the ultimate goals for this year are to stop caring too much about what people think of me and to stop letting worry eat me alive

my earnest hope for 2025 is that everyone embraces being a little weirder and freakier and less judgmental bc we will all be better off for it like to charge reblog to cast

"oh, welcome back, new year's sense of mourning! i thought i had outran you this year!" i say in tears
"no one can outrun me. i am the ghost of things come and gone, and of things you'll never get back." the mourning replies.
#my garden of words#yeah. yeah#i just miss my niece.#this is your not so friendly reminder that you do not only grieve ppl who have died.#is this what scrooge felt like when the ghost of christmas future showed him how happy ppl would be bc he was gone?

making it through is the thing to be proud of.
even if nothing much happened this year that we’re proud of I think that making it through the year is the greatest accomplishment of all

I watch all the people around me dance with the memory of children they can't/won't have. while i don't think I can find the words to describe the pain I feel for them, I watch the people around me mourn the loss of a future they once hoped to obtain. I read the names of the would haves and i weep for the way that we collectively feel.

.... the list goes on but I do not think I have the space here to write all of them. the pain of having to remember someone before you ever had the chance to know them just. breaks a part of me.
I hope we remember this feeling so that we never have to feel it again.
