#cafe #confectionery #early 20th century #belle epoque #i went there twice when i visited budapest lol #obviously it looks a bit different today #i believe that they are in a different location now than they were when this photo was taken #but nonetheless the interior today feels quite similar to this one #the subdued grandeur remains #plus the cakes and hot chocolates are really good!#it was a favorite of empress sisi’s and i trust her taste

So this is called zoo cafe because you can see animals and pet them. You need to make reservation because there are tours and each tour takes 1,5 hours. They come and set down an animal for you then after 15 minutes they change the animal. They are really cute and friendly.
