I keep thinking about Carpenter's final moments of the podcast and I cannot stop thinking how, despite everything, she was still choosing to move forward and live on. Her brother is dead. She just had to say goodbye to him for the final time. Her friends are fled from her, with no certainty if she will ever catch up to them (and it will haunt me, that she will never know that Hayward died. That he got the ending he wanted even if it might not have been the reunion Carpenter had hoped for them. And if she does suspect what ultimately happen to him, it will haunt me that she chooses to believe they both made it out despite the odds). She's all alone.

And she could find a nice spot and wait for her ending. Lie down and let the long grass take her. But she chooses to get back up. To dream of some sort of future, with cats perhaps, where she lives on. Gets a haircut. Raises a toast to her friends. She will choke on her Nana's song, "There'll be no more need for hurt, word or deed. For sorrow," she will choke on the words and forget the lines and brokenly laugh at the absurdity of it all in the midst of all that grief as she chooses to trudge on, aching and in pain.

"I'll see you back around here another time soon." she says.

It's fine now, honestly. We're just getting back to the regular programming of me being excited to graduate in 4-ish weeks from college and finally getting some free time back after the weekly finals tomorrow.

I'll be perfectly honest, I've been vibing with some 'special' coffee and some Chappell Roan through it and ignoring the harassment and drowning it out. Nothing I haven't dealt with before, in all fairness.

In short, I'm too busy failing to plot out chapter 2 of my original story, chasing my cat to pet the little loveable bastard, and picking out seeds I want for my eventual garden me and my mom want to grow to really care about the opinions of random strangers who harass people online.

3.40 i woke up bc i was cold and needed to pee and now i can't fall back asleep i keep thinking of the people i accidentally ghosted. is it ghosted if there was no intent to ghost? i feel so bad and it's not even like i don't think about them i often do think "i should really reply to them... once this is over ill properly sit down and write them... " and then i don't bc something else happens and im dealing with that and the longer i leave it unanswered the more difficult it becomes because i feel so guilty and therefore want to do things properly not half assed but bc i feel so guilty a part of me also tends to avoid it even more. if i do this to you just know i'm really sorry and ill get back to you i swear

well if everyone else is posting their dnd characters from our new bombass campaign i also will

hi, he's ev'dagnal, 6 days old(?) and doesnt know how to fuckin read (common). so far he has:

scared off two snake wyverns with sheer stinkeye (and a shadow catfriend's mysterious arrows)

asked if the party's monk was food

tried to eat an herbalist's familiar

and, despite an intelligence of 8, has made a face at literally every party member that clearly expresses he thinks they are all stupid as fuck

u know i'm off the deep end when it's 2am and in a tired haze my brain is saying to me "remember when you used to roleplay all the time that was fun what if you did that again" because the evil devil that is me as a 12 year old is whispering in my ear, tempting me back to the darkness
