They say the world will end on a whisper, not with a bang.

My visions beg to differ. They reveal an archangel hellbent on unleashing fire, destruction, and suffering upon our world. Branded delusional, my parents ship me off to a psych facility. Fast forward two years later, I’m trying to stitch my shattered world back together when this enigmatic stranger enters my life. My dark and mysterious stalker insists that not only are my visions real, but I’m the chosen one prophesied to defeat the archangel Michael, the leader of the heavenly army.

As we form a reluctant alliance and embark on our perilous quest to find the lost angelic blade, danger and hidden enemies lurk at every turn. “Oh little storm,” the being cooed, hands that are both large enough to crush the world yet small enough to hold his face gently running through his hair. He was being held by lightning, by stars and space and everything in between, cradling his form like he was something oh-so precious. “A surprise to be sure,” the being crooned, purred, rumbled, cracked, some noise of the depths of space mixed with something indescribable. “A surprise, but a welcome one.” 

Billy had never felt so small, yet so loved, like the world itself was holding him against its heart as the whispers of the gods bled away in something akin to awe. The being smiled, distant storms letting loose and ending droughts, even more distant stars bursting into being. “A little marvel of existence,” they hummed, hissed, cooed, whistled, hair- or strands of galaxies- melding into the abyss around them. 

“A surprise son. A child of the Cosmos. Yes.” He was held so gently, space itself dancing and flickering around him, suns pressing hundreds of freckled kisses against his head. “Welcome home, little storm. Welcome home, my son.”

(I replied to someone else's post about how they didn't like Agatha in "What If..." for tap dancing and listening to a man at the end and decided to make my own post about it)

WHAT IF.... SPOILERS BTW

I totally get why some people might think Agatha was OOC in this (I mean, she's from another universe, of course she is) But my thought is that she even admitted once she became a Celestial, that she "played a hero in the movies long enough to get what she wanted." Thus revealing that she truly only became an actress to get more power. And doing that for so long means she would have HAD to learn how to tap dance. Which then got her more roles and made her more famous.

Agatha is a master manipulator (in any timeline) so she WOULD definitely tap dance if it got her what she wanted.

And as for her "giving up her power because a man told her to" I don't fully see it that way. To me, she was an actress so long that she actually started to like it and he was right, she would be adored if she gave up her powers. And if Agatha loves anything, it's the thought of being adored. So I do still see that she wasn't exactly the Agatha we know, but that's because THIS Agatha decided to use film as a manipulation tactic and our Agatha used "being invisible" as a manipulation tactic.

Two different Agathas. Same thought process (get more power). Just two different approaches.

@ingravinoveritas Exactly! His heart never quiets I'm sure, burning with a love for this world they've created. Good Omens has given him just as much, if not more, to make him a bit dewy eyed today too.

@ineffablymischievousscamp Oh, absolutely. I really love that today, of all days, was what got Michael out of Twitter retirement, and that this in particular was something that meant enough to him to comment on it. Your last few words also made me remember Michael's tweet from 2019 where he talked about being dewy-eyed as he filmed his last scene as Aziraphale in GO season 1...

And I think what you've said is exactly right: That Michael's heart never quiets, that it always beats with so much love for Aziraphale and Good Omens and everything that the show and especially the relationship between Aziraphale and Crowley means to him. That on some level, he never has stopped being Aziraphale, even long after filming has ended. (Which seems to fit perfectly with Michael saying on several occasions that he doesn't know where Aziraphale ends and he begins.)

A lot of us today are talking about what Good Omens has given us, but as you mentioned, what GO has given Michael is likely even beyond description. We've heard both him and David say that it's changed their lives, and whether in public or private, I think that both of them are acknowledging the depth of that today, to each other and to the world...

So forgive the effrontery, but I must beg you to humble me.

After humanity was created, they were missing something. They had the logic to make decisions and the emotions to motivate them, but they were lacking the free will to make those choices. So Psyche, the third Creator God, gave them autonomy. As a consequence, it lost theirs—or rather, gained too much, with all the lost souls housed inside their skull. Despite the cacophony of that and the other two Creator Gods, it tries to find beauty in humanity and the things they've created because of its gift.
