So I'm trying to learn Mandarin so I got this app, and part of the lesson is writing out the characters

And these lessons make me feel little, even if it's just a tiny amount, because they remind me of kindergarten, when we would trace the alphabet letters in our lesson books

And this genuinely is me learning the language and how to read and write

I personally never really enjoyed children's books when regressed because I already know how to read and write, I already know all these stories and the lessons and words

But doing it in another language that I'm actually learning helps so much and I like it more

does anyone else watch scary movies or listen to scary stories when little/middle, I want to know I'm not the only one

even as a kid I always enjoyed horror, so now I still listen to it when little, but mostly when I'm feeling a little older, like 7-12 (when I'm not playing LoZ)

But I also never really see anyone else talk about it either. Most of what I see in the agere tag is pretty aesthetic images (nothing wrong with that, I absolutely love them)

I have a really strong urge to regress but I'm in a motel with my grandparents. And even when I'm staying with my dad, I won't have the privacy to do so because I don't have a bedroom there, I sleep on the couch (which is fine, I always have because I stay there for short amounts of time)

I don't return back to my home state for another four days and the only toys subtle enough to pack were my fidget toy and this stuffed beetle keychain on my bag :(

I think the safest thing I can do is put my headphones on and watch cartoons on my phone :/

Since I can't sleep, I headcanon Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy as a regressor, with Peter as her caregiver

I know most people hc the opposite, but Gamora's childhood was stolen from her, and I actually think Peter would enjoy taking care of her. I think he'd enjoy doing things his mother used to do for him

The other guardians joke that he's more of a (stereotypical) mother figure than a father figure, but he absolutely is and he's aware of it.

He cooks for her, he fusses over her if she gets dirty or bruised up (this girl plays rough), he'll sit her down and brush and braid her hair to keep it from getting tangled, he's absolutely a girldad when it comes to little Gamora

Nebula and Drax babysit the most when Peter is unavailable

Drax is amazing with her, joking, playing, and carrying her around

But she's most clingy with Nebula, she's always got to be holding her hand or leaning on her, which Nebula is more than okay with, it feels like she's finally getting normal sister moments with her, even if she's now the big sister

Gamora's personality when regressed is strikingly different than her adult self. She's clingy, quite, and giggly. Just overall a smiley, happy little girl who tends to cling the most to Peter and Nebula. She does occasionally pull Rocket into her lap to hug like a teddy bear, and he'll reluctantly grumble and let her, not wanting to snap at her like he usually would.

Are 'caregiver moods' a thing? I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about it, but sometimes when one of my friends are having a really hard time, I get the urge to just step in and take care of them

Like talk to them gently, call them nicknames and encourage them to eat something, drink water, go to sleep, or watch something that brings them comfort (All platonically and sfw obviously)

I've never acted on this, and I've never told anyone, obviously that requires a conversation and consent

But I also can't even see myself being someone's caregiver, the last time I took that role, my patience and kindness were taken advantage of and I was manipulated

But I can see myself taking a short, temporary 'caregiver' position occasionally, not permanently

I don't know, does anyone else get this?

Yes!

For me, I like to think Bill wouldn’t really let himself feel anything but amusement and anger until after he’s forced into the Theraprism and forced to confront his feelings. I mentioned in an earlier ask that the first time he’d sorta-regress would be in session with the Axlotl, who would deem this therapeutic and effective for Bill’s recovery.

-Little Bill cries a lot, he doesn’t really have the comforts of his home or family, so for a long time, when regressed, he feels unsafe by these non 2D creatures

-The Axolotl is his caregiver. And the only one who will ever see Bill regressed (may change later). They usually get Bill to regress in less of a natural way (think Stan and Ford) and more in a therapy way, to address the root causes of Bill’s problems.

-After long enough, Bill does begin regressing without prompting, mostly when his thoughts get too dark or he feels too much. Because of this, the Axolotl has been keeper Bill much closer to them, so they may catch on if Bill regresses. They end up basically putting a room for Bill up next to their office

-Bill is very embarrassed of him regressing, bringing it up will make him huffy and angry. As time goes on, he gets more pouty and pissed about it

-Little Bill loves blocks (he cannot put the right shapes in the right holes) and those glow in the dark stars you put on your ceiling. His depth perception is off what with the one eye, but he does try his best to draw pictures. The lines don’t always connect, but Bill’s still proud of them nonetheless

-Sometimes he does cry about missing his best friend, IQ, but the Axolotl soothes him quickly with a stuffy of a Plaidypus

-Little Bill sleep with an eye mask on because he has a sensitive eye, and waking up with bright lights hurt them and he’ll be fussy and tearing up the rest of the day

-At first, the Axolotl saw Bill’s regression as more of a way to fix him and eventually release him, but with more exposure to Bill, both big and little, they truly grew to care for him

Stan isn’t always so forth coming about his regression with Ford. Like he won’t really tell Ford when he needs to be little, it’s still hard for him to be vulnerable with people, especially about this side of him. Ford has learned to look out for behavior indicating that Stan is on the brink of regressing down, if not little already. One sure fire way to tell if Stan is big or little is whether he has his dentures in. Because if there’s one thing his Little Lee (a nickname he likes to use for a regressed Stan) hates, it’s those dentures. They don’t really fit well in his mouth (Ford is trying to get Stan to get some better dentures-implants even-but Stan is stubborn about spending “unnecessary money”) and one time, he got scared when they fell out as he was coloring. So as soon as he’s regressed, those are spat out on to the nearest surface and he’s toddling off.

And when Ford finds a pair of dentures, he knows it’s time to hunt down his brother, get him changed (sanitize those dentures-on the bathroom floor, seriously?) and take the very best care of him

A regressed Stanley LOVES bath time. He loves to splash around in the warm water, and he doesn’t have a time limit (like when he was younger) so he can play around with his bath toys until the water gets cold. His favorite bath toy is this toy boat that will paddle through the water when you wind it up. He loves playing pirates with his little boat. He is, of course, the Captain of the SS Stan, but he graciously allows Ford (who makes sure to keep watch and keep the bathroom dry when his Little brother bathes. Stan splashes a lot) to be his first mate.
