these for Christmas presents for my friends and personally I love the Chance Eau Fraîche Sheer Moisture Mist , £33.00 now in perfume bottle form this fragrance would be £70+ easily. I adore this scent because it's a fresh floral scent which includes freshness of Citron, the softness of Jasmine and the vibrant presence of Teak Wood.

I literally take this mist everywhere in my handbag and it's the perfect product to freshen up during the day. CHANEL has several mists in the collection which I have shown on this blog before and would also make great gift ideas. Since it's Christmas CHANEL also has the prettiest gift wrap box they can put your shopping in for free! I purchased this bottle at the CHANEL counter at John Lewis but I think it's available at all counters. These mists usually sell out really fast so I've linked it above.

There's been a lot of climate related events in the world - Morocco earthquake, Greece/China flooding, heatwaves in the Western Hemisphere in September - I really can't imagine that people will continue to ignore it when it happens every summer now. I do think we need to adapt quickly - in natural ways (modifying houses and buildings for air, doing less, finding ways to cool our bodies etc) and younger people will be speaking up about it (even during the US Open women single semi final!) or finding orgs that align with sustainable lifestyles. This might be jarring for a while but honestly....we need to get everyone on board and find ways to make sustainability sexy and engage with the masses.

Also related: If people are avoiding outdoors, what healthy activities can they do indoors? (That isn't doom scrolling.)

For NYFW, Chanel created "Lucky Chance Diner", a food popup to celebrate the launch of CHANCE EAU FRAÎCHE, their new Eau de Parfum. This diner also serves ice cream and lasts from the 8-10th September.

Interesting product of the week:

Made me think about how many people may just travel to meet their friends, or travel with friends and this becomes a convenient travel companion. This is also related to the flux and movement of people within the city. It's a screen that's easy to pack away in case of (unstable) housing which many young people in the UK live in due to lack of rent controls. Bit of a conceptual reach but definitely designed for easy packing.

With the festive season approaching I wanted to do some blog posts showing you some gift ideas for people on a budget. If you didn't know my actual name is Chanell (though my nickname at home is Bella) and I obviously get asked all the time if I use CHANEL products and honestly I have only really ever used their fragrances.

Most people will spend lots of money on Chanel perfumes and if you collect perfumes then by all means go ahead. However if you want to have Chanel fragrances but for half the price then do I have news that will blow your mind. If you didn't know Chanel have fragrance moisturiser mists that match all the perfumes but they are half price or more!

The fragrance mists last just as long as a perfume if not longer and yet they are way more affordable than a perfume. While I love collection fragrances I don't always want to pay crazy prices. Here are my 3 favourite Chanel Moisture mists:
