Tolkien uses the words “faggot” and “queer” in their original contexts a lot in Lord of the Rings (a bunch of sticks for kindling, very odd,) and I totally get it, but I’m also giggling to myself very hard every time a character at one of the Fellowship’s many camping stops says they feel queer and then goes looking for faggots.
