Fraggle Rock is great because it has really funny episodes but rarely it'll pull out a completely serious, genuinely intense, realistic problem played completely straight and remind you of the horrific reality you live in, making you contemplate the nature of man and life itself, and then you go back to laughing at the silly puppets next episode

(star trek fans please read the end you don’t need to listen to me rambling if you don’t want to)
i have a very mutual love for star trek. i’d never seen an episode until this year, my dad got into the routine of getting home from work, watching TBBT from ~5pm - 8pm, and then switching over to watch 2-3 episodes of star trek.
and he does this every. single. day. (guess where i got my autism from)
but i watch with him when im there, we play billiards against eachother on the ds, and he calls my nan at 8pm every night unless hes seeing her the next day. i didnt pay much attention at first because things like star trek and star wars never interested me much, and they still dont, but he likes them and it makes me happy that i actually kinda like watching with him
