A few facts about this AU:

Patches never really left Mike and still follows him around except he has learned some boundaries and Mike can ‘will’ him away if he oversteps. They learn to co-exist. Patches still gets him into trouble sometimes and Mike’s known as the ‘weird kid that still talks to himself’

Butch is strangely captivated by the wholesome yet chaotic vibes Mike gives

Butch has befriended Buttercup (and Mitch by extension) they rag on each other constantly and revel in schadenfreude when the other is in a tense/awkward situation. She’s his best friend, basically

Mike dated Bubbles for a bit but discovered he was gay. He told her and she and him are still really great friends. She is very protective of him

Butch twitches when’s eager for a fight- but also when he’s love-struck

Robin and Blossom are relationship goals and so are Mitch and Buttercup

the boys love each other but brothers exist to humble you so hence the last panel lol

Butch is always going to be a tragic character to me. Not that I want his life to end in tragedy, I think he just gets fucked over by life a lot both as a kid and as a teen.

His child self from the show is very very hyper. Bouncing off the walls, possibly acting more on instinct than any real plan. He’s impulsive and excited, almost innocently so. I would say this behavior results in a lot of struggle as a kid.

With brick as the leader of the group, he will need to find a way to control his brothers. Butch being as impulsive adhd as he is, does not listen well and frequently disobeys orders. This results in brick punishing him the only way a young boy can think of: beating the shit out of him. I don’t think it is excessive in the sense that Butch is scared of him but it isn’t healthy. Brick will have to deal with that guilt later as any parentified child would.

Butch deals with low self esteem, not a whole lot of self preservation, and some major internal resentment of his brother and most authority figures. Consider it like fucked up daddy issues except the dad was the same age as you and unable to respond to your problems with decency and care.

I think he struggles in school (if he even goes) and spends most of his childhood dealing with in-medicated adhd. He thinks he is just stupid in school but in reality he just needs some help.

Id love to see him take adhd meds for the first time and get kinda pissed about how much easier it is to function.

His relationship with brick is super complicated in a way neither of them want to acknowledge. It’s not fair to brick that he had to be a parent to his brothers, it’s not fair to Butch that he was hurt because of it. Who is there to be mad at if you think about it? And I also don’t think Butch realizes why he’s so angry at his brother. He might mistake the feeling for jealousy or something like that.

Tbh I think it would be very funny if there was a running gag where the Rowdyruff Boys kept getting into some sort of stupid accident and dying and Him just has to keep bringing them back to life

Like the boys find a boomstick, blow up, and then get sent back down to Heck where Him resurrects them for the fourth time this week
