Shinazugawa-sensei is homophobic
(I wrote this to be silly so it's just a quick thing with little substance. Set in the Kimetsu academy au)
Genya awkwardly looked up from his homework at Sanemi. He was waiting for Sanemi to be finished with some paperwork before they went home. “I'm dating someone.” He said.
Sanemi glared at him over his paperwork. “So?”
“His name is Tanjiro Kamado.” Genya said. He knew his brother didn't like Tanjiro but his brother didn't like most people.
Sanemi sneered. “I don't want to hear about that. That's fucking gross. Keep that shit to yourself.”
Genya rolled his eyes. He knew that Sanemi wouldn't be happy to hear he was dating Tanjiro. “You're such a homophobic jerk.” Genya said, jokingly.
“Yeah. I hate gay people. They're shitty.” Sanemi said, rolling his eyes. “And I don't want to hear about your stupid so called boyfriend.”
Genya laughed quietly. Sanemi was gay himself and definitely not homophobic. “So you hate me!? Your own brother!?” He asked with an overly dramatic tone.
“Yes. Get back to doing your damn homework you stupid faggot.”
Unknown to the two eldest Shinazugawa brothers, a student (*cough* Murata *cough*) had been coming by to ask Sanemi a math related question and had overheard the two brothers' conversation.
And now said student was not a gossip but he did tell a few people about how he felt bad for Genya and word spread over the weekend that Genya was stuck with a homophobic older brother.
Granted, most people already felt bad for Genya because he was related to Sanemi. But to know that Sanemi was homophobic and Genya was gay? It was… well surprising? People weren't sure but it was fun to gossip.
On Monday, Genya couldn't help but to feel like people were looking at him. He liked to believe it was because he was holding Tanjiro's hand that morning but he had been doing it everyday last week.
Plus they were looking at him like they felt bad. It was like the archery award thing again.
By lunch it was Zenitsu who finally revealed what was going on.
“Genya, I knew your brother was a jerk but I never thought he would be homophobic.” Zenitsu said as he sat down next to Inosuke.
“Huh?” Genya looked at him, confused.
“What are you talking about?” Tanjiro asked.
“Why is the evil math teacher scared of homes?” Inosuke commented.
“I guess someone overheard your brother being homophobic towards you for dating Tanjiro. That he even called you the f word. The whole school's been talking about it.” Zenitsu explained as he started to eat.
Genya's face paled. “The whole school..?”
Zenitsu nodded. “Yeah. Did he really call you the f word?” He asked.
“Uh…” Genya was quiet for a moment. “Well… yes? But that's normal.”
“Genya, your brother shouldn't be calling you that.” Tanjiro huffed. “That's not okay!”
“For real. I know he's dick but I think there's a line.” Zenitsu agreed.
Genya sighed. “He's not homophobic. He's literally gay.”
“You can be gay and homophobic though. I've seen the memes.” Inosuke said.
Genya snorted. “But he's not. Someone probably overheard us being us and assumed the worst.”
“Oh. Good.” Tanjiro said with a smile. “I would have fought Shinazugawa-sensei if he was actually homophobic. And now that you mention it, I'm not surprised he's queer.”
Genya blushed. “Uh…” He had no idea how to respond to such a weirdly sweet and scary comment.
“Stop being gay right in front of my salad.” Zenitsu said. “...wait Shinazugawa-sensei is gay?? I thought him and Kocho-sensei were a thing?!”
“No. Well, they dated when they were in high school for like a month. I have the trauma of seeing them in the middle of fooling around one day when my mom and I took my younger siblings to the park and I forgot my phone…” Genya blushed at the memory. It was so embarrassing to think about. Him and Sanemi shared a room at the time so that was where his phone had been.
Zenitsu's face perked up. “You've seen Kocho-sensei's..”
“Finish that sentence and I'll kill you, Agatsuma.” Shinobu appeared almost as if out of nowhere.
Zenitsu nodded silently.
Shinobu looked at Genya with a smirk. “Heard that your brother was homophobic. Makes sense that he hates himself.” She said.
Genya laughed. “Wasn't it your sister that caused him to turn gay?” He sneered. Were he and Shinobu friends? Maybe. Did they share the bond of being witnesses to the weirdness that was Sanemi dating Kanae? Yes.
“At least she never fooled around with Tomika-sensei.” Shinobu said.
Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke all looked shocked by the words out of their upper classmate's mouth.
Genya nodded. “Fair enough. You got him there.”
“Tomioka and Shinazugawa..?” Tanjiro questioned.
Genya smiled at Tanjiro. “You'd find out sooner or later but yeah. They've been dating for about a year now.”
“Huh.” Tanjiro said, clearly processing it.
“Yet they still make out in empty classrooms like teenagers. Too bad someone told Murata to take some papers to Kocho-sensei in that very room.” Shinobu said with a chuckle.
“You're evil. When Sanemi finds out you're behind it, you're dead.” Genya said.
Shinobu shrugged. “Oh I doubt he'd be able to catch me.”

Hating on Ending D will get you nowhere.
Don’t underestimate it.
One thing that pisses me off about this stupid fandom were the reactions of the killugon fans once they heard about Ending D.
Nah cuz let’s talk about it.
These ppl are seriously acting delulu rn.
They weren’t too much before but now it’s just ridiculous.
I’m starting to see a reaction pattern here through this plausible ending:
1) Some are saying that Togashi said this as a joke therefore, he’s just fucking with us and hasn’t actually revealed anything.
2) Togashi will never use this ending because he scrapped it.
3) Togashi said that his personal favorite ending was Ending C but he said that the majority of the fans will hate it. So it doesn’t mean that he’s super ecstatic by Ending D.
4) This ending is way too shonen and cliché for him to actually use. Since it’s so basic, it doesn’t scream his style. Therefore, even if the ending happened, it wouldn’t feel real.
5) The fans who like this ending are problematic and homophobic.
I’m so sick of hearing these same things come out of their mouths so let me just clearly explain why this is all ridiculous:
1) Why would Togashi ever joke about something like his plausible passing and the work he’s been working so hard for which started in 1998?? The dude has never once joked around with the questions he received about hxh. He’s also been the type to spoil some people through interview questions too so if we follow your logic, that would mean he would’ve also lied about the fact that Kurapika and all the phantom troupe members would die.
Tumblr media
2) We shouldn’t act so hasty when it comes to this ending just because it got scrapped. Togashi did say that he took it out from the endings he was planning on using but it doesn’t change the fact that he: a) actually took his time out of the day to think about the idea in the past and b) said that he’ll use it if his time runs out and if he can’t come up with a greater ending better than the three ones he already got.
Tumblr media
3) Yes, it’s true. Out of the three ones we got, Togashi’s favorite ending was the third one, Ending C. So what? He said he kept it around simply because it was his favorite.
Tumblr media
That also means he’s not so into Ending A and Ending B. An author doesn’t have to specifically use their favourite ending to end their series. They have to think about what the audience and what the majority of the reactions would be like to the ending they came up with. So since he estimated that only 10% of the fandom will like Ending C and 90% of it will hate it, there’s a very high chance he won’t even attempt at using it for the ending. Also, we have no idea what the ending is about.
4) The ending may sound basic and very shonen-like but so was Yu Yu Hakusho’s ending. Or rather the ending of the main character Yusuke. If you don’t happen to know, Yu Yu Hakusho was Togashi’s old work and in it, the main character Yusuke comes back from his adventures to marry a girl named Keiko, his childhood friend.
Tumblr media
5) Did you ever stop to think that maybe some people just didn’t like killugon? Shocking, I know. We just plainly don’t like it. It doesn’t make the most of us homophobic or problematic in the least, stop trying to shove that dumb idea onto other killugon fans’ throats. Some of us are just not into yaoi and have tried to get into it but just don’t see the appeal (i’m personally more of a hetero and yuri fan) of it. Also, some of us would be delighted to see more female characters taking more major roles in hxh. It would be refreshing to see since the main cast is all filled with males while the females usually take minor roles like mothers, instructors, teachers, supporters for some male characters, (ex: Mito, Kikyo, Abe, Noko, Palm, Bisky, Coco Loo, Coco from Heavens Arena, Melody, Alluka) or are just in the background most of the time (ex: Canary, Amane, Tsubone, Shizuku, Machi) (wow these almost sounds like SHONEN ROLES FOR WOMEN).

Dashing Youth Ep 22-25 Commentary
Ep 1-10, Ep 11-16, Ep 17-21, Ep 22-25, Ep 26-32, Ep 33-35, Ep 36-40
Ep 22
That's it. I've found my most favorite Cdrama character of the year. Do I love everything about him? No. Is he very relatable? No. Is he the best acting performance of the year? No. But heavens forbid if Master Li is written in a way that is just SO understandable and consistent for the setup of a sunny fearless youth who became an immortal and grew weary and bored with time, and decided to just stop with immortality and take one more chance at truly enjoying the mortal world so he could die satisfied. He's just so fucking intriguing to me I could write a 5 page essay about him! I guess I have already written about 2.5!
Tumblr media
Dingzhi baby I wish you stop trying to hoard all your grievances and responsibilities in your heart all alone 😔 Tbh can't blame him, that's what happens when you were brutally stripped from your family and friends as a child and grew up with noone but an equally sad master, it stops occurring to you that you need to depend on other people sometimes. And it's not like Dongjun is the brightest bulb in the room to get a proper reading of everything Dingzhi is hiding behind his dazzling grins.
On the positive notes, Changfeng finally seems to be here to stay! Finally! They sleep seperated by a homophobic modesty table tho, boo

Dude my bois were peacefully having their first time nobody asked you to invite yourself in huhu

That was so impolite to just crash and flash!!!
Oh my gods lol. Never make an enemy of Master Li. He will do planned cockblocking on you few decades in advance, AND make you and your partner the CEOs of his company, and sashay away to have his own honeymoon 🤣 You wouldn't have the time to say Jack Robinson.

I love how he developed a soft spot for Changfeng. I mean, who wouldn't
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Changfeng is like: I literally don't know how I got to this point of my life but boy I'm gonna have a good time
Tumblr media
He's the underdog sidekick who ended up the ultimate winner and he wouldn't be able to explain how. He's so inspiring like all you have to do is being a nice person and mind your own business and treat your friends with honesty and the rest will work out by themselves.
Man I'm just so bloody uninterested in Dongjun/Yue Yao tho🤣
Dingzhi is that infamous bad boy in high school who is actually a doll and ends up winning over all the head-teachers to everyone's surprise

Ep 24
Ughh the wedding is going to take place I'm nauseous and I want to murder Wenjun's dad
Go, my boy. Even though you two will only get a pocket of happiness, you should get it. 😔

Ep 25
*screaming my head off
I fucking hate you so much. You are not a good guy but you aren't willing to full-on embrace that you are a bad guy either, which makes you a good politician and a good candidate for the throne and therefore the absolute worst scum. Bah.
Tumblr media
Gods I think the last time I saw (and cared for) a het estranged couple (plus the girl being forced into a romantic/sexual arrangement she didn't want) was in Shaolin Wendao, but at least there was solace at the end of the story for the sheer agony the characters and the viewers went through. And I already know there will be none for Dashing Youth😭 Why am I doing this to myself.
I need to rewatch BoY just so I can see the younger gen stand up to the monarchy that their parents gen couldn't topple.
Grandparents: "For the greater good" let's downplay the corruption and raise our kids worry-free. If we close our eyes, the evil doesn't exist.
Parents: Dreamers, romantics, unprepared for the cruelty of the world, everyone gets heartbroken and traumatised for life
Kids: Fuck all this we can barely pay rent

hiya. sorry to bring this to you, but apparently that's where the discourse is happening.
i'm M, i hate social media and i've known Nosferatu for roughly 15 years now. IRL. and i made a blog/profile/account/whatever it's called because the amount of dumbass propaganda being spread about them is fucking ridiculous.
they are severely traumatized, suicidal, have a terrible view of themself because of mental and emotional abuse they've endured for years. and they have multiple fucking personality disorders without a way to get to a professional because their mom can't afford it and their dad is a neglectful asshole who couldn't keep it in his pants and decided to abandon them at age 4, doing only the bare fucking minimum since. and trying to get out of even that however he can. their parents flicker between loving and self-centered to the point where they can't fucking talk to them without their anxiety spiking up.
we've grown up together. i know and trust them with my life. they were the one fighting my homophobic grandmother when i came out. they've been my anchor for years before my family had to move abroad for unrelated reasons, which only let us get on calls and text. i've seen them at some really serious fucking lows. and they are hitting one of those right now because some assholes never bothered to communicate with them and blamed them for everything wrong that happened to them on this fucking website. and because you idiots never bothered to actually ask or talk to them, choosing to believe said assholes.
calling them manipulative is absolutely ridiculous. i've been on call with them multiple times, trying to talk them out of hurting themself while they were screaming and crying. i've got a text from their mom, in a rare "loving mommy" moment at 2 AM last night about how they tried to fucking skin their forearm to get rid of their ghost tattoo. a tattoo that they were so excited about, it was like seeing them healed for the first few days after they got it. but you claim it's "suicide baiting" because they didn't fucking succeed? because they were fucking stopped?
there was one person Nosferatu ever manipulated. a teacher in their high school, who mentally abused his students. despite being one of the favorite students, they put themself against him and then managed to make it look like he was being overly dramatic, making him leave the students alone until they finished school. they only time they ever manipulated anyone, all to defend their classmates. but you idiots would rather believe jackasses who never bothered to try and reach out? seriously?
they're autistic and poorly socialized. they're social awareness sucks, especially with strangers. what they saw as "bullying" was just friendly banter to Nosferatu. and none of them ever bothered to message them and fucking say they feel off. they need to be called out, yes, but not like this. simply informing them that they sound mean to them would solve the fucking situation. but no, it's easier to make a big exit post and claim they abused them and manipulated the rest of the group (who can think for themselves, btw) because it fits your narrative, doesn't it? you people will jump at any opportunity to bully someone, and then when they manage to get pulled back from almost ending it all, you claim they're baiting. and when they try to explain themself, not fucking knowing what exactly they're accused of, you call them a fucking narcissist? for a completely reasonable reaction?
and you know what they did after they found out why you all suddenly started spamming them death threats? reached out to the other group in an attempt to explain the situation. and they did so via discord group chat that i watched through a shared screen, trying to calm them down. and guess what, assholes. they apologized, owned up to everything and explained themself to them. and in return, they got acknowledgement, but nothing else. no apologies for painting them to be this evil mastermind, no clarification, nothing. so i'll throw an accusation of my own and say that they actually wanted Nosferatu to suffer. all because they were too bitchy to communicate, and Nosferatu wasn't. they reached out to them, because suddenly after months of not interacting, suddenly people were accusing them of being abusive and making people quit.
i'll throw in another accusation, actually. in the group chat, they claimed they're not quitting because of Nosferatu, but rather the backlash they were getting from anons. but they failed to mention that in the post, just to make sure Nosferatu ended up looking like a monster who ruined everything for them. they wanted you to hate Nosferatu, all because they got the wrong impression and never bothered with talking to them.
Nosferatu is absolutely fucking harmless unless they have an actual reason to be an asshole. they act terrible to people who hurt their friends, such as when you idiot anons starting shit with the Sister Rose person. they do so because it's the only defense mechanism that works with their family and their own abusers. they do it whenever they break down mentally. they push people away. they act terrible to make sure nobody can hurt them at their moment of weakness.
they had to turn off the ask function completely. they had to back out of roleplay. they're scared of talking to anyone because there's a risk you fucking idiots will go out of your way to abuse the person they spoke to or you'll start spreading more lies like you did here. i'm not going to tolerate shit like this about the person who already struggles with their mental state and emotions and who is only finally getting the help they need because they earn their own money through a summer job. that they have to work for 12 hours a day.
go fuck yourselves, all of you. you lead to Nosferatu almost ruining all their relationships out of fear. you made them want to skin themself, and if it wasn't for their mother, they'd be in the hospital because of all of you now. if not dead. you've ruined a hobby, a passion and a fandom they loved so dearly. you made them despise their special interest, because you've made them feel unwelcome. and why? because the people you've been fighting for decided to manipulate you and make Nosferatu look fucking evil.
funny how you all defend actually manipulative people by calling someone who barely interacted with them a manipulative narcissist. if you ever actually spoke to them, you'd know they're not a monster you all seem to want them to be. they're scared. defensive. because they're getting a bunch of fucking accusations out of nowhere, with everyone expecting them to know what happened when they have no fucking clue.
fortunately, i'm gonna be able to come to visit them relatively soon and you bet your sorry asses i will get them to roleplay again. because it made them happy. they would go on about new storylines and how excited they were. i'm not gonna let you take my friend's happiness away like this again, all because you clearly don't have functioning brains and can't think for yourselves.
you're all abusers. you're all bullies. and the fact that you just believed those people without using your abilities of critical thinking is fucking unbelievable. people like you are why i avoid social media. a bunch of brainless assholes, jumping at an opportunity to be pieces of shit to people just because.
PS: learn how to tell apart a fucking character from a real person. they literally stopped using a name and assigned it to their roleplay character just to avoid confusion, and yet you morons still can't tell it apart.
// please read with caution. i won’t add much commentary, but i feel this post is very important to share so people, especially the anon haters, can get a clearer picture of what’s been happening in both nosferatu’s life and the rp community in the ghost fandom. tobias would be appalled by all this. the people who sent nosferatu death threats should be ashamed. you guys claim she’s evil when in reality you guys are acting like fucking jerks toward them. anyways, this post explains itself pretty well. the anon haters need to get a fucking life.

Traintober Day 3
Trust - A Much Needed Chat
Implication of homophobic laws and past minor character death
Edward and Henry were frankly barely even colleagues, the latter having only worked at the NWR at that point for just under 6 months. They rarely had lunch together, and Edward was never interested in the youth’s point of view of the world. It was too jarring.
Edward and Thomas were colleagues. nothing more, nothing less. They occasionally had lunch together, and even less often shared opinions on the latest news, but in the end they were just two people who worked on the railway.
Joseph and Richard were Edward's two other colleages. They more often than not had their lunch together, and most of the time loved to chat about anything and everything. And then suddenly, one day, none of that could or would continue.
Edward stared at the fenced off remains of the Wellsworth sheds. Joseph and Richard weren't even supposed to be there, but a broken switch had caused them to have to stay there for the night. They died in their sleep, and didn't know the wiser.
That was a vision he saw every night as he closed his eyes. Even after the tonnes of scrap metal and masonry had been cleared, and the sheds rebuilt for use, it remained. Even after the cold winter's day of the funeral, it remained. And, much to no one's surprise, he did not tell a soul.
“You look like shit. Your eyebags are humongous. What’s up,” Henry eventually asked as they were having lunch one day. Edward shrugged.
“It’s nothing, really.”
Henry rolled his eyes. “It’s nothing, really- shut up Edward you’re trying to deal with grief by yourself and honestly that’s stupid. You need a chat. A good honest chat.”
Edward paused. “I wouldn’t want to be a bother.”
“Your constant radiation of extreme survivor’s guilt is what’s the bother - it’s veering on contagiousness.”
“Well… alright then. It is dinner so I’m guessing neither of us have anything to do. Admittedly it would be best if we went somewhere more private. For both of our sakes.”
So they found themselves sitting in Edward’s apartment, not sure of what to say, before eventually Henry spoke up. “Why did Joseph and Richard’s death hurt you?”
“Isn’t it obvious? They’re people I have worked with for most of my life, and now they’re gone. Is it really that hard to tell?”
“I mean…” Henry muttered. “Several people I know have been killed in the air raids and it didn’t affect me much…”
“Well, some people have a larger tolerance for death. For me, this was a new thing. They’re the first people I know who have died.”
“Hm. Shocker. You’re so old I never would’ve guessed.”
“Did your teachers ever tell you to be respectful to your elders?”
“Sure.”
Edward sighed. “Well, how have you been holding up?” Henry paused for a second. And then another. “Hard to say. Really hard to say.”
“Why?”
Henry paused. “Well I can really only explain by giving you the full explanation and that- I’m not sure if I should do that.”
“It won’t hurt anyone apart from our schedules and even those are empty.”
Henry took in a deep breath. “Promise you will tell no one. And please don’t report me to the police.”
“You didn’t kill them… did you?”
“What the actual fuck Edward of course not.”
“Then why don't you want the police involved.”
There was about a minute of pure silence. You could've heard a pencil scrape.
Henry took a breath in. “I'm a homosexual. I had a crush on Joseph. I also miss Richard but not to the same extent. Do you get what I mean?”
Edward hesitated. “Did you really think I was going to tell the police about that fact? Who do you think I am?”
“I was being careful, okay? So yeah, I do miss them but I guess I show it less. So I'm fine but I'm not at the same.”
Edward nodded. “Fair. Minus the homosexuality I'm much the same. Good chat. Is that what you wanted to talk about?”
“Probably.”
Sometimes Edward and Henry talked. About anything, really. And quite often it ended up with them having lunch together.

Not sure If I already reblogged this once, but I have this exact topic on the brain and I was trying to find a specific post but found this instead and I wanted to add what I have been thinking about.
Also this great post by @vegasandhishedgehog
In specific regarding this part of OP's Post:
it's almost like the show was leading us to ignore or explain them away, just like many of the characters do before they're forced to confront homophobia in episode 12.
Here me out. This show was intented to be popular among younger viewers and it was (post by @kongthapatom)
I think what this show was doing was playing with the use of the bubble. Like OP outlined above all of the little details the show was putting there from the start were explained away, and you the viewer were intentionally led away from it.
Much like Tinn's Mom leading concern is what if this hurts my kid, a lot of parents and adults think that shielding kids away from the bad things will keep them safe.
But it doesn't. Even while unspoken, the tension is there from the start. Like OP said, Tinn can't speak about his crush with his parents (for more then just his crush is guy, but it is a factor), He has reasons to worried about what having a crush on a guy means (Asking "are you ok with that" like OP says).
I will also add (and this could me not remembering the show right so correct me if I am wrong) the music video being a bl is also explained in universe as a way to stand from the crowd and bls are really popular nowdays, almost like a justification. This could be a mini commentary how queer people are drawn to queer media and also on the commoddification of bls (which is both a good thing = more queer media and a bad thing = companies are making money off queer people).
When the bubble does pop and homophobia is introduced in this show it is after the biggest foreshadowing the show does with the movie. With the thing they are shooting and Tiw and Gun conversation about how we have to wait for dinosaur to die.
And it also feels like all of this works in universe. As much the adults wanted Tinn and Gun and the others to stay safe and in the bubble the world doesn't work like that. The characters bubble bursts at the same time as it does for the audience. Allowing the audience to experience homophobia in a safe fictional enviroment, much like you would do with horror and other traumatic things in media.
And then the show says it's wrong, the teacher gets kicked out, Tinn and Gun don't break up because it's better that way, Tinn Mom comes to Tinn rescue and she reaffirms her love for him and stands by him.
The bubble bursts but it's not at all like falling into nothing but it's like flying gently down onto a pillow.
It is 100% intentional.
I have been thinking about this because of three recent shows that were in what I would like to call an almost bubble.
These two posts by @bengiyo (x) and @twig-tea (x) go a bit on more in depth into the problem with what I am calling almost bubble specifically after the latest entry My Love Mix Up Th episode.
The shows I mean are these:
We Are The Series - In the bubble but hints at deeper things and motivations and intentionally never breaks the escapism by not going there (Side Note: this one is the most intentional of the bunch, in the sense that it conciously decided to avoid bursting the bubble to keep up the escapism and it's why it worked for some people)
23.5 - In the bubble but, has one character have internilized homophbia and then basically ends up telling that she shouldn't have worried about it.
My Love Mix Th - Which is doing something similar to 23.5 according to what I saw on the dash (full disclosure not watching this one)
---
In Conclusion My School President was intentionally giving the illusion of a bubble show to create a safe place for the audience to expirience real life homophobia and issues (teacher being homophobic, can't kiss in public for fear of outing, your friends are safe but you don't know what the rest of the school will do etc..) and then make it better. It was creating a bubble just to gently bursting it on purpose.
Which is what these other shows either weren't interest in doing or just didn't know how to do (I'm not sure what to call the 23.5 and MLMU TH ones: mistakes, intentional cruelty? Were they saying something? I rather just call them mistakes for now).
rewatching my school president with the knowledge that homophobia does in fact exist within the universe of the series is such a crazy experience because it adds an extra layer of meaning and interpretation to so many lines and moments that we often either overlooked or explained away during the first watch-through.
first off: the music club's rule about not having lovers as a kind-of-sort-of metaphor for society not being accepting of LGBTQ+ couples (i.e., main obstacle in tinn and gun's relationship)
the fact that tiwson knows about tinn's massive crush on gun before the beginning of the series (meaning tinn trusted tiw enough to tell him)
gun's stunned silence when tinn admits he's hitting on him during the pool scene and the kind of scared look on gun's face when he gets flustered after looking into tinn's eyes in episode 3
tinn pointedly asking gun "are you okay with that?" after he indirectly confesses his feelings by the pool in episode 5/6
gun saying "you can't control something like this, can you?" after tinn's previously mentioned confession of feelings at the beginning of episode 6
gun's anxiety about what it means to accept that tinn likes him and he likes tinn back (e.g., "has it ever occurred to you that there are things you want to ask, but you're too afraid to?")
the look of trepidation on sound's face after filming the medal kiss scene with win in episode 6 and realizing he has Feelings
everyone in chinzhilla being on board with filming a bl version of the 'just being friendly' music video (because they're all gay or allies lmao)
tinn interpreting gun's mention of the dating rule after his implied love confession as rejection + gun clarifying that "it doesn't mean he feels bad about it" in episode 6 (music club dating ban as a metaphor for homophobia again)
tinn and gun having to hide the fact that they are seeing each other while at the aquarium with yo and nook, who can openly date (ostensibly because of the music club dating ban, which oddly enough doesn't prevent yo from pursuing nook - there's that music club dating ban metaphor again)
gun repeatedly voicing his concern that it would be easier for tinn if he decided to hit on someone else (e.g., a girl)
tinn's out-of-control gay fantasies as a possible coping mechanism for the fact that he can't be open about his feelings with his family or anyone at school (besides tiw and gun)
yak telling sound he has to accept "what he's really into" in order to write a good love song (and sound clearly glancing at win afterwards)
gun telling tinn "be patient. when i win hot wave, everything will get better. at least with our friends" when they hide from tinn's mom outside of tinn's house at the beginning of episode 10 (music club dating ban metaphor again + hints at concern that tinn's mom may not accept their relationship)
tinn feeling comfortable enough with gun's mom to tell her about his crush on gun while keeping it a secret from his own mom
tinn's mom not knowing tinn could sing as an allusion for how she doesn't know about other aspects of tinn's true self (i.e., his sexuality) either
gun telling tinn that after hot wave, "whatever shitty rules there are" can't stop them (foreshadowing the hostile reaction they get to their relationship in episode 12)
there's probably more but these are the ones i can think of off the top of my head. many of these comments/moments could make sense in the context of a universe without homophobia (i.e., due to general shyness/anxiety about relationships, the music club's dating ban, etc.), but it's neat to interpret them through the lens of heteronormativity/homophobia too.
it's interesting to me that we as a fandom didn't really pick up on the fact that there was homophobia in the universe of the series as it was airing despite all these "signs." it's almost like the show was leading us to ignore or explain them away, just like many of the characters do before they're forced to confront homophobia in episode 12.

Request for a student!Larissa weems x student!reader song fic to sex sells by Lovejoy.
Maybe Larissa and r kiss/hookup drunkenly when they are alone at a party and larissa is gone in morning. The next time r sees them they have a tory bf and r is hurt because larissa told her bf r forced themself on her and that got spread round the school to the point where r had to leave?
Years later they are adults they meet at a party and Larissa apologizes for her internalised homophobia and explains they had a very unaccepting family and only dated that dick to please them. They end up hooking up and in the morning she is gone again and r is a scared she left again but Larissa comes back in with coffee and holds them while they tell her never to leave them again?
She's not there
Pairing: Larissa Weems x Reader
Word Count: 1265
Warning: internalised homophobia, insulting
A/n: I hope you like what I did with your idea!!!<3
Tumblr media
You had probably liked Larissa since you had first seen her. How could you not? She was intelligent, funny, beautiful and so incredibly kind to anyone. All this time you had been fine with admiring her from a far, seeing her happy was all you cared about. Never would you have thought that she would hook up with you, but most of all, you would have never thought that she'd hurt you in the way she did. She was so kind after all, was she not?
------------------
It was a typical high school party, just with outcasts. But that made it even more fun, especially when the psychics used their powers to entertain the rest.
You stood at the side, laughing at the startled face of your friend, who was the victim of a psychic's joke right now. You had all drunken a little too much, the whole school would be hungover tomorrow, you just knew the teachers would be mad. But did that stop any of you? Surely not.
Suddenly you felt someone lean against the wall beside you, without looking you knew it was Larissa. You smelled the familiar mix of lemon and bergamot.
"Already bored?" You laughed at her, looking straight ahead, not wanting to look at her. You weren't sure what your drunken self would do.
"No, just wanted to spend some time with you." Your breathing hitched, surprised by her confession. Gently she turned you to look at her and as you had predicted, your drunken self wasn't able to hold back. You looked into her eyes and in mere second your lips were on hers. For a second she stiffened but fast she kissed back, dragging you out of the room into the corridor.
Still kissing, the two of you stumbled towards your room. Fiddling with the key you missed opening the door multiple times. Larissa chuckled behind you, grabbing your hand and guiding it, finally the door opened, and you fell onto the bed. It was the typical drunken sex, chaotic, messy, fiddling and a lot of giggling.
You fell asleep together, and woke up alone. Your heart broke a little, but at first you thought she just got overwhelmed, or she needed some air. But she didn't come back, and she also didn't talk to you anymore.
--------------------
Swore she'd never kiss a tory
But this boy was too good to lose
It was a sunny day, and you thought maybe going to Jericho would take your mind off of Larissa. Wrong decision. You sat in a little book café, reading as Larissa walked past the café with a boy around her waist. You knew him, he was an asshole. Homophobic and racist. Why on earth would Larissa date him?
You felt your heart clench at the look, day ruined. Fast you finished the coffee and left.
It was horrible, but what made it even worse was that everyone talked about it. Wherever you went, people called after you or insulted you.
"Hey, you freak. Why did you do that?" You turned, confused. You hadn't even been able to go to your room without people stopping you.
"What?" The girl looked at you disgustedly.
"Force yourself onto Larissa. That's disgusting, honestly." She spit on to the floor, nearly hitting your shoe. You had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, but you had an idea who spread the rumour. It hurt you, more than a rejection could have ever.
And it made your life living hell, everyday people insulted you, spit on you or just looked at you disgustedly. You were thankful that you didn't have a roommate, you cried nearly every evening.
Know she's not there, I know she's going to his flat
You just couldn’t stop thinking about Larissa with her boyfriend. The way his hand had lingered on her waist, holding her close. Like she was his property.
The talking and glancing became so bad, that you eventually decided to leave the school. You knew there wasn't another school for outcasts in America. So you moved to England. And even though it was hard, going to a new country alone, leaving your life behind, it was the right decision. It helped you heal and find peace again.
-----------------------
It had been years since you moved to England, you liked it and never left. So going to the class reunion was a little more effort for you than it was for most others, but you still did it. You couldn't deny that you missed Nevermore and wanted to see how it was doing.
Truthfully, you hadn't thought about the fact that Larissa would be there. So it did hit you as you saw her standing across the room, laughing with someone you didn't know.
How's it feel to be so loved, yet so alone?
Suddenly, for a second, you were reminded of how you had felt before you left. It was a short moment, but it stung.
You felt yourself panic a little as she approached you.
"(Y/n)? I didn't think you'd come." You tried to smile, but it probably looked a little forced.
"Well, I wanted to see the school again. I missed it and my departure wasn't exactly pleasant." Larissa's face dropped and guilt washed over it.
"I- I want to apologise, (Y/n). I shouldn't have done what I did, it was hurtful, I know. But my family was so unsupportive and always told me I shouldn't dare come home with a girl. So I grew up with homophobia and internalised that, being attracted to a girl scared be. And that idiot, Steven. I just dated him to please my parents. I never wanted him to tell it around school. I can understand if you can't forgive me." But honestly, how could you still be mad? She was charming and beautiful as ever, you had accepted what had happened. And above all, you knew how hard internalised homophobia and non-acceptive parents were.
"It's okay, Larissa. I understand how hard it must have been for you. It just really broke my heart, because I really liked you." Looking up at her, you knew you still did. You had probably never stopped liking her.
"Can I kiss you?" You looked up at her, waiting for her answer. She blushed immediately and slightly nodded. You never knew Larissa Weems could get flustered. A second later your lips crashed onto hers.
It did feel a lot like the last time, stumbling through the hall, fiddling with the keys, giggling a lot. And as you woke up and looked to the right, you thought deja vú.
Larissa had left, again. You felt your eyes get glossy, desperately trying to hold the tears back as you heard the door open. Hastily you tried to cover your still naked body with the sheets and looked up, just to see Larissa with a bag of croissants and coffee in hand. She immediately noticed the tears in your eyes.
"Oh love, what's wrong?" Sitting down on the edge of the bed she gently took you into her arms.
"I thought you left me again." You leaned into the warmth of her body, happy that she came back.
"I'll never leave you again. I just bought croissants and coffee." Softly she kissed the top of your head and chuckled as she saw that the sheets had uncovered your chest. Hastily you pulled it up again.
"Darling, I don't think that's necessary. My mouth was all over it just a few hours ago." She winked at you and your cheeks became bright red.

Healing together (Nobleflower, muggle!Au, part 1/2)
(sorry if I do some mistakes, english is not my first language
Thanks to my beta @lujaninmydreams )
"one new plush unicorn"
"Two"
"One and an icecream"
"Two"
"One and you can invite Neville and Harry to a sleepover this weekend"
Little Draco seemed to think about it for a moment.
"Okay, but we'll watch the minion film Neville likes"
"We'll see if we can find it on netflix or disney+"
Draco nodded "okay. deal"
Narcissa sigh. Sometimes talking to her son was like doing business. No surprise that he was Reg's favorite cousin.
"Repeat the terms of the deal"
"I will not tell daddy that you and Alice kissed and you'll buy me an unicorn and an icecream and we'll invite Harry and Neville and we'll watch the minion movie"
"I thought you said no to the icecream"
Draco made puppy eyes. Such a business man. Regulus was definitely a bad influence.
"But muuuuum. I want an ice cream. "
Narcissa laughed.
"Okay, maybe next time you'll go to uncle Reggie and uncle James' house, if you'll be a good boy, I'll buy you an ice cream."
"Okay!"
"Deal?"
"Deal"
So they shook hands and the deal was made.
"Oh, honey..."
"Yes?"
"I wouldn't tell daddy about Harry neither."
"I can't tell him he's my friend?"
"Of course you can, I was talking about the engagement part."
"Oh. Why?"
"Uhm, well..."
Because he's a little bit homophobic
"Because he might be sad that he wasn't able to see it."
"Oh" Draco thought about it, then he nodded "Okay".
The "engagement" happened two weeks before. Narcissa will never forget the moment her six-years-old son ran to her after school and told her that he was engaged and that Harry would have been soon his bride.
Sirius, when they told him a few days later, laughed so hard he almost choked and said it was nice to see Draco was following Black's family tradition.
That day there was Mary to pick Harry up from school, so the two women had to explain to the two children (and Neville, who would have been the officiant) that no, they couldn't marry at the moment because they were too young but yes, if when they will be older they still would have want to marry they would have.
Still, after two weeks, Draco kept calling Harry his bride. Alice thought it was cute and... well, she was right, it was.
"Mum" asked Draco after a while.
"Yes, honey?"
"When will I hug daddy again?"
Narcissa sighs. That was a question her son asked a lot, and every time she wished she could give him another answer.
"In some years, honey"
"But why? Have I done something wrong? Daddy doesn't want me?"
"What? No no, darling, no. See, daddy did some bad stuff, we've talked about it, do you remember?"
"Yes... You said that people sometimes do bad stuff but that doesn't mean they're bad people"
"Exactly. Daddy did some mistakes, and now he's paying for it in jail. In some years he'll be out and you'll be able to hug him as much as you want"
"Okay"
Narcissa smiled at him. "Now, why don't we decide what you'll wear? You want to be beautiful for daddy, mh?"
"I want the green T-shirt! The one with the dragon!"
"Of course, dear"
"Oh my, you're so big now!"
Draco looked smug. "I'm four inches taller!"
"You'll be taller than me in a few days if you keep growing this way" replied Lucius, smiling.
Narcissa, sitting with Draco on her lap, forced a smile on her face.
"Are you taking care of your mother, Draco?"
"Of course! She would be lost without me"
"And how is the new school?"
"I like it. I don't have to wear the uniform anymore and the teachers are very kind"
"Do you have any new friends?"
"Yes! There are Harry and Neville! And Harry is friend with Ron, but I don't like Ron very much, I think he's a little bit an idiot"
"Harry? The son of James and Lily? That Harry?"
"And Regulus and Mary" added Draco.
"What?"
"He has four parents, daddy. Two mummys and two daddys"
"Oh. Yeah, sure"
"And the teachers are planning to bring us to a farm in may! It'll be so cool! I want to see a unicorn! Sirius says that they don't exist, but Sirius is stupid and I don't listen to him"
"Oh, so you see him?"
"Mh, yeah, sure. He's Harry's godfather and sometimes he picks him up from school. He has babysat me sometimes. "
"And this Neville? How is him?"
"Oh, he's kind and quiet. I think that without him Harry and I would argue waaaay more"
Lucius laughed "really? You two argue a lot?"
"Yes! Because he's so stupid sometimes. He thinks lions are better than snakes and that red is better than green and that chocolate ice cream is better than the strawberry one"
"Well, yes, that's pretty stupid"
Draco nodded.
"Daddy, I've learned how to write! So I'll write you letters and you can write me. I also know how to read, you know"
"Really? You're so smart"
"Thank you! Harry has some problems with it. Uncle Reggie said that he's dy- dysle-"
"Dyslexic" said Narcissa. Draco nodded.
"Yes, that, like uncles James"
"That's unfortunate"
"Nah, uncle Reggie says that Harry will learn, just with a little bit more effort. But I'm not, so I can write and read"
"Draco, dear" said Narcissa "why don't you go with Marlene to the vending machine to buy you some snacks?"
Marlene, a prison guard who James was friend with, heard her name and came to take Draco.
"They have M&M" Marlene added, smiling to the little boy.
Draco's face brightened. "Yes! Can I buy them, mum? Pleeeeease"
"Sure. There, take the money" she gave him some coins and, after Marlene was gone, she turned to Lucius.
"Have you signed the divorce papers?"
Lucius sighs.
"Are you sure you want to do it, Cissa?"
"Yes I am. Have you signed it?"
He rolled his eyes. "Yes, I have"
"Don't do that face. You know exactly why I'm doing it"
"Because I'm in jail"
"No. Because you used our son's money to try to pay your debts without telling me anything. Those money were supposed to be for his college"
"I'll repay"
"That's not the point. The point is that you lied to me and you put our son's future in danger. If you think I can forgive you for this, you're wrong"
"I told you I'm sorry"
"I don't care"
Draco came back, with a pack of M&M's and a pack of chips in his tiny hands. He gave the chips to her.
"Your favorite" he said, and Narcissa kissed his cheeks and thanked him, then she thanked Marlene. Draco didn't try to buy something for his dad. He already learned that he can't give him anything there.
When they came back home, Regulus was there. The moment Draco saw him, he dropped his mother hand and ran into his uncle's arms. Yeah, Regulus was actually his cousin, but Draco called him uncle and no one ever corrected him. Funnily enough, he never called Sirius "uncle" and he refused to acknowledge the fact that Sirius and Regulus are brothers.
"Uncle Reggie!" he screamed "is Harry here?"
"No, darling, he is with his mothers this afternoon. I'm here for you"
"Yes!"
"I bought you a surprise" Regulus said, smiling. "It's on your bed. Go to see it"
In a second, Draco was running upstairs.
"Don't run!" Narcissa scolded him, knowing it was useless. She sighs "I didn't give you the keys to my house to spoil my kid"
"In fact, I'm here for you. How was it with Lucius?"
"As usual. Draco talked a lot, Lucius listened and talked to him and I was mostly silent"
"Have he signed the papers?"
"Yeah"
"And Draco knows it?"
"Yeah. He seems to have taking it well"
"Congratulations then. You're a free woman now"
"Yey" Narcissa replied, with zero enthusiasm.
"So" Regulus continued "you can legally be with Alice"
Narcissa rolled her eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about"
"Oh yes you do. Harry told me that Neville told him that he and Draco saw you two kissing"
"That was... a mistake. "
"Cissa, I'll be honest with you, 'cause I love you and you know it" Regulus took her hand "you need to fuck"
"That's- that's not your fucking business"
"Yes it is. Sirius is also worried. He even offered to babysat Draco for a night"
Narcissa tsks "it's not that bad"
"Oh yes it is"
Sirius loved Draco, even if he would've never admitted it. But he babysat him a few times and... Yeah, well, it was not a good idea. They were both too stubborn and too different to work together.
"Sex is not that important"
"I know, but you want to do it, and Alice wants to do it, so go to a fucking date with her and fuck her as if it were your last chance"
"Alice is a widow, she still loves Frank and you know it"
"I... Well, yes, okay. But Frank died years ago and now she's ready to move on"
"How can you know it?"
"'Cause she told me so"
"She... What?"
Regulus smiled "I might have talked to her before coming here"
"You piece of..."
Draco came down the stairs in that moment and he gasped.
"Mum! Was you about to say a bad word?!"
"Of course not, honey. I was saying that uncle Reggie is a piece of... cake for buying you a gift. What has he given you?"
Draco showed her a green pajamas with dragons printed on it.
"Wow, that's amazing, honey"
"And" added Regulus, the bastard "I was thinking that maybe tonight you could wear it at a sleepover at my house, with Harry and Neville. Alice already said yes"
You little piece of shit though Narcissa.
"Yes! Mum, mum, mum, can I go? Pleaaaaaaase! Please! I'll be good. I'll do all my homeworks and tidy my room, I swear. Can I go? Can I? You promised me I would have done a sleepover with Harry and Neville! Can I? Please!"
Narcissa sigh and forced a smile "sure, darling"
"Yes!" he hugged her "thank you thank you thank you!"
"Now go to pack your bag, mh?" suggested Regulus, the traitor.
"Sure!" and the child ran again upstairs.
"I told you not to..." Narcissa rolled her eyes "I don't know why I keep bother".
"Alice will come to pick you up at seven"
"I hate you"
"You'll thank me. Wear the dress you wore at my birthday, green is definitely your color"
"I hate you so much"
"Sure, keep telling you that" Regulus started to go upstairs, probably to help Draco "oh, and don't do it on the couch. I sit there"
"I'll do it there just to bother you"
"Your son sits there"
"He'll never know it"
"I'll throw flowers at your future lesbian wedding"
"Fuck off"

Note
Again... first, I do not consider Before the Storm to be the same universe as the original LiS. Because there are multiple issues that arise thanks to the entirely-too-idyllic life of Rachel Amber. And here is one of the truly big ones: the police are extremely protective of people in the law enforcement field and even a corrupt official who was thrown out of office will still be looked after by the police.
What does this matter? Simply this: if Rachel Amber went missing, then the police would continue to search for her even if her parents were blase about things. The reason is you don't let criminals get away with harming the families of law enforcement, because then criminals will start getting ideas about attacking cops where they are most "vulnerable" - their families.
In addition, it doesn't matter what ending you choose for BtS, Rachel is still abandoned in both endings. This just doesn't work well when you consider Rachel's family is actively looking for Rachel in the William Lives timeline. And when you look at the two timelines, there is one huge difference. In the core timeline, Chloe Price is part of Rachel's life. In the William Lives timeline... they never met.
Why should that matter? Well, having Rachel's family seeking Rachel in the William Lives timeline allows for us to know Rachel is missing in both timelines. (Honestly, wouldn't it be more interesting and fun if Rachel had been alive in the William Lives timeline and had been dating alt-Max? And Rachel urges Max to change things back, and to find her? It would be even more tragic for Max afterward to know that Rachel is dead, that she'll never see her again.)
Anyway. Why would Rachel's parents have nothing to do with Rachel if Chloe were a part of Rachel's life? There is an answer, and it is a tragic one but it also explains why Rachel wanted so badly to get out of Arcadia Bay: Rachel's parents were homophobes. And Rachel was out in the core timeline due to Chloe.
So. Chloe either ignored the homophobia or just didn't realize it. And it could also be the parents held their tongue around Chloe because Chloe was very in-your-face, and their prejudices were more the quiet sniping type, an emotionally-draining household that makes Rachel desperate to get out. But it's not like Chloe's household situation is any better, David is a douche and Joyce is quietly abusive. So Rachel started looking for other outlets, other means of escape.
Let's go one step further. Rachel was a straight-A student. She could have easily gotten a full scholarship to any college she wanted. She could escape that way. But what if she didn't want to go to college?
I mean, let's face it. School sucks. Few of us would return to school if we could get away with it. College is nice for the added freedom, but these days it has become an obligation. If you don't go to college then you're never going to get anywhere in your life, or so we're told. And Rachel has been hip-deep in high school drama for years now.
That would even explain why she looked into becoming a model. She had a teacher who was using her as a photography tool, and he likely flattered her, had her thinking she could make it because this was the sort of thing he did. He manipulated girls and used them.
So... getting back to the core question... why did Chloe not talk to Rachel's parents after Rachel vanished? In all likelihood once Rachel was gone, they stopped caring. Rachel was shameful. She was gay. (Doesn't matter she was bi, that's still gay to many folk.) So they probably told Chloe that Rachel had chosen to leave and they weren't interested in tracking her down, though they likely put it in... more socially acceptable language.
Obviously when Chloe wasn't a part of Rachel's life (in the William Lives timeline) then Rachel wasn't outed as bi and they cared. Their sweet innocent little girl was missing. Thus they continue looking for her and urging the police to search for her.
Getting back to BtS one last time... given what we saw of James Amber and what he had done for Rachel in the past (carrying her when she was hurt and honestly even taking Rachel with him when he'd seen Sera was spiraling downward into drug abuse rather than abandon both of them), I cannot see him abandoning his daughter. It would be out of character for the man we saw.
Mark Jefferson was not a brilliant man. The only reason Max and Chloe never realized he was a threat was because he was a teacher (and also a favorite of Max's). Given there were already rumors flying about that he had been sleeping with Rachel... it is likely that the police, working for a District Attorney (or even former DA), would have brought Jefferson in for questioning, and would have solved the case fairly quickly. So for all of the cute moments in BtS, it fails to sync up with LiS itself. The writers at Dontnod undoubtedly had a different idea in mind for Rachel's parents.
Or at least so I hope. Because one aspect of me as a writer is to create extra material that never sees the light of day, to craft an actual foundation from which the story stands firm. You may never see that foundation, but it provides the basis from which the story itself will stand. Or you could think of it as an iceberg - there is a lot of ice under the surface holding up the piece you see above the waves. If we ever to see the notes written up on each character, we'd likely see so much more than had been revealed in the game.
Why do you think Max and/or Chloe never talked to Rachel’s parents in the original game?? Or even considered doing it? I know Chloe had said they had already moved on or something, but from Max’s POV it still might’ve been worth a shot.
I might have missed something from the game, but far as I know, they never bring up Rachel’s parents again after Max asks about them.
I think Chloe knew it was a lost cause, and I think Max trusts Chloe on the matter.
Chloe got to know Rachel's family…a little too well in Before The Storm. She knows James is stubborn, and Rose likes to live in her fantasy land. It would be hard to change their minds if they were in denial. Plus, Chloe might have broken up their family, so her bond with James might have been to destroyed for them to even consider searching together.
As for Max, I assume that she just takes Chloe's word for it. She doesn't totally trust Chloe to be an unreliable narrator when it comes to Rachel (EX: Chloe says multiple times that she thinks Rachel is dead, yet Max still has some thoughts/dialogue that implies she thinks it's possible that Rachel might have left town.) but Chloe is clearly really desperate to find her and it's easy to believe that she be helping Rachel's parents if they were making an effort.
Plus, Max is super observation. She likely noticed that Chloe was the only one hanging up fliers. She also likely noticed that no one was making a big fuss about Rachel expect for Chloe. The absence of Rachel's parents can be felt through the game because they're literally doing nothing when it seems like they should be doing everything. I'm sure Max notices that too.

Peter Parker’s parent teacher conference
Warnings: IronStrange, Supremefamily, bullied Peter, dick head teachers, anxious Peter and homophobia.
-Peter POV-
"Hey Bambi, why didn't you tell us about your parent-teacher conference tomorrow night?" Pops asked sitting next to me on the living room couch.
"I didn't think you would've wanted to go? Dads not the one for school or teachers and you're -well- you." I explained tentatively.
"I'll take that as a compliment. Just so you know, we'll be there for around 5 so just after your decathlon meeting. It'll just be me and your dad so no need to be embarrassed." Pops told me.
"Thanks. This'll be the first parent-teacher conference I would've ever been to." I told him.
"Same kid. It's a first time experience for us all." Pops smiled at me.
"Not many times that happens." I commented resting my head on his shoulder.
"No it's not Bambi, no it's not." He smiled putting his head on mine.
-Next day at 5 o'clock-
"Hey Penis, what're you still doing here? This is a thing for kids with parents." Flash taunted walked passed me in the gymnasium as I waited for my dads.
"Shut up Flash, you know nothing about my family." I told him.
"You better watch your tone Parker or you'll have another black eye." Flash threatened getting really close to me.
"If you would be so kind as to step away from my kid, it would he greatly appreciated." Pops' voice spoke from next to me. They must've just arrived.
"Oh my God! It's Stephen Strange! And Tony Stark!" Flash all but yelled making the whole room fall silent.
"It's Stephen Stark actually. I didn't spend thousands on a wedding for people to not recognise my changed last name." Pops corrected.
"I'm so sorry. I'm such a fan of both of your works." Flash blabbered composing himself.
"Eugene! We've been looking everywhere for you!" A man, who I presume is Flash's father, scolded walking up to us with a woman trailing behind.
"Sorry father but look who I found. The Starks." Flash excitedly announced.
At this point I slowly slipped away from him and walked up to my Dad who gladly greeted me with a hug. I could feel the warmth of the arc reactor on my chest and it gave a strange comfort. After a few moments we let go but I didn't move very far, being so close to Flash made me really anxious.
"Underoos you okay?" Dad asked me worriedly trying to look into my eyes.
"Yeah I'm fine, just tired. I was up late finishing a piece of homework last night." I lied hoping Pops wouldn't say anything as I fell asleep on him last night.
"Wow Mister Stark. I must say I'm a big fan of your work. If you haven't noticed I try to style myself off of you." Flash's father said showing off his black tailored suit and aviator sunglasses and reached out for a handshake.
"I'm flattered but I don't do handshakes. I'm not the biggest fan of touching." Dad told him trying to give a convincing smile.
"Then why've you got an arm around Pen-Peter?" Flash asked making both my Dads give him the 'Bitch WTF' look. I hate that look. Dad was about to say something but I decided to cut in.
"So, why don't we do what you came here to do and speak to my teachers? Sounds great, let's go." I spoke grabbing Pops' hand and dragging him and Dad to one of my teachers.
"Who was he?" Dad asked in a demanding tone.
"Nobody important. Look Mr. Harrington's free. Let's go and talk to him." I rushed and pulled my dads towards Mr. Harrington's table.
"Ah, Peter and Mr. and Mr. Stark. Lovely to meet you, I love all you've done for the world." Mr Harrington spoke as we took our seats.
"Thank you Mr. Harrington." Pops said.
"No problem. So, I teach Peter Physics and I've got no problems. The only thing I would say is that he is often on his phone during lesson and doesn't listen that much. However with that being said, he's never got below an A+ on his tests. You should be proud of him." Mr. Harrington smiled.
"We are. Is that all?" Dad said ruffling my hair slightly.
"That's all thanks." Mr. Harrington announced and shook Pops' hand before we walked away.
"That was a really good report but who're you texting during class? It better not be one of the others or your dad." Pops asked and gave Dad a pointed look.
"No it's this guy I met online. His names Harley Keener and he seems really nice." I explained as I lead them to my history teacher.
"Harley Keener?" Dad asked shocked.
"Yeah. Why? Do you know him?" I questioned.
"Sorta. I'll explain when we get home." Dad dismisses before turning around to face my history teacher Mrs. Keens.
"Wow, this is a shock. It's not everyday the Starks turn up to a parent-teacher conference. How are you both?" She rushed out slightly flustered.
"We're doing fine thank you. How is Peter in this subject?" Pops asked, straight to the point as always.
"Peter is amazing, always hands his homework in on time, always listens in lesson and has never received less than an A on a test. You should be proud of him." She informed smiling at me.
"Wow, our little goody-two-shoes." Dad teased ruffling my hair slightly.
"One thing that you may or may not be aware of is a boy called Eugene Thomson. He seems to be bullying Peter for whatever reason, I've caught him a few times throwing paper balls at Peter or sliding him malicious notes. I'm not sure if it's friendly or not but I felt you should know. Thank you." Mrs. Keens informed, may the ground swallow me up now.
"We will also discuss this later on." Pops told me sternly, oh no.
We left Mrs. Keens with a slight wave and headed back to the main area to find another teacher. My eyes landed on my English teacher who didn't seem very happy, this is not going to end well.
"Oh look, it's your English teacher." Dad commented and pointed to Mr. Malory. Fuuuuuuuuck.
"How do you know my English teacher?" I asked worriedly.
"Research department, making sure my son has the best education he can. Let's go to him now while he's free." Dad brushed off and started to walk towards him. God save me.
My English teacher hates me for no reason, always turns a blind eye to Flash, always nitpicks my assignments and finds any reason to not give me a good grade. He's also quite homophobic and has expressed on many occasions his hatred for my Dads and anything to do with them. He even leads a group called the 'Freedom from Starks'. This is so not ending well.
"Peter, didn't expect to see you here." Mr. Malory commented not looking up from his clip board.
"Well, this is a parent-teacher conference and I, as his parent, would like to speak to my sons teacher about his school work. If you'd be so kind." Dad said, his words oozing sarcasm and sass. He really did his research.
Mr. Malory picked his head up and stared Dad dead in the face. The distaste clearly shown on both faces as the three of us took our seats, Pops took Dad's hand, probably as a way to calm him down. This is worse than I thought.
"Well, if I'm being honest, Peter is the worse student I've ever taught. He's disruptive in lessons, throws paper at a wonderful student called Flash Thompson, slides Flash malicious notes and seems to find any excuse to blame Flash. His work is simply upgradable and I couldn't thing on a bigger lost cause than your son. Any questions?" Mr. Malory spoke and Dads face got redder and redder with anger.
"Really, then why did the last teacher we speak to say it was the other way around, that 'Flash' was the one throwing paper and passing notes?" Dad questioned leaning forward in his seat.
"Look, I don't know what happens in other lessons and quite frankly, I don't care. All I know is Peter is a major distraction and it's bordering bulling with Flash." Mr. Malory told us.
"What about his work is so upgradable? Is it his handwriting or the content of what he's writing?" Pops asked placing his other hand on top of Dads. This is getting serious.
"The content. The ludicrous stories of the Norse Gods and his 'adventures' with them are beyond reason. His stories are beyond the realm of possibility and are just ludicrous." Mr. Malory told them.
"His stories about the Norse Gods, does this involve Thor putting his hammer in inconvient places or Loki and black widow being kind and caring to others?" Das asked.
"Yes." Was Mr. Malory's short response.
"Well, it is within the realm of possibility as it happens. Every single day at the compound or sanctum." Pops spit out trying to keep calm.
"Oh well, maybe he should learn to be more creative with his stories." Mr. Malory spoke silently challenging Pops.
"Thanks sir." I hastily said before dragging both my dads out of their seats and walking off.
"No Pete, I would like to hear more about how much of a bad student you are." Dad argued challenging Mr Mallory.
"And I will be glad to provide. Mr Park-"
"Stark." Dad deadpans.
"Mr Stark is highly disruptive not only to Mr Thomson but is also always on his phone, sleeping in class or just straight up not listening. Honestly, his behaviour is a reflection as to why you people shouldn't be allowed to have kids, you simply don't know how to raise them." Mr Mallory continued to explain. Dad went red.
"What do you mean by you people?" Pops asked scarily calm as be placed a hand on Dad's knee to soothe him slightly.
"Gays. You shouldn't be allowed children because there's not a mother to properly raise them, I never had these issues when Peter lived with May. I honestly think it would be in his best interest to place him back in her care."
Oh my god. He knows May is dead. He knows that I can't be 'placed back in her care' and It was the same when I did live with her, nothing changed.
We were all stunned into silence, including some of the surrounding parents and teachers who were stunned. Well, we were silent until Dad blew up at him.
"How dare you," he began, "I take as good care of my son as any other parent here does, I give him as much as I can and do everything I can to be a good parent to him. If he's sleeping in your classes or being distracted then maybe you should make your lessons more interesting and not be blind sighted by your homophobic, bigoted and downright dickish beliefs. Your head may be crammed so far up your ass you can smell your lungs but maybe once join us in the real world and see that just because people are different doesn't mean they're not as capable. I will be putting in a formal complaint and if I were you, I'd start looking for new places of employment seeing as I am one of the biggest donators to this school. Come on Pete, we're going home."
Dad then grabbed Pops' hand and my arm before storming out of the building towards the car. You could see the steam coming out of his ears as Pops tried in a desperate attempt to calm him down.
I think I can safely say that this night was a disaster.

Why the LGBTQ+ representation in Julie and the Phantoms matters a lot: a vent an essay
I know a lot of you are going to judge me for this, but I still use facebook. I'm sorry. And I'm in a lot of JATP fan groups becase sometimes the content can be good.
Yesterday someone made a post about the fact that they wished Alex wouldn't be gay, and (obviously) a lot of people were fighting in the comments. And I read a comment that said something like "I support LGBT people but when I watch the show with my kids I skip the gay parts because I don't want them seeing that, I don't know how to explain that to them."
And I????? Lost my shit. Please let's ignore that the interactions between Willie and Alex are quite obviously family friendly and that their comment didn't make any sense. Let's get to the important part: why LGBT representation, especially in kids media, can actually help people. Save lifes. Teach children that being who they are is NOT WRONG.
I am queer. I'm proud of who I am and I'm comfortable with my sexuality (pansexual) and I'm still struggling with my gender but let's not talk about that. The thing is, I know who I am.
But it took me a lot to be here. It cost me so much. And you know what was the only thing that taught me that being who I am was okay? Representation in media.
I live in a country where, even if it's not illegal to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community, it's pretty damn difficult. We have no same-sex marriage, no adoption, no way of legally changing your assigned-at-birth gender. No especial laws that protect us. The only thing we can rely on legally is the fact that, in our constitution, "no discrimination is allowed."
Homophobia is a huge issue, so there's zero LGBTQ+ visibility. I didn't even know what gay meant until I was like, eleven.
I grew up in a house where "gay" was considered a bad word, and I wasn't allowed to say it just like I wasn't allowed to say "fuck." In the other hand, derogatory terms for gay men were used as insults, not only in my house but everywhere I went.
So, even if I was vaguely aware of what being queer was, the only thing that was taught to me was that it was bad. If you grow up associating gay to a "bad word", your brain will assume that being that it's bad, even if you've never met someone gay yourself.
And then I started reading a lot.
I was twelve when I read the Percy Jackson books. I loved them with all my hear then and I love them with all my heart now. I read like, nine of them in the span of two weeks, and Nico di Angelo was the FIRST LGBTQ+ character I ever encountered.
There's this scene in which Nico is forced to come out and it's revealed that he has a crush on Percy, which just makes sense based on his actions throughout the other books. I remember reading and being like oh. It took me a little while, but I also remember thinking "well, Nico is cool. And Nico is gay. So gay people must be cool too, unlike everything that's been told to me."
As simple as that. Then I joined the fandom and through fans and fanfiction and online discourse, I finally understood that LGBTQ+ people weren't wrong. It was like that, through media.
I was thirteen when my best friend came out to me as a lesbian. Since I had lost that internalized homophobia I had grown up with, I made sure she knew I'd always love her.
My other friends' reactions weren't as cool as that. One of my other friends called me and told me that she didn't know what to think of her coming out, because she just knew what I did before: that, in the society we had grown up with, gay = bad. I talked some sense into her and it wasn't until she was exposed to LGBTQ+ representation in media that she lost that way of thinking as well.
We literally taught ourselves through books and TV shows and fandom culture.
It's been six years since my best friend came out to me, years before I figured out I was queer as well, and she still thanks me for being cool. For understanding. It meant the world to her. And we owe that to the Percy Jackson books, that taught me that gay, in fact, ≠ wrong.
If I had been exposed to a TV show or a book or something with LGBTQ+ representation before, it would've helped me so damn much. It would've helped me understand that I wasn't wrong, that I wasn't sick, that I was just- another person. Even after all of that, it took me a lot to accept who I was, because of everything that had been taught to me until that moment.
So THAT is why representation always matters. Especially in kid shows. Representation helped me SO DAMN MUCH and I believe Julie and the Phantoms will help a lot of kids with that.
I know queer kids will be watching the show, growing up in a conservative, homophobic society but will be able to make that connection: Alex is cool. Alex is gay. So being gay must be cool. Must be okay.
That's all it takes to save queer kids the heartache and the worrying and the pain. Just knowing that there are people like you out there, proof that, unlike your parents or your teachers or whoever says, being queer is okay. Queer poeple exist and their sexuality isn't everything that there is to them.
There are enough discourses about how everything about Alex is great, and how important the fact that the way it's treated is so casual is. But it's important, because it helps. It teaches. It breaks wrong ideas that are, sadly, still being imposed to kids.
So, just to finish this thing I don't know what to call: Julie and the Phantoms it's great. I'm 100% sure that the representation in it will be not only teaching children, but CHANGING LIFES as well. It's the show 8-year-old me wishes had watched.
That's all I wanted to say.
Netflix you better renew it ok bye.

so I forced my cishet brother to watch heartstopper with me, here's how it's going: (little disclaimer: anything that may sound homophobic is most likely due to him being uninformed, he is very respectful towards me, my queer friends and his queer friends, just a bit insecure in his own sexuality since he is still a teenager)
Episode 1:
-his initial reaction "Is this some gay shit? I didn't know we were gonna watch some gay shit!"
-he didn't like the little leaf animations
-he was very confused about Charlie's and Ben's sexuality at first
-he likes Tao, I think
-he felt really sorry for Elle because she had no friends
-he wanted some heteros, so I was like "look, you have Tao and Elle being all cute" and he was like "but she goes to a different school!"
-he didn't quite catch that Elle is trans and I had to explain it to him twice
-he kept asking me the rules of rugby and if it's anything like American football, like I know
-he hates Ben with a passion
-"do they get together?" about Nick and Charlie
-I had to explain to him what the x at the end of the text message meant bc we're not native speakers
-in the end he didn't exactly say he liked it, but he didn't wanna go to sleep so I asked if he wanted to watch episode 2 and he did
Episode 2:
-he thought the text messages were unrealistic, like he would never write like that, so I had to explain to him that obviously they sound odd translated, but in english they're actually pretty realistic
-when Ben came on screen he was like "I hate him"
-he was stressing out about the heart Charlie sent, like "no, Charlie, don't ruin this"
-I actually picked up on that and asked why he thought it would ruin it and he was like "yk I send my best friend hearts, but if one of us was gay that would be weird" (again, this is not him being homophobic, he simply doesn't have any experience with things like that, he is respectful towards my gay friends)
-he thinks Charlie is more handsome than Nick (personally, I agree)
-he thought Nick was leading Charlie on and was like "quit flirting with him!"
-he didn't laugh at the "ur mom" joke, very disappointing
-he was very disappointed when Nick deleted his message, asking Charlie to hang out again
-"is the teacher gay?"
-I don't think he likes Tao anymore, he didn't like Tao's advice for Charlie
-he said he liked how Charlie handled his crush, not pushing Nick too far, trying to just stay close friends
-about Elle: "do they know she's trans?" "yes" "oh"
-he didn't comment on Tara and Darcy at all
-when Nick was freaking out over holding Charlie's hand, he was beginning to realize that maybe Nick's not straight after all ("no! what are you doing?!")
-when the hug scene came on, he was like "you posted this on your story", which I did
-he commented that this situation is very conflicting for Nick bc on the one side he has his feelings for Charlie but on the other side he has his friends that won't accept him if he comes out as gay
-when Nick got out his laptop, he was like "am I gay" and then got very excited when Nick actually googled that
-"no! why would they end it there?!"

this post is going to flop so hard BUT BETTTT
Okay, so like I forget what exactly incited it, but I've been thinking a lot about being in high school- More specifically, like back when we would put on plays and shit- Yk- theater shit. (BUT I wasn't a theater kid, unfortunately :(. I was a stinky smelly band kid [Joking, but everyone ik shits on band 🥺 AND IT HAS SO MANY CORE MEMORIES FOR ME])
So like my school way back when in my sophomore year (this is such a fucking cannon event for me) put on this play. And I know its so like random but I've been thinking about it a lot again. That play was such a core memory because literally like- Idk how to explain but trying to find lgbtq+ individuals in media was SO fucking hard. Like- me being in the pitch perfect fandom. Bechloe wasn't ever cannonized the way Lumity is, but it was still so much hinted and queerbaited to the extent the fandom and actors didnt shy away from throwing a bone to them.
So when my school went and put on this play- My drama teacher (I love her sm. Still convinced her and the geometry teacher were lesbians but its okay. They were roomates. THEY GAVE A VIBE. also geometry teacher was so cool and we talked abt writing bc she saw me reading Twilight and I then was like "Yeah I'm trying to read a bunch of famous/wrll known books to like then see what those authors did and WHY they became famous to then take that for my book that I wanna write!!" Anyway, I ripped into Harry Potter so hard). Put on a production of a play that she then opened with to the students (before it was shown to the public) and was like "if your gonna be homophobic you can leave now because this play is mature" blah blah. I forget. BUT it was like "Oh????"
THUS ISTG IS A CANNON EVENT!!! Because the play literally has a cannon lesbian character and I was like- foaming at the mouth like. GOD I loved it sm.
My dad didnt want to take me to see it cause he was really offensive back then. Cue me asking my mom instead :). ANYWAY.
LESBIAN STAGE KISS. LESBIAN STAGE KISS. GRAHHHH. Anyway, cannon event.
BUT THE THING IS. I don't ever fucking hear anyone talk about this play. And yeah its old and isnt like yk... Great?? Least compared to modern portrayal). I WAS SO INTO IT BECAUSE LIKE!!! HELLO?? LESBIAN PERSON RIGHT THERE!!!
SHE IS ME FR. (I wasnt out as nonbinary back then and I was only identifying as Bi iirc.)
BUT BUT
SHE KILLS MONSTERS!!!
I just recently watched it last month again cause they've got versions on YT of it, not of my schools :(. And I was remembering like "damn this IS still cool asf." Like- I miss theater and seeing shit like that. Plays are so fun, and I need to go look around the area to see if any schools put any on this year BECAUSE THEYRE SO FUN.
Unfortunately unhinged me was also trying to insert toh as each character and was trying to figure out who could be who from toh. IF IT COULD FIT W LUMITY. Kinda but not rlly. The male character thats dating the protagonist needs to not exist. Thank you.
If I remember I'll take a picture of the playbill cause I still got it somewhere. Idk I'm just thinking about that play a lot and I have just never seen anyone else talk about it.
I'm not really into D&D, but that's a main component of it.
nope, nope, we are NOT going to ramble about some obscure thing that no one else understands. NOPE. I'm not gonna. Go away intrusive thoughts to talk about it!!! 🙄🙄. I HAVE TO BE NORMAL!! I SWEAR!!

Fear Street Part 3
here we go:
- we love her already joking about marriage and reasons she can't
- this rhyme feels like foreshadowing because he's not blind - why does it exist, how did it come about??
- already got Hannah and Sarah flirting in public and the town drunk being a creep
- we do love Solomon though (for now at least) - and my brain just put together that his past name is Goode as in Nick Goode
- 'drinks blood of virgins' already sounds like such a nice lady
- if you find a book in a witch's hut that just has a list of demon names you don't start reading them aloud - that's stupid at least read in your head and show us the page
- just instantly going parting as if you didn't just get a horrifying prophecy about the devil
- yes Sarah protect your girl, insult the man and fuck in the woods
- I do like the dynamic of Deena being outspoken and not hiding her sexuality but Sarah being the one to push Hannah away and say that it's wrong and they shouldn't
- demons interrupting their time in the woods and the damn dog interrupting her self-care time
- HALF SIX and most of the morning work is done - it's still dark out and why didn't you wake her when you first started chores??
- also the fact that Hannah went out of her way to find Sarah and take her back to her house just to find a prayer passage when she's not meant to see her anymore is... ballsy - especially cause her mum comes home soon after and throws Sarah out the door
- pigs are terrifying if you think about it and also the noises of it eating its children doesn't help
- Poor Merryboy, he was nice dog when he wasn't making terrifying noises at the door
- yay Solomon for being the only non-homophobe in Union - also is the secret the seeing a possible demon or that she's gay and it wasn't a 'dalliance'
- he even left the eyes in a neat pile for ease of cleaning
- the horrifying imagery of the children lined up outside the hall like in the second movie showing correlation between Sarah's life and the people she cursed
- why are they letting the town drunk speak at the meeting like he actually has authority on the situation??
- is he trying to victim blame in a situation that he ran from and didn't see the conclusion of??
- at least all the other kids look guilt and like they don't want this to happen or their terrified of the curse but i hope it's cause they don't want to see their two friends get hung
- it's a stealth mission - clearly visible in in the grass and isn't being silent, throw something and instead of the person being like 'something was through and looking around the area for where it came from, spends 10 minutes looking at the item thrown giving plenty of time to sneak by
- she really said 'fuck all of them I'm gonna make the curse real cause they're a bunch of homophobes'
- the widow is dead time for a new witch to come to town
- of course it's Solomon should have put that together when I realised his last name because of the theory
- yeah you want to sacrifice one person but they get possessed and kill upwards of like 15 people which is a much bigger price to pay
- did he seriously think that Sarah would turn her back on the entire town and the person he cursed killed her brother?!?!
- that's a much more disgusting way of getting your hand cut off and least it explains why it was down there while her body was a car ride away
- wait punishment for witchcraft is hanging but they never did anything to the widow??
- I've just realised I still have another hour to go
- confessing to protect Hannah because no one is going to believe her if she blames Solomon
- I like these guys being nice and giving her a proper burial
- I've also just realised it's the same actor who plays Solomon and Nick, I need to go through the Imdb to find out other crossover actors other than the obvious
- at least the theories are correct that it's the Goode family behind it all and I'm not disappointed by the reveal
- first Deena stole a cop's gun then a cop car, Deena really does say ACAB
- yeah its gonna get a whole lot worse and that is so disgusting
- I already love this plan but did they seriously tell him their going to kill the Sherrif and not why - granted he just jumped in the car so...
- is there really time for a motivational speech right now when there are shut tons of killer after you??
- so glad we get the lyric songs back cause I don't think I could last two hours of a hour film with just 17th century instrumental
- but it's so pretty with the bioluminescent writing and neon signs
- I was waiting for the plan to go to shit and they just go after anyone
- okay that was very fast paced - but how many times is deena gonna cut open her hands and uts a lot of blood so its gonna be deep - they were on different hands so is she just gonna have two scars, one on each now.
- I was gonna ask how they're back in the cave system but the tree is there so the mall was built on top of the camp grounds so theirs obviously an entrance
- time for round 2 - I swear if Josh or any of them die now.. I dont know what I'll do
- well done Sarah finally making the Goode family face their consequences and none of the main 6 died in this film
- why does he have so many goats?? And is no one going to question why two girls covered in dirt and blood are walking out of Nick Goode's house??
- I just had to pause and cackle so glad it turned into a comedy at the end as that truck hit and then the music started with 'baby...'
- Martin in a school parking lot selling things to minors - has no teacher come out to check what he's doing cause I think even in 1990's that would seem a little weird
- Everyone getting their happy ending - Josh meets another cute girl, Sam and Deena have a date at Sarah Fier's grave - you know the usual
- of course ends on a bad note of the book being stolen but that was funny cause no one picks up an ancient time like your stealing a book from a friend that their reading, that quickly
And that's the end and I loved it and I want to spent this weekend reqatching all of them now.

Hazbin Hotel and VivziePop Drama
I've been hearing/seeing a lot of drama concerning Hazbin Hotel and it's creator VivziePop, and while I don't know her personally or really care what people think, I do hate slander and the spread of misinformation. Truly nothing in this world upsets me more than when people believe rumours while making no effort to fact check, and that's exactly what's happening right now. That said, I wanted to try and clear up some of the rumours going around about Vivzie and the show, because I think some of them are absolutely outrageous and need to be addressed.
1. Vivzie hired an abuser onto the show.
Now, I’m not here to burn anyone at the stake, especially since I don’t know anything about Chris Niosi (the alleged abuser), who I believe openly admitted to the allegations? Regardless, this is a moot point. He’s not credited anywhere at the end of the episode. So either he was booted before production wrapped up or he had nothing to do with the show in the first place.
2. Vivzie supports bestiality.
Admittedly I thought this one might be true, since she draws so many anthropomorphic animals. In the very least, I figured she was probably a furry, but I haven't seen any evidence supporting this accusation either. Near as I can tell, this rumour started for two reasons. One, because of her famous Zoophobia comic, which revolves around a therapist named Cameron who gets assigned to work with human-like animals. Ironically, poor Cameron suffers from crippling zoophobia, which makes for some pretty decent comedy. I didn't read the whole comic because, quite frankly, it’s not my cup of tea and I just don’t have the time. But from what I saw there are no examples of bestiality anywhere in its contents.
Two, this message, which blew up all over social media:
Tumblr media
To me, this just proves that people are more interested in virtue signalling than checking to see if their claims are actually true. Everything about this message is 100% false, which I’ll touch on in my next point.
3. Vivzie is a pedophile and she’s drawn child porn.
This is hands down the worst allegation and holy shit, I really wish people would stop using it to defame someone when they don't have any proof. This is a life-ruining accusation and you're disgusting if you believe it based solely on hearsay. This rumour began to spread when Vivzie allegedly shipped the two underage characters in the above photo and drew them NSFW-style. At the time, one character was 19 while the other was 14, and the relationship was a very illegal student-teacher relationship.
This is WRONG! The characters were not 14 and 19, they were actually 18 and 19, the legal age of consent! Additionally, the relationship wasn't student-teacher. One character is a student and the other is Alumni (a student teacher). This one pisses me off the most because it’s obvious the person who sent that message didn’t even bother to conduct any research. They said, “He’s a teacher, she’s a child.” Both characters are MALE!
Since then, Vivzie has apologised for any NSFW art she drew in the past and stated that it's not a reflection of her art today, and I'm inclined to believe her. Almost every artist has drawn NSFW content at some point in their career, and hers wasn't even distasteful. Other than this one example, there is no evidence anywhere that suggests she’s drawn “child porn”. In fact, she’s never even drawn explicit NSFW.
Please stop spreading this rumour. It’s dangerous and completely incorrect.
4. Vivzie said the "N" word!
No, she didn’t. It was a fabricated tweet. That is all.
5. Vivzie is copyright striking every video that criticises her!
No she isn't. YouTube’s DMCA is automatically striking people who are using full clips without permission. Vivzie has gone public several times, telling people exactly how to avoid getting a copy strike from the algorithm, which is something she absolutely does not have to do. At this point, she doesn't owe you anything. In my opinion, she should just sit back and watch these channels burn.
Tumblr media
6. Vivzie copies and traces other artists’ work.
This is another one I’ve seen going around, but I looked into it as thoroughly as I could and failed to find any concrete evidence to support the allegations. As of right now, there are only two examples of Vivzie “copying” or “tracing” other artists’ work, and both of them can be explained. The first is a gif she made with a character from her Zoophobia comic, which looked a lot like the girl from ME!ME!ME!:
Tumblr media
Damn, that’s pretty incriminating. She obviously stole-- oh, wait. This gif was part of a ME!ME!ME! MEP (multi editor’s project) and Vivzie didn’t take full credit, despite the fact that it’s not even a direct trace. It’s supposed to look like the original, which she fully cited. The second example comes from a short dance sequence from her Timber video, which seems to have been inspired by several Disney movies. As Vivzie herself stated, that was an homage to the original animations. Lots of artists and shows do this, including the beloved Stephen Universe series.
Tumblr media
Regardless, this doesn’t count as stealing character designs or plagiarising someone’s work. It’s meant to be respectful, an admiration of other projects. Other than these two instances, however, there is no evidence of her tracing or stealing other people’s art. From what I’ve discovered, all other designs she’s been accused of “stealing” are characters she bought and paid for. They’re quite literally HER characters.
7. Vivzie supports problematic creators.
I’m getting really tired of guilt by association. Vivzie follows and enjoys some controversial figures, but who cares? We can argue all day about whether or not the accusations against them are true, but it ultimately has nothing to do with the show or Vivzie as a person. I do the exact same thing, to be honest-- follow and listen to people on all sides so I can learn, understand, and form my own opinions. The fact that some people think this is bad, to me, is absolutely mesmerising. Vivzie doesn’t control what the people she follows post, and if they do something overly questionable she publicly criticises and denounces it.
From Vivzie:
Tumblr media
Now that that’s been dealt with, I’d like to address some complaints/claims about the actual show.
8. Vaggie is an angry Latina stereotype and a lesbian stereotype. Vivzie is appropriating Hispanic culture and misrepresenting the gay for profit.
First off, I see a lot of people passing around yet more misinformation regarding Vivzie's race. So many people seem to think she's white? Well, I'm here to tell you they're wrong. Very incorrect. Vivzie is in fact Latina, and Vaggie is meant to mirror some of her own personality traits.
Tumblr media
Second, who is Vaggie mad at? Context matters, and if we take a look at the episode, we see that Vaggie is literally only mad at two specific people: Angel Dust and Alastor. Why? Well, for starters, it's her girlfriend's dream to run a rehab hotel for sinners, and Angel Dust nearly demolishes that dream single-handedly. Vaggie has every right to be over-the-top vitriolic. Then there's Alastor, a known sadist, narcissist, and murderer who loves trapping people in his nefarious schemes. He invites himself in, effectively takes over the hotel, and pushes both her and Charlie aside. At one point he even sexually assaults her by slapping her butt during his musical number. So yeah, I think her seething ire is totally justified. Keep in mind, however, that when she's around Charlie she's calm, collected, and happy. I wouldn't call that a stereotype.
Thirdly, the lesbian stereotypes. I keep hearing this argument but I really don't see it. Both Vaggie and Charlie have so much personality and trust for each other. Maybe I'm wrong, but the stereotype I know always totes a more butch, tomboyish woman with a ditsy, innocent, naive woman. Charlie is optimistic, but she isn't stupid. She refuses to shake Alastor’s hand because she knows he’s likely trying to screw her over. She’s also not entirely innocent herself and uses words like “fuck” and “shit”. I also wouldn’t call Vaggie butch or tomboyish. She has a cute, girly presentation, complete with a pink ribbon in her hair, lace stockings, and a dress. She's protective of her girlfriend, as I think we all are with our partners, and there's nothing wrong with that. They're flawed characters, as every character is meant to be. This isn't a problem.
9. The show is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, blah, blah, blah.
I’m amazed this is even an argument. The show is supposed to be a dark comedy that takes place in HELL. You know, the place the worst of the worst end up after they die? What were you expecting? Everyone gets a shot or two fired at them, but that doesn't make them bad characters nor does it make the show itself horrible. Take, for example, Katie Killjoy, the news reporter so many people are up in arms about. She says she doesn’t “touch the gays” because she has “standards”. Well, here’s a newsflash of my own: we’re not supposed to like her! She’s an antagonist. Not to mention ten seconds later Charlie insults her and isn’t the least bit slighted by her pretentious attitude. The characters are strong and don’t take shit from anyone, because to some degree they’re all terrible people who can throw down when it’s called for.
Obviously if you don’t like the show or think it’s offensive, I’m probably not going to change your mind. That’s perfectly fine. You’re entitled to your opinions and you don’t have to watch the show. Just stop lying and stop trying to take it away from everybody else. Stop attacking Vivzie and spreading misinformation without checking the facts. I realise a lot of people probably aren’t trying to be vindictive and only want to do something good, but just remember this: the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Never Alone - The Marauders
Masterlist, Posting Schedule, Requesting Rules, Writing Prompts, navigation
The Marauders x Fem Reader x Marlene McKinnon
A/N: As someone who was bullied in highschool for my sexuality and slandered by members of my family, this was somewhat therapeutic yet hard for me to write as I’ve never spoken about it. If you need a helpline, etc please scroll to the bottom of my navigation <3
Requested/About: The reader is dating Marlene McKinnon, once their relationship is made public, other students decide to be openly homophobic towards her. Her cousin, Sirius Black and his best friend James Potter find out, going after the students and comforting her.
Warnings: Homophobia, Homophobic Slurs, Mention of conversion, Swearing.
“Are you sure you want to, you know, go public?” Your girlfriend Marlene asked.
You felt your heart speed up, sweat already forming in your palms, you sighed.
“Yeah... just give me one more day” you swallowed hard and looked into her starry eyes “I’m tired of hiding who I am, I’m tired of hiding us - but I’m scared.”
Marlene smiled sympathetically from ear to ear, talking your hand in hers.
“It’s never going to be easy, Y/N, but we’ve got each other and that’s all that matters”
You nodded again and held onto her hand tighter, squeezing it as you often did when you were nervous.
Sharing a kiss, the two of you stood up and walked across the school grounds.
Before you could reach the doors to be engulfed by the delicious mouth watering meals, you heard foot steps behind you.
Two boys in the year above you in Raven Claw had closed in on you, they were glaring but the corners of their lips curled up slightly.
“I never would’ve thought Marlene was a dyke—“
“Leave her alone!” You hissed and the taller student, pushing yourself in front of your girlfriend to shield her.
The two boys shared a glance and started laughing.
“You’d think that being a witch you would fix yourself, make yourself normal.” The other boy spat at you.
Your throat went dry and started to feel tight, boiling blood flowed through your veins and you felt like you could throw up or faint, you wanted to scream, to say something back but you couldn’t.
Tears filled your eyes and your vision went glassy, every noise around you turned into muffled nonsense, you were trapped in a vice with your own thoughts and the disgusting comments from other people, torturing yourself and toying with your mind.
Why can’t I be normal?
Am I disgusting?
What are my family going to think?
Sirius won’t be able to look at me
Whilst drowning in your thoughts, Marlene pushed herself out of your shielding and stood up to the other students, arguing back, yelling and getting out her wand.
“You talk a lot boys, why don’t we settle this another way?”
But Marlene wasn’t as good as she thought, the two boys simply laughed at her, disarmed her and walked away, threatening to spill the truth to whole of Hogwarts.
“Y/N?” Your girlfriend called out softly “Y/N”
Blinking away the tears, you slipped out from your vice and felt as if you had been thrusted back into reality.
You looked up at Marlene and felt ashamed for not doing something.
“Marlene, I’m sorry, I love you.”
She shushed you softly “hey, it’s okay.” Her fingers traced your scalp, holding you in her arms “I love you too... let’s just get ourselves sorted out and head off for dinner.”
Wiping away your tears with your sleeve, the two of you walked into the great hall.
You cousin Sirius waved and ushered you to come over to sit with him and his friends.
James Potter and Lily were away with the fairies, giggling.
Remus Lupin looked a lot better than the previous week and the scratches on his face were starting to heal nicely.
You sat next in between your cousin and Girlfriend. Staring at your plate, too scared to say anything incase the boys had already blabbed to them.
“Well, aren’t you going to eat something?” Sirius asked, taking a sip from his goblet.
You nodded “right, yeah” and stabbed some turkey, piercing it with your fork and stuffing it into your mouth.
“You aren’t usually this quiet” James butted in as Lily left to go to the toilet.
Marlene gave James a sad look and started to eat, hoping the subject could be dropped.
“He’s right, Y/N.” Remus said softly “is everything okay?”
You could hear the intrusive thoughts and comments rise in your head again, the vice getting tighter.
You put your head in your hands and started to cry, you wanted to stand up and run but you were too afraid, you were terrified people would make a big deal and would end up finding out the truth.
“Nothing is okay” you wailed.
Sirius wrapped his arm around you and bent his head next to your ear.
“Can you just try your best to explain what’s happened?”
You shook your head even more and continued to cry, wanting to throw up the food you had worked so hard to chew down and swallow.
Marlene sighed and asked Sirius to come over, Sirius got out of his seat and crouched next to Marlene.
Marlene looked at you, the two of you making eye contact, emotions spinning in the air, your hearts running a marathon, this was it - you couldn’t hide anymore.
“Please can I tell him?” Your girlfriends eyes were pleading more than they ever had in their life.
You nodded and cried even more, holding onto her hand for support.
Marlene let out a shaky breath and looked into your cousins deep eyes “me and Y/N, we’ve been together for awhile now and it’s been kept secret but” she sighed again, her voice wobbling “two boys from Raven Claw spotted us and—“
“They think it’s okay to just toss out a homophobic slur like it means nothing, they think it’s a choice and that magic will make me normal” you wailed, too scared to look your cousin and his friends in the eyes.
James’s eyes widened and Lupin looked horrified, he stood up and walked over to your side of the table.
Sirius had never been so infuriated in his life, his veins were bulging out of his skull, his eyes burning with fury, his teeth gritted.
“Who” he growled.
Marlene looked across at the Raven Claw table and pointed at the two lads who were whispering to one another, grimacing and laughing.
Sirius stood up with his hands balled into fists “James—“
“You don’t need to tell me even once.” His best friend replied, pushing back his glasses.
Lupin pulled you into his arms, Marlene still holding your hand.
“I don’t want them to get in trouble—“
“They can’t get away with this, Y/N” Lupin replied softly “it’s bang out of order.”
Sirius stormed over to the Raven Claw table with James, both of them focussing on one lad each. In synch, they pulled the lads up by the back of their collars, dragging them out of their seats.
“Think you’d get away with it, did you?” Sirius seethed.
The lad stood up and stared Sirius down “want to take this outside?”
Sirius didn’t budge, James still holding back the other student.
“Don’t see why I would” Sirius spat “Homophobes don’t deserve to kept in the dark - protected. You disgusting scum bags shouldn’t be allowed here at Hogwarts!”
“And you expect your cousin to be accepted for who she is?”
The professors got up from their tables and hurried over to the unfolding scene, you could hear the rising in whispers and chatter from the other tables around you.
“It’s going to be okay” your girlfriend reassured you.
“You have nothing to be ashamed of” Lupin said softly “you’re perfect the way you are.”
Dumbledore glided over, staring at James and holding Sirius back from launching at the boy. He knew what James and Sirius were mischievous, yet good natured and kind hearted - he knew the was a reason behind this outburst of rage.
“Can the four of you make your way to my office”
James let go of the other student and followed behind Dumbledore.
“Only if you make that dyke normal—“
Sirius turned around and socked the student in the face, causing him to fall on the floor with a bloody nose.
You hid your face into the crook of Lupin’s neck, everyone now knowing your secret.
“Everyone get out!” Dumbledore yelled, everyone instantly leaving the hall in a hurry.
Dumbledore flashed Lupin a look and nodded.
The three of you were sat in the empty great hall for what felt like hours, your stomach doing flips and you couldn’t stop shaking, Lupin and your girlfriend constantly reassuring you and trying to cheer you up.
Sirius and James walked back into the hall, Sirius ran over to you and picked you up into his arms, the two of you crying.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
You shook your head “no but I will be.”
“You don’t ever be ashamed of who you are” Sirius cried “it doesn’t make you any less of the person you are, we all still love you.”
“Are you okay, what happened, I—“
“Those two pricks have been expelled, they’re packing immediately” James smirked, rubbing your back.
You felt part of the weight on your chest had been lifted, James engulfed you into a hug while Sirius talked to your girlfriend, thanking her for being there for you and for treating you nothing short of perfect.
Dumbledore called out your name, asking to speak to you in his office.
James and Sirius smiled and nodded towards Dumbledore, you swallowed another forming lump down your throat and followed your head teacher.
Sitting down in his large and warm office, your eyes were glued to the gorgeous Phoenix sat in-front of you, batting its eyes at you.
“Sirius isn’t in trouble is he?”
“Not at all.” Dumbledore replied “Y/N, I want you to know, you will always be accepted here at Hogwarts and we won’t stand for Homophobia or discrimination of any sort.”
You let out a sigh of relief and nodded, thanking him, not knowing where to look you continued to stare at the Phoenix.
“You shouldn’t be ashamed of who you are but I can understand it takes time, it took me awhile too.” Dumbledore smiled softly.
You looked through his half moon spectacles and into his eyes.
He nodded his head, and held out his hand for you to hold.
“You are never alone, Y/N.” His eyes filled with tears, the two of you finally feeling free.
