Cendrillon Palika: Prologue

I'm not sure why this game's screens doesn't have the usual bottom right corner watermark of company's name and year :s The text box covered the cute otter so I took it out in this screen. 

Tokyo is cursed and if residents want to go outside Tokyo, they have to wear something glass, plus return to Tokyo before midnight, or they will turn into glass and die. One day MC (default name Hairi) wished the curse is broken because she wants to go outside Tokyo and explore. Suddenly this guy appeared, he introduced himself as Kashika the magician, he said he has been searching for someone that can break the curse (aka MC). There are Astrolabi - guardian of time (there are fewer of them now so their existence aren't as well known), this runs by blood in family and they have a special astra watch (which MC has) and only female astrolabi can move the hand of the astrolabe clock and break the curse. He gave MC a pair of glass slippers, MC was nervous if she could really do it, but Cute Otto looked at her with CuteOttoEyes and she agreed to try. Kashika knew her older brother (he is weak to cute animals like Otto) and asked to let him and Otto live with MC & Bro because their house had been burned down, Bro agreed :3

???: Er ... By any chance this is your friend? 

???: Uhm, don't worry. I'm Ela Amarlic. I’m a librarian at the library over there, nice to meet you. 

Ela: Un, I will definitely come visit. 

MC went with Kashika into town, Otto suddenly ran off and get caught by these three guys. From left to right, Natra (gatekeeper), Ela (librarian) and Rindo (watchman, Natra's older brother). 

Kashika: Well then, you can think of me as a wizard or a pumpkin carriage. I plan to carry you around a lot after this.

MC's bro doesn't like leaving Tokyo because it's dangerous so she has never left. She was nervous at the gate but Kashika carried her princess style and walked outside of Tokyo. She asked him to let her walk with her own legs. She was very excited, it was the first time she saw real tree, soil, animals even the smell before it rains (they are all glass inside Tokyo). But then she lost sight of Kashika and wandered into this building and met ...

Shien: Really you guys ... This is Y, she got lost in the forest. 

From left to right Shien (craftsman), Ulen (researcher), Klone (glassmaker). Shien was very friendly, having tea and talking with MC then helped walk her back to Tokyo before midnight. 

???: We are not brothers, something like room-sharing.

Y: Yes, I love black tea!

Kashika: To move the hand, you must enter the “judgement space" inside the clock tower and link the Astra to it. 

When MC tried to make the link, her eye glowed, but first time didn't work yet. With time, and help from the guys she met, she would be able to.

Random: Normally I play the prologue at least to see plots, character sprites, the first few CGs to decide should I play this game/which route now. If not, log them into my colour coded (based on priority) Excel file where I list my games/routes/chapter progress. If anyone finds this fun, we can be friends

✧ I’m starting translations on a new series! Its called Cendrillon PalikA, and its available on Nintendo Switch. This game really caught my eye, but there’s not that much I could find on the internet about it, so why not start myself? I’m starting by translating the prologue for now since I’m going in blind, and don’t know what character routes I like yet. Here is the official site with all the information! ✧

Once upon a time, in this place

A beautiful city made of glass, called Toukyou, was built. [TN: The kanji is, 透京, toukyou, meaning transparent city]

In this beautiful Toukyou, a girl lived in a watchmaker shop.

She was cheerful, kind-hearted, but curiously fascinated by the world outside of Toukyou. 

----And so.

As beautiful as Toukyou was, it underwent a gloomy curse. 

In the event that you were to leave Toukyou without a piece of glass, your body would crystalize into glass, and you would die. 

If you do bring glass with you outside of Toukyou, you have until midnight to return, or you will crystalize into glass. 

Even with this sad curse, the girl was still fascinated with seeing the outside world. 

Then the day came. 

When the girl found glass slippers at a shoe store. 

Young Girl: “If I wear these pretty shoes, I could see the outside world.”

The Cinderella-like slippers gleamed in her eyes. However, these slippers are not obtainable easily. 

By chance, while she was looking at the slippers, she heard a voice from next door. 

???: “Those slippers would look great on you.”

Next to her, a kindhearted boy, who looked like a prince, smiled in her direction. 

The girl did not know how to reply, and her gaze shifted from the young man to the shoes.

???: Instead of just staring at it, why don’t you try them on? Whether you buy it or not, it’s free to wear.”

The young man wore a mischievous grin, and the girl couldn’t help but smile. 

And so, with the new words of encouragement from the young man, she tried on the slippers.

The young man helped the girl in putting on the slippers.

Like Cinderella, the prince-like young man helped her put on the glass slippers.

Young Girl: “Waah...! These slippers really do look pretty...!”

???: “Yup, it looks really good. It looks like it was made for you.”

Young Girl: “That’s exaggerating.”

While talking, her stiffness lessened.

Young Girl: “It looks so pretty, one day...I must buy these glass slippers!”

???: “When you’re able to buy these glass slippers, will you allow me to escort you?”

Young Girl: “Yes!”

???: “Someday, I will see you again, future Cinderella.”

With a smile, the young man, like a true prince, called her Cinderella.

The girl hoped that one day, she would meet the prince once more.

However, as the days went by, the memory of the young prince slowly faded away. 

But yet, her encounter with him left a beautiful memory in her heart. 

----A few years have passed, since then.

The girl has lived her life quietly, and has not left Toukyou with the glass slippers.

The moon glimmered beautifully that night. The moonlight reflected across the entire City of Glass. 

From the window of her room, she looked towards the moon. She thought, will I see this moon outside of Toukyou?

Young Girl: “It would be nice if the curse was broken.”

If there was no curse, anyone could finally come and go as we pleased. 

The details of the curse, about how she could leave and come back at midnight were unknown to her. 

???: “I will teach you the solution to this curse.”

The girl heard an unfamiliar voice from her room.

Young Girl: “Who are you...?”

???: “Like magic, I will turn you into Cinderella.”

Young Girl: “Like magic?”

The mysterious figure slowly moved away from the moonlight, approaching her.

The strange king with a mysterious voice, held a glass scepter in his left hand. And a beautiful glass slipper on the right. They were the glass slippers the girl had adored for a long time. 

Wizard: “You are the only one who can break the curse. However, it will be difficult with only human power. So of course, I will help you.---”

Wizard: “When you wear these glass slippers, look for help. From the one waiting for Cinderella.”

The wizard gave the bewildered girl the glass slippers that were in his left hand. 

Wizard: “Now, Cinderella. It is time to transform.”

Young Girl: “.....”

Fascinated, the girl carefully took the glass slippers from his hand. 

And so, this story has come to an end.

Chapter 1 ✧

SIn embargo a esta maldición triste, la niña tuvo el sueño para ver al mundo afuera. 

El día vinó. 

Cuando la niña encontro unas zapatillas de cristal. 

Niña Joven: “Si pongo estas zapatillas, podría ver el mundo extranjero.”

Las zapatillas de cristal brillarón en sus ojos. Pero las zapatillas no erán facíl para obtener. 

Por chanza, mientras miró a  las zapatillas, ella escucho una voz en seguida. 

???: “Las zapatillas lucerián si tu las usaste. ”

Un niño que parecía un principe joven, sonrió hacea ella. 

La niña no sabía como contestarle, a si que ella cambio su mirada desde el niño y a las zapatillas. 

???: ¿”En vez de quedarte mirando, porque no te las jalas? No importa si las compras o nó, es gratiz probar.”

La expression del niño la calmo, y la niña solo sonrío. 

Con las palabaras del principe joven, la niña probó las zapatillas. 

El niño la ayudó en probarlas. 

Como Cenicienta, el principe joven la ayudó a probar las zapatillas de cristal. 

Niña Joven: “¡Waah...! ¡Estas zapatillas se ven tan bonitas...!”

???: “Si, te queda bien. Parece como si fueran hecahs para ti. ”

Niña Joven: “Estas exagerrando un poco.”

Mientras hablarón, ella se sentió más a gusto. 

Niña Joven: “Se ven tan bonitas, algún día,...¡Voy a comprarlos!”

???: “¿Cuando las uses, me dejarás acompañarte?”

Niña Joven: “¡Si!”

???: “Algún día, nos vamos a ver otra vez, Cenicienta.”

Con su sonrisa, el niño joven, como un principe, la llamó Cenicienta. 

La niña soño con ver al principe otra vez. 

Con los años, la memoria del principe joven desaparecio lentamente. 

Sin embargo, tuvo una impression dentro de su corazón. 

----Pasó años desde ese día. 

La niña ha vivido su vida en silencio, y aún no se fue de Toukyou con las zapatillas de cristal. 

Esa noche, la luna brillo fuertamente. La luz de la luna se reflejo por toda la Ciudad de Cristal. 

Desde la ventana de su cuarto, ella miró hacea la luna. Ella penso a si misma, algún día, wuiero ver la luna afuera de Toukyou. 

Niña Joven: “Si solo la maldición se rompierá.”

Sin la maldición, no habría resticiones en quienes podrián salír ó entrar. 

Los detalles de la maldición no fueron claras a ella, y no supó sobre la regla de media noche.

???: “Te enseñaré la solución a esta maldición.”

La niña oió la voz extraña en su cuarto.

Niña Joven: “¿Quien eres...?”

???: “Con magia, te convertiré en Cenicienta.”

Niña Joven: “¿Magia?”

La sombra se alejo de la luz de la luna, acercandose a ella. 

El rei extraño, tenía un cetro de cristal el su mano izgierda. Y la hermosa zapatilla de cristal ene la otra. Eran las mismas zapatillas que adoraba la niña desde ese día. 

Mago: “Solo tu puedes romper la maldición. Será dificil con solo el poder humano. A si que, por supuesto, de ayudaré.---”

Mago: “Usando estas zapatillas de cristal encuentra a alguien que te ayude.. El quien espera a Cenicientta.”

A la niña asombrada, el mago le dio las zapatillas de cristal. 

Mago: “Ya, Cenicienta. La hora que te transformarás ha venido.”

Niña Joven: “.....”

Asombrada, la niña recibió las zapatillas de cristal.

Con eso, esta historia ya esta finalizado.
