FUCK YES HE IS. Leo's the type to inovate and unionize all school related activities. Your school starts winning awards for having such high grades and excellent students, and every single reason is easily traced back to Leo. He starts shared doccuments for every class so everyone can collaborativley take notes and help each other. He finds every answer to every quiz and test and assignment on quizlet or google drive or even some obscure place none of you have heard of. You get to bring one index card of notes for an exam and Leo shows yall how to use blue and red micron pens and blue and red film and a magnifying glass to get like three times the space. Leo is a fucking wizard who the faculty hate and the student body love because he (and by proxy you and your classmates) get away with it via malicious compliance and loopholes.

Instead of venting about assholes or being productive I'm just gonna point out that Durge does indeed get some memories back (ref: the dream that reveals ur heritage), but it's all just about Bhaal. Nothing about themselves in particular.

Its the worship, the prayer, the sacrifice, the slaughter, the Slayer. Durge doesn't remember themselves; they remember the lives they took for Bhaal, the blood spilled on his behest. Their own blood and it's control, or the lack thereof.

You don't get to remember your life, journeys, family, the things that made you the person you were before all this happened, before your heritage caught up to you. All you remember is Bhaal, your crimes and your purpose. All you recall is the red streams underneath your feet and their poor, unfortunate wells. Because a tool doesn't need to know how it was made - only it's purpose.

Luckily the "what if the SHARK impregnated our ray???" seems to be dying down and bigger news organizations have the corrected information in their articles, but I wanted to share this great blog post by marine conservation biologist David Shiffman that covers both the cool actual science that got overshadowed while actually calling out the facility for how unscientifically they handled it and for the fact that they doubled down (esp since newer media they've put out is softly backtracking and it looks like they're attempting to play it off as a joke that the news misreported. Nope. They put the idea out there like it was as possible as parthenogenesis while calling themselves scientists at a "shark lab")

Unfortunately, poor handling of this story has made it likely that we are on track for another year where the most-shared news story about a shark or ray is pseudoscientific nonsense, rather than about their dire conservation needs, their importance to marine and coastal ecosystems, or amazing new discoveries about them. As a longtime supporter of zoos and aquariums and the roles they play in public science education, I am especially troubled by some of the public-facing communications here. If your goal is sharing knowledge with the public, there’s value in gaining accurate knowledge about the subject yourself first. Sharing wrong facts is not “raising awareness” or educating the public, and falsely claiming “anything is possible, don’t trust the experts” is, to put it mildly, not helping the ocean.

It's a great article to drop in if the "omg shark/ray babies???" keeps spreading. Or if you just enjoy niche science drama. The aquarium world doesn't get much of that

Eyy I’d love to know your thoughts on BPD Macaque after all of that in the special

ERMMMM ive pretty much said all i had to in regards to season 4 in my updated analysis and i dont think the special really added much other than confirming the things i said !! things like macaque NOT being mad about being killed but being mad about being abandoned, wukong being macaques fp, etc etc.

their argument definitely Hit homeTM for me because i have been in macaques shoes before. plenty of times. due to my bpd. where the emotions just get so bottled up they boil over and then youre saying things you regret later on. im sure there was some truth to his words but its so obvious that he said those things as a spur of the moment, and alot of it couldve been entirely from him splitting on wukong.

even after their big argument, macaque still doesnt harbor hatred for wukong because of that bond they shared. and i think its so SO interesting peng is like "is there anything wukong can do to break his hold on you?" while he was fighting macaque because that really is how it feels to have a fp, especially one you held romantic implications with. its hard to seperate from them, no matter how much you wanna hate them you just cant. and the specials just solidified thats the case with wukong and macaque.

i think the special did well to confirm any loose ends in terms of macaques fpness and like. his emotion-driven actions. ALSO THE FACT THAT HES READ JTTW ????????? LIKE COMPLETELY ????????? TO THE POINT HE REMEMBERS WHAT EACH CHAPTER IS ??????????????? AUTISMCORE BUT ALSO. OBSESSION REAL !!!!!!!!! bpd macaque real.
