Since people seem to like my pride outfit!
To answer questions: the shield is painted by me, the flag is handstitched, and my biceps are huge. 😌

im sorry rad fems sold you the lie that butches are only Non Threatening (TM) cis women with short hair who wear T-shirts and jeans with a carabiner, but the reality of the situation is a lot of butches are trans, genderqueer, physically imposing, big, male impersonators, hairy (especially including facial hair), sweaty, muscular, "ugly" and/or fat. some butches are into extreme body modification. some went bald. some are body builders. some are transfem butches who don't wanna overperform womanhood, take estrogen, or medically transition. some butches start testosterone strictly to feel more like a butch. some butches pass as cis men, and some need to do so in order to feel like their butch selves. soft butches are great, but that's not the "One Right Way" to be butch. the butches i'm attracted to would make a rad fem scream and cry and piss themselves on the floor.

You have a complex relationship with your body and need to keep some/all of your clothes on during sex?
That's okay, what you're wearing looks good on you.
You need to take a lot of breaks doing anything intimate because you're easily overwhelmed?
I understand, I'm just happy to be here with you.
You're on medication that impacts your libido/makes reaching orgasm really difficult?
No pressure, tell me what feels good for you, and if you get frustrated we can do something else together.
Sex isn't going to look the same for everybody and that's fine, that's normal.
Sometimes you don't orgasm, sometimes you need to stop because your mood changes out of nowhere, sometimes you get really self conscious and need accommodations to take your mind off of it.
People are too complex for everybody to go about it the same, just keep doing what feels best for you, regardless of how different it may seem from other people's experiences.

I really wish butchhood wasn't conflated with being a protector so much, honestly.
I'm a very vulnerable butch. I'm chronically ill, invisibly physically disabled, and have a lot of mental health issues. My masculinity doesn't inherently make me more strong or powerful.
But there's a huge amount of butch culture built on butches being protective of femmes, or just being strong and working in very physically laborious jobs. It feels disheartening to be locked out of a major part of my culture, just because I'm disabled.
So here's to all the disabled butches who want, or are expected to, be strong because toxic masculinity has taught us the mascs are the protectors, but we can't be.
We're the ones who need people to slow down for us. We're the ones who need to sit down and catch our breath after walking a bit. We're the ones who need help. And that doesn't make us any less butch.

Letterpress print on black linen cloth. 24point clearface heavy. This took 4 hours to set the type btw.
Text reads: “I fantasize about a dildo with nerve endings. I type "how to fuck a partner with my clitoris" into the search bar. The results are articles & reddit posts with tips for helping your boyfriend find your clit. I realy think str8 folks should have to search through dozens of search results about Dyke sex before finding whatever they were actually looking for. Anyway. I imagine pulling my leather harness over my hips, the black silicone connecting just above my clit. They kiss me and trace the scars on my chest. They let me touch them & they touch my silicone, they guide me inside of them. I'm not sure what this would feel like, A dildo with nerve endings does not yet exist. But I know it would be as close to heaven as i'll get.”

you HAVE to expand what your mental image of what a woman looks like in order to progress past trans/misogyny and intersexism. when you finally accept that "woman" does not have a set look or sound, you free yourself from the chains of both patriarchy and radfem ideals. "woman" does not mean thin, pretty, hairless, short, quiet, large breasted, hour glass figured, weak, submissive, high voiced, or small.
women can and do look, act, and sound like anything. cis, intersex, trans, butch, non binary, gender non conforming, detrans, or anything else: any woman can look, act and sound like anything. we are just as diverse as any other member of this population. in order to acknowledge this, we must let go of the concept that a woman "should" look, act, or sound like anything.
