This still feels surreal to me. I had the opportunity to meet the one an only IMAN VELLANI aka real life Ms Marvel. ⚡️
She was literally the nicest person I've ever met. She absolutely loved the drawing I gave her (and even said she was gonna hang it on her wall😭) and she completely obsessed over the picture of my New Mutant cosplay I showed her!!!
For those who don't know I had a house fire and I was unable to wear it to meet her but someday hopefully I'll meet her again and get to show her in person!!!

A continuation of this post:
There is a teenager in the Watchtower.
Scratch that, there is a teenager that Bruce doesn't know in the Watchtower. The boy, maybe around Tim's age, is wearing worn blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a pair of tennis shoes that had seen better days.
He is wearing no mask, no suit of armor, with no weapons on him. He's just sitting in one of the seats in their larger meeting room, quite literally twiddling his thumbs. He hadn't noticed Batman standing in the doorway.
Behind him, he heard Clark coming round the corner, Bruce lifted up a gloved hand which made the man stop.
"What is it, Bats?"
Bruce sent the man a look before motioning to the boy, who had definitely noticed them now.
He waved at them.
"Who is that? Don't you normally require all your new kids wear costumes up here?" Clark asked.
"Unknown." Bruce said before giving his friend a look. "He's not mine."
Why does everyone assume it's his kid? Just because this boy has dark hair and blue eyes does not mean he belongs to Bruce. Clark has nearly the same looks as Bruce, and he had two kids, why couldn't this one be one of his?
"He's not mine either!" Clark said before frowning. "Not that I know of."
Bruce lifted up an eyebrow, knowing his friend could see it beneath his cowl. Clark rolled his eyes.
"Let's be honest if he was one of mine, you would know before I would."
Bruce grunted and turned back to the teenager. The kid was clearly listening in on them while looking away from them. Bruce watched as he tapped on the table in front of him, making little staccato noises of anxiety.
"Why are we waiting out here?" Barry asked, appearing right in a blur of red and yellow right as he did. Clark pointed at the unknown in the meeting room. Barry grinned widely beneath his own cowl, making the rubbery material crinkle.
"Batsy! Another one? You sly dog, where'd you find this one?"
"He's not mine." Bruce growled, Barry actually froze for a moment, shock slowing him down to normal speed for a moment.
"Nice joke, Bats. If he's not yours, then whose is he?"
Bruce clenched his jaw, Barry looked between the two of them, head flipping rapidly until he realized it wasn't a joke. In the corner of his eye, he could see that the unknown was openly staring at them with a smile forming on his face.
"We are in space." Barry hissed. "How'd a random kid get in here?"
"Excuse me?"
Behind the three hero pile up, Arthur arrived. The King looked less than pleased at having his way impeded.
"I come to these bi-monthly meetings due to their importance. I have an entire kingdom to manage, so if we could all move?"
"Bats has a new kid!" Barry nearly shouted.
"He's not mine!" Bruce growled while Arthur looked up and over Barry to see the unknown.
"Do we have a security breach?" Arthur asked.
"He's not yours yet!" Barry said at the same time, lifting up a finger and pointing it right at Bruce's face.
"We don't know who it is or how they got here." Clark said. "He doesn't seem hostile."
"Appearances can be deceiving, Superman." Arthur said , pursing his lips. Bruce turned to see that the boy had now waved in greeting at Arthur and Barry. Barry waved back.
"Are we having a hallway party or something?" Captain Marvel asked. "A party sounds waaaay more fun than a meeting, no offense Batman."
"We have an intruder, Captain." Arthur said pointing directly at the kid.
The kid's eyes widened and he looked behind himself before pointing at his own chest in surprise.
"He doesn't seem like an intruder?" Marvel said with a frown. "What if he's lost?"
"The watchtower is a secure facility, people don't get here by accident." Bruce said.
"I dunno, Batman." Marvel shrugged. "We have aliens, magicians, and time travelers on our team. He could be lost."
Bruce refused to admit the genial man had a point, the unknown could be from anywhere or anywhen. From further down the hallway, John and Diana appeared, walking together. Diana was holding a glass filled with one of Barry's chocolate protein shakes. John nodded in greeting at the group.
"We have an intruder Wonder Woman." Arthur said.
Diana looked through the crowd before shaking her head.
"Nonsense. He has permission to be here. Come, we should sit for the meeting."
Diana muscled her way through the crowd, still carrying the glass. She walked directly over to the unknown. The boy perked up, smiling widely as Diana held out the glass for him
"Thanks, i was getting hungry." The boy said before taking a large gulp of the shake, Diana smiled down at the boy, resting her hand in his dark hair.
"Woah. Plot twist." Barry whispered.
"Come on, let's get to the bottom of this." Clark said walking into the room, following the path Diana took.
The rest of the League followed suit, taking their assigned seats around the table. Bruce wasn't surprised to see that the unknown was sitting in an extra chair right next to Diana.
"To start the meeting." Diana said onc everyone was seated. "I do have some news to share."
"Yeah, I sure hope so." Marvel said in that strange, joking tone he used as if he were quoting something, not that Bruce had ever been able to recognize the quotes.
"I would like to introduce the Justice League to my son, Daniel of Themyscira." Diana said, putting her arm around the unknown and squeezing him to her side.
"Hi." Daniel said, waving at the group, his cheeks a bit red.
Immediately, there was an uproar from most everyone in the League. Questions and shouts of confusion, shock, and denial. Diana only allowed the noise for a few moments before she slammed her fist onto the table hard enough to crack it.
"Enough!" She shouted, quickly quelling the group. "I will not allow my decision to bring my son here be questioned."
She glared at them fiercely, still holding Daniel to her side. The boy had ducked down a bit with the shouting but was now looking up at Diana with adoration.
"This entire team, aside from Captain Marvel, has brought their young charges to the League." Diana continued, looking at each of them. "Superman has brought up two Superboys, Aquaman introduced to us Aqualad, Flash has both Impulse and Kid Flash, Martian Manhunter came to us with Miss Martian. I do not believe we even have time to list all of Batman's brood."
Barry had the audacity to snort at Diana's last point. That actually eased the tension and people relaxed. Diana leaned back into her seat.
"I would think that my team of many years would trust my judgment in bringing my son here. I assure you he is well into his training and more than competent. I will allow you all to ask your questions now."
Bruce cleared his throat near silently and spoke up first.
"What does he know?"
Diana didn't look impressed at his question. Daniel looked at her face before frowning at Bruce, clearly following his mother's lead.
"I have spoken at length about the League and how we work together. I assure you that i have not revealed any identities shared in confidence with me." Diana's tone made it clear she was offended that Bruce would accuse her of revealing their identities. He barely kept from wincing.
"Uhm. How did he... come to be?" Clark asked, clearly not wanting to ask any truly intimate details.
"In the way all children do." Diana said, giving Clark a look of his own.
That answer was not very helpful given that Diana was formed from clay by her mother. Had she taken a pottery class when he wasn't looking? Unless the boy was much older than he appeared, there was no way Diana had hidden a pregnancy from them 15 or so years ago.
"Why haven't we heard of him before now?" Arthur asked.
"Daniel was training with Pandora, one of the elders of Themyscira, she sent him here when he learnt all she had to teach. He joined me in the world of man only a few months ago." Diana answered simply.
"Uh. Excuse my ignorance." Barry said in a tone that made it clear he was about to say something very ignorant indeed. "But I thought your family only had women in it?"
This time Daniel answered, looking nervous.
"I'm. I'm trans actually." he answered, while rubbing his arm nervously.
"Which is completely fine and something that will not leave this room." Diana said, her voice comforting towards her son while her eyes promised hellfire to the heroes in the room.
Everyone made noises of agreement until Daniel relaxed, going back to smiling.
"Excuse me Wonder Woman, will Daniel be wanting to join any of the other, younger teams?" Captain Marvel asked, sounding excited at the idea.
Which of course he would, he was still acting Den Mother for Young Justice and loving it.
"That is up to him. For now I would like to keep him to myself for a while longer, but once he is further trained by myself I think it would be a splendid opportunity."
"Yes!" Daniel agreed before clearing his throat. "I mean, that'd be cool or whatever."
"We can discuss it in the future." Bruce allowed, knowing that it would probably happen sooner than Diana would want knowing how both the Teen Titans and Young Justice were. Danny nodded eagerly at that.
"Finish your food." Diana told Daniel before looking back up at the rest of the team. "Are there any more questions?"
"Does Daniel have any health requirements or powers we need to be aware of?" John asked. "Or is his physiology the same as your own?"
"His powers are vastly different from my own. It is one of the reasons Pandora had taken on his training in the beginning." Diana answered easily. "The facilities and resources we have here should work well for him in case of injury."
The knowledge that Daniel's powers were so different from Diana's that she didn't feel comfortable training him herself was worrisome. Amazons, as far as he knew, had relatively similar powersets. Although he had not heard of Pandora before, perhaps she was specialized?
"I do have, what's it called? An enhanced metabolism. Most stuff here doesn't work on me."
"Don't worry son. We have plenty of medications designed with metas in mind." Clark told Danny. "If it works on me and your mom, it willl work for you."
"Cool."
"What all can you do?" Captain Marvel asked.
Daniel turned to look at Diana who nodded. The boy then looked back at them and started listing his powers.
"I can fly. Not as fast as mom's invisible jet but pretty fast. I'm super strong. I can turn invisible and intangible."
"Intangible?" Clark asked.
"It is an ability similar to Martian Manhunter's density shifting." Diana clarified. "The mechanisms are different."
Magical, most likely, instead of John's more science based power. Bruce would have to come up with more contingencies to compensate for that.
"Yeah intangibility is pretty cool." Daniel told them. "Althought when i first got it, it was pretty scary. I kept falling through stuff. I was almost afraid I'd start falling through the whole planet by accident. I totally have it under control now though."
"I would be interested in comparing our abilities, Daniel." John said, nodding his head towards him. The boy beam excitedly.
"Yeah!"
"Not in the Watchtower." Diana warned, voice stern.
Yes, that was probably sensible. Danny agreed with his mother, and John clarified that he would be happy to meet up planetside at their convenience.
"Are those all of your abilities?" Barry asked, Daniel shook his head.
"No there are a bunch more. But I'm not supposed to use them for a while."
"Why?"
"My son is powerful, but he has relied on his powers far too much in the past." Diana said, sounding porud enough to make her son blush. "Right now, I am training his melee abilities, we have agreed to a temporary pause until he has met my standards."
"It's been super tough. Mom's making me practice with her sword all the time." Danny added on.
"My mother will be sending on your own weapon soon." Diana soothed. "Hephestes does not like to be rushed."
"I know mom."
Diana reached up and ruffled her son's hair. Daniel leaned into the affection with a smile.
"Are there any further questions?" Diana asked, when no one had anything immediately she nodded. "Good. Is there any further business? If not, I would like to take my son home for a proper meal."
Everyone looked at each other. Bruce had wanted to discuss some of his findings, but with Diana's reveal, it hardly seemed important any longer. Bruce was going to need to do a lot of research and planning. He wondered if he should get Tim involved or if he should hold off. The League agreed to end the meeting early, Diana stood.
"Come Daniel. We should get to the jet."
Daniel scrambled up and followed his mother out of the meeting room, his worn sneakers squeaking a bit on the flooring. The rest of the League sat in silence for a moment taking in what Diana had told them.
Wonder Woman had a child. A child with powers beyond her own.
Daniel popped back into the room before anyone could speak.
"Gosh, I am sorry I almost forgot. Mr. Batman, I have something for you."
Daniel walked right over to Bruce, who stared at him from underneath the cowl. The boy was not nearly as confident as his mother when it came to his glare. He cringed a bit, but reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny, silver and green flash drive. He placed it on the table and stepped back.
"What is that?"
"Mom told me you like to make contingencies for everyone. In case they go crazy or whatever. So..." The boy motioned to the drive with his hand. "I mean, it'd be weird if i made my own plans, but like, you could do it. That has all my powers and weaknesses and stuff."
Bruce grabbed the flash drive and the boy looked pleased.
"Okay! I gotta go. It was awesome meeting you guys!"
Daniel turned on his heel and ran out of the room. Bruce looked down at the flash drive, doing his best to hide his shock. No one has ever just handed him a list of their weaknesses before.
"I dunno Bats, are you sure he's not yours?" Barry asked.

Bro, You Suck at Disguises
Billy sucks at disguises and the JL really wants to say something about it, but at the same time the disguises somehow work.
Flash, GL, and Marvel: *all hiding in some bushes*
Flash: “All right, so we’re all here- Cap, what the fuck are you wearing?”
Marvel: “What do you mean?” *wearing the mustache and nose glasses*
GL: “He means what the fuck are you wearing? Dude is that your actual disguise?”
Marvel: “Uh… yeah?”
*silence*
Flash: “Bro, go home and change.”
Marvel: “No, my disguise is fine. Look, watch.” *stands up out of the bushes they were hiding in and walks over to the entrance*
GL and Flash: *watch as Marvel says something to the goon and is somehow, they don’t know how, but somehow let in*
Even if Cap’s disguise worked, it was still shit. They chalked it up to Marvel interacting with low level goons, because there’s no way that would fool an actual villain, right? Right…?
Both Barry and Hal later watched as Lex Luther talked straight to Billy’s face about evil plans.
Then there was the time Diana asked him to show up to a UN meeting with her in disguise.
She was greeted with him wearing a button up that not only barely hid his suit, but his lightning bolt was also shining through the fabric. She honestly doesn’t know how he wasn’t found out, but when she heard one of his interactions with an older ambassador…
Old Lady Ambassador: “Where’s that glowing coming from?”
Marvel: “It’s my pacemaker.” *pulled that straight out of his ass*
Old Lady Ambassador: “Oh, I see!”
Wondy: *confusion*
Then there was a time Marvel just put on some glasses, didn’t even bother to put something on over his suit, just glasses. When someone came up to him and asked if this was a “cosplay”, Billy just said yes and ran with it. After all, the real Captain Marvel doesn’t wear glasses so he’s obviously a fake.
This was also a joint mission with Superman, so Clark reacts about as well as you would expect.
Marvel: *surrounded by a crowd, all taking photos and talking about how good his “cosplay” is*
Supes: *watching this*
Marvel: *notices him and pushes through the crowd* “Mr. S- er Mr. Clark!” *waves*
Supes: *staring and slowly starts to look offended* “Are you making fun of me?”
Marvel: “What no? What do you mean?”
Supes: “I… never mind.”
Marvel: “No, tell me! Did I do something to make you upset?”
Supes: *sulking because seeing Marvel made him think his own disguise is stupid* “No, you didn’t. Let’s just get the mission over with.”

Part 1
Danny x Cass part 2
The silence is loud in the room. Everyone is staring at Danny with a few glares being straight up hostile. Danny gives the crowd a scan and realizes that the hostile intent comes from 3 figures.
The Batman
Nightwing
Robin
'Huh, that's less than I thought' He thinks to himself. Another figure catches his attention when he sees the guy swiftly typing something on his computer wrists and acting like nothing is happening.
Just as Danny is about to think about how to break this awkwardness, Superman flies to Danny and greets him.
"Errmm, hello. I am Superman. May we know what you mean when you say you are here to help?"
Danny looks confused at that question when his shirt is tugged by Cass. He looks down and Cass climbs his arm and whispers to his ears.
"I have not told them."
Cass then climbs down and happily stands besides Danny holding his hands. Danny can see Batman's mouth twitching at the sight. Danny just smiles wryly but doesn't release her hand.
"I am here to help you deal with Trigon and Darkseid. I have been requested to help all of you by my partner."
Superman looks unsure on what to do next as he looks at Batman for instructions. Superman also realizes that Batman seems to be in a more terrible mood than usual. Not stressed. Not fear. More like agitated and angry.
When he sees Batman not reacting, he turns to Wonder Woman to ask for help. Diana seeing one of her friends in need of help while the other is in another space all together decides to step up and control the situation.
"May I know is it Black Bat that invites you, Mr. Phantom?"
"Danny is fine. And yes, she invites me to help with the crisis. I am also here to meet some of you actually."
"May I know what we could help you with, Danny?"
"Of course. First and foremost, I would like to formally introduce myself. I am Danny Phantom, the High King of the Infinite Realm, the Ancient of Space and the Protector of Balance."
As soon as Danny finishes his introduction, the magical heroes kneel down towards Danny.
"We deeply apologize for not properly greeting you, Your Majesty. We are truly grateful for your offer of help."
Captain Marvel leads as the rest of the heroes become baffled at their act. The rest of the heroes are also about to kneel when Danny speaks.
"Please get up everyone. And please call me Danny. I'm not really here for any official stuff. I only tell all of you my title so that we can skip the whole 'Who are you really?' part"
All the heroes stand back up and this time Danny doesn't let the awkward tension last in the air.
"I'm here today mostly because my partner here asks me for help. And while I am here someone asks me to pass something."
Suddenly, the space between Barry and Danny shortens, bringing Barry right in front of Danny. Danny summons a small parchment and hands it to Barry.
"This is for you Flash. This is a fine because you often mess with time and Time doesn't like it when you do."
Barry slowly takes the parchment and reads it. His eyes go wide but before he is about to protest, Danny shut him up by saying.
"If you are dissatisfied with the punishment, you may go talk to CW himself. I'm only here to pass his punishment to you."
Barry slumps his shoulders and goes back into the crowd. The heroes look concerned at Barry as it looks like he is about to cry.
Wally approaches him from behind and taps his shoulders. Barry turns to Wally with water about to burst out of his eyes.
"What happened? Is the punishment so bad? Can we do anything about it?" Wally asks concerned at the state his mentor is in.
"No. This is all my fault. It's because of the time traveling mess I did before this. Now I need to become a servant to Time or Clockwork in this case for 1000 years."
Wally and the other heroes around look very concerned at the statement because even for some of them, 1000 years is a long time.
"No worries, your punishment will only start after you pass away. And after your sentence is done, you can pass on to whatever afterlife you choose."
A sticky note appears out of thin air right in front of Barry just as he is really about to cry. He holds himself back and reads the sticky note carefully. Wally peeks from the side and also sees the content of the sticky note.
"Oh also, CW says to not mess around with time too much anymore. He says he is kind enough to not count all the time where it is technically not your fault but he did say that if you can bring him Reverse Flash he will lower your sentence."
Barry lit up at Danny's words like he just received a Christmas present. He swore to himself the next time he sees Thawne, that guy is not going anywhere.
All the other heroes look at the pair of Flash and decide to ask(interrogate) them later. Now, there is an interdimensional deity in front of them that may or may not be dating one of them.
"So, Danny. May I know how you can help us?" Diana asks carefully.
"I can help you deal with both Trigon and Darkseid. That's it really."
"Is there any price that we need to pay for your help?"
Diana's question alerts all the heroes as they now remember that the one standing in front of them is not just any other normal guy. He is an interdimensional deity and those things usually take something as payment whenever they are asked with something.
Danny looks thoughtful at the question and suddenly a smirk appears on his face. Cass knows what that smirk means. It usually appears whenever Danny decides to do something he deems funny. And his funny usually means chaos.
Batman stares intensely at Danny. He knows that smirk. That is the same smirk any of his kids do before they cause trouble. (I.e glitter bomb his batmobile and change his ring tone to symphony)
"Hmm, I don't really need anything from any of you. After all, I do wanna show a good impression on my future-in-law."
Pin drop silence. The heroes expected many types of responses from Danny. Some of them are even ready to swear eternal service or even their life. But whatever Danny just says certainly isn't one of them.
The silence is broken as a katana flies at high speed towards Danny.
"How dare you touch my sister?!" Shouted a tiny figure.
Danny catches the katana and puts it inside his treasury. He will enchant it later to give back to Robin. Cass says that Robin loves weapons.
Chaos ensues as Batman and Nightwing hold Robin while the rest of the heroes gossiping loudly. He could also see Spoiler just snickering while waving at them.
He sure loves chaos.

I've seen a few times in Dp x DC fics when Danny is first introduced to the Justice League and meets Captain Marvel, that they both know the other is actually a kid and not an immortal being, but pretends to be old friends so as to not be outed and tricks the JL together.
Now I bring you, neither of them know the other is a kid and both Actually think the other is immortal but still somehow ends up pretending to be besties. How? Time travel.
This is their actual first meeting, but in the future, Danny will time travel back to the past and meet past Champions of Magic. Billy, as the current Champion of Magic, has inherited the knowledge of these meetings, but thinks they happened chronologically = Phantom is immortal. So he use that knowledge to bullshit his way into pretending he's been all those old Champions and greets Danny as an old friend to sell his Old as Shit act before the JL.
Danny in turn doesn't know about those past meetings but he Does know about time travel. So when Captain Marvel greets him like an old friend and start recounting their different meetings throughout history, Danny assumes he's gonna time travel and do all those things one day (accurately). But he's pretending to be immortal, not a time traveling teen, and so has to pretend that he Totally Remembers That One Time In Greece, Yup!
#dpxdc#dp x dc#dp x dc crossover#dp x dc prompt#danny will have to ask cw for more time travel assignments very quickly after this#so he has at least Some of the memories billy has and can hold up his part of the scheme without tipping anyone off that he's a child#and therefore should be in the yj

DC X DP PROMT
Now you've probably seen this too many times than you can count but
Danny phantom and Shazam bullcraping the justice league about being thousands of years old. And them genuinely believing them and going to them for advise
Danny Fenton (aka danny phantom) knew that the moment he stepped into the watchtower's meeting room he was f**ked. Atleast that's what he thought.
He had been working with the justice league for a few months now but had never been properly introduced so when he walked into the room and lay eyes upon the 'eldest' man in the room he knew that he'd have to make a plan, and quickly.
_________________________
Billy Batson (aka Shazam) knew that eventually the jig would be up amd he'd be exposed.
And he felt for certain that the eldrich God who had just walked through the door to the meeting room would be the reason it all went up in flames.
___________________________
They both tried to stall their inevitable meeting, but it was very hard considering that they were expected to interact with each other atleast once since they were both part of the justice league.
So Danny did something stupid, it was a 50/50 chance it would work. When he finally greeted Captain Marvel he immediately dove in for a hug and said "Captain! It has been much too long!"
And Billy being the desperate child he is not wanting to be outed, huged back and exchanged his pleasentries.
An understanding passed between the two when thier eyes met. Please play along

costume party!!
pairing: cassian andor x reader synopsis: you're paired with cassian on a mission for the first time. the two of you try on special outfits for the occasion. warnings: alcohol consumption, fluff, a meddlesome friend word count: 1.4k a/n: the fluff gun shot me y'all. coming up with and describing clothing is hard</3
you were a former actress from coruscant. sick of the corruption, the rebellion eventually found you. and with the rebellion, you found him. cassian andor, a captain that you developed huge crush on. with a stroke of luck, you were put on an assignment with him thanks to your acting experience.
the mission? infiltrate an imperial banquet and gather intelligence. the part you were secretly excited about were the costumes you were going to get! the designer was an old friend of yours from the theater, syla. before the two of you went off on the mission, syla planned a fitting. it was a time for tests, modifications, or to voice any concerns.
a knock came from your door. opening it, your eyes widened in surprise. you saw cassian waiting there.
panic set off inside you. what the hell was he doing here?? you flash him a nervous smile.
"cassian! hi! w-what's up?" you ask nervously. his voice makes you want to swoon.
"i was just coming to get you."
you don't respond.
"for the fitting?" he reminds you. "it was on my way so i figured i'd stop by."
it feels like cold water splashes you in the face. how could you forget?!
"ohhhh, the fitting!! right right, i was just about to head over," you manage out nonchalantly. "let's go then," you say, shutting the door behind you.
awkward silence fills the hallway, the only sounds being the echoes of boots. you try to walk in a way that avoids cassian's eyes. you were certain that if you looked at them, you'd say something incredibly foolish. clearing his throat, he breaks the silence.
"the designer, you know her?" he asks, trying to catch your eyes. they meet for a moment before you flit them downward, pretending to be very interested in the ground.
"yeah, syla. she used to work at the theater back home. my best friend," you say fondly. "her work is amazing. should be on runways really."
cassian smiles. you speak of syla so highly, your warmth seems to melt the ice between you.
"we're in good hands then. that's reassuring," he muses.
"pfffft, good hands? that's an understatement. syla will make you look even more handsome than you usually do," you say confidently.
you stop walking. cassian's eyes widen for a fraction of a second. he tries to push down a laugh but fails. you panic again.
"i'm so sorry, that was inappropriate. please forget that," you try to apologize. but cassian brushes it off, almost glowing at the compliment.
"you don't have to," he chuckles warmly. "really."
your eyes meet his, trying to see if he's just being polite. to your surprise, you can't seem to find a tell that would state otherwise. the door to syla's workshop seemed to appear as a saving grace. you sigh a little in relief, walking inside.
syla's head pops up from her desk. her eyes sparkle mischievously. a suspicious feeling grows in your stomach as you eye her warily.
"welcome!" she envelopes you in a hug and shakes cassian's hand. "i'm so excited for you two to try on your outfits!! here, i have shots," she offers, gesturing to filled glasses.
"where did you get this?" you gawk. cassian snickers. syla shrugs coolly, pushing a rack with two garment bags into focus.
"i got one of the new recruits to smuggle some in for me. some strong outer rim stuff. he was sweating bullets!" she cackled. downing a shot, she unzips the bags to reveal your new attire.
a dark blue dress greets you. silver chains draped the front and a slit ran up the right leg that you guessed would reach your mid thigh. it was gorgeous! you looked at syla in wonder.
"i really don't know how you do it, sy," you marvel. "this is stunning."
cassian takes in your expression, seeing your sparkling eyes. he was curious to see you in it. if syla could garner that reaction out of you, he wondered what he'd be put in...
syla tilts her chin up in pride. "you're too kind, really. but i won't object to more compliments," she jokes. "now cassian, don't worry, i have something marvelous in store for you as well."
another zip and voilà! cassian's costume. it's a matching shade of blue, with a cape and cinched waist. the top dips into a deep v, with an ivory undershirt that makes you frown internally. so much for seeing some of his chest...
you fold your arms and catch syla's eyes. she winks at you. the two of you look at cassian for a reaction. syla clears her throat. cassian snaps out of whatever trance he's in and looks at her.
"ahem, sorry. it looks wonderful. thank you, syla," he says gratefully.
this response appeases syla and she shoves the two of you into separate fitting rooms. before closing the curtain to your room, syla pokes her head in.
"soooo? how do you feel? it's your first mission with him!" she tries to whisper. you shoot her a look.
"sy! a little quieter, please?" you plead. she blinks and a shit-eating grin creeps onto her face.
"awww, don't be nervous! i designed your outfits, so you'll have no choice but to fall in love with each other" she says.
"falling in love isn't the mission," you say flatly, removing your shirt.
"dual functionality, my dear," she singsongs, closing the curtain. "whenever you're ready, you two," she says, taking a seat.
the dress really is stunning, you think to yourself. there's a part of you that doesn't want to come out from the curtain, but the magic of syla's genius pushes you from the fitting room. your hand hesitates before stepping out.
"pass me that shot, sy," you sigh. she laughs, handing you the cold glass through the curtain. you gulp it down, shimmying a little to try and banish your nerves. your hand draws the curtain back.
syla's eyes widen as she takes you in. "wow, i am good," she smirks.
you roll your eyes playfully. "mhmm, very," you smile.
"cassian? you alright in there?" syla calls out. "there's two very pretty women waiting out here for you!"
"just a second!" cassian responds. he fiddles with his cape fastenings and looks at himself in the mirror. an air of confidence fills him. your praises of syla really were true, not that he didn't believe you. he just didn't think he'd look this good. he steps out of the fitting room to a pair of appraising eyes.
you feel your heart stutter when you see him. syla whistles lowly.
"see? what'd i tell you, he looks marvelous. right, y/n?" she waggles her eyebrows at you.
cassian looks at you hopefully, his big, gorgeous brown eyes piercing you.
"you look... wow. i don't think i have words," you say softly. the fucker has you so enthralled you can't even say he looks nice, you wince.
he smirks at your lack of words. "well i do. captivating being one of them," he says as his eyes travel up and down you. "how do you feel in it?"
the level of strength it takes you to not explode is comical. "captivating"... what a word to use. damn you, cass. drawing in a breath, you try and take a moment to really assess how you feel in the clothes.
"hmmm. i feel... strong. striking," you say, straightening your spine. you can't see it, but syla smiles behind her hand.
cassian hums approvingly. "good. we'll need that. the people at these parties love snarky comments. they chip away at you sometimes, it's a power trip. so if you feel strong, then i feel strong too."
you nod in agreement. syla stands and clasps her hands together.
"i'm glad you two feel good in them. you look gorgeous together, you know," she smiles. "but of course, i did design it that way. is there anything that you'd like altered or added?"
"no, this is perfect. thank you, sy, really," you smile.
"i'm good with mine," cassian says, playing with his cape.
"then my work here is done," syla says. "i'll be back in an hour or so, leave you two to discuss things, test out any movement in your new attire. have fun!!"
and with that, syla waltzes out of the room, leaving you and cassian alone. he walks up to you.
"so..." he starts. "your friend is very persistent."
your face slumps into your hands. "oh my god, don't even get me started."
he laughs at that, prying them away gently. "she's funny. but wow, we really do look good together, huh?"
you look in the mirror at the two of you, taking note of how his hand brushes up against yours.
"yeah. we really do."
end note: ASKDJFJ i'm debating a part two for this... lmk if y'all want it. and don't worry my freaks in arms, i will be writing more smut for our lovely captain soon. thanks for reading!! feel free to comment, reblog, or heart it if you liked it:)

Potential script idea for billy batson s radio show segment
The whizz radio intro tones-
Billy Batson then starts speaking through a slightly crackly radio as Fawcett is a city someone lost to time, given its connection to the Rock of Eternity.
---
Welcome to WHIZZ Radio: where we give the latest news, truths, and view in Fawcett City. Brought to you by your host, me, billy Batson.
Starting off with community news, make sure to visit the shrine of Atlas sometime this week with an offering. Cap mentioned that there might be a need for endurance next week, and we should all probably listen. Additional reminder, the festival of Zeus will be happening this Saturday. Stay away from odd looking geese, metal poles and don't fulfill any selfcrearting proficies in a fit of hubris.
Onto traffic!
Main Street and Fifth Avenue are both still under construction from Dr. Sivannas attack and the demon portal last Thursday and Friday. Ms. Marvel and Cap. both played a role in clearing the debris, but there are still major cracks and fissures to Hades. Expect delays.
Now the weather.
Today's forecast includes thick over cast clouds; a good time for summoning souls. Be sure to greet both the living in the dead while going about your day and don't for get that umbrella! There is a slight chance of curses with intermittent showers.
Alright! Time to quickly cover the Capes and Crooks news bulletin. Dr. Sivanna is still missing after his recent bout with Cap. Since he interrupted one of Mercury's races down at the track, no one is quite sure when the Roman god took him. If you happen to see him, please be sure to give Cap a ring to come pick him up.
Keep your eyes peeled for Mr. Mind. The worm escaped prison… again. Holy moly. You'd think they'd make better prisons for him. What is this, the fourth time in two weeks?
*Noise indistinct*
I know, I just figured that out listeners would likely have the same comment. I don't see why I shouldn't point it out of its true
*Indistinct noise again*
Alright! Fine. Moving on from that.
Today's radio broadcast is brought to you by Saturn's candy. Nothing so sweet as a stick of magic you can eat! Try their Caramel cookie candy bars, now with cooked in bloodline curse protect. If your looking for a spot of luck, try their cinnamon apply candy sticks. Saturn's candy. A proud sponsor of WHIZZ Radio!
*Little jingle*
Welcome back to the program. Time for our sister citys segment.
This reporter has just been told by his producers to issue an apology to Black Adam for statements said during this segment of yesterday's broadcast.
*An aside*
Do I have too?
*Indistinct noise*
Fine.
I am. Sorry. For calling you a craized up old fart with too much free time.
There.
Moving on!
Kahndaq currently is continuing negotiations with both the Justice League and the UN to gain a seat at the UN table. Or be allowed in the UN room. While Fawcett recognizes Kahndaq as sovereign, the rest of the world stills sees the country as illegitimate.
Aside from tense meetings, and Black Adam being a kook who keeps coming to mess with Cap due to having a grudge unbecoming of a literal king and ancient man child, Kahndaq is doing fine. The economy is flourishing, despite limited imports and exports due to sanctions. The letters sent by Fawcetts finest and kindest citizens were well received and we should hear back soon if Mercury has anything to do with it.
It's time once again for Billy's opinion of the day.
This week!
Cans and their many used.
Not only do cans offer one of the best ways to have long term storable food, but they also make awesome weapons! We got to see this on Friday when Marvel Jr. and Captain Marvel went toe to toe with demons using a barrage of cans. And the food was still good to eat after the fight!! I love it when things are multi purposed. Now if only they could close the rifts down to Hades…
*Chimes*
Oh! Mercury just dropped a fresh bit of mail! Thank you Mercury! Watch out for old men wandering around. It seems like the Greek and Roman gods are looking to bless and curse some folks today.
Do good, and good will follow.
And keep an eye on the sky for lightning!
This has been Billy Batson, signing off!

Seeking a Father for Saturday ►○◙◄ #2
“Are you sure this is necessary?”
“Absolutely!”
“But I don’t recognize myself in the mirror... I feel like one of the kids who used to tease me in school...”
“Wrong, if you dress with style, nobody is going to bother you.”
Billy tried to undo his styled hair back to its classic natural fall, but Guy stopped him and added even more gel.
Billy just sighed. Defeated, what he did for a double gift and a mountain of sweets...
In addition to his hair, he now had an American football jacket that fit him, luckily in a yellow tone... A Green Lantern t-shirt and some bulky sneakers. Oh, and some red glasses to complete the "style."
It was almost time, and Billy had butterflies in his stomach. He was so nervous that he didn’t want anyone to discover him, but he wanted to go!
“Courage and willpower, Cheeky!”
“Billy.”
“Is that your name, kid?”
“Something like that.”
“Great, because it sounds just like what I’d call my fake son. You can call me whatever you want, kid, just remember it will haunt you forever.”
“I don’t understand...”
“Remember” —Guy placed his fingers behind his ears and a pair of black pointy protrusions came to mind. Right, Batman.
“No fear of success, Cheeky. Remember, stand straight, puff out your chest, and laugh loudly. You’re a Gardner for the next eight hours!”
“I’m Billy...”
“Gardner! Cheeky! Visualize it and go for it!”
“Eat me, mother earth,” his magic common sense was telling him.
The welcome committee was headed by Superman and Wonder Woman, the dream of every kid if you were going to meet your superheroes...
Well, Billy wasn’t going to admit that seeing his companions in his kid form, without the height and confidence of Captain Marvel, made him feel like a fan boy. And no, he wasn’t jumping for joy as he approached the other heroes... Well, maybe he was...
“H-hi!”
Billy awkwardly extended a hand to Superman.
It was exhilarating. This meet and greet was the best thing in his life as Billy!
“Hello, little one. Guy surprised us a lot when he told us you were coming. What’s your name?”
“Billy, sir Superman, sir!” He spoke loudly, not on purpose or because of Guy’s advice, but... he was shaking Superman’s hand as Billy Batson!
No, wait, wait, Billy Gardner, yes, yes, remember to stay in character.
“He’s quite the fan,” Guy started laughing openly, but Billy didn’t blame him...
“I am, sir!”
Superman, cheerful as he was, sat him on his shoulder and carried him to the cafeteria.
“Are you also a fan of Wonder Woman, Billy?”
Diana accompanied them, walking behind along with Guy.
“Of course, Miss Wonder Woman, you are very amazing and powerful!”
The walk to the cafeteria felt so short when Superman put him down. Billy was going to remember this, it was the dream of his life! Billy with the League without repercussions of being handed over to social services!
“Go ahead, Billy, the program will start shortly, you can take whatever you want from the dessert bar.” This time Wonder Woman tried to ruffle his hair, but the gel made it impossible.
“Behave badly, Cheeky!”
Billy didn’t see the disapproving looks they gave Guy, because hearing that he had free pass was the only thing that mattered as he darted towards the goodies. Finally, he could have the feast he had dreamed of. His champion form couldn’t taste, and taking food to his hideout made him feel uncomfortable.
Everything tasted so delicious!
He didn’t stop until the second cake and the third slice of pizza when he noticed sharp eyes on his back. There were only children aged four to ten who were studying him... He supposed it was part of being one of the older ones in the room and, yes, maybe the floating plates around him.
“Are you magical?”
And Billy coughed his spirit out.
“Are you okay?”
He didn’t expect to be confronted so soon by this blond kid...
“N-no... Not that...”
Billy darted towards the door in a desperate attempt to avoid more questions he wasn’t going to answer. He didn’t expect someone with such sharp eyes; a bit of air would give him more ideas... As he supposed, the door wouldn’t open and in his five-minute crisis he practically fried the circuits of the entrance console. It was an accident, his magic occasionally played tricks on him...
But everything went out of control when two blurs shot out of the cafeteria followed by a small legion of superpowered kids...
Did it count as a breakout? Did Billy just cause a breakout?
The sound of Black Canary’s screams in the distance said yes.
And the small champion of magic hoped to grab a juice and sit to wait for his scolding, but two arms grabbed him by surprise...
Was it the blond kid? Were those gelatinous magic arms?!
“Super Sons, attack!”
Someone shouted, and yes, Billy was dragged as the ringleader of the breakout and he wasn’t laughing, just awkwardly enjoying... Well, he was laughing; he had just seen Hawkman unconscious on the ground and Elastic Man tied in a knot. The chaos was unbelievable, yet Billy couldn’t help but find the situation both hilarious and surreal.
Was that Black Canary stuck to the ceiling?
Oh, holy moly! He’s in big trouble...
How much damage could a group of excited and unsupervised kids do?
“So, you are magical?”
“Yes, something like that...”
“Arthur Curry Junior, nice to meet you.”
“Billy B-Gardner, nice to meet you too, Arthur.”

Pin Back In The Grenade
GIF by stars-bean
Valkyrie x Reader
Summary: You come to visit your girlfriend in her office and sense something is off about her.
Word count: 5.7k
Angst with a happy ending.
A/N: Been working on this one for a while now, hope you like it :)
Beta'd by @cordeliasdarling love youuuu <3
Masterlist | AO3
You walk to your girlfriend's office at the end of your work day as you often do, to see if she's ready to go home with you. You enter the room and Valkyrie greets you with a gentle smile before looking back at her desk.
The lack of any verbal acknowledgment is a little odd, perhaps she's working on something very important.
You make your way around her and hug her from behind feeling how tense her muscles are, probably the result of a stressful few weeks, and catch a glimpse of what she's looking at, it's a treaty of sorts, it doesn't seem complicated enough to warrant her behavior, but you don't dwell to much on it. You let go with a loud kiss on her cheek that makes her inevitably grin like an idiot.
You move away to give her space to finish working and go look at her sword collection.
After some time, she signs the document at the bottom of the last page and stands up to store it in her filing cabinet. She walks towards you and you meet her halfway as she pulls you into a tight hug.
An unsettling feeling starts creeping into you when you hear the alarming thumps in her chest as you remain entangled together, "What's wrong, love?"
"Nothing," she mumbles back, doing a poor job of soothing your worries.
"I can feel your heartbeat," you insist, looking her in the eye. She looks back at you for what feels like an eternity.
"We need to break up," she slurs.
You let go and take a step back to get a good look at her, "What?" The confusion in your face is evident.
"We need to break up." This time, it comes out with more security, though that doesn't help you in any way.
"I don't understand, did something happen? Do you not love me anymore?" You feel your body overheating.
She gently holds your hands in an attempt to calm your nerves, "Please don't ask questions."
"Just talk to me, can we be adults about this?" Your voice wavers.
Before Valkyrie can come up with a response, her assistant walks in unannounced, "Your ship is ready, You Majesty." Your eyes go wide in disbelief.
The King's posture straightens immediately, "Thank you," she says to them, "I’m so sorry, Princess, I love you," she whispers at you, placing a kiss to your temple before making a quick exit.
You stand in place unable to process what just happened, "Where's she going?"
"That's above my pay grade," the assistant shrugs.
After a couple of seconds of the events sinking into you, you regain control of your body and decide to chase after Val.
You storm all the way to the garage trying to catch up with her, but when you arrive, her ship has already left. You ask everyone around where she went and nobody seems to be worthy of that information, at least, no one inside the Kingdom.
Before you give up, you return to your now ex girlfriend's office to make a call.
"Captain Marvel's residence, this is Ms Marvel speaking." You are greeted by a strange, impressionable little human.
"Hey," you let out cautiously.
"Hi," she responds in your same tone.
"Where's Captain Marvel?"
"She's unavailable at the moment, is there a message I can pass along for you?"
"Who are you?" you ask, making sure not to sound rude.
"I’m Ms Marvel," she reintroduces herself with pride.
"Ms Marvel who?"
"I’m an associate of Captain Marvel's." You look at her not traumatized face and hear her excited voice, contrasting the deadbeat tone of almost every other agent you've met before.
"How old are you?"
"16 and a half," she grins.
"Are you alone?" Ms Marvel looks around hesitantly, "I’m calling you from Valkyrie's office, there is no way I am a threat to you."
She sighs, "Carol went on a mission that was, quote, 'too dangerous for me,' so she made me stay here."
You mumble an 'okay' in understanding.
"Wait, you're calling from King Valkyrie's office?" She backtracks.
"Yeah."
"Who are you?"
"No one, apparently." You look down to your lap filling her with intrigue, "Can you tell Carol to call me when she gets back, please?"
She nods, "Who do I—?"
"Just tell her to call Val's office, she'll know," you cut her off.
"Alright," an idea pops into her head, "hey, if we're both waiting for Carol, maybe we could wait together? So to speak." At this point she's both bored and now incredibly curious about you.
You figure if you stay on the line you'll see when Carol gets back and you'll get to talk to her sooner, "Sure."
She awkwardly props her feet up on the desk, "So, how do you know King Valkyrie?"
You try your best to be polite to this child, "I was her girlfriend."
"How long?"
"Three years."
"When did it end?"
You look at your watch, "About 20 minutes ago."
She instantly puts her feet down as her lips form a big 'O' shape, "I’m so sorry I asked."
You find her reaction a little amusing, "It's okay, I don't think my brain understands what just happened yet."
"Is that why you called?"
"Yeah," you sigh.
Ms Marvel thinks about it for a moment, "I suppose Carol is a good person to talk to about the whole 'dating royalty' thing."
"And about the whole 'dating Valkyrie' thing," you smirk, hoping to get a reaction out of her.
"What? No way!" she exclaims, proving you successful. You simply hum in response, "No!" She's in shock.
"Very much so."
"Now that's an image I can't unsee." She's being overly dramatic about it.
"You're welcome," you chuckle. You accepted the fact that they made a pretty hot couple a long time ago.
The sound of the ship's door opening catches your attention, "Is that my favorite superhero?" You lean to your side as if you could see through the hologram.
Carol approaches Kamala with curiosity, "Who's calling?"
"Valkyrie's office."
She finally gets close enough to see you, "Hey! Long time no see, where's Val?"
You clear your throat, "I was hoping you knew." Your tone shifts immediately to become smaller.
Carol notices your change in energy, "Kamala, sweetheart, can you give us a moment?" The girl accepts, a little disappointed she's gonna miss out on the tea, so she walks to her room as slowly as possible without being suspicious.
"What's going on?" Carol asks you, concerned.
"I think I just got dumped."
Her brows furl, "What? When?"
"Today." You find it difficult to maintain eye contact.
The Captain sits down where Kamala was, "Did you have a fight? What happened?"
"No, everything was going well, or so I thought," you explain, "earlier I came in, she was acting weird, if I didn't know her better, I might say she was scared. She broke up with me and left, no one knows where."
"I can't believe it, I'm really sorry."
"Do you know where she could have gone?"
She shakes her head, "Last time I talked to her was maybe months ago," she looks at you in deep sympathy, "are you worried she'll do something stupid?"
"It's Val we're talking about, I'd be worried if she wasn't doing something stupid," you weakly snark making Carol snort.
"Are you okay? Do you need anything?"
You take a deep breath, "I think I’m okay, for now. Call me if you hear from her."
"Of course, are you changing your number?" she hesitates.
"I’m not leaving until she kicks me out of here herself, and I have a feeling it's gonna be a while, so…"
Carol fully understands your decision, "Okay, take care of yourself." She hangs up leaving your ears ringing with the white noise of silence.
You drag your feet to Valkyrie's room for the night. As you lay in bed the reality of the day's events finally dawns upon you, and your eyes start filling up with tears.
You have spent many nights like this, you in New Asgard and Val somewhere off in space, the only difference now is the crushing weight threatening to shatter your chest.
Back on her ship, Carol is winding down after her long mission and your call, changing her uniform for more comfortable clothes.
"Why did you lie?" Kamala questions, startling Carol.
"Huh?" Is all The Captain can muster.
"King Valkyrie called like a week ago."
"Did she? I misspoke," Carol looks around suspiciously, "lying is bad."
"You've said that," Kamala groans in return.
You spend the next few days in bed, buried in blankets and drowning in tears. It's probably not the best that you're still in what used to be Val's and your room, but you don't have the strength to move. Val's assistant, Odin bless their heart, has been bringing you meals everyday until you feel well enough to get them yourself.
It seems they're the only person in the entire Kingdom who knows what happened, and they haven't told anyone, judging by the way everyone in the palace still gracefully greets you when they see you.
As the weeks go by The King's impromptu absence starts to show around New Asgard, and not even the council can get a hold of her. It pains you to see how her carelessness has affected the place you've grown to call home, how she so easily abandoned it merely because she didn't want to be with you anymore. It makes you sick to your stomach knowing that people will suffer and it might be considered your fault. You never asked for any of this and there isn't anything you can do about it, now that you have no relation to King Valkyrie.
The following day you receive a call from Carol, "Some new developments, Kamala remembered that we can track Val's ship," you listen intently, trying not to get your hopes up, "but we can't get a signal, which might mean she's too far away."
Your heart drops, "I’m gonna fucking kill her," you mutter under your breath.
"Language!" Carol shouts, gesturing toward Kamala.
"She's allowed to work with an Avenger, but can't say 'fuck'?" you turn to Ms Marvel, "Sounds like you're getting the shorter end of that stick."
"You just said it again!" Carol's voice goes up an octave.
"I can't help it, I’m pissed."
"That's not her fault." Kamala stands awkwardly, watching the scene unfold before her.
"Sorry, Ms Marvel," you grumble.
"You can call me Kamala."
"'Ms Marvel' is fine," you insist.
Carol leans closer to Kamala and whispers, "She's not very warm."
"I can see why Valkyrie likes her."
As much as they are trying to be subtle, they are still right in front of you, "Liked, I believe the word you're looking for is 'liked.' She does no more," you yell in response.
Carol turns to you with a tight lipped smile, "For what it's worth, I don't think that's true."
"Oh yeah? How long after she dumped you did you realize she didn't like you anymore?" You almost feel drunk with anger.
Carol tenses up, she doesn't like your fuck-all attitude, but she's trying to keep her cool and understand you, "First of all, it was mutual and second, my relationship with her was never even close to what you two had. You were good together."
"I know that, that doesn't help me wrap my head around what happened!"
Kamala goes to her room as you and Carol remain silent. You take your phone out to distract yourself, and Carol zones out looking through the window.
After about five minutes, Carol decides it's time to reveal the truth, "I need to tell you something," you look up at her, only half listening, "Val called me a week before she left."
You place your phone down and give her your undivided attention, "What?" It comes out louder than you expect.
"I was gonna tell you, but I wanted to know what was going on first. We talked for a while, longer that usual, mostly about you."
"Me?" You try your best to suppress your emotions and think critically about this.
"Yes, about her possibly marrying you, but she was acting a little off, like she was trying to get me to talk her out of it somehow, looking for excuses, which is a very strange thing to think about when you want to marry someone."
The information feels so surreal to you, also, when did Carol become such an expert? "For a second there I forgot you're married."
She smiles sweetly, "I am."
"Disney princess Carol," you can't help but tease her.
"Do you want me to help you or not?"
"I do, I’m sorry, how is he?" This is the first time you've smiled in a while.
"He's good, thank you." Carol takes your hologram with her as she walks through her ship, "As strange as her departure might have been, she's not really acting out of the ordinary."
You look to the side in confusion, "What do you mean? She never left without telling me where, even if she was gone for long periods, she would always tell me where she was."
"Really?" Carol seems surprised by your words, "It's normal for me to go full months without hearing from her." She finally puts you down on the control panel, "That's her thing, it's what she does, she doesn't want to be tied down—oh my god, I know where she is! I'll come get you in the morning."
Once again she hangs up leaving you to dwell in the uncertainty.
As promised, Carol comes to get you the next day. She doesn't give you enough time for pleasantries before she's rushing you into the ship and taking off.
You had never been in Carol's ship before, it is larger and tidier than Valkyrie's, which says a lot about The King's habits, though this one feels a lot more unstable.
It all makes sense when you peek out a window and can barely make out the stars passing by, "We're going fast."
"We're going far, you might wanna strap in, it's gonna be a bumpy ride," Carol warns you, looking much too calm to your liking, not following her own advice.
You disregard her actions and do as you're told, "Where are we going?"
"The edge of the unknown."
You tense up, "That's not terrifying, where's Ms Marvel?" You try to fight the g-force and look around for her.
"I had to drop her off at home, there is no way I’m bringing her there." Despite her words, Carol remains undisturbed.
You snap your neck in her direction, "But you brought me?"
"Yeah, if Val's there she's not coming back for me."
"So I’m here as bait?"
She brings her hands to her hips as if she was stating the obvious, "Precisely."
You sigh, "I need to get better friends."
"What other friend of yours is gonna help get your wife back?"
"She's not my wife, and also not my girlfriend anymore."
"Eh, but she will be, $100 says you guys will be back together before I drop you off in New Asgard."
You look her in the eye trying to tell if she's joking, but there is no way she's winning, so you accept, "Free money? I’m game."
The way to the mystery destination feels like an eternity, despite the incredible speed you're going. You feel like you've aged three years in the process, and maybe you have.
You arrive at what looks to be a planet sized dumpster, complete with ship scrapes and groups of aliens hunting each other.
You're still recovering physically and mentally from the trip when you notice Carol putting her uniform on, making you immediately concerned, "You're suiting up?"
She glances at you with a teasing smirk on her face, "Relax, I’m trying to make a good impression," she pauses as she waits for the ship's gate to open, "but lock the door and don't open it for anyone."
"Danvers!"
Carol walks to the Grand Arena and requests an audience with the Grandmaster, he gracefully accepts, excited to meet his soon-to-be new acquisition.
He lazily rests on his chair in a room surrounded by his guards, while Carol stands before him, "And who might you be?" he inquires, looking her over.
"I’m Captain Marvel." Carol uses her stoic, commanding hero voice.
"Ooh I like it, what's that? Are you here to fight?"
Carol came prepared for him to try to snatch her for his heinous activities, "I'm friends with Valkyrie."
"Valkyrie who?"
"Sorry, uh, scraper one, four, something," she tries her best to remember the tales Val has told her.
"142? She's my favorite, I always say she's the best!" He looks at the other scrapers in the room who growl at his enthusiasm.
"Good, is she here?"
"Oh, yes, she just came back, and I could not be happier."
Carol feels a sense of pride having successfully figured out where Valkyrie is, "Great." She turns around to leave.
"So you're not here to fight?" The Grandmaster insists.
She fakes a pout, "I wish I could, but I have to go."
He lifts his hand with all his authority, "Guards."
Carol stands tall as her whole body begins to glow, "Are you sure about that?"
The Grandmaster gestures for them to let her through.
You are startled by the ship's door opening and your guard goes up until you see Carol coming in. She doesn't even walk all the way in when she begins talking to you, "Good news and bad news."
"What's the good news?"
"She's here somewhere," she asserts, fully entering her ship.
Your heart skips a beat, but you keep it in check, "And the bad news?"
She hesitates slightly, "She's here somewhere."
It becomes clear to you that you're gonna have to perform a search and rescue on this dubious planet, "Crap."
Carol gives you a sympathetic smile, "Come on, I may have a hunch."
You stop abruptly on your way out, "You're not gonna give me a suit?"
She quickly scans her ship, "You wanna look like Ms Marvel?"
"On second thought, I’m good, thanks."
You get off the ship and follow Carol very closely, you don't wanna die today, and least of all here.
You are navigating the rivers of people, unsure what you're looking for, "How did you learn about this place?"
"Val told me about it, she lived here for a long time before she met Thor."
"How did you know she'd be here?" You instinctively grab her arm when a particularly thick wave of people comes toward you.
"It's where all unloved things come to die," she muses, searching the place ahead with her eyes.
"Die?" You hope you heard her wrong.
"Maybe not die, but hide."
"Unloved?"
Carol finally realizes her poor choice of words, "Right, um, I’m not sure how Val's brain works, it's just, you know, she's not good with emotions." She gestures at you broadly.
You assume you've arrived at your destination when Carol stops in front of a dystopian looking building. Inside, you find a loud bar and see Val in the middle of it, creating a raucous mess. She looks terrible, drunk beyond her senses, almost unrecognizable from the poised and respectable King of New Asgard.
You stay tucked behind Carol as she slowly approaches Valkyrie.
Val turns around and sees her, "Captain! Are you also here to die alone?" she exclaims in her drunken state.
Carol is taken aback by the title replacing her usual nickname, "Val, we're here to take you home."
"Not me, I’m here to slap you in the face." You make your presence known along with your desire for a physical altercation.
"Princess." She has a huge shit eating grin on her face as she looks at you with hungry eyes. She steps closer to you and tries to grope your ass, you slap her cheek before she does.
"What the actual fuck is wrong with you!" you scream, rendering the entire place silent.
Valkyrie holds her cheek dramatically with her grin still plastered on, Carol stands between you two, "Okay, okay, lots of feelings, that's normal and healthy, but this is not the place to make a scene, let's just get back to the ship and we can figure this out later," she hushes in your ear. You reluctantly agree and help her drag Valkyrie back to the ship.
Carol guides her to lay on the couch and you make a beeline toward them, but Carol physically stops you, "Hey, I know you're angry, but our priority right now is to get out of here and fast. If The Grandmaster finds out we took his favorite scraper it's gonna be a shit show, so buckle up."
You decide to listen to her as you haven't even recovered from your arrival. You go to the cockpit and fasten your seatbelt.
You safely make it out of the planet and Carol sets the ship to cruising speed. You get up from your seat and make your way to Val again, but Carol holds you back one more time.
"Stop," she instructs, making you groan, "I know, but she is very drunk right now, any conversation you try to have with her will be useless." You can tell her words come from experience, still you fight to have your way.
"Let me go." You ball up your fists tightly.
She doesn't seem affected by your increasing force, "Whatever you wanna do when you get home is none of my business, but I’m not letting a fight break out in my ship. Let her sober up and then you can try to be civil." You attempt to shake her grip off you, "Trust me, I want to slap her too, but I have to be the bigger person, you're welcome." You huff and go lock yourself in her room.
Carol exhales heavily as she watches you walk away.
After some time she brings Val a glass, "Have some water."
Valkyrie looks at her, still drunk and confused, "What for?"
"So I can sit and talk to you." Carol slumps beside her.
"Do you have alcohol?"
"No." The Captain quickly dismisses her, "Sakaar? Really? What is wrong with you?"
"You keep saying that like there was ever anything right with me." Val takes a big gulp of water.
"Cut it out, no more moping and wishing to die alone," Carol places a hand on Valkyrie's thigh, "I can kind of understand you sabotaging your relationship because it got so good it made you scared, but running away from your home?" she turns her body sideways to sit facing Valkyrie completely, "You are a King now, your people need you, you can't just disappear every time you feel unworthy."
"I broke up with her, didn't I?" Val whispers as her foggy mind remembers the last time she saw you.
"Is that what you took away from my speech?"
"I lost her like I lost my sisters," Valkyrie laments.
Carol feels the need to clarify, "You didn't lose her, you pushed her away."
"She hates me now."
"Yeah, she probably does," Val side eyes her "but you can fix it. She's gonna be in there a while, you get your shit together."
Several hours go by, and Valkyrie begins to worry about you, "How long has she been in there?"
Carol makes an educated guess, "About 12 hours."
"Someone should check up on her," Val ponders, hoping Carol will take initiative, so she doesn’t have to.
"Since I’m not the reason for her emotional distress, I don't think it should be me," Carol asserts, inadvertently taking down Valkyrie’s plan.
The King looks around the ship, nervously biting her lip, "Do you have any swords in here?"
Carol snickers at her hesitation, "Don't be a coward."
"I’m not a coward, I just know when I've upset the wrong person." She gets up from her spot on the couch and braces herself for the encounter. She gently knocks on the bedroom’s door before opening it, "May I come in?" she whispers, popping her head in. She is met by your sleeping form, a damp spot on the pillowcase right under your eyes and a bunch of crumpled up tissues on the bedside table, it breaks her heart knowing she is the cause of your pain.
You stir in bed lightly, in your hazy state you forget you are furious at her.
She walks in and closes the door behind her when she sees your reaction, "You're awake?" Her voice is barely audible as she sits on the bed, careful not to disturb you, you only groan in response, "I’m sorry," you give her a light nod, "can you forgive me?" It's not just about waking you up.
"Not now, Val," you croak trying to bury yourself deeper into the pillow.
"Right, of course. Get some rest." She leans in to place a small kiss on your temple as your eyes close up again, you can still smell the alcohol on her clothes. And just as quickly as she entered, she leaves.
Carol is waiting expectantly for Val to exit her room, "How did it go, soldier?"
"Not great," Valkyrie admits while cautiously closing the door.
"I didn't hear any yelling."
"She's sleeping."
Carol hums, "That makes more sense, did you try a true love's kiss?" Val gives her a death stare making her chuckle.
After many failed attempts at going back to sleep, you decide that hunger is what’s holding you back, so, against your better judgment, you go out to the trenches to find a snack.
You scurry to the kitchen and dig through the cabinets until you find something that looks appealing, a Skrull snack that Valkyrie introduced you to when you first started dating. You’re quietly making your way back to Carol’s room when you spot Valkyrie out of the corner of your eye, rotting on the couch. Without thinking twice about it, you sit beside her and offer her a share of your snack.
"This is kinda nice," you muse, "in all my years of knowing you, I've never seen you with a hangover."
Her accent comes out thick, "Last time I got this wasted I ended up in a brothel. Much better experience than whatever this is." She aims to make a joke that goes very poorly. Something about her immature act prompts you to want to slap her again, she stops you by instinctively lifting her arm, "Don't, one was enough."
"Like it even hurt," you mutter, rolling your eyes.
"It hurt my ego," she snarks, causing you to take away your shared snack and give her the middle finger as you stand up to go back to Carol’s room. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth thinking you were actually considering a truce when you realize she isn’t taking this seriously.
She lazily reaches out for you, "Hey, come on, that was a joke, I’m trying here," she bargains.
"Are you asking me to make this easier for you? Because last time I checked, you broke up with me for no apparent reason, and in the same breath flew off to the armpits of hell without leaving a trace," you snap.
She remains sat down massaging her temples with her gaze on the ground, "It was stupid, I’m sorry."
Your jaw stiffens, "I don't care that it was stupid, Val, you do stupid shit all the time, I’m used to it," you take a step closer to her and lift her chin up with two fingers, making sure she’s listening, "what you did was cruel, it was heartless and irresponsible," she gently moves away from your grasp to look anywhere else, feeling like a chastised kid, "how can you claim to love someone and then disappear from anywhere they could possibly find you?" your voice waivers, "Without an explanation, without anything to hold on to? You could have broken up with me without making me worried sick about you."
Val tries to keep a strong posture, to hide every single way in which her heart fractures at your words, she thinks for a long time and takes a deep breath before responding, "Some time ago, the council told me I needed to find a Queen," she begins, her eyes fixed on the ground, "It seemed simple enough, get a nice rock, take you out to dinner and that's that. So I did, I got a ring, made reservations, I even wrote a speech." she looks at you fidgeting with the edge of her cape, "Then every night leading up to it, I woke up in a cold sweat to a voice in my head telling me I couldn't do it, that it wasn't fair to ask you to spend the rest of your life by my side, I started thinking what would happen if you actually said 'no' and it got me spiraling."
"So what, you fled to the edge of the universe instead?" You’re not buying into her vulnerable performance just yet, "I know you don't like to be tied down, but don't put your thoughts in my head."
She gives you a guilty look as she continues, "The last nail in the coffin was when I realized that if you marry me, you would become a target to every single enemy of Asgard."
"Enemies? How bad can you be at public relations?"
"The history of Asgard isn't exactly one of peace. Anyone who wanted to get to me would eventually find their way to you. I would never forgive myself if I let anything happen to you."
You find it difficult to remain distant after hearing her speak, "As much as I appreciate the chivalry, I don't need your protection, I am perfectly capable of that myself," you settle for sitting on the arm of the couch, "I don't care who you are, I don't care about your power, or your status, or your dumb cape." Your words are harsh, but your tone is genuine.
"You came all this way just to tell me off?" She realizes you came all this way for her, you looked for her until you found her in a place you had never even heard of before.
"Also to slap you, and I have every right to." She knows you're furious inside and she deserves it, but maybe all is not lost.
She stands up with her back towards you, "I hate worrying about you, I didn’t want you to get hurt because of me." You stand up too.
"That's what love is, you can't just shut it off altogether because you get scared sometimes." Something about this conversation isn’t sitting right with you. Yes, you are pissed at her and you want to kill her a little bit, but that doesn’t mean you want to throw away everything you’ve built together.
She turns to face you, her expression is unreadable, "I already did."
"I won't let you. Valkyries don't fear anything, do they?" You carefully extend your arm and graze the back of your fingers over the mark on her left arm, the same one you used to trace over when she'd get back after long missions. It's a quick movement that still manages to make goosebumps overtake her whole body.
"You just said you don't care about me." She's twisting your words in the worst possible way. However, you know her well enough to notice she's doing so to protect her own heart.
You shake your head, "I said I don't care about your flashy outfits," you restate, pointing to the leather armor she's currently wearing, though you must admit it makes her muscles look gorgeous, "you are more than your title, you know?" You hold both of her hands in yours and as you pierce into her eyes you realize this is what you want, she is what you want, and there is no dumb mistake or irresponsible choice that can change that.
"I care about being there for each other and that we know how to communicate without resorting to self imposed exile," you try to explain it in a way she can’t distort, "I care that you trust me enough to tell me when you're scared, and, most importantly, I care that when you're about to do something stupid, you let me know first." With every sentence, you inch closer to her.
"I hear you, loud and clear." She nods, swallowing thickly, "I’m about to kiss you now." She begins closing the gap between you slowly, allowing you to back away if you don’t want it. Your lips connect into a sweet, passionate kiss, it’s an apology and a reconciliation, it’s a promise that you know she will keep.
You pull away in need for air and lean your forehead on hers, "We have a reservation at your favorite place Friday night," she whispers.
You look at her skeptically, "We do?"
"They ought to have an opening for The King," she shrugs making you playfully roll your eyes.
"I can't believe I’m getting back together with you."
She gives you the most terrified, vulnerable puppy eyes, "Do you not want to?"
"Unfortunately, I really do," you sigh with a grin on our face. Suddenly, you remember, "By the way, you owe Carol $100."
"What?"
You play coy, "You had a bet going on."
"American dollars?" she fumbles.
You twist your neck in the direction of the cockpit and yell, "Hey Carol, was it American dollars?"
Carol has been sitting on the pilot’s seat zoned out, looking at the stars for hours, your voice brings her back, "Uh, sure?" She isn’t fully aware of what you’re talking about.
Val produces a handful of Sakaar currency from her pocket and gives it to you, "That should cover it." Although it’s practically useless to her, you take the money and bring it to Carol.
After a minute of processing what you just put in her hand, it clicks, "Wait, I told you!" Carol grins.
"Don't let it get to your head." You try to hide the fact that you’re just as happy as she is.
"Now we'll both be married to royalty."
"Don't jinx it!"
Had to rewatch Ragnarok for this one, that's how committed I am 😂

Yet another fic I'm adding to my now ever growing list of fic ideas tumbling in my head,
Modern!Stucky AU with Band-Front man!Steve and Mechanic!Bucky, where they were an extremely close duo in their youth, but after a rocky beginning of college, the passing of Steve's mother and last remaining relative, and around 50 billion other issues, they had intense falling out which caused Buck left everything behind to go study abroad in Germany. (Probably at a made-up university called Hydra) (They aren't Nazis in this AU cos this Isn't that kinda plot, if anything they'd just be extremely harsh and strict and have a "rigorous training protocol" aka studying) (maybe the Red Room could be the student's nickname for the exam hall, I'm cooking I think) Buck doesn't return return back to New York until a decade later, seeking new job opportunities as well as heavily feeling the homesickness. While reconnecting with some old friends, they decide to introduce Buck to a a band called the Howling Commandos who's been rocking the charts the past few years, and a little about their lead who they call "The Captain." The Howling Commandos happen to also have a concert around Brooklyn within the week, so they decide to drag Buck along. Upon attending, Buck quickly discovers that his old friends did not inform him that "The Captain" was in fact Steve-goddamn-Rogers, who had grown from his scrawny, fragile, sickly 5'4 body into a 6'2 220lbs unit of pure muscle and luscious hair. Nor did they tell him the tickets they bought were exclusives, meaning they got to meet the band after the show for a short, private meet-and-greet.
Something something, Friends to Strangers to Lovers, lots of angst as they try to navigate a Decade apart from each-other and a decade long subtle resentment over a conflict neither of them got closure to.
Additional notes / explanations: - Buck is an mechanic because In-Actual Marvel lore, his dad was a carpenter, so I'm taking that to make him inspired to manual labor, and that he was friends with Howard Stark to elevate his interest in specifically machines. - He specifically goes to Germany because, fun fact!: Its a popular spot to study abroad for people who Just-Want-To-Go-Somewhere-Else, its fairly inexpensive compared to everywhere else, the engineering industry there is very strong, easy to become a citizen there , and the passport you get in Germany is the third strongest in the world. I really wanna write this now but I have so many other things to write too OUGH.

"I'M GLAD I MET YOU"
It's been a while since the last time I posted a Dave fic, sooo here is another one 💛
I hope you like it! 😊🖤

When Dave went to the comic book store with his friends after school, he didn't expect to run into you.
At first, Lizewski thought you were a mirage.
He'd never admit it out loud, but he had to pinch his arm to make sure he wasn't dreaming.
You were holding a Captain America comic (which, of course, he'd read more than three times) in your hands, calmly, as if you weren't upsetting his entire metabolism just by being there.
"Dave," Todd said, snapping his fingers in front of you. "Earth calling Todd. Do you copy?"
He blinked a few times, embarrassed, before focusing his gaze on his friends.
"Sorry, what were you saying?"
"I was saying you were infatuated with that girl," Marty chimed in, nodding at her.
"Don't make faces," Dave whispered, embarrassed. "She has eyes, you know?" She's going to realize we're talking about her
"She's looking at you, man," Todd blurted out, making Lizewski's breath catch in his throat.
"It's not true," he muttered nervously, but his friend insisted with a vigorous nod.
"It is," he assured him "If you don't believe me, see for yourself."
Dave steeled himself and looked away from his friends and back at you.
Your gaze locked for a few moments, making it clear that Todd was telling him the truth.
"Fuck," the curly-haired man said, swallowing hard as his cheeks flushed violently. "What do I do?"
"Go talk to her," Marty said. Dave shook his head.
"Are you crazy?" "I can't do that," he blurted out. "She'll think I'm a geek or something."
"The first step to having a girlfriend is talking to women, dude," his friend said. "Besides, we're in a comic book store," Marty reminded him. "We're ALL geeks here." He nodded toward you. "Go talk to her, or I will."
"You wouldn't dare," Dave muttered. His friend raised an eyebrow.
"Shall we check it out?" he questioned, starting to walk in your direction. Dave stopped him by lightly grabbing him by the hoodie he was wearing.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming," the curly-haired boy said.
He took a few deep breaths and walked over to where you were.
You looked up when you saw him approaching.
His bright blue eyes gently rested on yours through the lenses of his thin glasses.
"Hi," he greeted timidly. "I… I saw that…" He shook his head, thinking about what he was going to say before speaking. "What are you reading?"
"Captain America: Death of the Red Skull," you recited, looking at the title. "Have you read it?"
"I've read a lot of comics. I love Marvel and DC, Spiderman is one of my favorite characters, and I really like Batman too. Did you know…" He stopped abruptly. "Sorry, I don't want to bother you or anything I… I'll leave you alone."
"You're not bothering me," you replied, making his eyes widen in surprise. "I really like Batman too," you admitted. "I guess I have a weakness for characters with tragic backstories," you explained. He smiled.
You spent over an hour talking.
So much time passed that neither of you noticed that everyone had left the store and the owner was cleaning up a bit, preparing to close.
You left the store so the owner could close up, and you apologized for taking so long to leave.
Neither of you knew what to say next.
Dave stared at the floor, not daring to look at you directly, and you hoped he'd be the one to break the tense silence. In the end, he did.
"It was nice talking to you," he whispered, feeling his cheeks turn red again. "I-I mean, I'm glad I met you."
"Me too, Dave," you smiled pleasantly. "I had a great time."
"And I," the man with the blue eyes replied, laughing nervously. "I don't want this to sound desperate or anything, but…" If you want, ONLY if you want, we could…" He took a deep breath. "We can meet up one day and… I don't know… keep talking, I guess."
"I'd love to," you murmured excitedly.
After that, you exchanged phone numbers and agreed to discuss the day and time of your "date."
Dave didn't like calling it that because it sounded too serious, so he preferred to say "hangout" instead.
As soon as he got home and charged his phone, he searched for your contact to add you to his contacts.
He looked at your profile picture and saw it was you with two dogs in a huge field.
He stared at it for several minutes, so many that he fell asleep with his phone in his hand and your photo reflected on the screen.

Brooklyn, 1943
You'd heard of him. Everyone had. The skinny kid from Brooklyn who was now Captain America. But you knew him before his name filled the papers.
That night, at an impromptu party thrown by Stark. You were with a drink in your hand, leaning against one of the lounge's columns. The background music was not loud, but it was enough to encourage Steve to come closer when he wanted to greet you.
“Do you dance?” you asked.
You wanted that too. To dance. To feel him close.
The song was slow. His hands, clumsy, wrapped around your waist as you dropped your head against his chest.
“You still smell like paint," he teased, softly, against your ear.
“And you... smell like your uniform," you replied.
After the dance, they went for a walk down the side alley of the salon.
“I never thought I'd see you like this again," he said, facing you.
“How so?” you asked, tilting your head, not letting go of his hand.
“Like this... so close," he answered, and then, without thinking too much, he came closer.
The kiss was warm, soft at first, as if he was afraid you would fade away. But you didn't. That night, you didn't talk about promises. You didn't talk about what was coming tomorrow. He would go to war.
You ended up in your apartment, with the curtains badly drawn and the record player playing at low volume. You approached slowly, with the dim lights of the lamp on the coffee table giving just enough light to the place. Your fingers brushed his.
“Are you all right?” you asked.
“Yeah... I'm just..." Steve swallowed, smiling thinly. It's been a long time since I've been with someone like that. I don't want to be with someone like that.
You moved even closer, until you were facing him. Your hand went carefully up to his cheek, and he barely turned his face, closing his eyes for a second when he felt your touch.
When you kissed him, you did it slowly. Steve responded instantly, one of his hands around your waist firmly, the other running up your back. You guided him to your room. The creak of the hardwood floor under his boots, the brush of his jacket against your dress.
When they stopped at the foot of your bed, he looked into your eyes. He said nothing. He just watched you as if he needed to memorize you. His hands were slow, careful, as they dared to unzip your dress. There was no hurry. When the dress fell to the floor and you stood in front of him in your underwear, Steve sighed low, as if you had taken the air out of him.
You, too, began to unbutton his shirt. One by one, he felt his muscles tense with each brush of your fingers. When the garment fell, you paused for a moment, watching his chest.
Steve kissed you like he couldn't do it again. He caressed you as if he had never touched anyone. Then, when you were between the rumpled sheets, your bodies still pressed together, he put his arm around you and pulled you against his chest.
“You know? If this was the last night before going back to the front... I'm glad I spent it with you.”
You didn't say anything. You just leaned your head against his chest and listened to his heart.
Strong. Steady.
Like it was beating for you too.
