Now you've probably seen this too many times than you can count but

Danny phantom and Shazam bullcraping the justice league about being thousands of years old. And them genuinely believing them and going to them for advise

Danny Fenton (aka danny phantom) knew that the moment he stepped into the watchtower's meeting room he was f**ked. Atleast that's what he thought.

He had been working with the justice league for a few months now but had never been properly introduced so when he walked into the room and lay eyes upon the 'eldest' man in the room he knew that he'd have to make a plan, and quickly.

Billy Batson (aka Shazam) knew that eventually the jig would be up amd he'd be exposed.

And he felt for certain that the eldrich God who had just walked through the door to the meeting room would be the reason it all went up in flames.

They both tried to stall their inevitable meeting, but it was very hard considering that they were expected to interact with each other atleast once since they were both part of the justice league.

So Danny did something stupid, it was a 50/50 chance it would work. When he finally greeted Captain Marvel he immediately dove in for a hug and said "Captain! It has been much too long!"

And Billy being the desperate child he is not wanting to be outed, huged back and exchanged his pleasentries.

An understanding passed between the two when thier eyes met. Please play along

Danny was not having a spectacular day. He never had dinner last night (thanks alot kitty) and was running late so no breakfast fro him. He tripped up the stairs on his way to school. He had gotten a pop quiz in maths. He got shove into a locker three times that day, Three! He barely hadtime to finish his lunch, thanks to the Lunch lady 'checking in' to see if there menu's were still 'okay'. And now he finally got home and all he wants to do is lay in his bed and SLEEP.

But of course Fenton Luck(tm) strikes again! Not even five minutes of laying down he's been summoned.

Danny was expecting a fight or something of that sort atleast. But when he comes to his senses and realizes his standing in front of the flipping justice league. He straightens up, fixed his bed head. Gotta impress Ms Wonder woman ma'am, pandora speaks very highly of her.

As it turns out there has been a slight miscommunication....they got that danny was the all powerful mighty ghost king and all, but they think his been the all powerful mighty ghost king for millenia.

Danny knowing they won't respond great at learning he is a child in thier eyes.Goes along with their little theory. And has a discussion on a peace treaty and alliance. And basically shitting his way through. He just wants to go home.

And after a long and tiring meeting, he finally gets to go home! Until a voice calls out to him asking if he could ask some questions. That voice was Batman. You can't directly say no to Batman. So he begrudgingly agrees.

Batman questions were quite, deep persay. He was trying to extract as much information as possible fromm him. His miracle saviour comes in as the form as captain Marvel.

"Oh yea he's been around for years, he and I go way back." Captian marvel interups Batmans question on how old he is before Danny even has a chance to reply. "But I didn't know you became ghost king dude!" He pointedly looks at Danny.

Danny snaging the opportunity reply "Yeah I'm so sorry it was this huge thing with pariah Dark and blah blah, you know it goes" Danny heaved a sigh, "He finally got on my last nerves so I.. ynkow" he gestures vaguely.

"Finally I've been telling you he's been bad news from the start" Captain marvel does a weird hand signal " We've gotta catch up some day dude"

Danny immediately understanding that this hunk of a man is probably in the same position as him, desperately tries to school his features and stop him from laughing out loud says. "Indeed, you were right, and im afraid im on a bit of a tight schedule, how's about we meet up for some of the realms fierce melon drinks?"

Shazam is extatic, his theory was correct "Of course I'll see you soon old friend"

Danny pulls a knife out of his seemingly invisible pocket, slashes at the air and a large rift appears with a swirling green inside.

He turns to face the league. " my most Lukewarm regards to you all" and hops through the rift as it closes.

In a unanimous unspoken design they all turm to Captain marvel in search for answers, obviously confused at the greeting.

"Phantm must think quite highly of you all to use such a greeting" shazam says in false awe, as the league start gossiping about what just happened.

I wanna see danny and shazam faking it till you make it together

They both got majer responsibilitys at a young age. Both are ppwerful, danny being king or the infinite realms and shazam being the champion of magic they both know the struggels and duty while getting no gratitude.

They would get along perfectly.

What i imagine is during some cutl BS they find out there is a new, better, king of the infinet realms and seek to build a relationship with him, y'know for good connections. But they asumed he was several melenia old.

So they summon danny, and boom phantom comes out looking a little disgruntled at being summoned out of the blue, they talk and phantom agrees to an alliance on certain conditions and basicly acting like a responsible king.

But shazam sees through it, sees the child thats barly gilding on, that was given too much power because he was the only one worth of it. And it reminds it of him self.

So when batman starts questioning phantom, shazam steps in saying that they knew each other and have for melenia, he just didnt know he got the tital of ghost king.

Danny while confused, saw the signs that shazam too was a child like him, decided to ask about it later, and went with it.

Now imagine batman, THE BATMAN, getting his questions getting shut down by too sassy melenia old beings, who apparently know eachother.

While danny and shazam are internally loosing their shit, hopping to every god there is that no one catches on that their BS them, while simultaneously dreading the conversation they know they have to have.

And the reast of the JL are happily oblivious and excited to get a new friend

Ghosts are not a race of evil creatures that most people think they are. And Danny was really happy when the Infinite Realms were able to make peace treaties with most countries of the human world. Ghosts, however, are a very vindictive race. At least that’s how young Phantom explained himself to Batman afterwards.

It just so happens that a couple of hours before the event aimed at expanding intergalactic unions most of the JLeague members due to an emergency call went on a mission. Which means people who had any authority in Phantom’s eyes became unavailable for a while.

So Shazam and Phantom as the most known outside the Earth were assigned to greet the guests and most importantly to entertain the visitors until the founders of JL return.

According to Phantom, Batman, being such a good detective with a bunch of backup plans, should have known that Danny’s favorite cereal ran out this morning, that he was late for first class, and that after school he had a fight with his parents. No, seriously, aren’t so-called scientists supposed to be able to admit mistakes in their own judgment? Danny got tired of being constantly ashamed of their behavior near other ghosts. It's bad enough that his authority as a ruler is sustained only by the support of those Ancients with whom he maintains friendly relations. Average citizens still doubt that he is a is sufficient to claim the throne. He’s had enough of being accused of not being a full-fledged ghost.  He’s not ready to hear rumors that he supports his parents' racist judgments too. In short, his day sucked. And all his ghostly nature now wanted to do something nasty to his neighbors to get rid of the tension.

Alien leader stretched out a hand to Phantom and Shazam. “Your Majesty Phantom, Champion of Magic. It’s an honor to meet you. I hope I learned the proper greeting gesture of the local intelligent race.”

And with that Danny’s reserve of conscience ran out. It’s a perfect moment to feed his need to be a little shit.

“The local intelligent race?’ Danny had this extreme bewilderment on his face. “Which one do you think..? Earth was the home of the Gods and of various inhabitants of the galaxy but it was a long time ago.”

Woman is clearly confused. Great. “E-Earthers. I think they’re called that.”

“Earthlings, intelligent race? You must be mistaken.” Danny faked a giggle. “Who told you that crap?”

“Phantom, what are you doing?” Batman hissed at him from an earpiece. Danny turned the sound off with a clear conscience. “I mean, seriously, there’s not a single serious study in the science library in this galaxy or any other galaxy that says humans are intelligent. Shazam, do you think they’re..?”

For some reason, Billy immediately remembered watching a man spend his entire salary on lottery tickets last week. And of course he was careless enough to shake his head and snort. That was all Phantom needed.

“Exactly. Earthlings don’t have to be intelligent to mimic the behavior of more evolved species. Surely you are well aware that Martians and Kryptonians, and many others have visited Earth at different stages of human development. My supervisor Clockwork and I have long been observing this strange species. In many ways, their behavior resembles a mixture of instinctive reactions of specimens from the 126 sectors of the nearest SBc Galaxy and several other creatures from planets of the galaxy KV59. However, even I, as an anthropologist with extensive experience of observing human species in their natural habitat, still have to explore and discover many of their secrets.”

“I do not understand. According to the documents among the delegation that greets us there are Earthlings. I mean I don’t question the scientific evidence of a respected Chronos or you, but why then..”

“Of course you don’t! It’s really quite simple. For the purity of the clinical experiment, which we are conducting now, it is necessary that Earthlings feel themselves ostensibly full participants of the «society» consisting of members with developed intelligence.”

“So, any luck, colleague?” Shazam, who realized that Batman would now skin them anyway, decided to at least participate in this theater so that the punishment would be at least deserved.

“Well, we’ve certainly come up with some interesting preliminary insights about the adaptive capacity of the human brain in limited contact with Martians. Of course, humans do not have real emotions to be full participants in communication, but their attempts and zeal are very inspiring.”

Meanwhile, Fentons watching a live broadcast of what was supposed to be an interplanetary friendship encounter are beginning to realize that if trying to punish a rebellious human teenager has always been difficult for them, the attempt to control the behavior of the 14 y/o half-ghost may become a nightmare not only for them.

Jack: Honey, I think Danny’s still a little upset about our old theories about the ability of ghosts to feel or think.

Jazz, sitting between them with the face of a man resigned to the chaos around her, could not restrain the sarcasm: Really? Why would you think that?

I need a dpxdc Crossover scenario where, somehow, Danny Fenton and Billy Batson end up at the same school. Maybe Danny is a year older but he got held back in a subject, so they’re both in the same bio class. Danny as a Sophomore and Billy as a Freshman. They’re lab partners and they hang out during school, and neither of them have any clue the other is a superhero. Danny is so used to everyone having Kinda Weird vibes from Amity that Billy doesn't ping anything and Billy has the same thing where everyone is Fawcett is a little Off, nothing particularly different about this guy.

Later on, both of them have joined the league as Shazam and Phantom and they still have literally no clue the other is a superhero. Billy doesn't recognize Danny as Phantom because of the altered features and Extremely Weird Vibes and obviously Danny doesn't think to compare the adult man Shazam with his fourteen-year-old buddy Billy. They both think the other is a semi-immortal being and they are both desperately making shit up about past events and praying they got it right. They both are continuously amazed that they're so good at guessing historical facts. They keep having to agree to random historical events that may or may not have happened because the other guy said so. They are both passing World History with flying colors because of the research they have to do to keep the "ruse" up

Eventually, someone's identity gets revealed (I'm thinking Billy) to the League, which is really dramatic and emotional about how Billy lied to everyone about his age and history for so long. And then Danny arrives ten minutes late with a Starbucks like "hey why is everyone freaking out. Why is Superman crying. WHY is B-this random kid here. On the Watchtower. What."

Someone: Phantom, I know you and Shazam were close, did you know he was secretly the fourteen-year-old Billy Batson? He's been lying to us about his past this whole time!

Billy: D:

Phantom: :/ UH so while we're on the subject *transforms from Phantom to Danny* hey Billy!

Billy: DANNY?

Anyways its a whole confusing mess and everyone is yelling and nobody knows what the fuck is going on but eventually its cleared up that yes, both Phantom and Shazam are secretly kids, they apparently know each other but only in their secret IDs, and they have in fact been bullshitting Ancient History facts like there's no tomorrow

But the important part here is that Billy and Danny pass their lab final, because thats what really matters

Danny and billy are homeless besties. Living their best life. Tricking the JL into thinking they are both the adultiest adults.

Danny is backed by having evidence of being alive in the past. He obviously just doesn’t age. Billy just looks like an adult as Shazam.

Now. Danny swears it’s not his fault they got caught. He wasn’t expecting to get turned human. Honestly after the nasty burger explosion he didn’t think he’d be reported missing. Plus how does Batman know Vlad has a missing persons report on him.

Batman: *batglare*

Danny: i never said i was an adult. You guys assumed. I just didn’t say otherwise. Thank you very much.

Making a masterpost for The Outsider Chronicles just in case. 

What is the Outsider Chronicles? 

The Outsider Chronicles is my special interest from hell fan comic, which currently only exists as a prose version because art is hard. The comic is a mega-crossover divided based on what storylines are following which character, which is probably why, when I do get around to making the comic version, I’m going to upload it to either Tumblr or AO3 with their (questionably) handy tagging systems so fans of one character can simply...read that character’s storyline. 

Yes, but what is the Outsider Chronicles about? 

Hoo boy. 

So there’s a solid fifty different characters in just the first volume alone (this thing has 10 planned volumes and is probably going to get more) and each one has their own storyline. It’s probably easier to describe the overall plot instead of each of the individual storylines, which will probably get their own posts later on. 

The comic begins with the basic fanfic crossover premise of “characters wake up in another universe” and then goes completely off the rails. The central cast consists of the Outsiders, a bunch of people who randomly showed up in the Supergirl universe one day and decided to team up because one of them, Jenny, promised to show them a way home if they’d help her rescue her father, the Doctor. The comic is being narrated by this snarky little shit named Aelitah, who knew the Outsiders at some point in time, long after their dissolution and apparent demise. We learn more about her as the story unfolds and how her story ties into the Outsiders’. 

What fandoms are featured in the Outsider Chronicles? 

The most important fandoms for just the first volume (i.e. the ones where the protagonists come from) are Doctor Who, Generator Rex, Hetalia, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, the Alcatraz Vs series, Scandinavia and the World, Realicide, Alita Battle Angel, Lockwood & Co, the Pandava Quartet, Ben 10, Shazam!, anything by Rick Riordan, Danny Phantom, Daniel X, Hermitcraft, the Dream SMP, the Empires SMP, Hollow Knight, Stand Still Stay Silent, Voltron, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Fullmetal Alchemist, Septimus Heap, and Red Rising. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE FAMILIAR WITH ALL OF THESE WORKS. I cannot stress that enough. If you’re familiar with just ONE of them, you can follow that one work to the end of the series; assuming I did my job as a writer correctly, you should be able to parse enough information about whatever fandom interacts with your own the most to get through the story. 

The works the settings are from include the Supergirl tv show, the Fallen London ‘verse, the MCU, the SCP Foundation universe, a few previously mentioned works, and a few settings of my own creation. You also do not have to be familiar with these settings to read The Outsider Chronicles. 

There are also few fandoms not mentioned above that also appear. These include Little Nightmares, Centricide, Mianite, Sunless Skies (technically part of Fallen London but still), Bioshock 1 and Infinite, Hadestown, Dune, Attack on Titan, and other works that would probably get me cancelled on Twitter. 

Is there anything else we need to know? 

Yes. Because of this story’s size, it’s going to be a bit slow when it comes to updates. I’ll try to update whatever storyline I’m working on at the time at least once a week, but life gets in the way sometimes and I might not be able to progress this fast enough. 

There are also some content warnings for warfare, genocide, violence, sexual assault (not shown but fairly blatantly discussed), abuse, death, child abandonment, mental illness, suicide, and prejudice. There are probably others but I don’t know what other things might be triggering; let me know if you decide to read the comic and find some more, and I’ll update this list. 

This series also heavily features headcanons of mine! I’ll try to name them when I can, but just remember to take things with a grain of salt if you intend to read another work featured in The Outsider Chronicles.

Danny is sitting in his first Justice League debrief and trying not to vibrate in excitement. He's working with the Justice League now! He was just some kid from a small town, really. But they thought he would be perfect for a mission.

Some demons or something attacking a town. Not that different from a ghost attack, really. And he'd been handling those for three years alone now.

"So we'll have Shazam and Phantom taking lead on this," said Superman.

"What? Shazam?" Danny froze in his seat as he stared at the other hero. Why did it have to be Shazam?

"Is there a problem, Phantom?" asked Superman. "Shazam is an established member of this group and knows how we operate."

Danny forced a laugh and rubbed the back of his head. "No problem, Superman. Nope. Not at all." Thank god he didn't have a heartbeat in this form or it'd be going way too fast and his ruse wouldn't hold up. He took a deep breath and held his hand out to Shazam. "It'll be good to work with you."

Shazam shook his hand. "Same."

He hoped it wasn't obvious how his jaw was clenched behind his smile. It wasn't Shazam's fault he hated electricity.

As soon as the mission was over, Danny found a closet to hide in. He made a dome of ice and collapsed to his knees, breathing ragged. With shaking hands he dialed his sister. "Jazz..." he started, but couldn't continue. He was breathing too hard and could stop the tears.

"Danny? What's wrong? Are you okay? Wait, stupid question. Come on, breathe with me." She started counting out her breaths and Danny tried to follow along.

But then he'd remember how electricity had spouted from his teammate and rushed through the air so close to him and he'd lose the rhythm.

"Danny, just listen to my voice. You're safe, right?"

"Y-yeah," he managed to force out.

"Okay, good. That's great."

It took a little longer, but she was able to talk him down. Danny was still shaky and off-balance, but his breathing was more-or-less steady and he had stopped crying.

"Now, can you tell me what happened."

"I was partnered with Shazam for today's mission. He uses electricity."

"Shit."

"Yeah."

"Okay," said Jazz. "Do you think you could tell them?"

"Talk about my death? No. I can't. Not to people who don't already know."

"All right. That's perfectly fine. When you come home, we'll try and figure something out. Hopefully your next mission won't be with an electricity-user."

But it was. He was working with Static Shock. This time he had the wherewithal to text Jazz before the mission so she'd be ready for his post-mission panic attack.

The time after that, he was assigned to work with a larger group. None had electricity powers and Danny thought he was safe. Until the moment he was back to back with Nightwing and felt static run along his back from his weapons. He jumped ten feet in the air and then had to send up an ice shield to stop the attacks now heading towards Nightwing's unprotected back.

"What was that, Phantom?" demanded Nightwing.

"Sorry! Won't happen again!"

"It better not. I could've gotten hurt!"

Several hours later, Jazz hugged him tightly when he came home.

Danny had no idea what he was going to do.

Danny was starting to hate being called in for Justice League meetings and missions. Why did so many heroes use electricity in someway?

But this time, Martian Manhunter would be there! He hadn't met the man before but wanted to meet the alien. He wanted to know all the differences between Mars at it's peak and Earth. How the differences in planetary composition affected how life had evolved.

When he entered, he saw Shazam and Static Shock both present and fixed his smile firmly on his face as he said his greetings. But still sat as far away from them as possible without it seeming odd.

If that brought him closer to Martian Manhunter, so much the better.

"It's Phantom, right?" asked the Martian when he sat down. "Welcome. It's nice to meet you."

Danny felt himself relax into a more genuine smile. "Same! I've always loved space and the chance to meet so many people from different planets has been so great."

"Then perhaps we shall have the chance to talk more later."

"That would be awesome if you have the time."

Shazam spoke, then, causing Danny to tense. "But don't you usually have to leave right after missions? You never seem to have any downtime you can spend here."

And just like that, Danny was tense. How could he just admit that he had to run off to have panic attacks after every mission? They'd never trust him on the field again.

He didn't notice the curious look Martian Manhunter gave him.

"It's not so much a time issue," admits Danny, thinking fast. "But it's my sister. She's used to my fights being closer to home and worries when I'm not back so she can check me over for injuries. She didn't know for my first few months heroing and is now a bit overprotective."

"You have a sister? What's she like?"

This was safe territory, at least. He could talk about Jazz and his friends for hours if allowed. "Oh, she's the best."

Those present with siblings all ended up trading stories until Superman and Batman came in and the meeting began.

And sure enough, he was partnered with both Shazam and Static Shock. With his fixed smile, he nodded and didn't say anything.

Until a quiet voice next to him asked, "Phantom? What is wrong?"

"Nothings wrong!" he insisted. "It's all good. I've worked with them both before so it'll be fine."

Martian Manhunter cocked his head. "I do not think it will be. You are afraid."

Danny had forgotten Martians were telepathic. Before he could think of anything to say, Batman spoke. "Will there be a problem completing the mission?"

"Nope! It'll be totally fine. No problems on my end."

"Could I talk to you alone for a moment, Phantom?"

"Is that necessary, Martian Manhunter?" asked Superman.

"I do believe so. Come, Phantom. Do not worry, you'll be in no trouble."

Unable to think of a way to get out of it, Danny sighed and stood and followed the Martian out of the room. It was nice to have another person around who didn't need to use doors, though. He'd take his upsides where he could right about now.

"Why are you afraid of Shazam and Static Shock?"

Danny forced an awkward laugh. "What makes you think that? I'm not afraid of them. They're both great."

"Martian's are telepaths, Phantom. And your species appears to be empaths. I do not wish to infringe on your privacy, but I cannot prevent it the way you project."

"Of course not." Danny sighed. "I wonder if Clockwork can help me with that," he mumbled to himself. "Um, look. It's not their fault and I can handle it. It's all on me." Even the thought of the electricity made his breath catch, though.

"It is their powers that bother you. Why?"

"Fuck. I really can't hide from you."

Martian Manhunter smiled softly at him. "No, I'm afraid you can't. Perhaps we can practice building shields for you sometime. If your other mentors cannot help you. Now, electricity?"

The memories were always there, just under the surface. The glowing scars hidden under his sleeve and glove felt like they were burning. He felt the electricity running through his body stopping his heart and the ectoplasm rushing in just behind starting it again. He took a deep breath and shoved the memories away.

Only to see Martian Manhunter staring at him with horror on his face. "You truly have died. The others said, but enough doubted that no one was sure."

"What are you talking about?" That made no sense. "I told them I was a ghost."

"Indeed you did. And it is not your fault if others chose not to believe you. Now, I have dredged up bad memories for you. I apologize. Would you like me to speak to the others? There are enough of us. You do not need to work with those who use electricity in the field."

"It's not that easy, though, is it? I mean, if the world is in danger, I'll fight."

"But this is not one of those times. And if the others know of your history, they can warn you in advance so you are not so surprised. Or perhaps we can find other work-arounds. Regardless, it will not be necessary in this case."

"If I can help..."

"We can still accept your help in ways that do not force you to confront the cause of your death during fraught situations. Now, I will come back for you in a few minutes. Take some time to collect yourself."

"All right. All right. I will."

Martian Manhunter turned to go back through the wall into the meeting room.

Before he was gone, Danny said, "Thanks."

"It was my pleasure. I can only apologize that we did not know sooner."

And then Danny was alone. He texted Jazz to let her know that his secret with electricity was out, but that it might be okay and he'd give her details later.

Danny knew that by joining the justice league that he would occasionally be called in to do missions and that was fine, he knew that it was a necessary thing. Where the problem lies however were the partners he got assigned with on the mission, and they themselves weren't really that hard to deal with either however, where the real problem with them lies is that for some reason all the heroes he gets paired up with either had lightning/electricity powers or mainly fought with electric weapons. And that's a really difficult, personal and uncomfortable issue to explain

ooo i dig this sm. The characters that I immediately thought of that would be really interesting to be with Danny in this situation: Static Shock, Shazam, or Kid Flash. How do you tell your partner that you are scared of them because you died via electrocution? Where do you even start? Danny doesn't know.

Dick can’t believe his eyes. Babs was in Blüdhaven. Or else… It really looked like it was Babs. This girl's body language was far different. A thick psychology textbook was held firmly in one hand and another grasping her purse that no doubt had a brick in it. The biggest sign that it wasn’t Barbara was that she was walking. This wasn’t Babs but he might as well say hi.

Duke couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Right in front of him was a lady who was the spitting image of his mother. After cautiously asking if she had any relation to Elaine Thomas and getting told that she didn’t, he awkwardly apologized for asking and was about to leave before a hand on his shoulder stopped him. The lady told him that she heard that name before in the victims of the Joker Gas attack a few months back. She was sorry for his loss and she gave him her phone number to talk about it if he ever needed a friendly face to spill his worries. Duke looked at the contact name this lady gave him: Valerie Gray. Little did he know that this was the start of a very strange mentorship

It's tough gaining respect from new League members when they find out one of their superiors is a 14-year-old:

Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Booster are kind of miffed that one of the founding members keeps bossing them around and chastising them for mistakes in the field. Who is he to talk shit? He’s like 12 for gods sake. Oh boy do their complaints end quickly when Danny shows the full extent of his powers during a battle

Roy Harper does NOT fuck with having a child as his supervisor for a JL mission. He feels as if this was a rude jab and an insult to his being. Turns out, the kid is in a reverse Shazam situation and he’s actually Roy’s age when he de-ghosts himself. What Roy thought was Phantom faking trying to relate to him was actually genuine conversation. Sucks that he had to find out Danny was actually his age from falling unconscious mid-battle though. That sucked.

Shazam was very nervous about this Phantom guy. The dude was immensely powerful but when he transformed into his human side he looked exactly like Billy Batson. Through a series of events, Billy goes into the watchtower without transforming into Captain Marvel and someone mistakes him for Danny. He hopes to god he can keep up the guise for just today or else his secret is out.

Now you've probably seen this too many times than you can count but

Danny phantom and Shazam bullcraping the justice league about being thousands of years old. And them genuinely believing them and going to them for advise

Danny Fenton (aka danny phantom) knew that the moment he stepped into the watchtower's meeting room he was f**ked. Atleast that's what he thought.

He had been working with the justice league for a few months now but had never been properly introduced so when he walked into the room and lay eyes upon the 'eldest' man in the room he knew that he'd have to make a plan, and quickly.

Billy Batson (aka Shazam) knew that eventually the jig would be up amd he'd be exposed.

And he felt for certain that the eldrich God who had just walked through the door to the meeting room would be the reason it all went up in flames.

They bothe tried to stall thier inevitable meeting, but it was very hard considering that they were expected to atleast once interact with each other.

So Danny did something stupid, it was a 50/50 chance it would work. When he finally greeted Captain Marvel he immediately dove in for a hug and said "Cap! It has been much too long!"

And Billy being the desperate child he is not wanting to be outed, huged back and exchanged his pleasentries.

An understanding passed between the two when thier eyes met. Please play along

I wanna see danny and shazam faking it till you make it together

They both got major responsibilitys at a young age. Both are powerful, danny being king or the infinite realms and shazam being the champion of magic they both know the struggels and duty while getting no gratitude.

They would get along perfectly.

What i imagine is during some cutl BS they find out there is a new, better, king of the infinet realms and seek to build a relationship with him, y'know for good connections. But they asumed he was several melenia old.

So they summon danny, and boom phantom comes out looking a little disgruntled at being summoned out of the blue, they talk and phantom agrees to an alliance on certain conditions and basicly acting like a responsible king.

But shazam sees through it, sees the child thats barly holding on, that was given too much power because he was the only one worthy of it. And it reminds it of him self.

So when batman starts questioning phantom, shazam steps in saying that they knew each other and have for melenia, he just didnt know he got the title of ghost king.

Danny while confused, saw the signs that shazam too was a child like him, decided to ask about it later, and went with it.

Now imagine batman, THE BATMAN, getting his questions getting shut down by two sassy melenia old beings, who apparently know eachother.

While danny and shazam are internally loosing their shit, hopping to every god there is that no one catches on that their BS them, while simultaneously dreading the conversation they know they have to have.

And the reast of the JL are happily oblivious and excited to get a new friend

Flash pulled out popcorn as we closed the door and left Shazam and Phantom alone, we all sat down as Green Lantern pulled up the security camera footage. We all wanted to know what ancient adventures they would talk about the video opened up “I’m so sorry for hugging you- thank you for going along with it.” Phantom said at the same time Shazam said

“How did you know you needed to pretend to know me?”

“What?” Both of them asked each other,

“I was sure you’d see through me immediately and realise I wasn’t actually old, because you’re old.” Shazam said

“What.” Phantom repeated

“I’m like… 10 years old my powers let me look old.” Shazam said, Phantom laughed

“Seriously? I thought you were going to out me! I died 3 years ago and everyone assumes I don’t age (I mean I can kinda chose but still), all those history records were actually a mess of time travel and maps and evil fruitloops.” Phantom said, they both grinned

“Well, nice to meet you, I’m Billy Batson, 10 years old, in and out of foster care or homelessness.” Shazam introduced

“Hi, I’m Danny Fenton, I’m 17, my parents are ghost hunters and hate me or forget about me in each respective identity.” Phantom said, they both looked at each other and nodded

“Hope it works out for you.” they said in unison, then they giggled
