Ten facts Carla?
Her favourite Disney movie is Hunchback of Notre Dame, she can't choose a favourite musical but Wicked, In The Heights, and Cabaret (and eventually Hamilton) are always in her top few
She loves all of her siblings but is closest with Mateo
She sees Sugar as more of a sister than a cousin
Gilmore Girls is her favourite TV show, she's a Jess girl through and through (is it also a bit weird to her that her favourite character looks like her dad when he was young, maybe so)
She was friends with Mike and Brittany before starting at McKinley – they'd been at the same dance studio since they were all kids
Her closest friends in s1/2 are Mike, Brittany, Quinn, and Santana – she stays close with the Unholy Trinity in s3 but her best friends become Mike, Blaine, Sugar, and Sam
Aaron Kennedy is her first boyfriend. They started dating when she was a freshman in Vocal Adrenaline (Aaron was a sophomore), date until after s1 sectionals, start dating again for a while in s2 (tbd exactly when they break up but it's before prom – maybe they still go to his senior prom together as friends but not hers)
Carla was five when her parents died, she's the only one of her siblings who knew her parents (the others were all put up for adoption as babies) which is also why she's the only one who hyphenates her last name
Carla's eldest brother has been best friends with Josh St James since they were in high school and her two eldest sisters were good friends with Amelie Kline, and Carla has spent her life in community theatre with Josh (and Shelby Corcoran) and then was in Vocal Adrenaline with Jesse (who was her biggest supporter in getting back into performing after The Incident™) so the Brice & St James families have always been very close
Her full name is Carlotta, named after the Phantom Of The Opera character

am kinda on the fence abt Mayfair Witches so far -- it doesn't feel anywhere near as sumptuous as iwtv, and the story feels kinda,,, rushed? idk, the buildup to the deaths in ep1 wasn't really there for me -- what makes especially lemle's death impactful for rowan in the book (where it's part of her backstory obviously) is that he's her mentor, she's been working with him for years, and she's almost corrupted by him
I don't remember keck at all, I think he's made up for the show? idk -- but it also feels odd that they would make up a new character for rowan to kill instead of using her adoptive dad
I do like that we got to see ellie mayfair and that she got a bit of a story
I don't mind that ellie knows abt the talamasca (can't remember if she knew in the book) or that she contacts them, but I don't like that they've combined michael and aaron into one character; I've always loved michael for the contradictions of him (blue collar, self made, college educated, intellectual) and combining him with aaron kinda erases those contradictions -- and I think some of the story is lost if michael isn't there with his new orleans background and his near-death experience
(also, erasing michael means erasing the meet-cute of rowan saving him from drowning which sucks)
(wanna stress this is nothing to do with the actor being black; I would've loved for a black man to play michael -- that could even work as a change from the Irish roots of book!michael)
having the guy who's gonna become the love interest be a member of the secret magic society kinda feels too --- cw teen drama imo
also aaron lightner is just a neat guy, like, he's old, he's british, he's an intellectual, he's psychic, he's everyone's grandfather, idk, I just love him, and I think removing him takes smth away from rowan -- denies her a guide in a way
actually, that also does smth to the dynamic between rowan and michael/ciprien bc in the books it's like. rowan is far superior intellectually to michael, and there's no doubt she's in charge; as outsiders to the supernatural world, they're on even footing re. knowledge of what's going on, but by making ciprien a member of the talamasca, they lose that equality; now he's suddenly the one with answers, the guide she has to look to -- and I don't like that
I'm very curious to see what's gonna happen with deirdre tho bc the preview kinda suggested that she's gonna wake up from her sedation -- which would be a humongous departure from the books (and not a change I'm personally in favour of)
also its seems they've combined carlotta and nancy into one character which just. Doesn't work
I do very much like alexandra daddario tho, I think she's really well-cast, and the same goes for harry hamlin as cortland -- cortland has always been a favourite character of mine, and harry hamlin seems to have hit the nail on the head with him
#jay talks#this is such a rambly post rip#amc mayfair witches#spoilers#mayfair witches#rowan mayfair#Anne rice#the witching hour

And for the hell of it, I give you a small pyramid of One Piece fankids to end the year.
At the top, Norin, my Usokaya kid. Ball of sunshine, best girl.
The two in the middle are Sophie and Carlotta. Sophie is the long lost spawn of Buggy who I made, alongside her brother, for purely self indulgent clown-simping reasons lmao. Carlotta is a Buggy/Alvida kid I made for fun, who also has a twin brother.
And the bottom three are my Zosan kids, all adopted: Kirida, adorable sword girl who they found in a drifting lifeboat shortly after her birth and her birth mother’s death, premature and sickly. Nuada, feral sky child full of unchecked aggression his new adoptive dads are helping him deal with and understand, and Natiya, from a royal family, she watched her parents be executed during a coup and, under the belief she was too young to remember anything before this, was kept to be moulded and manipulated into the ‘ideal ruler’ by those who killed her birth parents. Turns out, thanks to a devil fruit she consumed, she can recall anything she has seen with perfect clarity. She is eventually rescued and adopted by Zoro and Sanji.
The idea behind Nuada and Natiya’s backstory are credit of @rosetheshapeshifter
I love making silly fankids for fun, it’s a good excuse for character design practise!

May I ask — if you’re okay with it — for some baby Luca content?!?!? I keep rereading all your past stuff with him :):):):) If it’s alright, can i ask if you have any hcs with Luca and mama Reyes?!?!? Maybe with Vale and Sofia and Lola? I had a thought a little while ago where maybe after they take him home, and Carlos goes to work first, TK freaks out when Luca won’t stop crying and calls carlotta in a panic and carlotta comes over and hears all of tks insecurities while holding little Luca and she just holds them both rocking back and forth in comfort :):) I love your Reyes family so so much XD
You’re asking for headcanons of my favorite family and baby boy? Twist my arm, why don’t you, nonnie, lol.
Okay, so at first, Carlota and the girls don’t meet Luca right away. At the time, TK and Carlos are fostering the little boy with the hopes of adoption, so everyone is tentative about it, especially cause they don’t want to overwhelm Luca with too many people.
But after a few weeks, and Luca is settling in with them, they introduce Luca to the extended family. They all obviously fall in love with the little boy with waves of brown hair and big doe eyes.
Carlota swears he looks like Carlos even though obviously, Luca is not biologically his son, TK completely agrees and admits it’s one of the many reasons he fell in love with Luca at first sight.
Luca is timid for about 2.5 seconds around everyone until Mari (Sofía daughter) and Adrian (Valentina’s son, he’s almost a year older than Luca) come and ask him to play.
Mari decides by the end of the first meeting that little Luca is her baby.
As always, Carlota shows her love through food and tries to figure out what Luca likes best. Like with her other grandchildren, she keeps sweets in her purse that she sneaks to him when she thinks TK and Carlos aren’t looking.
They notice, of course, and tell her to stop cause they’re the ones who have to deal with the sugar crash, but Luca smart boy that he is, has learned that all he has to do is look up at her with his big brown eyes and say ‘Mas?’ for him to have a handful of candies. He has the power, and he knows how to use it.
You mentioned TK being stressed when Luca’s cries for Carlos and Carlota helping is 100% accurate. From the beginning, Luca and Carlos have a special relationship. TK knows Luca loves and depends on him too, but one week Carlos has to go out of town for work, and it’s hell, he misses his husband, and Luca misses his papa. At his wit’s end, TK calls his mother in law.
She holds Luca, murmuring to him reassurance in Spanish until he calms down, and then talks TK through his fears of not being a good enough dad.
She tells him it’s normal; she raised four kids thinking she was messing up at every turn, and sometimes she did, but her kids loved her anyway, and Luca loves him too. She turns to Luca in her arms and asks him if he wants dada now. Luca doesn’t answer. Instead, he slips from her lap over to TK, asking to be picked up.
TK feels the tears fall when Luca slips his little arms around his neck, holding him as tight as his little body lets him.
Speaking of tears, Carlota cries like a baby the first time Luca calls her Abuelita. The girls tease her cause she didn’t cry as much when their kids called her grandma, but they’re no better. The first time Luca says ‘hi titi Vale, titi Sofía or titi Lola’ they all but flood the house with happy tears.
Carlos, the brat that he is, laughs at all of them until TK reminds him of the first time Luca called him papa and he shuts right up.
All in all, the Reyes clan embraces Luca just like they embraced TK – as one of their own and the reason Carlos (their baby) is so happy.
That’s all I got for now, nonnie, hope you liked it.

While me and my friend, @disneyfan50 , are still messing around with our Owl House inspired AUs and changing some stuff with season 2 still coming out, decided to maybe at least explain the character roles in the AUs, this one being The Grymn’s House, an AU on disneyfan’s A Charming Prince And The De Vil Girl and my series, Descendants: Family Business:
*Carlotta ‘Carly’ De Vil- also known as The Cursed Grymn, Carly unlike her brother, refused to join a coven as she preferred her freedom, but this resulted in the Emperor’s coven constantly hunting her down and as a result, Carly having to run a lot and having to survive on selling human junk from the human realm, but one of these days results in a human coming through her portal door and her life changes from that point onwards.
*Charity Charming- a human from the human realm, Charity did try her best to behave when it came to her adopted dad, but her love for fantasy meant she often caused antics, mainly at her school where after a incident involving snakes and fireworks, she is sent to summer camp in vain hope she’ll learn to be normal, but instead of going, she ends up following a dog who stole her book....right into a world right out of her book.
*Luna- a demon that resembles a dog, not much is known about her origins outside of the fact that while on the run, Carly ran into her hiding place and by the time Carly left, she had Luna with her and despite insisting she’s terrifying, many disagree, especially Charity.
*Spot- the demon that resides within the house, Spot is the Grymn’s house in some sense, and despite residing withi the door, does move around the house and even the town and despite coming off as creepy and annoying at times, does mean well.
*Fluffy- Carly’s palisman she made out of palisman wood while younger, Fluffy is a dog palisman that when not being used by Carly and Charity eventually, roams the house or steals human junk from the human realm.
*Carlos De Vil- Carly’s twin brother, Carlos serves the Emperor’s coven and is proud of his place in it, even if he doesn’t like to discuss what he had to do to get into it, as he finally recently rose to coven leader status, but after losing a fight to his sister, he ends up with the task to capture her, with the promise if he does, her curse will be cured.
*Jayra Scales- a student in Hexside, Jayra is known to have been a latebloomer in her magic, which resulted in her and Maggie falling out as children and in present, Maggie tormenting her as Jayra failed at the Oracle track, but when she sneaks a human into school one day, she finds her life changing as shes switched to the Illusionist Track and ends up befriending the human, Chaity.
*Alexander Mercier- a student in Hexside, Alexander is known to be pretty friendly and excels at his chosen track off Beast Keeping, while also having a love for the human realm to the point when Jayra sneaks a human into school, he ends up befriending the human and becoming the two’s loyal friend.
*Maggie Mim- the youngest of the Mim children, Maggie can come often come off as aloof and cold, preferring to only to keep to those in her status, resulting in her bullying her former friend, Jayra, a lot for failing at the track Maggie excelled at, aka Oracle Track, but after a few incidents with the human, Maggie would find herself slowly changing for the better and slowly befriending Jayra again while slowly falling for the human.
*Matthew and Mary Mim- the eldest of the Mim children, both twins are known for their mischief and using their tricks from the Potion track to do said mischief, and when it comes to their sister, they vary between getting along and turning nasty if she tells on them.
*Hebe Zero- a student in Hexside, Hebe is known to get away with a lot due to her status and therefore, often uses said status to pick on others, especially Jayra, but she still maintains her position as the schools sports star while excelling at the Bard Track.
*Atiya Lamp- a student in Hexside, Atiya due to his families status, was close with Hebe and Maggie since children and therefore, often gets away with a lot and that includes targeting others like Maggie, but still manages to excel at the Potions coven.
*Melissa and Mr. Mim- the parents off Maggie, Matthew and Mary, they are known to be strict and harsh with their children, expecting nothing but the best, especially from Maggie. Being from the Oracle and Abomination covens respectfully, both own and run Mim Industries.
*Emperor Dargovir Kaltelas- the ruler of the Isles, he is known to have created the covens system and to enforce that if any one refuses to join, they will be punished fully, but despite his control over the realms, he still intends to extend his power to the human realm, one way or another.
*Clio- the emperor’s lover, she is given most of the important tasks within the coven and is a leader within it, with her looking forward to when they extend their power to the human realm finally.
*The Golden Guard/Carla- being told her father abandoned her with the coven, Carla grew up training until she was a child prodigy and finally allowed on the field as the Golden Guard, the emperor’s most loyal guard, but she starts to get doubts about the lie about her dad after some encounters with a man with the same hair as her.....

Two Roses from different Vines
(A/N: As thanks to @carlottastudios for her gift to me a few days ago, this will be my gift to her. Linden, Summer, and Fawn belong to her, hope you guys enjoy. Merry Christmas, Carlotta!)
Linden: Wait, so my mom married Uncle Jaune in this universe?
Garnet: Uh-huh, so who did my dad end up with in yours?
Linden: Aunt Weiss.
Garnet, in disbelief: Shut the front door, what?!
Linden: Well don’t look at me, dude! That’s just how stuff happened in my universe.
Garnet: Dang...that’s trippy.
Linden: Not as trippy as my dad crushing Aunt Penny in this world...
Garnet: Hey, it’s working out at least. So I take it Uncle Whitley didn’t marry Auntie Yang?
Linden: Nope! Uncle Neptune!
Garnet: *leans back* Wow...
Linden: Well, enough of that, got any siblings???
Garnet: Two, only boy, sisters, Blossom and Citrus, you?
Linden: Little brother Fawn and adoptive sister Summer. Mom and dad-er, Uncle Oscar in your case, found in her in the woods being chased by Grimm, they took her in and she’s been with us ever since. I also...have a crush...on her... *the tan skinned boy blushes and looks away*
Garnet: ...huh.
Linden: It’s not incest if we’re not related!!!
Garnet: *raising arms in mock surrender* Woah, dude, chill out, I wasn’t saying that at all. Just got me by surprise.
Linden: Oh, sorry. It’s just that Fawn teases me about it a lot, gets annoying really quick. What about you guys, any crushes?
Garnet: *blushing and rubbing the back of his head* Uuuhhh wellll, that’s a long story...or two. My first crush was Olivia, daughter of Grandma Glynda and Grandpa Oz, we were pretty steady until we just...lost the spark, I guess, but we’re still close! Next was Jade, and from her name you can probably guess who he parents are.
Linden: Wait, let me think! *concentrates, then claps hands* Emerald and Mercury!
Garnet: *snaps fingers* Bingo. We were great but a little rickety, as in she was very pushy and pressured me to do a lot of stuff. We eventually did something that will go down in out universes’ history as the “Remnant Rampage,” Long story short; don’t leave a bunch of teens unattended while your parents are away from home. Then there was Gabriel, and he turned out be a piece of shit so I cut him off from my life.
Linden: You were a little “bi-curious” too?
Garnet: Heh, yeah, that was a weird point in my life, but it was fun.
Linden: Wow. Summer...doesn’t know what she is, all she knows is that she likes me, so she calls herself “Lindensexual,” genius name I know. Fawn is a bit of a ladies man, been around Qrow a whole lot so that’s a thing now.
Garnet: Pffft, ha! That’s awesome, Blossom is being super crushed on by Aunt Weiss and Uncle Neptune’s youngest son, Nikolas. She denies she has any feelings for him and shuts down any attempts at him trying to woo her over. Citrus is an odd case as she didn’t love anyone until she met Kain, oldest child of Cinder.
Linden: Saywhatnow?????
Garnet: What?
Linden: Er, nevermind, didn’t realize she’s alive in this universe.
Garnet: What went down in yours...?
Linden: Let’s put a pin in that and say it’s a long story with crazy details.
Garnet: Oooookay? Oh, are Grimm still a problem in your world?
Linden: Not really, they’re on a decline and Hunters are having no need for jobs anymore, though some of my friends still want to be ones later on in life, counter-intuitive as it sounds.
Garnet: So you don’t have a weapon?
Linden: Nuh-uh!
Garnet: Pssh, lame...
Linden, defensive: Hey!!!
Garnet: All I’m saying is you’d look cool with a scythe like mom, Silver Eyes alone ain’t going to protect you! Hell, my scythe is also an oodachi, a broadsword in base form, and a Dust powered railgun, and I have gauntlets that shoot Dust rounds, boots with hidden knives, and a glock.
Linden: Someone’s extra, and at least I wear something more practical...
Garnet: Well you gotta be prepared in my universe, Grimm are one the rise more than ever, are taking new forms or evolving, and new ones are popping up too! And what’s wrong with long coats, they’re cool! Cloaks are outdated anyways.
Linden: Lies and slander!!! Why are wearing you coat like that anyways? One sleeve on and one not doesn’t seem very battle ready...
Garnet: *he freezes and his alter-universe friend points out his strange attire. He glances to his right arm, a look of apprehension and fear, trying to piece together an answer* It’s...a really really...really long story...
“One of how you almost tossed your worthless life away, boy? Go ahead and tell him, I’m sure he’d love to hear it!”
*Garnet punched his shoulder, angered at the voice of the eldritch hydra-like beast making its home in his right limb. “Shut you damn mouth you freaking parasite!” he said firmly in his head*
Linden: What the hell was that about?!
Garnet, snapping back to reality: Nothing, nothing! Just zoned out for a bit.
Linden: Okay then......
Garnet: You come from a great universe, Linden. I wouldn’t be envious of mine is all I’m saying.
Linden: Noted, and you come from a good one too. Though you could stand to have a break.
Garnet: Tell me about it!
*The boys share a laugh between themselves, finding commonality and distinction to their respective worlds. One things for sure, they wouldn’t mind meeting each other again!*

Fifty Questions Tag
@thesimperiuscurse was kind enough to tag me in this tag and since I’m supposed to study for exams, I thought I’d do it right away. I’m heading off to procrastination station! :D
I’m answering these questions for, who else, Gina, but I’m going to do it under a cut, so you don’t have to scroll so much on your dash.
How old is your sim? 24.
When is your sim’s birthday? 3rd of April.
What is your sim’s zodiac sign? Aries.
What is your sim’s ethnicity? Italian.
Does your sim have any nicknames? She goes by Gina and her uncle calls her Cupcake. He’s the only one who can get away with it.
Do they have a job? If so what is it? She’s a gang leader who also works as an art thief.
Where does your sim live? In Monte Vista.
Who does your sim live with? She’s lived alone with her dad in Monte Vista since her brother moved out, but her dad has since moved to Collesena to live with her mother.
What environment did your sims grow up in? She grew up in a loving and caring environment, despite the close connection with the gang.
What are your sim’s favourite foods? Gina will eat nearly everything and she absolutely loves food. She has a special fondness for sweet stuff, especially cake (Hence the nickname Cupcake by her uncle).
What is your sim’s favourite drink? White wine. Her and Carlo constantly argue over whether white or red is better, though they generally agree that wine is fantastic.
If they have one what is your sim’s favourite color? She likes teal but it was sort of a surprise to her when Lotta first pointed out that she nearly always wears teal - she honestly didn’t think much about it and never really thought much about a first colour.
Does your sim believe in any clichés? (love at first sight). Not really. She’s a romantic at heart and wants both the big white wedding and family, but she has no illusion that it comes out of nothing.
What is your sim’s sexuality? Straight.
What is your sim’s gender identity? Cis female.
Is your sim type a or type b? If we’re talking A and B personalities, she’s more on the A side.
Is your sim introverted or extroverted? She’s more extroverted and is the type of person who invites someone over rather than being alone.
What is your sims favourite woohoo position? Gina is up for plenty of stuff and doesn’t have a particular favourite position.
Is your sim a pet person? If so what is their favourite animal? No, she is not. She likes animals but she can’t be bothered to have one herself. She would probably like the personality of cats better, but she thinks dogs make better pets but again - she wouldn’t get any.
Does your sim have a best friend? Yes, Carlotta Allegri. They’ve known each other always but only been friends for eight years.
What is/was your sim’s favourite school subject? Lol. No.
Is/was your sim a high, mid or low achiever in school? Low achiever. Very, very low.
Are they planning to go or have they already been to college? If so, what would be or what was their major? Gina went to university for around a year, studying art history. The stuff she retained was useful enough but she loathed studying.
What are your sims political beliefs? (If they have them). She doesn’t really have any. She’s happy to use the gang’s influence to affect political decisions but she mostly does it for the good of the gang.
What is one thing your sims wants to do before they die? Make a name for herself in the underworld - and she’s well on the way to doing it.
Does your sim have a favourite TV show (cable) and/or movie? So, I don’t like to connect pop culture to my stories. You will rarely, if ever, see me referencing real life works that aren’t old (we’re talking 100+ years old). It’s my attempt at keeping the stories fairly timeless, though that’s obviously impossible. To this, therefore, I’ll simply answer that no, I don’t think she has any favourites - she will watch a movie or show with a friend, but she doesn’t care enough to pick a favourite.
Is your sim a Netflix viewer? If so what are their top 3 shows. Yet again, I’m not going to mention any actual works, but as with the movie question, I don’t think she’d have any top 3 shows. She simply doesn’t care enough about movies or tv.
Does your sim like books? If so what’s their favourite one? Oh hell no.
Does your sim enjoy video games, if so what is their favourite one and do they play on PC or console? I can imagine Gina playing with her nephew when he’s playing a console game, though she’s terrible at it. She’s actually terrible at technology.
What is your sim’s personal style? For work, she likes to dress in dark clothes and to send a certain image, which results in hear nearly always wearing her leather jacket and shiny black boots - at the same time, she will still wear revealing clothing as a sort of reminder that hey, she’ll completely kick your ass and you’ll probably be lowkey attracted to her while she’s doing it.
Does your sim have a lucky charm? She does not, but she is a little superstitious so she’ll be the first to tell you not to do certain things before an art heist.
Is your sim religious? No.
What kind of music does your sim listen to and who is their favourite artist? Again, not going to mention any particular real-life artists (also not going to make any up for the story). Gina likes to listen to music that sounds good when played obnoxiously loudly and especially when she’s driving at high speeds in a stolen car. Though she also likes piano music.
Is your sim a festive person? If so what’s their favourite holiday? She’s festive when it comes to holidays that involves family so Christmas would probably be her favourite.
What is your sim’s favourite type of weather? She likes it to be sunny and very warm.
Does your sim prefer to start fights or finish them? Oh, she does both. Gina is a tiny ball of anger and it doesn’t take much to provoke her, though she’s gotten better as she’s aged. In her teen years, she was happy to start fights at the slightest provocation and she wasn’t popular with teachers as a result.
Does your sim have a dream job? She’s working it!
Does your sim have any siblings? She has an older biological brother, Giuliano, and an older adopted sister, Marta.
Does your sim get along with their family? She does, though she gets along best with her dad (whom she adores) and her siblings. Her and her mother have a healthy respect for each other but they’re too similar to really get along.
What is your sim’s favourite hobby? She likes to take a long, fast drive in the countryside and preferably in a vehicle she doesn’t own.
What does your sim look for in a romantic partner? Mostly, she looks for a connection and especially for someone she can talk to for a long stretches of time without getting bored. Though she’s not aware of it, she also looks for someone who grounds her.
What is a secret about your sim? She still has a little stuffed rabbit that she was fond of as a kid. It’s pink and because she loved it so much, it’s absolutely terrifying now. The only person who knows about it is Enzo.
What is a wish your sim has? She doesn’t verbalise it but she really wants a stable, long-lasting relationship and a loving family like the one she grew up in.
What is a flaw your sim has? Her terrible, terrible temper is her biggest flaw - with it comes a tendency to act rashly and to find it hard to forgive.
How do others generally perceive your sim? She’s generally perceived as sweet and fun-loving, though also as someone to watch out for, due to her temper.
Does your sim have a greatest achievement? Her greatest achievement is yet to come - it would be spoilery to write it here. ;)
If they have one, what is your sim’s greatest regret? She regrets getting together with Doriano Montanari as a teenager and even more she regrets not knowing that her now future sister-in-law, Flora, was seeing him as well. She wishes she could have warned her and prevented the pain Flora went throlugh at his hands.
Does your sim have a favourite emoji? Gina is completely baffled at technology and can only do the most basic things with her phone so no, she doesn’t have a favourite emoji.
Does your sim use simstagram? If so what’s their @? Another nope. (This is also my own aversion against referencing social media in my stories - re: My attempts at making the story more timeless).
What is the last text your sim sent (and who did they text)? She only texts Carlotta and all her messages are to the effect of: “get your ass over here i have wine.” (All in lower caps, of course).
Welp, that was a long one and I’d better get back to studying, so I’ll skip the tagging this time, unless somebody wants to do it in which case: You have hereby been tagged - go forth and do it.
#njb sims#regina mancini#taggy stuff#ha ha my aversion to talking about pop culture in the stories is also a reason i feel so left out of the community#like everyone else have their characters watching marvel movies and reading harry potter#and my references amount to some old timey painters and that one time gina is shit at greek mythology#now that i'm thinking back i come across as superior for all of my no popculture thing#to be clear that's not what to take away from it#it's just my preference#i try not to reference too many real life events/culture to not place my story in a particular time or place#obviously i'm affected by my time and culture but i don't deliberately advertise that fact
