David Badash at NCRM:
Donald Trump has called immigrants “animals,” “monsters,” and “murderers,” and said they are “poisoning the blood of our country.” He falsely claimed they are responsible for a “surge in crime,” because “it’s in their genes,” and claimed they’re “eating the pets.” Trump, now the president-elect, reportedly plans to conduct a massive deportation operation of undocumented immigrants on his first day in office. “The American people delivered a resounding victory for President Trump, and it gives him a mandate to govern as he campaigned, to deliver on the promises that he made,” Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s national press secretary, told Fox News Wednesday, Newsweek reports. “Which include, on Day 1, launching the largest mass deportation operation of illegal immigrants that Kamala Harris has allowed into this country.”
Axios reports Leavitt says that “mass deportation operation” includes “millions of undocumented immigrants.” Back in September, Trump infamously had attacked President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and immigrants. “What they have done to our country by allowing these millions and millions of people to come into our country,” Trump said. “And look at what’s happening to the towns all over the United States. And a lot of towns don’t want to talk — not going to be Aurora or Springfield. A lot of towns don’t want to talk about it because they’re so embarrassed by it. In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating — they’re eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what’s happening in our country. And it’s a shame.” That same month Trump called for “remigration,” the forceful deportation of immigrants, including those in the U.S. under lawful and unlawful circumstances. He vowed to “end the migrant invasion of America,” and falsely characterized some programs that allow legal entry to the U.S. under law.
When Trump takes back the White House on January 20th, 2025, his second term will begin with economically ruinous large-scale deportations of undocumented immigrants.

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) sent a letter Tuesday to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) urging it to discontinue the use of a smartphone app required by migrants seeking asylum at the southern border to use.
The CBP One app, which was rolled out in 2021, was established to allow migrants to submit applications for asylum before they cross the U.S. border. Markey said in his letter that requiring migrants to submit sensitive information, including biometric and location data, on the app raises “serious privacy concerns,” and demanded that the DHS cease its use of it.
“This expanded use of the CBP One app raises troubling issues of inequitable access to — and impermissible limits on — asylum, and has been plagued by significant technical problems and privacy concerns. DHS should shelve the CBP One app immediately,” Markey said in his letter.
“Rather than mandating use of an app that is inaccessible to many migrants, and violates both their privacy and international law, DHS should instead implement a compassionate, lawful, and human rights centered approach for those seeking asylum in the United States,” he continued.
He said that the use of this technology has also faced technical problems, including with its facial recognition software misidentifying people of color.
“Technology can facilitate asylum processing, but we cannot allow it to create a tiered system that treats asylum seekers differently based on their economic status — including the ability to pay for travel — language, nationality, or race,” he said.
The app has negative ratings on both the Google Play and Apple app stores, with many users criticizing the app for crashing and other technical issues.

CBS cuts Vance’s mic while he’s explaining how the Biden/Harris admin has allowed over 800,000 migrants to enter the U.S. via the CBP One App “lawfully”. It then sounded like Walz claimed the CBP One app has been used since the 90s, which is completely false. The Biden/Harris admin started using it in winter 2023 to begin mass paroling migrants into the country by the hundreds of thousands, typically between 1,300-1,500 every single day.

In a bombshell report, an oversight body for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) found that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Enforcement (CBP), and the Secret Service all broke the law while using location data harvested from ordinary apps installed on smartphones. In one instance, a CBP official also inappropriately used the technology to track the location of coworkers with no investigative purpose. For years U.S. government agencies have been buying access to location data through commercial vendors, a practice which critics say skirts the Fourth Amendment requirement of a warrant. During that time, the agencies have typically refused to publicly explain the legal basis on which they based their purchase and use of the data. Now, the report shows that three of the main customers of commercial location data broke the law while doing so, and didn’t have any supervisory review to ensure proper use of the technology. The report also recommends that ICE stop all use of such data until it obtains the necessary approvals, a request that ICE has refused.
Always a bit awkward when the government surveillance scandal is "we used data that's publicly available for purchase which the government is not allowed to." Kinda wish there was some sort of examination of this when it happens.

Migrants making their way through Mexico en route to the southern United States border say they want to cross by November, in case legal routes are closed off to them if Donald Trump wins the presidential election.
Hundreds of people from around a dozen countries left Mexico's southern border on Sunday, heading north on the 1,800-plus mile journey to one of the border crossings with the U.S.
Some told the Associated Press that they were hard-working people who just wanted to reach a better life in America, but they feared a second Trump term would put a stop to that.
"We are running the risk that permits (to cross the border) might be blocked," Miguel Salazar, a migrant from El Salvador, told the AP.
Trump has promised tougher border controls and mass deportations as part of his 2024 campaign.
The permits that Salazar mentioned would come from U.S. Customs and Borer Protection's app, CBP One, which allows asylum seekers to make appointments at border crossings, but only once migrants reach Mexico City or northern parts of the country.
In June 2024, around 41,800 appointments were made through the app, but more than double that number made the crossing illegally.
While there are just under four months until the presidential election and six before the next president takes office, the path through Mexico has become harder and more time consuming for migrants in recent months.
Authorities there have been trying to ease the pressure on the U.S.-Mexico border, with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador arguing in June that his policy protected migrants from a "risky" crossing to the north.
His successor and mentee, President-Elect Claudia Sheinbaum, is widely expected to hew closely to his policies when she assumes office in October.
Some of those joining this latest caravan in Ciudad Hidalgo, close to the border with Guatemala, found out about it on social media, including Cuban Oswaldo Reyna, 55.
Reyna spoke out against Trump's claims that migrants were invading the U.S.
"We are not delinquents," he told the AP. "We are hard-working people who have left our country to get ahead in life, because in our homeland we are suffering from many needs."
New arrivals from South America, who have often already hiked hundreds of miles across difficult terrain, gather in southern cities waiting for permits to travel further into Mexico, some seeking asylum there, while others want to make it to the U.S.
The International Rescue Committee said in June that many struggled with misinformation about legal pathways to asylum or immigrant visas, either in the U.S. or Mexico, while many women and children suffer abuse on their journeys.
At the U.S. border, crossings were sharply limited by President Biden in June, when he introduced a cap on asylum seeker allowances.

STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT: 7 Critical Immigration Proposals for the Trump Administration
“Strike while the iron is hot.”
It’s an old proverb from the craft of metallurgy that means take advantage of an opportunity as soon as possible.
Donald Trump triumphed in the 2024 election, winning both the popular vote and electoral vote.
When Trump takes office on January 20, he needs to radically reform immigration policy immediately.
In fact, he and his team need to be working those plans out right now.
Here are seven recommendations.
1. SECURE THE BORDER
This is not rocket science. The goal is to secure the border to prevent illegal crossings.
By border, I mean the U.S.-Mexico border, the U.S.-Canada border, and the Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Use the Border Patrol, the Coast Guard, the National Guard, the regular Army and whoever else is needed.
It is totally doable. It’s a question of will. Trump can use his executive power to get it done.
2. ELIMINATE SKETCHY TRICKS THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS USING TO BRING PEOPLE IN
The Biden administration has a bag of tricks being used to flood the zone with aliens. These people aren’t even counted in the tallies of “border encounters.”
They’re using loopholes such as “parole,” the CBP One app, flying aliens into the U.S., and special programs for specific countries. Scrap all of these schemes.
3. DEPORT, DEPORT, DEPORT
Trump has promised “mass deportation.” Get on with it.
Remember, every illegal alien on U.S. soil, regardless of how long he’s been here, is liable for removal. Let’s quit making excuses and start deporting.
It’s not necessary for every illegal alien to be deported in order for deportation to be successful.
Illegal aliens are rational actors. They came here voluntarily because they thought they would benefit.
So if they see the government is serious about deporting illegals, many will self-deport. That way they can take their possessions with them.
They didn’t all arrive on the same day, they don’t have to all leave the same day. But they need to leave.

Trump Plans to Amp Up his Violent and Bigoted Rhetoric in Closing Pitch to Voters
Oct 12 2024 by Naomi LaChance and Asawin Suebsang, Rolling Stone
THERE’S LESS THAN a month left in the presidential election, which will not only shape Donald Trump’s political legacy and the nation’s trajectory, but also likely decide whether he’ll face multiple prison sentences. And as he makes his closing argument, Trump is planning to amp up his violent, fascist rhetoric all the way to Election Day.
In recent conversations with close allies, the former and perhaps future president has stressed that he can’t — as some advisers apparently would like him to — play it safe in these final weeks of campaigning, two people familiar with the matter tell Rolling Stone. “That’s how you lose,” Trump told one small huddle of these allies, one of the sources relays, as he emphasized that, especially on immigration, he needs to slam his foot on the gas.
This belief helps explain Trump’s recent diatribes, which have included talking about dictatorship, repeatedly lying about and demonizing migrants, and encouraging police to be extra violent in ways that resemble The Purge, the popular dystopian-horror movie franchise.
The other source adds that the ex-president has said lately that he pays close attention to which lines his rally audiences eat up the most and cheer the loudest at — and that Trump specifically noted how his rally attendees applauded and whooped when he reiterated his much-maligned pledge to “be a dictator for one day.” (Bullshit. If he wins it’s dictator EVERY DAY. Trump has no self control )
During a rally in Wisconsin on Sunday, Trump told the crowd about a conversation he had with Fox News host Sean Hannity. “‘You don’t want to be a dictator, do you?’” he recalled Hannity asking him. Trump continued: “I said, ‘Sean, I only want to be a dictator for one day, and I’m going to close the borders and drill, baby drill. But after that, I never want to be a dictator.’”
The crowd roared with approval.
On Monday, Trump suggested that immigrants are genetically predisposed to become murderers. “How about allowing people to come to an open border, 13,000 of which were murderers, many of them murdered far more than one person, and they’re now happily living in the United States. You know now a murder, I believe this, it’s in their genes. And we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now,” he said to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.
The idea that there are 13,000 killers roaming the street is false. The number comes from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which said there are about 13,000 “non-detained” migrants who had been convicted of homicide. The phrase “non-detained” is something of a misnomer, as most of these individuals are actually incarcerated.
In 2020, Trump referenced a similar idea when he told a mostly white crowd of Minnesotans that they have “good genes.” In this instance, he specifically mentioned “the racehorse theory,” a racist idea embraced by Adolf Hitler and proponents of eugenics that claims some white people are genetically superior. If the genetically superior people reproduce, the “theory” goes, the country will be stronger.
Along the same xenophobic lines, Trump has even called for ethnic cleansing. In a post on Truth Social last month, he wrote: “As President I will immediately end the migrant invasion of America. We will stop all migrant flights, end all illegal entries, terminate the Kamala phone app for smuggling illegals (CBP One App), revoke deportation immunity, suspend refugee resettlement, and return Kamala’s illegal migrants to their home countries (also known as remigration).”
Remigration is an idea popular among the far-right in Europe that refers to forcing all immigrants back to their native countries, a form of ethnic cleansing.
These threats came as Trump pushed racist lies about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio. He said, falsely, that they were eating cats and dogs. On Tuesday, Trump said that Springfield’s Haitian migrants, who are mostly there legally, are “illegal immigrants as far as I’m concerned.” He previously pledged to “do large deportations from Springfield.”
Recently, Trump publicly urged law enforcement to become more violent. At a campaign rally in late September, he called for “one really violent day” of policing to eradicate retail crime. He continued: “One rough hour — and I mean real rough — the word will get out, and it will end immediately. End immediately.”
During his presidency, Trump demonstrated an obsession with this type of violence. “You just got to kill these people,” he would say to his staff about gang members and drug lords, as Rolling Stone has previously reported. Administration officials began referring to his “American death squads idea.”
At a rally Friday in Aurora, Colorado, another city that Trump has put on blast, he pledged to “send elite squads of ICE, Border Patrol, and federal law enforcement officers to hunt down arrest and deport every last illegal alien gang member until there is not a single one left in this country.” Trump continued: “I’m hereby calling for the death penalty for any migrant that kills an American citizen or a law enforcement officer.”
At a rally Wednesday, the former president called for the U.S. military to be purged of supposed “wokeness” and replaced with the values of the most abusive fictional character in Stanley Kubrick’s classic Vietnam War movie, Full Metal Jacket — the drill instructor who (spoiler warning) drives a recruit to murder-suicide.
Trump has also been fomenting an anti-trans panic, running ads during college football and NFL games that attack Vice President Kamala Harris for supporting gender-affirming treatments for prisoners. The ad ends with the tagline: “Kamala is for they/them. President Trump is for you.”
“She wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison,” Trump said during the presidential debate last month.
“It shows that Republicans are desperate right now,” Kelley Robinson, the president of the pro-LGBTQ+ Human Rights Campaign, told The New York Times. “Instead of articulating how they’re going to make the economy better or our schools safer, they’re focused on sowing fear and chaos.”

FIRST BIDEN-HARRIS CBP ONE BUS CARRYING ILLEGAL ALIENS ARRIVES AT BORDER
The first bus, sponsored by Biden-Harris’s CBP One app, arrived at the US border this week, where illegals from Central and South America will be admitted into the US. Under Mexico's new program, Secure Emerging Mobility Corridor, the bus arrived in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico — just across the border from McAllen, Texas. The program was unveiled after a meeting between Biden and the Mexican president.
Illegals traveling to the US in the program get free transportation, meals, and security from the Mexico/Guatemala border to ports of entry in the US. There are 1,450 daily appointments available at several of ports of entry across the border. The CBP One smartphone app allows illegal aliens to schedule an appointment in the US to claim asylum and be released into the country permanently. More than 500,000 undocumented aliens enter under the CBP-One smartphone application yearly.
So, if those who want to protect our country's bedrock of the law applying equally to everyone want to help stop the lawlessness at the southern border - the lawlessness being facilitated by this program, I guess (and I am not advocating for, but making an observation) a knowledgeable "white hat-black hat" could drop a virus into the CBP One program to destroy it beyond repair.
After all, 1,450 entry appointments a day equates to 529,250 entries a year—and that is on top of those who didn't use the app and the "got aways."
Yeah, Kamala, the border is secure…NOT!
