As someone who actually likes Owen, I really love the concept of him going back to New York as the new fire chief. I love these two’s conversation about how he was there to comfort all of the kids of the ones who didn’t make it from 9/11, how they all grew up to be legacies and how they need him now. I think the story here is very beautiful. 

When she said, “I grew up with a picture of you above my fireplace.” and “I don’t have a video of my father, but I do have one of you.” 😭

(watching lone star after watching 911) the comparison of owen + tk/carlos and bobby + buck/eddie:

biology does not matter in this case bobby and buck are related because i said so (and so did everyone else tbh)

I think out of the entire cast, the actors that play Captain Strand and Michelle Blake are two of the most famous (Rob Lowe is Rob Lowe and I don't know who Liv Tyler is exactly but I her face looks familiar and her acting gives her away) but it's unfortunate they overshadow everyone else.

It's only one season of course and they usually make do with one big plotline, I just wish TK's substance abuse or Marjan's relationship with her mosque was not just pushed back for episodes and episodes

Ok, first I would like to say that I actually really liked Michelle. She had a simple story but I just mostly liked her in general.

I totally thought her and Owen would eventually get together, kinda sad they didn’t but probably for the best with Owen’s relationship track record.

But I really liked their conversations, especially their last one when Owen said-

“Keep the door open, keep the light on. Love her the best way you can.”

Which is advice that I have fell back on several times in my life.

The second fic idea is a what-if scenerio where Jimmy dies in the crash due to and altercation with Curly and how Curly would navigate being Captain once he has to notice the little things and how he and Anya's relationship develop as he adopts an identical view point to hers rather than just keeping the peace.

And maybe i will write it but only time will tell tbh but it's stuck in my brain dome for the time being.
