Hi guys, this is usually what a doodle page ends up looking like <3 (oh, and @ancha-aus thought you might like this! Not writing but certainly fuel to my fire lol-)

This one is New Age filled!!! (Close-ups abd Lore beneath the cut!)

1) Night and Cross!

Night is actually very clingy once he's a teen. He doesn't usually realize it, but around the castle he'll snake to be closer to his Knights so long as there's no one he needs to keep his composure infront of is nearby. Cross is the one who's not used to physical touch (when it's not Ink ofc) so Night in his personal bubble makes his heart melt but also scares tf out of him <3

2) Error and Night's Meeting!

Error was carrying his whole life on his back and trying not to get arrested for unintentional property damage at this point, so when he saw the chance to get back at his brother and prove he was strong enough? Yeah, he got that on chance instantly. And was VERY smug when Nightmare chose him. (Also, Error is wearing gloves, so less Haphephobia)

3) Dream and Blue designs!

I think these are good tentative designs! Dream probably has a more regal fit, but he likes to play up that rugged exile look- He's inspired by Archers, while Blue takes on that classic Knightly-vibe. Their equipment is mostly stolen from Night's troops or brought with them from Blue's home kingdom.

Also, Dream is approx Killer's height at this point, shorter than Cross and *much* shorter than Apple!Nightmare. (Hc that Skeletons tend to be tinier in stature thanks to weird monster beauty standards. Horror and Geno's fam are outliers.)

4) Horror and Dust designs!

Horror is naturally a very *large* monster. He's very malnourished when Nightmare meets him, but by the time he's a Knight Nightmare has made sure that's no longer the case. He actually loves comfy, simple clothes, but to play up the whole 'strong mysterious' bit he wears a more barbaric Knight's garb. He doesn't mind acting scary, it's more fun that way :]. Dust is very very small, and envies horror sometimes for his size, but his tiny stature let's him control his body and move a lot quicker. He's very much based on a rogue, and usually covers the lower part of his face w/ a black cloth, and the upper part w/ his hood or mask. Dust only removes both to bathe, eat, or relax in a safe location. (Ignore that I can't draw the stupid gaster blaster lmao-)

These last two were space-fillers, but Cross and his Borzoi (Windmill, otherwise known as Milly (Killer named her-)) and really bad first wips of Ccino! I think Ccino was a chubby, happy toddler, but lost a lot of 'weight' (bone mass? Magic?) due to stress and pressure and bad eating habits. So it isn't until a while after the Coronation that he starts to relax abd feel safe enough to eat normal meals (Nightmare used to guilt him into eating snacks together, but as his boss (and younger brother) he can encourage it more often). By the time Killer shows he's still not quite healthy, but he's better. As more weight is lifted off his shoulders, the better he is. (That 'beauty' most people saw was a more stereotypical slimness, but Killer never stopped seeing Ccino as beautiful-) I think he never looked traditionally underweight, so no one noticed, and it was only much later that Night processed it. (And maybe it's why Dream hardly recognized him later on-)

❗️ The production company Studio WabiSabi announced that their actors Boun N., Prem W., Santa P., Sammy C., Yacht P. and Stamp P. have terminated their contracts and will no longer be artists under the company on April 15th. Shortly after, GMMTV announced the 6 of them as newly signed artists, along with the disclosure that BounPrem's upcoming BL Vampire Project is now being produced under GMMTV, who now also own all broadcasting rights; WabiSabi will function as a co-producer. New S. stated on Twitter that the decisions had been long in the making, as well as the fact that WabiSabi no longer functions as a management agency for actors and is now a mere production company. He also denied the rumors that the company is shutting down. Shortly after the transfer of the Wabi Sabi actors, actor Fluke Jeeratch (formerly Pongsakorn) joined GMMTV as well.

i saw the lotr musical on wednesday with my brothers!! i didn't know it even existed until like two weeks before we saw it (and didn't have any plans to see it until like two days before we saw it lol) but overall i had a good time!!

review under the cut bc i'm incapable of being concise :)

i knew beforehand that it was telling the whole trilogy in the one musical, so i was prepared somewhat for what the pace of the story would be, but for some reason i was still caught off guard whenever they skipped scenes and stuff - more so in the first act since it was less condensed than the second, and by the second act i was just along for the ride at that point yknow. i don't think it felt rushed necessarily, but my familiarity with the story made me take a second to get used to how they were telling it. i did laugh out loud in the first act when gandalf is captured by saruman and then the next time we see him he's completely fine and is just like 'oh yeah i escaped off stage don't even worry about it'

on the other hand, i think knowing the story beforehand probably helped me follow along with what was happening. my brother's girlfriend came with us and she hadn't seen the movies or read the books, and there were parts she was confused by - she didn't realise that when gollum got the ring at mount doom that he fell into the lava and died, she thought he got the ring and won lol. i will say that the ring getting destroyed was probably the moment that i felt the most let down by, and felt the most like it was rushed. it felt like it didn't have the emotional impact it should've had, unfortunately

i was also lowkey disappointed bc when boromir died i had a brief thought of 'omg they're gonna have the same actor who played boromir to play faramir that's gonna be sooooo cool' and after a second of thought i was like yeah there's no way faramir's gonna be in this lol. and lo and behold he was not. i understand they had to condense it like crazy but i was so sad they cut out faramir and eowyn and like half the shit merry and pippin did!! faramir and pippin are two of my favourite lotr characters 😔

ok but speaking of pippin, when i went he was played by natasha dumlao, which means that 3/4 of the main hobbits were asian!! i don't really have anything to add to that i just liked seeing asian people in lotr who weren't anonymous evil people from the east LMAO. but also seeing a filipino actor play my favourite hobbit felt very special to me personally 🥰

anyways!! my focus with lotr has usually mostly been on merry and pippin (and faramir) and like ofc i love sam and frodo but i think it took this musical for me to really latch onto their story. bc it cuts so much else out and makes them the main focus, i really like zeroed in on them for the first time, and was always itching for the story to cut back to them whenever the rest of the fellowship was on stage doing other plot stuff. rarmian newton and wern mak had incredible chemistry as frodo and sam!! i loved their interpretations of the characters and i wish i could see fan content of their versions!!!

anyways other miscellaneous stuff i liked:

i really liked the baylor/balrog/the thing that kills gandalf idk i haven't read the books and i can't remember what the movies called it. i thought it was a fun design :]

for some reason i liked that frodo had the same accent as the other hobbits?? idk accent names but i thought it was fun he wasn't talking in fancy british talk

i REALLY liked the costume design for the elves and the fact that they were colour coded according to which group they were lol

also really liked gimli's costume design and thought that conor morel's scottish accent was v good v pleasing to my ears

jeremi campese (merry!!). just love jeremi campese in general like i feel like i've seen him in 10 billion productions and he never misses but i especially loved seeing him play a cello that was the size of his body lol (also had no idea he could sing!! or play the cello for that matter)

stephanie caccamo (arwen) had the most beautiful fucking voice omg?? every time she sang it felt like i was ascending

NOW AND FOR ALWAYS!!! i've been listening to it on repeat for the past two days!!!! fuck!!!!!

the choreography in general but the choreography in the cat and the moon was so much fun!!

during the performance there was an INSANE fucking storm happening, so much so that my friends were talking about it the next day and my dad said he'd never seen a storm like it his whole life, and i didn't see any of it bc i was watching this fucking musical, BUT the thunder was so loud i legitimately thought it was just part of the play and was like 'wow really good sound design' until it kept going in parts that didn't make sense for there to be thunder and i realised it was just an actual storm outside jhgfdsfghjk

i'm adding this just bc my brother thought the opposite and it pissed me off but i like that it included the aftermath of the scouring of the shire at the end, i think it helped end the story on a really hopeful note and had a really good emotional impact to see life persevering!! and i don't think it was pointless at all, robert!!!

so yeah. after i saw it on wednesday i probably would have given it 3.5/5, i liked it well enough but still had some issues with it. but then. i just. couldn't stop fucking thinking abt it

(hence the playing of now and for always on repeat for the past two days)

the same exact thing happened with kingdom of the planet of the apes btw, i saw it and was like 'that was fine i guess :)' and then COULD NOT stop thinking about it, then saw it in cinemas six more times :/

so. hehe. i um. you know. on friday night, a whole two (2) days after seeing the musical, i, at one in the morning, impulsively bought a ticket to see it again (i guess i'm not trying to save money??) and i'm seeing it again on wednesday :) this time i'm gonna be in the stalls bc we were in the mezzanine and couldn't always see when the actors went into the crowd :(

but yeah sometimes something that you don't even think is like super mind blowing will just latch onto your brain. augh. i wanna rewatch the movies so bad but i'm waiting until after i watch the musical again

also no shade to hannah buckley i'm sure she's great as pippin but i really liked natasha dumlao and i hope she's playing him again when i see it this week! filipino pippin is actually something that can be so personal!!

the clans use salt for healing and cooking if i remember correctly. im only saying this because would someone ever name their kid "saltkit"

Yes! Saltkit is a valid prefix in BB, but only after moving to the Lake.

Before then, they make a sort-of-salt out of burning dandelion root. They consider this material a kind of soot, fine ashes produced by burning something. The rough translation of this spice is "soot-salty-taste."

Salty (taste) = Byyle (Comes from blood-taste)

Soot (ashes produced by finely burning something) = Keybo (Used alone in artsy contexts, usually describes bistre, a pigment made from soot and water.)

Plant Salt (of coltsfoot or dandelion) = Keybyy

To specify if it comes from Dandelion or Coltsfoot, you'd say Keybyy Raerra or Keybyy Hakprru. There aren't two dedicated words for the difference; these are both considered "types of dandelions" by Clan cats.

Dandelion = Awpo Any flowering ground plant with fluffy yellow petals.

This is why they didn't previously have a word for salt itself! They would only ever encounter raw salt as an animal lick, which they'd call Byylebon. Salty-useful-rock. Because it was associated with humans, they wouldn't steal them or interact with them much.

Rraash is a Townmew loanword, a word they adopted for raw, powdered salt during their time trading with BloodClan. At the Lake, they now collect raw sea salt during "Salt Patrols," which are beach trips where a big collection of apprentices are brought to the ocean to learn how to collect and process salt.

So, depending on how the parents would like to name their child, those translations could be;

Byylemew = Saltykit The taste of salt. Could refer to the flavor of blood, the taste of the ocean, or the spice made from burned dandelion roots. Has a very food-y connotation, probably named by gourmands.

Keybyymew = Saltkit, Spicekit, Seasoningkit, Rubkit This is a very ThunderClan sort of name. They traditionally used a lot of keybyy in their recipes, as it's very important for a good marinade and making ham. Though, it wouldn't be too surprising to see it used in WindClan too.

Rraashmew = Saltkit, Brinekit Raw salt. Made from boiling ocean water during large expeditions to the sea called a "Salt Patrol." Used as a medicine AND as a spice, important in controlling parasite infestations, fighting infection, and preserving food. Could just be referring to an off-white colored pelt, food, or even strength in battle for its association with treating wounds.

So I just watched Nosferatu 2024 yesterday and uhm ,,,

Yeah I have heavy mixed feelings about it.

Spoilers down below, gonna ramble a bit :3

The set design was very nicely done, I actually love how they desgined the setting. And the acting was awesome too. Plus the cat was very adorable and I like how they added context to some things from the original movie (I cant think of any examples though from the top of my head </3).

But if Im honest? Did not enjoy it all that much. I really tried to go into the movie with a positive mindset because I was anticipated it wouldnt be great, but oh my god...

Some of the scenes were there for like-- no reason. I think this is just a me problem because I hate this but a lot of spit and vomit that had me like??? And there was an excessive amount of moaning for some bizarre reason??? Like I totally get that they were possessed but in my humble opinion, potray it in other ways other than just moaning and suggesting comments, thanks.

Honestly, my main gripe I had with the movie is it just felt like a lot of f*tish content crammed into that movie. I wanted it to be horror scary (which it was there, just extremely limited), not fucking like-- pervert creepy. Eugh.

Despite everything good I liked about the movie, Im not watching it again. I hated it.

(I was also very angry when they made Ellen and Thomas argue in that one scene >:p leave them alone!!!

And her dying at the end too? This is outrageous >:T)

"This second (long Covid) round table was very interesting, lasting three and a half hours. It serves as a unique forum for dialogue among scientists, researchers and those affected by long Covid, facilitating the exchange of ideas.

There are many new findings about long Covid. Not all of them are good news. One piece of not-so-good news concerns the fact that long Covid is actually still a problem for those who are newly infected. One estimate that has been put forward is that the risk of contracting long Covid now, even after vaccination, is around 3%. Now you may say, "that's not such a big risk" , but there are tens of thousands of people who are repeatedly affected in a short period of time. And so, the long Covid problem has not yet been solved.

We have also established that there really are many subgroups of long Covid and that we do not yet have a cure. And it was clearly pointed out that we are also dealing with problems here that will challenge society as a whole, because vascular diseases often occur after long Covid. Throughout Europe, we are currently seeing an increased incidence of cardiovascular disease in the middle-age group - from 25 to 50. This is associated with the consequences of Covid infections.

We also very often find cognitive impairment in older people. And one participant pointed out that it may well be like the Spanish flu, where 20 years after the Spanish flu there was a significant increase in Parkinson's disease and probably also dementia.

This is something we must pay attention to, as the past infection afiects how the immune system in the brain functions, as well as the brain's blood vessels, potentially increasing the long-term risk of these major neurodegenerative diseases. This is why we need to conduct very intensive research. This research has played a major role.

What is the overall assessment of the situation now?

We have to be careful. Long Covid is not curable at the moment. We also know that over 40% of those who have several manifestations of long Covid, for example, five or more, still have symptoms after 2 years, so it doesn't seem to heal spontaneously. We also know that those whose symptoms are more pronounced at the beginning are less likely to heal.

So some of what we know from the demographics of long Covid has been confirmed, and we now know more precisely which mechanisms in the brain, but also in the blood vessels and the immune system, are responsible for this. Professor Scheibenbogan will explain this briefly later.

At this point, I can only say the following - this is particularly important to me:

First of all, long Covid is a disease that stays with us and that we cannot yet cure. And we are seeing an increasing number of cases as the waves of infection continue to affect us.

Secondly, Covid is not a cold - with a cold, you don't usually see any long-term effects. You don't see any changes in the blood vessels. You don't usually see an autoimmune disease developing. You also don't usually see neurological inflammation - these are all things that we see with long Covid. Therefore, one should not assume that Covid infection is just a common cold. It can affect brain tissue and the vascular system, and we still lack an effective treatment, making these studies crucial.

Significantly, we know that the risk of long Covid decreases when you're infected but have been vaccinated. That's why it's concerning that only 3 million people have been vaccinated with the new, adapted vaccine. That is a very bad result.

Please protect yourself from severe infections.

Please protect yourself from long Covid.

Currently, the danger posed by Covid is indeed being underestimated. Nothing is worse than infecting someone at Christmas who then becomes seriously ill and may not fully recover."

summary: The ghost that lives in your apartment is a solitary man, people tend to stay out of his way, giving him a wide berth. You can't help but think he seems a little bit lonely, cue pestering him with bad jokes and food.

Simon’s not entirely sure what to make of his pretty neighbour who fattens him up with their cooking and has a penchant for bad jokes that might outshine even him. From the moment he’d caught you staring with wide eyes he’d expected wariness, or outright fear, those were the typical responses. He hadn’t expected you to force a tray of pasta bake into his hands and then promptly disappear before he could get a word in. 

It’s a bit ridiculous, but the random act of kindness set his teeth on edge, enough that he’d even suspected foul play briefly. Hunger and logic eventually won out over his paranoia and Simon devoured the tray embarrassingly fast. He’s not quite sure how to face you so he simply leaves the tray outside your door and assumes that will be that. 

Except it’s not. For some reason you’ve taken it upon yourself to feed him, leaving an array of dishes from dinners to snacks. Apart from an initial note inquiring into allergies you adapt his diet on experience, taking note of what he does and doesn’t seem to enjoy. 

He doesn’t know how to get you to stop, nor does he really want you to. Not when he’s become entirely too reliant on you feeding him, eagerly awaiting each new dish with the excitement of a hyperactive toddler. 

Price says he’s got a crush, which is just absurd, the only thing he knows about you is your name. And that your left cheek has a dimple when you smile, and that you love your cat more than anything and that-

He doesn’t have a crush. 

Then the elevator breaks. It breaks with only you and him inside and instead of panicking like he expected, you only seemed mildly annoyed for a few seconds before you turned to him with a conspiratorial grin. “A bear walks into a bar and says give me a whiskey and… cola. Why the big pause? Asks the bartender. The bear shrugged. I’m not sure, I was born with them.”

Simon’s a little floored and it’s probably only his shock that prevents him from laughing because dammit, that was better than some of his. What shocks him even more is that you aren’t deterred from his silence. If anything, you seem to take it as a personal challenge and your eyes glint in determination. 

It’s both a mixture of the jokes and you’re adorable determination that finally pulls a chuckle from his lips and Simon will forever remember the way your face absolutely lit up at the noise. 

It’s not until he provides a joke of his own before ducking into the safety of his apartment that he briefly thinks Price may have been onto something. He staunchly pushes that thought away but then you start leaving jokes with the food and he has to admit he’s in a little bit of trouble. 

You wrangle his number from him (not that he resisted very hard) and then you wrangle him into your apartment and you make him watch as you flit around your kitchen in order to feed him. 

His next deployment comes at exactly the right time and Simon is prepared to spend the months away getting over you. Except this doesn’t happen because you send him a joke every day without fail, not even deterred when he rarely responds. 

You send a selfie of you and your cat and Simon stares far longer than is appropriate. He’s dreamt of you before, both innocently and not so. For some reason, the distance makes this worse and Simon wakes hard and aching for you more often than not. 

(Johnny walks in on him with his hand in his pants staring at a picture of you once and neither of them can look at each other for days. He thinks this is preferable to the shit-eating grins Johnny throws his way now.)

For the first time in his life, Simon’s desperate to get back from deployment to the empty apartment he barely considers his home. The empty white walls and space not seeming as depressing when he knows you’re waiting for him just across the hall. Waiting to fill the dark void in his chest that grows when he loses access to your smile. 

For the first time in his life, Simon doesn’t want to leave his apartment. Each time Price calls him away from your presence starts to weigh on his soul more and more. It’s getting harder and harder to stop being Simon, to put on the mask and be the Ghost when all he can think about is you. 

It all comes to a head nearly nine months after he'd initially met you. As much as he tries to ignore the way his heart sings in your presence and aches in your absence Simon can’t really deny how he feels about you anymore. 

You pull him from his dangerous train of thoughts when you plop down next to him on the couch. Not exactly a new move in of itself but even then he can’t help the way he shivers at the feel of your arm against his skin. 

If asked Simon wouldn’t be able to tell you a single plot point of the movie you’d put on, not when his mind was running a mile a minute and he was trying not to smell your hair like a creep. 

He tenses a little when you tip against him but doesn’t push you away. Instead, he can’t help but smile softly down at you as he watches you fall deeper and deeper into the clutches of sleep. Awe and adoration in his eyes as one of his hands lightly stroked your cheek, his other arm wrapping around you to pull you closer to his chest. 

You’d wormed your way into his heart months ago with all your stupid jokes and your insistence on looking after him. Not once had you ever asked for anything in return, you even seemed offended at the implication. 

He wasn’t stupid enough to let you in on his feelings, not when every time he left you could end up being his last. Simon had once accidentally caught you crying over your brother, a soldier like him, though not as lucky. Your brother was dead and buried and Simon saw the toll it took on you years later even when you tried to hide it. 

You were the sun. You were light and everything that was good in this world, saw the good in him, and Simon refused to be the potential reason that light was snuffed out. 

He wouldn’t do that to you. But Simon wasn’t completely selfless, so he held you in his arms as he slept, letting himself imagine a life where you could be together. A life where he got to come home to you and your stupid fat cat, his apartment no longer in use and he’d hold you just like this as you slept. 

This wasn’t that life, but Simon still let himself pretend it was, just for a little bit. Because Simon couldn’t deny it any longer, he loved you, was in love with you. And for that, he had to leave before he ruined you.
