"What is with you recently?" Peri asked, both irritated and a little concerned, "You've been acting out even more than usual for an anti-fairy."

"My behavior is none of your concern, I am perfectly fine." Irep replied, crossing his arms, almost pouting. He had stopped flying next to Peri about five minutes ago, and now sat on the floor, looking up at him, sticking his tongue out at his counterpart.

"It is my concern when you're trying to turn the couch into a shark!" Peri snapped, though as soon as he caught Irep's subtle gestures, he stopped. Crossed arms, pouting, sticking his tongue out.. Irep was naturally childish for sure, but Peri could read him like a book. He floated down to sit next to him and opened his arms, testing something. "C'mere, bubba."

Irep looked at him for a moment before scooting closer and practically diving into his arms, nuzzling his head into his chest. Peri sighed and hugged him back. "You could have just said something if you wanted my attention, bubs." He gently reminded, giving one of his bat wings a gentle rub, knowing it helped him relax.

Irep nodded, though Peri could tell he wasn't really listening. "Were you playing with the couch because you wanted to see sharks, kiddo?"

Irep nodded again.

So, using his magic, Peri floated them both up into the air. He held Irep in one arm, and with the other he grabbed his wand and cast the spell. The lights dimmed, and suddenly the space around them was filled with sharks made of soft golden dust, calmly swimming around them.

Irep pointed to the closest one. "Nurse shark."

Peri smiled and held him up more so he could see better. "Good job, bubba, you're so smart! What's that one over there?"

"Tiger shark!"

"And that one?"

"Bull... shark." He yawned.

Peri noticed the way Irep was fully leaning into him now, his head on his shoulder. He rubbed his back and smiled softly. The golden sharks always got him sleepy. "Do you know that one?"

Irep's eyes felt heavy and his fist made its way to his mouth. "Thresher..."

"Good job." Peri whispered, gently removing Irep's hand from his mouth so he didn't accidentally hurt himself with his fangs. Instead, he poofed up a pacifier and slipped into his mouth.

"Let's get you to bed, shall we?"

Friendships I wish we could have seen/seen more of in SU:

JASPER AND AMETHYST - this comes as a surprise to no one, especially those who have followed me for awhile

Amethyst and Lapis - they would've took HELLA naps

Bismuth and Jasper - they're both super beefy, they both love fighting, they both love puns. They would go from bitter rivals to besties after just one fight. Maybe even more 😉

Steven and Peedee - I just love all the potential for silly Peedee / Pink Diamond (PD) parallels

Steven, Connie, and Peedee - Peedee would be the much-needed voice of reason for Steven and Connie to ignore. A very responsible third wheel.

Nephrite and Steven - she was literally in the first episode and was a recurring character in Steven's healing corruption journey. I need more.

Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper - I wish we could have gotten more Homeworld squad after Jailbreak but before Peri joined the CGs, but alas, Malachite happened.

Peridot and Garnet - I just think they're neat. I wish I could be an aroace gremlin to a tall, badass lesbian

Lapis and Jasper - It would be funny to see them trying so hard to be normal around each other but Jasper just can't, CANNOT talk to Lapis without bringing up Malachite. She doesn't want to talk about it, but she just can't stop herself.

All four of the main Pearls - sounds fun in theory but Pearl and Yelp would immediately start arguing while Volley and Bloop dissociate in a corner. It would be sad but funny, as most Pearl scenes tend to be.

Amethyst and Volley - they would have so much fun doing human stuff together, until Ame starts to notice similarities between Volley and Rose, and then it starts to get weird.

Greg and Vidalia - idk I just like their dynamic. Greg needs more interactions with human adults.

What if Peridot was an original crystal gem?

I think thats a neat concept, and i've definitely seen some art of the concept before, so I approve 100%!

If you're asking me how I think it would change the narrative, I think it would actually stay kinda similar to how it originally played out. A defective Peridot who joined the Crystal Gems just before the end of the war, now trapped on this planet that was supposed to be home, and eventually, it will be home.

I think since she's small & doesn't have many abilities (other than being techy. in this, I imagine she still doesn't find out about her metal powers til later with Steven & Amethyst) and mostly is good with machines, the CGs would kinda treat Peri like Steven, in the sense that most missions are too dangerous to bring them along unless there's something that's Gem-Tech based, in which case Peridot FINALLY get to go along. Though, I think there would end up being two Peridots eventually, since during the season one finale a Peridot does come to Earth with Jasper because Peridots are Kindergarten certified. Though, maybe the Peridot that comes to Earth with Jasper is non-defective, so that could make an interesting dynamic between the two Peridots as the gang try to redeem Dot (the 2nd Peridot)

I can only imagine the inner conflict. Here's a Peridot who came out how she's supposed to, and they want her on the team. Will they not love OG Peri as much? Will they not need her tech knowledge anymore? Will she be overshadowed/forgotten about? Much angst but also an opening for a nice resolve & kinship between the two Peridots (hey I left because society said I was wrong & broken, and you left because of the systemic abuse etc. wanna be family about it?)

Adia is from Nex. Her father is a sylph and her mother is a tiefling from Cheliax. They're both university professors. They're disappointed that she did not inherit the family propensity for magic, but she did inherit her father's connection to air. She's the youngest of three sisters. She came to the River Kingdoms to try to make a name for herself and help people. Her romance is Tristian.

Delta is from Cheliax, descended from Chelaxian colonizers and Sargavan natives. Her peri blood was a great surprise to everyone, and she found it stifling in a land committed to worshiping devils. I don't think I'll have her romance Varn, but I might steal her and her original planned build (Wizard/Cleric/Mystic Theurge) if I ever do Beneath the Stolen Lands.

Liza is from Uringen in the River Kingdoms, a town with half a foot in the Material Plan and half a foot in the First World. Her mother is a half-orc adventurer and her father is a half-elf alchemist, and her mother left her to be raised by her father but still visits occasionally. She's a bit shy and socially awkward, and while she doesn't have the best developed sense of morality she trends toward trying to do the right thing. She's trying to romance Kalikke.

Mary Rose is from Magnimar, Varisia. She was raised in a temple to Desna after she was abandoned there as a baby. She is the least developed character here, despite being my first Kingmaker character, which is why she had been "demoted" to General. I am planning on having her romance Varn.

M!A: Everyone can now produce milk, no matter if they're a guy, or if they're as flat as a board.

The amount of milk made will exponentially increase the bigger their breast size is, though. So, the bigger, the milkier.

Lots of milk. Everywhere.

Flat and smaller bust gems like Peri, Spinel, and the Rutiles arent producing much but still are producing.

Humans like Vidalia and Priyanka heavily increased, lot for a human.

Bustier dry ones like the main 3 CG's, the other Off-Colors produce so much more, enough to fill a tub each.

And busty gems who already lactated were just continuously spewing enough milk for a pool.

Hmm... I can't seem to think of any Peridot fun facts other than that CG!Peri once claimed that her gem (and her fellow Peridots, I think) is a lot physically tougher than the average Gem?

That's alright, it's not stupid! I would just ask what kind of Peridot you're thinking of? Weapons tend to be based on the Gem's personality and personal style.

I'll do you a palette though, if you'd like- that's something I can do with just the gemstone as a prompt!

Oh also, canon Peri-wise: in the earlier days of the fandom, people were theorising that Peridot's weapon was a bomb. Honestly, I think she just doesn't have one and uses the ferrokinesis in its place, but man I do wish we had seen bomb Peri.

Really anything blue/green or teal would work but my Lapidot fusion has always been Chrysocolla- she likes TV shows and reading. She would watch sci-fi shows 'ironically' to pick apart how wrong they are and then keep watching anyway because she got invested in the storyline cJHSDJH

Her favourite hobbies are watching TV, writing a tv show she has never told anyone about ever, sculpting, and dressing up Pumpkin in funny little outfits then sending photos to Steven
