i can just imagine how sweet he is to his little family with lucas and ines being so young, he definitely anticipates coming home to them every day with them spilling the stories from their little lives. he loves that when he wakes up early to shower for work, he also gets some time alone with the kids, and get them ready for the day and i feel like he’s just such an engaged father and genuinely care about what their lil minds are thinking.

not only is he a great dad but he’s a MARVELOUS husband… he loves looking after his family but at the end of every night, you know damn well he’s counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds to put the kids down and hold on you. especially now that your pregnant, he loves talking about baby names and things he wants to do differently and try and he wants to be as involved as possible whenever he can.

Javier’s favorite past time these days is holding you close in the kitchen when you’ve team worked together on putting the kids to bed. You always handle Lucas so gently, and your husband gets to be in charge of getting Inés Peña, the menace, to brush her teeth. It’s sometimes a struggle to get the toothbrush into her reluctant mouth, but you always say that he handles it beautifully, because they look so alike; she always sports his own attitude to things that she doesn’t want to do. You also think that Javier is the best girl dad you’ve ever seen. It’s very sexy.

And then it’s quiet in the little home you’ve created, and Javier comes up behind you as you are wiping down the kitchen counter after doing the dishes. He snakes his arms around your waist, slots his fingers together, places them under your pregnant belly then lifts.

It rids you of the weight of his baby for just a moment. You sigh contentedly, lets relief wash over you, let out a mhmm.

“I checked, and they’re both asleep soundly,” he notes, still holding your belly up, “Lucas snores a little, you know.”

“Inés told me that she want her baby brother to be called Bandito,” you lean back into his broad, warm chest. It rumbles as he laughs.

“Ay,” he inhales as he rests his nose in your hair, “And here I was going to suggest Mateo or Sebastian, but I think we have a winner.”

“Sebastian? That’s new.”

“¿Te gusta?”

You hum to say yes, then, reluctantly, turn around in his arms so that he has to let go of your belly. You kiss him, softly in the beginning, but pregnancy hormones quickly turn it into something more.

“Asleep you said?” You reach for his belt.

“Won’t hear a thing.”

hii i didnt see this. im gonna apologize right away bc this is not gonna be organized i have talked soooo much today already and im tired lol.

for starters what i think was done best is flint and madis dynamic. its incredibly well played both as individual characters and as representatives of pirates and maroons in relation to empire. their chemistry is crazy and their dialogues are extremely didactic. i also find that flint not immediately viewing the maroons as natural allies but as tools to reach his own purposes and later deconstructing that after getting involved with them aggregates to his ongoing theme of progressive radicalization which i think is also a highlight of the maroon arc in the way it makes it explicit for good that his political stance has done a 360 and is now entirely discordant from the one he had as a lieutenant in every aspect that matters. freeing and partnering with the maroons is expected after that and i dont think theres anything special on that regard. then the shitty parts are essentially everything else. especially steinberg admitting he stalled to really explore the topic of slavery due to not being in his element as a white guy but still not putting black people on the team to do it. this reflects very obviously in the show and makes the entire arc feel rushed and reticent besides leaving a billion loose threads and missing opportunities to appropriately explore character dynamics that couldve been way more interesting (such as silver/julius/flint & madi/eme & madi/eleanor & eleanor/scott) and really engage confidently in the impact that flint and the pirates having canonically sold slaves would have had in their relationship. speaking of julius i also very much felt like it was a tragedy to hinder his presence and had they started it earlier or extended it longer his perspective on war vs. protecting his community as opposed to madi’s for example would have been probably my favorite part of the arc. i know the version in my head of it is. all in all its a vital arc for the story and everyone slayed really hard with with they had i just wish the creators hadnt shied away from all the implications of it. if i had the energy to go look for some posts for u i would bc my mutuals have definitely also discussed this before but alas. thanks for asking anyways feel free to add ur own thoughts or question mine further

KATHLEEN FROM TLOU SOooo true. The show was great all the characters were great and nuanced and then Kathleen comes around and they make her an unhinged emotional child killing monster. Like that's supposed to make me ponder whether or not she was right to kill all those cops.... 🤨

No FR. The show tries to make her seem like the bad guy when she’s literally right? They’re like “ur brother would’ve forgiven that guy who got him killed” and she’s like “that’s exactly why he died” AND SHES NOT WRONG??? Her revenge isn’t petty, i know henry has Sam but even he realizes he literally is allowing fedra to destroy this community. Also btw REALLY weird they made Sam younger and deaf as if to make the idea of him being killed more “evil” it feels really gross.

In the game the way the game is shown exclusively from Joel’s perspective allows us to be empathetic but also acknowledge his views on the fireflies is extremely one sided and biased and he isn’t doing the right thing. But the show goes out of its way to positively portray anyone who is even REMOTELY like Joel. And it sucks cuz some of the best episodes come out of it and yet their implications for the larger politics of the show is weird.

Why does Bill an ancap who hordes resources get a gentle off screen death? What he does is immoral but because it’s not actively “”mean”” he gets to go into that quiet good night where as Marlene and Kathleen dont??

What he did has consequences as much as Kathleen but she has to be gruesomely killed as comeuppance after a contrived scene where she doesn’t tell anyone abt the zombies just cuz???? I rlly don’t like how the show makes her randomly want to kill civilians for no reason just to make her the bad guy cuz they can’t handle the reality that anti fascism is a complicated and messy and non peaceful reality at times but it’s still right. They couldn’t handle that. So then they add the magical non violent commune to retroactively be like “see Kathleen should be more like that” as if Joel doesn’t go on to kill anyone he disagrees w anyway. Niel is a liberal centrist who openly admitted the way he writes the the fireflies comes From his own weird views on the I/P conflict and I think it explains a lot.

Kathleen couldve been a nuanced depiction of the necessary violence that comes with needing to take down fascism and what it means to be a good person who makes tough sacrifices for the greater good. Give actual legitimacy to the other side, to the fireflies decision w Ellie later, so that when Joel murders them all it gives u the same gross feeling it does in the game.

But Niel literally shat all over his co creator Bruce Straley of the game by letting HBO give him sole credit and not acknowledge, involve, or pay Bruce at all for the show? So he clearly doesn’t care abt integrity.

the thing for me abt "artificial intelligence" visual art is like. it EASILY couldve been handled like actual art. like it EASILY couldve been someone like presenting the code of their like qualitative information statistics reader as an interactive art piece drawn from public domain art with the creator of the code being the "artist" but those who interact and those whose public domain art is used (or even if someones non-public domain art was willingly contributed) all also being considered contributing "artists" -- and it wouldve sparked like an actual interesting conversation about what is art and how art and access is valued !!! it couldve been so sick!!! for a literal zero amount of change in effort for those involved it could have been such an interesting interaction of collective creativity made willingly with like each result listing what sources it drew from when it gave u its final image and i mean ZERO change in effort

there couldve been a lot explored through his character if gotouge ever bothered showing him talking to anyone that wasnt tanjirou or genya, like i kinda imagine sanemi as this awkward misunderstood autistic introverted guy whos been sucked into his extroverted besties' friend groups but all we ever see is him seconds away from biting genyas head off and beating the shit out of tanjirou, it gives such a skewed perspective of sanemi and makes him feel extremely shallow when it really didnt have to be but thats just imo

Content Creation rarely has a space for dysfunction or disorder

I think its very rare in any community that involves "having a brand" or consistently creating content that makes a space for neuro-divergent people or people who struggle with executive dysfunction (ADD/ADHD, etc). Video Editing, Photo Editing, 3D Modeling, Meshing, recording, Patreon, Merchandising, etc; everything is commodified or run like a businesses, and nobody can, has to, or will stop or slow down (for several reasons).

Every content creator is commendable for their work in every single fandom or space. They will make it known the amount of time, dedication and that is required, the burnout, the workload, etc.

Some want to do the same with their own potential but can't even begin (even if they've been trying to) but their brain is telling them no. They can't complete the simplest of tasks in let alone LIFE alongside the workload that is involved in content creation.

It's "you'll regret not doing this--you'll regret wasting all that time and years of your life while people who can function better than you did what you wanted to do" or "you couldve created this, you had this idea" .

it's "Wow, somebody's struggling through college while doing all of this in their off time and you're still just sitting there, trying?" as if thats a good thing to be insecure about.

it's Picking up things for all of 5 minutes and then discarding and abandoning them for 12 other things that will be discarded or kept in a queue. Creating but never actualizing. Imagining but never doing (or never getting far).

i literally didnt do that though?? i didnt even ship ryan and min before i watched the show. i was just pointing out that the way they set up the entire premise of the season and the way the crew interacted with the fandom indicated that their relationship would have a more explicit romantic undertone and i literally never said that i want the creators to say “fuck no these characters arent gay”, i literally clarified that i know they were just happy people were relating to their characters HOWEVER they easily could’ve given the fandom a heads up not to expect canon lgbt rep. so many people were asking about it, they easily couldve responded to one of those questions by telling their audience not to get their hopes up and expect canon rep, its literally not spoiling the show in any way, it’s literally just preventing their audience from feeling baited. they had no intention of following through with making rymin canon so they shouldve been more open about their intentions with their storyline and careful about how they interacted with the fanbase. also literally how tf am i “trying to ship everything” just bc i pointed out that the way one specific ship in the show was treated came off as very queerbaity to me? y’all just go on anon and make completely unprompted assumptions about people just bc they have criticisms of a show you like that you dont agree with

ANON I GET U SO COMPLETELY. i was think about this so much. like whenever i see ccs hangout together i think “wow that person couldve been having a mental breakdown bc of thousands of people targeting them and their entire autonomy online” or “that person mightve seen people truth them as lgbt the other day” but bc its all online …. how does it translate to their actual lives? their cc circles? how they interact irl? like i think about my own friends and think about how far away my “online life” feels after spending time in real life. and like being a cc is a rly interesting mesh of both online persona and real person, esp in streamers, bc its both a mix of a persona for entertainment but also reality in the longevity. like streamers have a significant less of a persona than like youtubers who might put up a fromt for an hour before going back to normal. for twitch streamers their personas are a mix of a persona/exaggeration and their actual selves bc of the interesting medium that it is. i can go on a rant about this but ill shut up. i think for a lot of these guys they arent invested into the internet like we are. like the way cishet men perceive stuff on here is very different than how a lot of us who have been on here, involved with discourse and conditioned to feel certain things perceive stuff. like i imagine myself in george’s shoes and shake and cry but i know george does not care bc he probably feels more secure in his identity/doesnt hold the perception a massive audience has of him the same way we probably would, bc we’re online all the time and have been in these circles longer and life here probably feels “equal” to real life in a specific sense. it probably has to do with us making the internet a large part of our identities/creating profiles for ourselves here that we lives through/just exist under, whereas they created PERSONAS to create content and anything “real” is specific to their friends. although obviously they are heavily linked to their online personas and a lot of it is still real and them, but in terms of the way they are perceived, theres a bigger disconnect between online and real life. but for some ccs or in some issues that i might talk about later, the perception of themselves, online or not, becomes a lot more raw and actually genuinely stressful and embarrassing bc it affects specifically how certain ccs view of them, whose opinions hit a lot closer to themselves. does any of that make sense? sorry i derailed a lot but this is something ive thought about a bunch 😭

1. Tattletail

Who wouldn't see our favorite snitch? Baby Talking Tattletail is loud when I comes to mama popping out of nowhere, but I still love this fuzzy furry ... Tattletail thing :).

2. Yan-Chan

Ayano is a character I decided to draw because I was starting to become a fan of Yandere Simulator again. I stopped being interested in the Fandom 4 years ago. After we moved and all that, I finally got my dad to get the game. so seeing a whole bunch of newbies all at once when I started playing it for the first time surprised the heck out of me. That and all the new clubs, New methods to kill people, also rivals who I heard of a little bit, but not much. I missed A LOT of this fandom, because now I am hearing drama between the creator, YandereDev, and the fans. Apparently the game couldve been developing in two weeks, but it didn't, and he threatened to kill himself, which I don't believe he would do that. But it's stuff I don't really want to be involved with. But I do feel sorry for YanDev. Working endlessly for 6 years trying to satisfy the players and try to make a great experience for them in the game. So into the next character.

3. Applejack

AJ is also a character I wanted to draw because I hardly draw her, like at all. And I was lazy so I didn't want to draw her with her braids in her hair. (Or mane, whatever). So I wanted to draw her running with her hat flying of. (Totally not from Yandere Chan and her knife).

4. Timas

Tim was one of the 5 children you will have to encounter in a game called Wick. I just felt like drawing him again. Also I kinda want to beat the game, but I feel like I can't until my parents are in the mood to. After all, we started the game together, might as well end it together, too.

5. Reed

The Twelve fandom is way to underrated. It needs more love, and so does Reed. Reed is a sad, hopeless boi (kinda like Cypress :'D), and he has been abused by his dad, so he became abusive towards his ex, Ivy.

He needs love. Also this is him hunting or something.

6. Yellow Guy

Also known as Doi, or Manny to fans. But I prefer to call him Yellow Guy until his name is announced. But I get the fannon names. Also I draw him a lot for some reason. Doi is good boi. (I regret nothing)

7. Fone Bone

I'm pretty sure that the BONE fandom isn't a well known fandom (or if it is even a fandom) but I put Wick in here and nobody knows the fandom, either. (I'm not even sure if Wick is even a fandom, but I've seen fanart enough to think it is, so). I still like the book series even after my middle school years. So yah, great book series, hope people will read it. They don't have to anyways but I'll be glad.

8. Cub

Cub and Pop were really... Interesting characters in Happy Tree Friends. I remember this one episode where Cub was stuck in the garbage disposal because he was taking a bath and his father flick the wrong switch in the kitchen and instead of turning on the light, he shredded his baby's bottom half of his body. Death happens and such, maybe watch the episode just to see what happens. Now as I type about it, kinda reminds me of What Remains of Edith Finch when Kai leaves her baby in the tub just to answer the phone, which was ringing. And for some reason, the bath water started to run and fill up the tub with the baby in it still, and... Well.... You'll know what happens next. Anyways let's just continue.

9. Everyone's favorite sociopath who wants to blow up the school for love.

That's right, Yander- I mean... JD. Yeah, that's who I meant. Apparently he had a gun, because... oh that's right, he shot ran and Kurt for raping veronica. Man this musical is jacked up. But it's thrilling and I love the fandom. He is also my favorite. Not because I'm fallen for him or anything (like literally every girl or possibly guy who does). I'm not into fictional characters. I just feel sorry for him because of his past. And because he seems cool. (Shut up.)

10. Leafy!!

My all time favorite character from BFB. She is trying her best to be friendly and kind. She is having a hard time being wanted. So I feel bad for her. But that's not the reason why I like her! Before I posted this, I watched BFB 22 and I ABSOLUTELY loved it! Her and Firey FINALLY talked things out and I'm happy that they're proper friends again! So yah, I like her! It's because she had it ruff. Kinda like MapleShade from my last post. (Note: I drew her here before bfb 22 came out).

if you havent read this AMA that happened today with the creator of Hot Wheels Highway 35 Universe, you better check it!!!

heres some that caught my eye!

There were tons of things in development that got cut. A lot of it had to do with Gelorum's plan and how Kurt fit into it. There were some additional set pieces like the ocean terrain. You can see some of it in the comics and Target special comic and the videogame.

i have theorized and questioned numerous times what couldve consisted of more story on Gelorum and Kurt, and how they met or what more involvement they couldve had and boy it hurts to know they had it in mind and planned but just couldnt keep it in.

Our original ending explained what exactly the hell was going on with the Wheel, Gelorum, the SCRIM and the CLYP. It would have set up the cosmology a lot more clearly. It killed us to see the series just sort of trail off plot-wise. We were told that little kids didn't need so much explanation...!

i would pay so much for a proper ending that went over SCRIM/CLYP...god, there was so much not explained about them at all.

its kinda sad to hear how much they apparently had planned to explain because it really makes the universe seem WAY more full than what the movie explained. watching the movie, i felt like a lot was missing and that the world wasnt developed, but obvious it was and they just werent able to show it all.

The storyline that picked up the threads of our work in Acceleracers was NOT what we had originally created. The Accelerons were not quite as dark in our work, and there were conflicting factions within them that would have made interesting mixes and matches for the characters. Some of that is hinted at in the later episodes of Acceleracers.

oh man, conflicting organization within the accelerons?? more in depth accelerons?????? im so.. sad we never got more of what the Highway 35/World Race accelerons wouldve been. as much as i like the dark vibe of Acceleracers, i feel like they missed the mark on Acceleron lore and they came off very...boring by the time they appeared (for like, two minutes). mostly saying “would have made interesting mixes and matches for the characters” implies there were likely ideas for interactions with the accelerons and characters in the race.

Great question! We had a fairly convincing reason for Vert to get the Deora 2, and even wrote it into the script. Mattel wanted us to get to the action faster and felt we didn't need to explain so much to the young audience. We were indeed going to compare Vert more to his Dad by illustrating that he had faster reflexes and greater driving sense than even his skilled military father. The car was built for Vert's Dad, but Tezla switched the designation to Vert at the last minute.

I am surprised to see how close the theory was about the Deora II not being for Vert! and im so happy to get a real answer about it. Sure we dont know exactly what Tezla’s reasoning is as i imagine they cant say, but this brings up a whole load of new questions.

Regarding fleshing out the characters, yes we wanted a lot more. We wanted to explore more about why Kurt Wylde was doing what he was doing. We had a cool plot thread for Esmeralda, who I really liked. Such was not to be. But all team leaders were the ones we wanted.

[earlier post] I loved Esmeralda and had big plans for her, but she was diminished in the first series and I lost control of her in Acceleracers. 

Already went over Kurt, but Jeff mentions a few times that he had plot ideas for Esmeralda, which wouldve been so nice! i have complained in the past about how lacking the female characters were, and to know that they did care about them and have ideas that never made it out makes me very happy.

Yes, Jack [Wheeler] fixed Gig.

The design process is really interesting. My original concept was that the World Race took place in the real world on tracks that phased into our reality from the Acceleron dimension. So you can race on tracks that were hundreds of feet off the ground, winding around skyscrapers and farms and mountains and landmarks around the planet. That's why you saw the cars and characters racing around the real world in the comics. In our mythos, both of these things happened (the race ran around the world and through the Acceleron dimensions).

this was a question i had on mind and couldnt recall them ever clearing up in the movie!! thank god i have an actual answer now!!!

In the show bible, Hot Wheels City is a central point in the Acceleron dimension. That's how we saw it in the series finale.

I was disappointed that the producers dispatched Banjee, and couldn't really understand why, because he was so good humored and egotistical, a fun character. I'll say it here: Banjee did not die. He is a Silencerz. The action fig you see pop up from time to time is real.

The answer is basically yes, SCRIM and Silencerz are roughly the same organization. But their motivations and techniques changed from our bible. The CLYP were a renegade group of Accelerons that wanted to use a kind of speed force to conquer the various realms (powered by the Wheel of course).

To me, Gelorum was an android originally designed to fool humans over the course of time, so she needed to appear to function like a human. So it stands to reason that even though she is messed up in Acceleracers, she's still functioning like a human, which includes hair growth.

always kind of nice to get some idea of how a character like Gelorum function even if its simply just the idea Jeff Gomex had and never made canon for sure.

- afaik, the victim (amanda/@/aLynn_mc1 on twt) came out with a thread sometime yesterday, saying dream reached out to her during 2020 when she was a minor. her age was cloudy for a while, but she confirmed her bday to be feb 17 2004--meaning she was 15, 16 at the time and dream was 20. (this conversation was friendly and not explicit or flirty.)

- there's a large gap where amanda has a bf and they stop talking, but jan 17 2022 they get back in contact and dream gives her his snap. on snap they sext, he sends her nudes and other explicit pictures--she is still 17 at the time, he is now 22. according to a timeline she retweeted the sexting stopped after she turned 18 that feb

- some of her tweets are contradictory, her story is blurry and theres gaps. she could have a poor memory, idk.

- on dream's side, he admits that the insta and twt convos could be real. amanda had used the fact that dreams tiktok showed "from your contacts" as proof, he says his tiktok is connected to a google voice number and cant use imessage.

- he says multiple times that she had 18 in her bio (she has admitted to lying abt her age, but recently has been completely transparent on it. she was not 18.)

- he says amanda and her bf are involved w leaktwt and uses this to discredit them.

- he says that his team has access to all of his accounts, i guess as a way to be like "i wouldnt do this, my team couldve seen it." he says the reason he thinks this is happening is bc he stopped using his old snap where he would casually chat w ppl and switched to a different one just for friends and family.

- hes also taking legal action against amanda. he probably wont be able to talk publicly abt this again until after thats finished, so he wont be defending himself further/any proof he has to defend himself will now be legal evidence

- dream doesnt provide any actual proof, just says its not true. he really shouldnt have been msging fans in the first place. her age doesnt really matter; she was a fan and he was a creator, he had power over her anyway.

- also to be mentioned; there have been other girls coming forward to attempt to confirm that the snapchat was dream's. some people were saying there was two victims, but i couldnt find this confirmed anywhere. people were also claiming that a lot of the screenshots have been proven fake, but other than dream just SAYING theyre fake, i havent seen any actual proof. people are also saying she's deleting stuff, ive only seen one thing she was confirmed to have deleted where she said the r word.

I failed so hard, that the only way to survive was to learn. If you are an entrepreneur or are just starting off, my experience can help.

An entrepreneur is someone who jumps out of an airplane and figures how to build a parachute on the way down.

I had heard that saying before, but being young and brash, I didnt bother much about learning how to build that parachute.

Most of the business ideas we get are driven by impulse.

We get struck by a thought, which converts into an idea and boom, next thing we know it we are at our comp researching how we can make that idea work.

Human beings are creators, we like to invent stuff and when we are not inventing stuff, we try to figure out better ways to do what is already being done.

That is how entrepreneurship works.

Which is why you hear of guys starting a bus ticketing app because they couldn’t go home for Christmas, or another guy starting a cab service aggregator because he couldn’t find a cab.

If you think about it, everything around us, that is man-made was first created out of thought.

The thought converted into an idea.

That idea was pursued tirelessly and it is probably something we use to this day, which includes the toilet seat.

If you are someone who is driven by the passion to bring their idea to life, it is good to move fast and break things, as Steve Jobs said, but, reading these personal experiences might help you keep things in check.

Knowing Your Audience

Let's understand something, most of the ideas which we get are driven by the 'me' attitude.

We think we need something and assume that others will need or want the same thing.

This is one of the biggest mistakes I made.

I am an event manager, and for the first Big Festival I planned, I figured getting A-List artists to perform at a festival  would sell. I went about the tedious task of finding investors and making sure the artists block the dates. Pumped in all resources to ensure the concert goes ahead as planned.

There was a problem though, those were artists whose music I used to love, not necessarily those who were trending at that time.

I got so involved in creating something which I thought would sell, that I didn’t bother to ask people about what they thought. I could pitch well enough to convince an investor though.

Long story short, The event did do well, but could have done soo much better in terms of conversions if had programmed a few current trending artists as well and created a good mix as I found out from the audience reviews written after the event.

It is important, that once you are struck by your business idea, you canvass around like crazy to understand if people within your network feel the same way. If they do then you might be able to draw up a somewhat accurate conclusion.

That will not only give you a good understanding of where you stand, but it will also tell you who your audience is.

A Good Product still doesn't sell itself.

Moving forward from my earlier point. The profile of the artists that I had did to a large extent contribute to us getting an audience for the event. But, it was no where near what we couldve got.

And for audiences to come find us, we needed to tell them more about it, which we fell short on. Any amount of marketing and networking you can do when you are starting is welcome.

As an entrepreneur 75% of your time when starting off needs to be spent telling people about what you do and networking.

My colleagues and I had gotten so involved with the nitty gritties of the festival and how we wanted everything to be the best that we fell short on marketing. It was like a cocoon we created for ourselves and when we came out of the cocoon, the event date had arrived.

If you are an entrepreneur who tends to be an introvert and focus on people finding you, you might learn the hard way that the world moves quick.

Make sure you meet and talk to as many people as possible about what you are doing.

Asking for help

I was arrogant enough to not ask for help from Industry Colleagues. Asking them and accepting their help would have taught me lessons I probably didn’t need to learn by myself.

You might generally shy away from asking for help or you could be too arrogant to ask for help and guidance.

But, if you do find someone experienced, who has been there and done that and is willing to help, then, my god that is a big advantage

Planning

An idiot with a plan can beat a genius without a plan - Warren Buffet.

When you are starting a business, it is important that you have a plan to get the show on the road.

We had a plan that we kept changing,and at the end of it we found our selves torn in all directions with everything being important and not knowing where to start.

Prioritizing

You have a limited amount of time during the day.

Make a list of the most important tasks you have to complete during your day. Prioritize that list and reduce it further according to their importance.

I wanted to do everything ! Its a personality flaw I deal with on a daily basis, and it is irritating because it affects everything.

Warren Buffets' 5/25 rule would help here. If you have a list of 25 things on your schedule, figure out which 5 are the most important and do those, forget the remaining 20 until they become as important.

Also, some of the most successful people in the world schedule their most difficult tasks for the day as the first thing in the morning.

Choosing Who You Talk to and Work with

You might have tremendous and supportive friends and Touchwood to that.

You will probably have friends who would want to partner with you on your venture.

It is easy to get caught up with the idea that friends working together will be great.

STOP.

Treat it objectively, friends working together can go very wrong.

There are many reasons

The business might not be a priority for them.

They might be too negative.

And so on.

Me and my colleagues had reached a point where we needed to address the reality that if we were to still meet up for drinks on evenings then we could not work together any longer.

If you think of yourself as a mobile phone, imagine you wake up every morning with a 100% charge and you get to work and you have to deal with this every day.

Now stop and think, if who you are working with right now aligns with your thought process.

Never stop learning

You will make mistakes. You need to make sure you do not get dejected and learn from those mistakes.

While planning that event I would find out something new everyday, every evening I would realize I couldve approached something in a better way. 

I learnt things the hard way, but I can take pride in the fact that I nurtured those learnings which have helped me evolve.

However big and great your idea is, what is most important from a growth perspective is that you never stop learning.

You will be rejected.

You will be made fun of.

You will have days that you will want to give up.

People are going to shoot you down and some of your best friends are going to try to find cracks in your armor and poke fun at you.

You are going to find people who are at the same level as you telling you it's not going to work, because they have a hunch.

Advice is the cheapest commodity on earth and most people you meet have tons of it.

Fuck them.

Believe in your idea.

Find others who believe in your idea.

Work with them.

I learnt these things the hard way, I lost quite a lot of money at that event, but that was the best learning I received. It made me stronger.

The part where building a parachute comes in after jumping out is you identifying red flags and replacing what doesn't work with what does work.

Just make sure you show up every day and are ready to go.
