torn between thinking steve on christmas morning is doing The Mom Thing where he sits on the couch with a blanket and a steaming mug of coffee, smiling when Dustin opens the gift he swore he wasn’t getting him.

or thinking he does The Dad Thing where the second everyone is down the stairs he’s got the trash bag Locked and Loaded, lest a piece of wrapping paper so much as touch the carpet.

what i do know, is that eddie is as in the fray as everyone else, and never makes it out of Present Time without at least one bow getting tangled in his hair.
