why are these important? well, if you openly share the sites, they wil get shut down. corporations are willing to copyright strike anything. you are only going to make accessing these resources harder.

Because my feelings on this are not ebbing at all, I went onto the Wayback Machine to revisit the Daily Show websites from its early days on. That site was my most visited for years, perfectly archived and so accessible. It was the beating heart of the fandom in so many ways.

What was removed yesterday from Comedy Central wasn't close to what it used to be - this is absolutely not me minimizing things at all, the wipe effectively makes The Daily Show and The Colbert Report lost media to people who don't know how to find them in less than legal ways and removes access to a massive part of modern American culture. But I'm kinda mourning an entire fandom experience rn.

Yeah lots of people still very much buy into the capitalist idea that stealing sweets from a baby is as bad pirating media from a multibillion worth company. Bc both are theft right? WRONG!! You just aren't paying for a subscription that you already weren't paying for. They aren't losing money. Good on you for having friends who can - community is important
