Crosshunt will always be my #1 because it's my raccoons-fighting-over-trash-in-a-dumpster-on-fire ship.
But I'm also so soft for Huntech because it would be so sweet? And cute? I love the idea of a confident nerd falling in love with the oblivious jock and becoming tongue-tied around them. And then proceeding to ignore said growing feelings even though you're co-parenting a child together and you literally can't avoid your crush.
The comedy potential of Tech trying to avoid Hunter, and Hunter sensing something is off so he follows Tech around that much more. Brilliant.
Consider the angst as well... after season 2... and the show finale... I want to write a Huntech fix-it. And do that finale fight scene some justice and make it the threeway homoerotic fight it should have been and they take Tech home as they should have.
Also CX-2's obsession with beating the shit out of Crosshair is 1000x funnier if it's Tech's latent jealousy rising to the surface seeing Hunter and Crosshair close again. Just. This ship is both a heartbreak and a comedy.

Feveruary Bonus Drabble 1: Forced to Work (out)
I decided since these are just bonuses, I'm going to play a little looser with the prompts xD
“Go on without me,” Lu Guang coughed miserably into his pajama sleeve. He shivered inside his blanket cocoon, as Cheng Xiaoshi looked on pityingly. “You poor thing. Are you sure you don’t want me to look after you?” “No. You have your own plans. I’ll be fine.” And that was that. Cheng Xiaoshi was still shaking his head when he met Qiao Ling outside the shop. “Huh? Where’s Lu Guang?” she asked with a frown. “Sick, allegedly.” “Allegedly?” “Allegedly,” Cheng Xiaoshi repeated sagely as he began to stretch. “In actuality, he just doesn’t want to go running with us again.”

Behind the Scenes of the Ford F-150 Lightning Switchgear
You could say the Ford F-150 Lightning Switchgear is the unexpected Lightning. Sporting 37-inch tires and outrageous bodywork, the Ford Performance on- and off-road demonstrator vehicle doesn’t simply get stares for how it looks but also for what it can do. That’s because the stuff it can do is pretty epic. In this week’s show we get behind the scenes of this amazing one-off truck in an interview…

2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV Premium Plus
Mazda's stylish new CX-90 SUV is luxurious and also is a plug-in hybrid. Note the name changes for Mazda crossovers and SUVs now too.
Stylish new plug-in hybrid SUV oozes luxury … Credit Mazda with creating its first plug-in hybrid, the stylish three-row CX-90 SUV, which takes the place of its CX-9 for 2024. Mazda is moving mostly to double digits after its CX label for all its crossovers and SUVs, so CX-30, CX-50, CX-70, CX-90, oh, and there’s still the CX-5, its top-seller. Mazda also continues to push its vehicles more…

Absolutely gobsmacked by the way s2 finale of Link Click humanizes Lu Guang and shatters the 'ice prince' archetype in one fell swoop. Granted, I started Link Click when both seasons were completed so I do not have the more prolonged watching journey as other fans but it just is so interesting to me. Lu Guang for most of the show is so aloof and so unflappable, capable if not seemingly OPed in that his powers have little drawbacks or places to mess up like CXS'. The classic ice prince. Intriguing but altogether an enigma more than a man, dare I say more an archetype than a person.
Cheng Xiaoshi's motivations, tender heartaches, and contraries are revealed plainly in the story. You knew what he wants as a character, why, what would scare him, what would anger him, what mistakes he would make, etc. etc. Lu Guang was such a contrast. He seemed so untouchable. Not shaken by anything. Even when he was stabbed (and rightly shocked by it lol), he was so quickly accepting of it.
Then S2 finale rolls around and SUDDENLY. He is so painfully human. He's in denial. He's terrified. He's grieving. He's selfish. He's desperate. He's isolated. He's so full of love. He is a sobbing wreck and we know that it is true even if we never fully see it (except in those high-res nano-second shots which are such UTTER BRILLIANCE on the art director's part). He is so scared of losing someone he loves that he will do anything to never have it become true, despite being ultimately so powerless to actually have any say in it. We might not all have Cheng Xiaoshi's impulsiveness or sorrows or determination, but how many of us do not have Lu Guang's fear?
Just...the utter genius of making Lu Guang from the ice prince archetype to the most human and relatable character in Link Click in just the last 90 seconds of S2.

Smalll things in Link Click season one
FEATURING SCREENSHOTS HEHEHE
Tumblr media
Cheng Xiaoshi's camera roll being 90& cat photos
Tumblr media
Lu Guang with glasses. Supremacy honestly.
Tumblr media
Lu Guang: chewing on a fork (very neurotypical of him /sarcastic)
Cheng Xiaoshi: having a noodle crisis (also very neurotypical of him /sarcastic)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lu Guang literally does not stop looking at CXS in this entire sequence
Tumblr media
Lu Guang when he's with CXS: perfect posture and refinement and such Lu Guang when he's alone/CXS is in a dive: feet on the table
Tumblr media
CXS sits in a chair backwards like the ADHDer he is. (also I think this is the only dive in season one where they aren't on the couch when doing the high-five thing)
Tumblr media
Link Click in a nutshell /hj
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Smiling Lu Guang wowowo
Tumblr media
Headcannon that he does housework/paces/reads either when he's anxious about CXS in a dive or it's a slow part

2024 Mazda CX-90 - Interior Review
2024 Mazda CX-90 – Interior Review: Are you wondering what’s going on inside the 2024 Mazda CX90? Well, let’s take a look. The cx90 is a brand new three-row SUV, and Mazda’s biggest and most luxurious offering to date is the eight trims, which are available starting at $ 37,845; a few of those eight trims can move eight people. Something not all its competitors can say is that the pricier trims…

do you have any tips for someone starting their own ClanGen comic? Huge fan of your work! I love seeing prehistoric animals in this type of group, and your art is awesome!
I meeeeean, my personal experience is *Shia Labeouf voice:* "JUST DO IT!" 'Cause what do you have to lose?
I drew Moon 0 just to see how fast i could do it, the answer being, uh, idk, all of May 17th lol
Tumblr media
No plan, no practice, no expectations. And tbh for a clangen comic, that's what I would recommend most people do! I mean, have some planning if you want, but don't wait until you are 'good enough' because it won't happen.
I get bogged down by brainstorming, which is why every other comic/idea i've had has ultimately died/never started, the clangen format makes me less focused on it, i think
Rapidfire tips:
Handy dandy Resources for Comicers
This is the brushpack i use to streamline backgrounds
Anatomy is important but worry about expressions first!
Read other comics!
Be your own biggest fan!
Speed>Quality (yeah Pav, get on that u loser)
Deviate from the RNG for plot!
CHOOSE A GOOD NAME
(plz i can't tell 90% of clangens apart by name it makes it hard to get invested or find them again)
Make sure you're enjoying it!
no fr, if you're not having at least some fun, why are you here?
Also ty! I am more of a general artist than a comic artist, but I'm giving it a fair go cx

I can't really tell where it's coming from but I'm getting extremely fed up with the seemingly performative pearl clutching about anything even slightly outré, subversive, confrontational, hostile or ironic. I'm watching this seemingly intelligent small YouTuber trying to analyze Funny Pizza Land and expressing (fake?) puzzlement about why the key bindings are so bad and why the creator's games generally aren't "fun". and it's like buddy if you didn't read Monster Killers while it was running I don't know if you are going to be able to figure out that, well you know, the medium is the message and everything. it kind of reminds me of pyrocynical's embarrassing (for him) interview footage with the Cruelty Squad creator (whom I think is actually younger, I. his twenties). where did you get your ideas?? why does everything suck so bad in your games??? my man it's because everything sucks irl and making this kind of sincere-irony ugliness is a way of exploring that fact/assumption/central thesis and I think having typed all this out that I've figured out that most people younger than 30 rn maybe have just grown up already with everything being such garbage that even noticing it or pointing it out seems alien to most of them. also it is a factor of pure age, you do gain additional levels of Irony Posting the older you get (if you're doing it right). and sincerity posting, it goes both ways.
I also hate to say it but I do think a certain amount of sitting in classical arts and writing classes makes you a lot better at skipping over all the performative shock and getting right into meeting the text directly where it originates and immediately engaging with what it's trying to show you. that's kind of what formal education is for, they teach you to do that. saying and thinking "this is so weird guys right like it's weird it's so weird and bizarre" is actually a waste of your time and your audience's, if you have one. it's a dead end. just get past it as quickly as possible and start your real reading. it's a form of struggling against actual coherency and it will just put you behind schedule and make you tired.
anyway I would like to watch or read or listen to analysis of Funny Pizza Land and Monster Killers and Cruelty Squad by people who aren't 20 years old and have actually read Helene Cixous and etc but no one has made a YouTube series yet where they Gamecenter CX Werner Herzog and Slavoj Zizek and then edit it into a 90 minute presentation on my personal computer so I take what I can get
