Composition of Body Filler Hardener
Body filler hardener, often referred to simply as "hardener," is a crucial component in the automotive repair industry. It plays a pivotal role in the application and curing of body filler, which is used to repair dents, dings, and other imperfections on the surface of vehicles. This substance is a catalyst that initiates the chemical reaction responsible for transforming the pliable body filler into a strong, rigid material. In this article, we will explore the importance of body filler hardener, its composition, application, and safety considerations.
Body filler hardener typically consists of a chemical compound known as peroxide. Peroxide is a reactive substance that, when mixed with polyester-based body filler, triggers a chemical reaction called polymerization. This reaction causes the filler to harden and become solid, making it an essential step in the repair process.
Peroxide hardeners come in various forms, but the most common type is benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is a white, crystalline solid that is highly reactive with the polyester resin in body fillers. When mixed with the resin, it releases oxygen, which initiates the curing process. This results in the transformation of the soft, malleable filler into a hardened, durable surface that can be sanded and painted to match the vehicle's finish.
The Application Process
The application of body filler hardener requires precision and careful handling to achieve the desired results. Here are the key steps involved in using body filler and its hardener:
Surface Preparation: Before applying body filler, the damaged area must be thoroughly cleaned and prepared. This typically involves removing any loose paint, rust, or contaminants from the surface. Sanding is often necessary to create a rough texture that helps the filler adhere better.
Mixing: The body filler and hardener are mixed together in precise proportions according to the manufacturer's instructions. Typically, a small amount of hardener is mixed with a larger quantity of body filler. The mixing process should be thorough and swift, as the filler starts to cure once the hardener is added.
Application: After mixing, the filler is applied to the damaged area with a putty knife or a similar tool. It is spread evenly over the damaged surface, and care is taken to achieve a smooth finish. The thickness of the filler should be consistent and in line with the repair requirements.
Curing: The chemical reaction initiated by the hardener begins as soon as the filler is applied. Depending on the temperature and the specific product used, curing times can vary. It's essential to allow sufficient time for the filler to harden before moving on to the next steps.
Sanding: Once the filler is fully cured and hardened, it can be sanded to achieve a smooth, level surface. This step is crucial for creating a seamless finish that blends with the rest of the vehicle's body.
Priming and Painting: After sanding, the repaired area is typically primed and painted to match the vehicle's original finish. This step not only provides a cosmetic improvement but also protects the repaired area from moisture and corrosion.
Safety Considerations
Working with body filler hardener requires strict adherence to safety precautions due to the potentially hazardous nature of the chemicals involved. Here are some important safety considerations:
Ventilation: Always work in a well-ventilated area, such as a garage with open doors or windows. The fumes produced during the curing process can be harmful if inhaled in large quantities.
Protective Gear: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and a mask or respirator to protect against inhaling harmful fumes.
Skin Contact: Avoid direct contact with body filler and hardener. They can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. If skin contact occurs, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water.
Eye Protection: Protect your eyes from accidental splashes or spills by wearing safety glasses.
Storage: Store body filler and hardener in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for storage conditions.
Dispose of Waste Properly: Dispose of any waste materials, such as used containers and mixing tools, in accordance with local regulations. Do not pour excess filler or hardener down drains or into the environment.
Conclusion
Body filler hardeneris an essential component in the automotive repair industry, facilitating the restoration of damaged vehicle surfaces. Its composition, typically benzoyl peroxide, initiates the curing process of polyester-based body filler, transforming it from a pliable substance into a hard, durable finish. Proper application and safety precautions are crucial when working with body filler and hardener to ensure the best results and protect the health of those involved. By understanding the role of body filler hardener and following best practices, professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike can achieve quality repairs that restore the appearance and integrity of vehicles.

What a busy Saturday. It started early with a quiet breakfast over the Wordle. I even got the washing machine loaded and going and some hexie stitching in before Daughter arrived for Park Run. It was a bit foggy on the way to the park and a little chilly but it soon warmed up as we headed off on our run. We went for coffee and cake after we had done all the running. I commented on Daughters increased speed and she said she wasn't far behind me and could see me up ahead cutting my way through the pack like a mint slice, highly visible in my favourite mint coloured running t-shirt. My new running name is now Mint Slice. After the run we headed to Daughters house to deliver a trailer load of poop for her garden. We helped shovel the poop and weed her gardens before heading home for lunch. After lunch I went back around to Daughters to help her stain her front fence. It is a big job but we made good progress. While we were doing that Hubby was at home sanding the doors for the Mk1 Cortina restoration. He also made good progress too.

1935 Duesenberg
Clark Gable and his 1935 Duesenberg
His wife, Carole Lombard, had one too, which is now in a museum in NZ.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif.
Its 420-cubic-inch straight-8 pulled like a train; it was reputed to have a 115-m.p.h. top speed – “right off the showroom floor,” It could exceed 100 m.p.h. in the second of its three gears, boasted E. L. Cord, the company’s president at the time. Its wheelbase of nearly 12 feet gives the car a poised, unflappable ride. And its massive steering wheel guides the wheels straight and true – although its vacuum assisted drum brakes provide the car somewhat uncertain stopping power
Today, the car’s odometer shows 13,416 miles.
It was January 25, 1936 and Clark Gable had a new car to show off – to a new object of his affections. She was actress Carole Lombard, and the hostess of the lavish White Mayfair Ball, a formal Hollywood soiree, to which Gable drove his 1935 Duesenberg Model JN convertible that night.
The suave actor eventually convinced Miss Lombard to “take a spin around town” with him; when he invited her to his suite a few miles away at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, she famously replied, “Who do you think you are? Clark Gable?”
They weren’t exactly strangers; they had already co-starred together in “No Man of Her Own”. After filming wrapped Miss Lombard presented Mr. Gable with a ham – with his picture on it! But their professional relationship went no further at that point; Miss Lombard was then married to William Powell (she divorced him a couple of years later).
Nevertheless, after they re-connected at the White Mayfair Ball, a scandalous affair ensued; Mr. Gable, still married, was often spotted traveling in the Duesenberg with Miss Lombard from her bungalow on Hollywood Blvd. to night spots, restaurants and hotels all over town. One of those places, The Georgian Hotel in nearby Santa Monica, now advertises the couple had trysts there often.
“This is nothing discreet about this car,” Mr. Gooding said as he pulled up in the glowing Duesenberg, in front of The Georgian. Not exactly the type of car for two famous stars to be seen in – when they are trying to downplay their affair!
. The car fairly screams “notice me!”. Even now the Duesenberg, which appeared in a couple of actual movies of its own, is a show-stopper.
“The record for an American car sold at public auction is $10.34 million, for a Duesenberg – the 1931 Whittell Coupe – which we sold last year,” Mr. Gooding said. “In many ways, however Gable’s 1935 JN is an even finer example.” It is undeniably rare; fewer than a dozen JNs were built – only four of which were convertibles. But no other Duesenberg is like this one. (I will update this post Aug. 19 with the sales price!)
And, then there is the consideration of its celebrity provenance. “I’ve never seen a car with a history behind it like this one,” Mr. Gooding said.
Its 420-cubic-inch straight-8 pulled like a train; it was reputed to have a 115-m.p.h. top speed – “right off the showroom floor,” Mr. Gooding said. It could exceed 100 m.p.h. in the second of its three gears, boasted E. L. Cord, the company’s president at the time. Its wheelbase of nearly 12 feet gives the car a poised, unflappable ride. And its massive steering wheel guides the wheels straight and true – although its vacuum assisted drum brakes provide the car somewhat uncertain stopping power.
A work of automotive art!
Of course, that has often been said about many great works of art – sculptures, paintings, and the like – but seldom about automobiles. Many collectors, however, consider the 18-foot-long Duesenberg, with its flamboyant, following lines, the epitome of automotive art.
The Model JN that Mr. Gable bought originally had a body by Rollston. Mr. Gooding noted, “It was a work of art already.” But Mr. Gable decided it wasn’t audacious enough for his tastes.
So he took it to master coachbuilders Bohman & Schwartz, in Pasadena, Calif., for a complete re-working. And besides, the convertible top leaked – which Miss Lombard reportedly thought amusing; Mr. Gable, however, was mortified.
Clark Gable shows off his beloved Duesenberg!
“Not only did Gable sketch out many of the changes he wanted himself,” Mr. Gooding said. “He also got hands-on with it, and worked on it himself. I don’t recall an example where a celebrity got so involved, and essentially helped craft the car.”
The modifications included body-colored radiator cowl and headlamp pods, raked windshield, extended hood with custom air scoops, re-location of the side-mounted spares to a double-deck “continental kit” at the rear, rear fender skirts, chrome side pipe exhausts (with a driver-controlled bypass lever), functional rumble seat, and a stowable convertible top – that no longer leaked!
It was also re-painted from a pale green to a luminous cream color that seems to glow – apropos of any star of stage, screen or even outer space.
Despite the fact Mr. Gable owned a large, discerning collection of other Duesenbergs, Packards, and Mercedes-Benzes, the JN remained the preferred ride of the inseparable lovers.
So public was their romance that Photoplay magazine ran a feature in December 1938 out-ing them as one of “Hollywood’s Unmarried Husbands and Wives.” Mr. Gable had also been linked in recent years with Joan Crawford, Jean Harlow and Loretta Young (with whom he fathered a love child) – among others. Producer David O. Selznick was ready to cast Gary Cooper as Rhett Butler in “Gone With The Wind” unless Mr. Gable cleaned up his personal life. So the studio reportedly helped pay for Mr. Gable’s costly divorce from heiress Ria Langham; he got the part. The rest, as they say, is history.
Gable got the part!
Mr. Gable and Miss Lombard (who lost out in casting for Scarlett O’Hara) eloped in March 1939. In 1941 the happy couple set off in the Duesenberg on an epic vacation – sort of a belated honeymoon – from their ranch in Encino, Calif., up the Pacific Coast to Vancouver, British Columbia. The trip was nearly 1,500 miles, on primitive roads.
It must have been quite a sight: two of Hollywood’s biggest stars pumping their own gas, fixing their own flats, even changing their own oil – the Gables didn’t want anyone else touching this car! – in a car easily worth $35,000 then (Mr. Gable made more than that in one month, in salary, in those years – and Miss Lombard made nearly as much).
“This was at a time you could buy a Ford for a few hundred dollars,” Mr. Gooding noted.
In Vancouver, the couple would see the Duesenberg for the final time. They stored it there, planning to return the next summer to drive it back to California. They took the train home.
Some months later, however, Miss Lombard was killed in a plane crash near Las Vegas, Nev. Gable, devastated, instructed an agent to sell the beloved Duesenberg – with the proviso that he never would see it again. He never did; he died in 1960.
The Duesenberg became a four-wheeled vagabond, crisscrossing the country, changing hands more than a dozen times. It was re-painted at least four different colors. Its engine was replaced in the 1950s. Parts went missing.
But the current owner, Mr. Gooding said, acquired it in 2006 and ordered a no-expense-spared restoration to its Gable-era glory.

I got bored so I looked around on ACON3D to see if I could find any of the models LO uses and yes I did find most of them but omg the courthouse set they used for the end of the trial arc is 60 us dollars??? which would be 100 dollars in NZ currency. it's called "Fantasy Supreme Court and Prison Set" if you want to look it up for yourself. the modern court sets she used earlier in the arc in comparison are around 11 - 20 dollars which are also on ACON3D
did she change the setting and costumes out of nowhere just to justify spending that much money on a model she should have gotten earlier LOL I wouldn't put it past her
NOOO YOU'RE SO RIGHT THO ANON LOL
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think this just once again goes to show how inefficient Rachel's workflow is, that she's buying these $60+ models (after converting to NZ it's like $100) only to paint them with washed out gradients and then never use them again.
Not to mention, this is literally just some generic fantasy set, I know we should have suspension of disbelief when it comes to the modern setting of LO (obviously the gods also didn't have cars or cellphones) but like, the environment being so generic goes to show no thought went into it as a Greek setting. The Greeks and Romans literally invented the forum-
Tumblr media
like?? what a missed opportunity to show off culturally relevant history through the architecture???
idk I'm probably being nitpicky but like. it just bugs me how you can literally switch out the characters in LO with normal people and it barely changes anything. what's the point of writing a comic that describes itself as "what the gods do after dark" if they have all of the things that make them GREEK GODS stripped from them?

Speed-Running the End of the World
We live in capitalism, its power seems inescapable — but then, so did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art. Very often in our art, the art of words. ~Ursula Le Guin
Tumblr media
Some things make you stop and think.
This quote Bernard Hickey highlighted this morning from Rachel Donald’s piece Letting Go In A Crisis gave me pause for thought. I’m still thinking about it.
Tumblr media
My first reaction was simply that the end of the world seems more likely right now. Nine countries possess nuclear weapons and nearly all of them are mad at each other. Global warming is proceeding at a rapid pace. Billionaires are building rockets and self-driving cars when history and their own actions would indicate that billionaires often become billionaires by cutting important and necessary corners that can backfire in spectacular ways. In fact, for this particular billionaire, he has explicitly stated that these casualties are all part of his calculations and are in fact necessary for the greater good.
But I think this over-complicates it.
There have been several points in time where someone has sat in front of a button that, when pressed, came with the not-insignificant likelihood that it would destroy the world. And someone has pressed the button every time.
Yet we’ve never come anywhere near that close to overthrowing capitalism.
Tumblr media
Some things make you stop and think.
Sentences or artworks or ideas or understandings that lead to a shift in mentality or perspective.
Understanding capitalism and understanding politics often feels like a never-ending series of these realisations. More often not, it seems, the realisation is a bad one. Earth-shaking knowledge is exhausting to experience on repeat, and no matter how attentive and world-weary you are, there’s somehow still always another shitty thing around the corner.
Where were you when you learned about ATLAS and its influence in New Zealand?
ATLAS was not news to me when word of their movements in New Zealand started to spread. I was already familiar with them from their influence overseas. They aren’t unknown entirely, but you generally have to be quite politically savvy to have heard of them or be at all familiar with the extent of their influence. Talking about them, especially in a post-Trump world, makes you sound a little bit conspiracist. When everyone is worried about shadowy organisations controlling and influencing your media, politics, legislation, corporatism… well, your particular concerns start to blend into the background.
Tumblr media
But this type of thinking was a trap. I never stopped to consider that ATLAS could be resisted here when other countries had failed. Not until I saw someone else do it first.
If you don’t already follow Mountain Tui, who somehow has become the default anti-ATLAS voice at first on reddit and now on substack, this is your signal to do so. Yesterday they posted about how ATLAS has already brought the kiwi edition of project 2025 to our shores, and while it won’t be news for anyone who follows the subject, it’s a good overview of where we are and how we came to be here. But it makes for a bleak prognosis, and reading about ATLAS’s goals and how well they’re being effected by our government right now can make it feel like there’s little to be done.
Mountain Tui posting about ATLAS reminds me that already more people know of this right-wing think tank network than I ever dreamt was possible when reading about their first forays into NZ. Indeed, the right initially rushed to paint it as a conspiracy and make out that Tui was crazy for believing it so ardently. They made memes about it. (Unfortunately Tui deleted their account so most of their posts were lost, but there are still threads on r/conservativekiwi dismissing Atlas as the same as unions and the like).
That time was a weird mashup of political discourse, subreddit drama, left-right trash-talking, and what I still believe to be some amount of genuine political interference from the right. But the lesson I cling to overall is that sometimes it really does just take one person who won’t shut up.
That’s a strategy that’s worked very well for conspiracists recently, but it’s worth noting that the same is true in reverse. When people talk about things, when they make a lot of noise and refuse to let injustices happen unnoticed, change can be effected. And a huge part of that push for change comes from that continued awareness of and vocal objection to these objectionable things.
New Zealand has a long history of political activism. That’s part of why AUKUS is so controversial. It harks back to another previously tense time in domestic and international politics, when left fought furiously against right over racial politics and our nuclear free status, and Robert Muldoon’s nightmare of a government was ended by snap election when Marilyn Waring crossed the floor.
We seem to always be slightly out of step with the rest of the world, a beat behind if you will, though still marching obediently to the international tune. But despite that, we do still manage to carve out a place for ourselves, to plant our flag in the sand and say, “Actually, we say differently.” From giving women the vote to the nuclear free movement to the smoking ban we ourselves are repealing (but not after other countries have begun adopting it too), New Zealand is the global example that one small island nation can stand, arms crossed, and say “No.”
Tumblr media
Some things make you stop and think. The stories of J Robert Oppenheimer was one of these things for me, long before its silver screen retelling last year. His belief that a nuclear bomb was inevitable, and my belief that he was right, is the sort of shift in perspective that shapes how you see the world.
Oppenheimer is just one of those many men who has pressed one of those many buttons that could have ended the world in a blink. Luckily for us, it didn’t. And luckily for us, ever since then, people like Marilyn Waring and Oppenheimer himself have worked to make it so the world has a few less of those buttons, and a few less of those situations that lead to those buttons being pressed.
Tumblr media
Two men who built the buttons.
I am no longer certain that human beings are a good judge of what is inevitable.
Some things make you stop and think.
We must repeat those things until we’re all thinking.

yo ho hello. under the cut is a little explanation of my absence from here and what's been going on with me (fun times)
my mental health hit a downward spiral mid/late last year and it hit it hard. it's the worst my depression has been in a long, long time. it got to the point where i couldn't feel things properly, the only thing i could feel is sadness and the only thing i could do is cry even when i didn't know why. but over the last month or so it's slowly been getting better, music has been helping again and i can actually laugh now. if that's not progress i don't know what is.
last november i was in a car accident, it wasn't super bad. the car was a write off but no one was seriously hurt. i had a wicked concussion for two weeks, and i'm still dealing with anxiety whenever i'm in a car (to be expected after you've been hit by an asshole who was in your lane instead of theirs, and hidden by one of the many corners on the way home).
there's been a lot of ups and downs over the last few months, or year really. i've had to say goodbye to a few relationships i never thought i would, and one that should've been a strong one but never really existed at all. i'm still dealing with ongoing neighbour drama too, which has been the cherry on top. i'm also trying to find a new job because shit has nonstop been hitting the fan in the hell hole i work at for months now, i've been there over eight and a half years and while it's definitely been a rollercoaster over that time, this is the worst it's ever been (if you live in nz/aus... try not to shop at cuntdown/woolworth$ challenge).
i'm hoping to slowly get back into writing, most likely this week. it might be a little slow because i'm in the long process of doing my house up (i've still got two bedrooms and the laundry to paint before i can get the flooring and bathroom done). slow and steady wins the race, so i'll be balancing that/general life and writing.
in saying that, if i reply to a thread we have and you aren't feeling it anymore, absolutely feel free not to reply! it's been a long time so it's more than fair enough tbh, i get it!
here's to a year of better activity, i'm looking forward to being on the dash again 🌈

PART ONE: Eating two slices of ice cream cake with James Murphy
(04/11/2022) (Solar Institute Bulletin No. 19) (From New York)
Tumblr media
If elegance is arriving somewhere without a commute story, then in the newslettersphere, elegance is starting your letter with anything BUT an apology for its lateness. I’ve owed you a letter for ages now, and one hasn’t come. For that, I’m sorry!!! Since the summer I’ve felt the weeks spinning through my fingers like fine thread. Airports, shows, cars, bursts of loneliness and melancholy, moments of sun. They might as well pay me in jet fuel, I’ve been on so many fucking planes this year (if you’re looking for a saviour, ETC); haven’t been in one place for more than two weeks since… July, I guess, not that that’s any sort of excuse, but things just kept happening and the list of things to tell you about kept getting longer until it was overwhelming, and so it goes. As Rachel Cusk says, one has to serve out one’s changes moderately, like strong wine. By that logic, I’ve been drunk for months, and with that state comes ups and downs — intense jonesing for home and family, a struggle at times to resource myself, feelings of inadequacy, of longing and loss. A couple times I’ve been backstage doing vocal warmups before a show thinking, What the fuck can I offer these people right now, when I myself feel as loose and spare as a tooth or a tyre? So finally today, sitting in a basement with bleach disciplining my scalp, I thought — today’s the day I’m gonna write to you. And for your troubles — TWO PARTS TO THIS BAD BOY. For all things tour — recent pics, updates on upcoming shows, et al, see part two. Between drinks, it has been an intense period of what I’d call research — not writing songs as such, but reading, conceptualising, writing a ton of stuff down, laying the foundation of… something. I’m feeling excited and challenged. A little nervous. Teeth in my shoulder.

Have felt your love in general, these past couple months. All year, of course, but special moments keep coming sweet and bright — touching a tattoo in the rain, or my mum sending a photo of a freshie in the supermarket. Running into people who were at Radio City, hearing about everyone’s different nights — my waiter being accidentally on mushrooms there, a sweet boy in the grocery store who went by himself. And then, holy shit, the intense, overwhelming outpouring of love that was Mexico. I’m still riding high on what a warm welcome we got, how sweet and dedicated you all are, what finally being able to hug you and not let go for ten seconds felt like. I did get a terrible cold, but it was worth it.

Have written the story of my 72 hours in Milano and where I went after as an Institute dispatch, FYI. What’s been going on with me? This podcast episode. Remember this from last year? Going to see said painting at MoMa, having mind blown. Finally going to Tiny Doll House (AS A NEW YORK ACTIVITY I REALLY. CAN’T. RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH). Seeing Dev play in the round. Thinking about work that feels open enough to contain different stories and meanings. Sitting in the sunshine talking about hearing One Dance for the first time. Watermelon 5 gum (A DERANGED AIRPORT PURCHASE THAT I’M LOVING… XYLITOL CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE’S BEEN OUT OF NZ TOO LONG!!). Finally read Essential Labor By Angela Garbes and it blew my damn brains out. Loving Cusk, halfway through Second Place. Natasha Brown’s Assembly and David Milch’s Life’s Work waiting in the wings. Read Natalia Ginzburg’s Voices in the Evening on a beach in Greece. Always so fascinating to me as I get older and realise that the books I’m gravitating towards are a little bit like my browser search history, getting at the questions I’m asking. Domesticity, family, parenting… paging Dr. Freudette! This conversation between Hilton Als and Terrence Hayes in the Paris Review is one of the most gagging interviews I’ve ever read. The podcast POOG, which I’m late to discovering but completely obsessed with. Like the rest of New York, Kate has me in a chokehold. “As she banters about skin care, you get the sense that her refusal to play herself onstage is part of a larger personal preoccupation with the ways that the coherent “self” is always a doomed project.” (Shades of Cusk???) Gonna buy these Kari Māori cards for Christmas presents this year. This newsletter took so damn long I missed Mahuru Māori, but I consumed a ton of really thoughtful work by a variety of creators during that month, a highlight being this podcast episode reflecting on the 50 year anniversary of the Maori language petition being delivered to Parliament, and the future of reo in our country. Haven’t seen Tár yet but it’s on my list. LOVED Corsage. Wanted to like Triangle of Sadness more than I did, although it was fun in the room. Watching the movement in Iran with my heart in my mouth. I cannot believe the bravery of these women. FUCK YOU BOLSONARO AND GOOD RIDDANCE.
Tumblr media
Leaving you with two quotes, that could be applied to making stuff, or just to living your life. “First you hate something, then you investigate why you hate something. That is exciting — and for creative people, to be excited is the only way.” From Mrs. Prada. And this, such a classic, from Kris Kristofferson upon hearing Blue for the first time: “‘Jesus, Joni,’ he said. ‘Save something for yourself.’” No. Shan’t. Throbbing with love for you. PART TWO INCOMING! E

Whether you're looking to keep your garden lush, clean your car, or engage in some epic water fights, choosing the right tool can make all the difference. Let's break down the pros and cons of each and see who comes out on top!
Efficiency and Performance
When it comes to efficiency, waterblasters nz are the clear winners. These powerful tools are designed to deliver high-pressure streams of water, making quick work of even the toughest dirt and grime. Whether you're blasting away mud from your driveway or cleaning your patio furniture, waterblasters get the job done in a fraction of the time it would take with a traditional hose.
Traditional hoses, on the other hand, often lack the pressure needed for heavy-duty cleaning tasks. While they can be effective for watering plants and light rinsing, their lower pressure means more time and effort are required for tougher jobs. If you're looking for speed and power, waterblasters are the way to go.
Water Usage and Conservation
Water conservation is a hot topic these days, and rightly so. Here, traditional hoses have a slight edge. Waterblasters, by their very nature, use more water per minute due to their high-pressure output. However, they often compensate for this by getting the job done faster, which can lead to less overall water usage in some cases.
Traditional hoses tend to use less water per minute, making them a more conservative choice for daily garden watering or light cleaning. If you’re mindful of your water consumption, a traditional hose might be more up your alley. But remember, the speed and efficiency of waterblasters can sometimes offset their higher water flow.
Versatility and Convenience
When it comes to versatility, traditional hoses have a broader range of applications. From watering the garden to washing the car or filling up the kiddie pool, hoses are the Swiss Army knives of outdoor tools. They’re lightweight, easy to maneuver, and compatible with a variety of nozzles and attachments.
Waterblasters, while incredibly powerful, are often bulkier and require more setup. They’re fantastic for specific tasks like deep cleaning surfaces, stripping paint, or even clearing out gutters, but they might be overkill for everyday tasks. If you’re someone who needs a versatile tool for a variety of outdoor chores, a traditional hose might be more convenient. However, for those who frequently tackle tough cleaning jobs, waterblasters are indispensable.
Cost and Maintenance
Budget is always a consideration, and here, traditional hoses typically come out on top. They are generally cheaper upfront and require minimal maintenance. A good quality hose can last for years with proper care, making it a cost-effective option for most households.
Waterblasters, while more expensive initially, offer significant value in terms of time and labor saved on heavy-duty tasks. They do require more maintenance to keep them running smoothly, such as regular cleaning of nozzles and ensuring hoses are free of blockages. If you’re willing to invest a bit more money and effort upfront, the long-term benefits of waterblasters NZ can be well worth it.
Tumblr media
Fun Factor
Last but not least, let’s talk about the fun factor! There’s something undeniably thrilling about wielding a waterblaster. The sheer power and precision make it feel like you’re handling a high-tech gadget. They can turn mundane cleaning tasks into satisfying projects and are especially fun for water fights – just make sure everyone agrees to the rules beforehand!
Traditional hoses, while not as flashy, have their own charm. They’re perfect for a gentle spray on a hot day, for filling up water balloons, or for a laid-back water fight with the kids. They’re the nostalgic choice, evoking memories of simpler summer days.
Conclusion
In the battle of waterblasters vs. traditional hoses, the winner depends on your specific needs and preferences. If you need power, efficiency, and enjoy a bit of high-tech fun, waterblasters NZ are your best bet. For versatility, lower cost, and ease of use, traditional hoses remain a reliable choice.
Whether you choose a waterblaster or a traditional hose, both tools have their unique strengths. So, assess your needs, consider your budget, and get ready to make your outdoor chores more enjoyable and efficient.

A Guide to Achieving a Stunning Candy Red finish for cars
Candy red paint is a popular choice for car enthusiasts looking to make their vehicle stand out from the crowd. This type of paint is known for its deep, rich color and high-gloss finish that can add a touch of glamour and luxury to any car. Whether you're looking to give your car a fresh new look or simply want to make a statement on the road, candy red paint is a great option to consider.
The process of applying candy red paint to a car is a bit more involved than simply applying regular paint. This is because candy red paint is a two-step process that requires the use of a base coat and a clear coat. The base coat is the color of the paint, while the clear coat provides the shine and protection.
Step 1: Preparing the Car
Before you start the painting process, it's important to properly prepare the car. This includes cleaning the surface of the car, removing any rust, and sanding down any rough spots. You should also mask off any areas you don't want to paint, such as the windows, trim, and lights.
Step 2: Applying the Base Coat
Once the car is prepared, you can start applying the base coat of candy red paint. This should be done in a well-ventilated area, as the fumes from the paint can be toxic. You should use a paint gun and apply several light coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next. You should also be careful not to apply too much paint at once, as this can cause drips and runs.
Step 3: Applying the Clear Coat
Once the base coat has dried, you can apply the clear coat. This should be done in the same manner as the base coat, with light coats being applied and each one being allowed to dry before applying the next. The clear coat will provide the high-gloss finish and protection for the paint.
Step 4: Final Steps
After the clear coat has dried, you should allow the paint to cure for several days before driving the car or washing it. During this time, the paint will harden and become more durable.
Choosing the Right Candy Red Paint for Your Car
When it comes to choosing the right Candy Red Paint For Cars, there are a few things to consider. First, you should choose a paint that is compatible with your car's make and model. This will ensure that the color will look as it should and will last for a long time.
Second, you should choose a paint that is of high quality. High-quality paint will provide a better finish and will be more durable, which will help protect your car from damage.
Finally, you should choose a paint that is easy to apply. Some candy red paints are easier to apply than others, so you should choose one that will be easy for you to use.
Conclusion
Candy Apple Red Paint is a great way to give your car a stunning new look. Whether you're looking to make a statement on the road or simply want to update your car's appearance, candy red paint is a great option to consider. By following these steps and choosing the right paint, you can achieve a high-quality finish that will last for years to come.

Why Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Is A Must-Have For Vehicle Owners?
Mechanical breakdown insurance is a must-have for vehicle owners. It can protect your vehicle from sudden mechanical breakdowns, which can cause financial losses and inconvenience. This article explains how it works and what benefits you get from this plan.
Safe Keeping of Your Vehicle
Safeguarding your vehicle from theft is a top priority. If your car gets stolen, it's likely that you will be left without a mode of transportation and have to pay for all expenses that come with buying another vehicle.
Protecting against vandalism will help prevent damage to your car's paint job and interior, which can be costly if not properly covered by mechanical breakdown insurance nz.
Fire and storm damage are two other common causes of mechanical breakdowns that can result in costly repairs or even total loss of property (if they cause enough damage).
Accidents happen unexpectedly; therefore it is important that you have adequate protection against accidents so as not to be financially burdened when they occur.
Helps to Save Money on Repairs
Mechanical breakdown insurance covers the cost of repairs. This includes both third-party and self-repairs. It also covers the cost of parts and labor, so you don't have to worry about getting ripped off by mechanics who take advantage of your situation.
If you're unlucky enough to need mechanical breakdown insurance and end up having a car crash, this coverage will still apply if your vehicle is damaged during an accident that wasn't caused by you - for example, if someone rear-ends your car while it's parked (as long as there's no negligence involved).
Tumblr media
Protection from Loss of Use
Mechanical breakdown insurance provides a replacement vehicle while yours is being repaired. It also provides a rental car while yours is being repaired, and sometimes it even provides a taxi service to get you to work or school.
Mechanical breakdown insurance will pay for:
A replacement vehicle if your car breaks down and cannot be fixed within the first 24 hours of the breakdown (and some policies will even cover more than one day).
Rental cars when repairs are expected to take longer than 48 hours.
Taxi transportation costs if there's no public transportation available in your area and getting around without a working car would cause significant inconvenience or expense for you
Peace of Mind for the Driver
The mechanical breakdown insurance nz covers the cost of repairs and replacement parts. This means that you don't have to worry about the cost of getting your vehicle back on the road again, which can be a huge relief for many drivers.
In addition to peace of mind, this form of protection also allows you to get back on with your daily routine quickly and easily. You'll no longer have to spend time worrying about what might happen if something goes wrong with your car or how much money it will take out of your budget if repairs are needed.
Conclusion
We hope that you now have a better understanding of why mechanical breakdown insurance is a must-have for vehicle owners. This coverage protects against unexpected repairs and costs and can save you thousands of dollars over the years.
