Tbh I only thought about maybe- Eve swapping with Tatiana, with Eve becoming a rock goddess  being and Tati becoming an artist (yes- we a whole entire specie sdgsdh). 

I don’t fully know how Quartz would work- both as design and powers,, Like, maybe her “diva’s dimension” would be something connected with time and memory due to her story and time power-.. maybe twisted in some surreal manner to keep it artsy... OH her design could reflect that part of her too! Something like a steampunk Lady Gaga dsudhd-... something with clocks and gears and uhh O! Maybe her dress could recall those Dalì’s melting clocks to fit both the time and artist themes!!  Eve instead- I drew a quick doodle ‘cause I was hit with inspiration eh;;

A being half human and half rock creature- sob I can just see her trying to smooth down her edges when younger and trying to hide that part of her,,, just like young Nadia used make up on her pink half. Apart from sad pasts- I was thinking of her hair looking like flowing lava pattern wise- (forgot to try and show it whoops), while her rock pattern... maybe diamond? Could work with the idea of “if a rock is under enough pressure it will turn into diamond”- and would be a beautiful way to show how she was reborn through her art and accepting herself. Oh right! my thoughts: this is a one-shot book (no cohesive storyline unless chosen) but its so good. so good. i thought shigaraki, dabi and all might in one book was interesting but never the less, super good! i never was interested in the mute concept but its written good? (but thinking about it all the other mute!reader fics are good but they wont nsfw so it didnt interest me-) furthermore, its so good. so pure. so hot. 11/10 would recommend.

Hometown by French 79: wow. I guess we’re starting off by exposing me and the techno/edm I listen to while studying/working. the lyrics in this song are practically non-existent, which is how I like my study music, but something about it is very soothing, while still being very fast-paced. I heard it/ some other songs on my study playlist described once as “orchestral electronic” and that seems very fitting. a good song, for sure, although I wouldn’t really say it plays a big role in my music taste. 

False Confidence by Noah Kahan: the only noah kahan song that I had heard before actually getting into his music, and still one of my favorites. all of busyhead is honestly so good. I think I said this to bella once, but Noah Kahan has such a woodsy, cabin-in-Vermont vibe, and at the moment, I’m very into that. 

High Highs to Low Lows by  Lolo Zouaï: I really forgot this song existed. My cousin? second-cousin? (idk not much of my family is in the us, so whatever she is to me, we’re close) and I went to see Lolo Zouaï live on of our NYC trips. (Fun fact: this is the only concert I’ve ever been to!) I didn’t know anything about her until like a week before we went, so I listened to a bunch of her music for a week before and after seeing her, and then I forgot about it. It’s honestly pretty good, and her voice is very ethereal-sounding in parts, which is how I like to imagine mine sounds when I sing, so it’s fun trying to sing it. 

Classic by MKTO: if I could pick a song to encompass the feeling of sixth grade, it would be this one. this really isn’t the type of music I’d usually choose to listen to, but I always let it play through when it comes on, for nostalgia purposes. 

Castaway by 5SOS: YESSSSSS. Best song on SGFG, and no, I will not be taking any criticism. I adore Castaway with my entire heart, and even though I listen to it at least once a day on my morning run, I will never get sick of it. 

Teeth by 5SOS: Speaking of getting sick of things... I mean, not really, but I also do not love this song anywhere near as much as I used to back in like March/April. This was one of the first songs by 5SOS that I listened to consistently, and probably THE one that convinced me to get more into their other music, so for that, it holds a special place in my heart, but I overplayed this wayyyy too much. Still good, but I’d prefer to not hear it for a while so I can get back to the place where I would scream-sing my heart out to this. 

Mauja hi Mauja by Mika Singh: the first Bollywood song on the list! My parents actually introduced me to this one when I was like seven years old, and I’ve loved it ever since. It always puts a smile on my face, and it’s really fun to dance around my room to, which is always my main goal when listening to Bollywood. 

Alejandro by Lady Gaga: Where did this even come from, and why do I still remember all the lyrics?

UNSTATUS QUO by Duckwrth: I originally listened to this bc I liked the title and as a pretentious debate nerd who used the phrase “status quo” at least four times a day, it felt like blasphemy not to. This is def my “cool kid in a movie walking down the street” song. It’s more... loud? cacophonous? than the music I usually listen to, but it really, really does make me feel cool. I think if I were to hear it more often than I do, I would probably stop liking it. 

Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens: yeah, I don’t know about this one. I feel like I can only listen to this when I’m already sobbing, so I’m gonna skip it for now. I never actually watched CMBYN, so idk how I even found this song. ALSO fun fact, I found a ten hour loop of this song on youtube once, and listened to the whole thing in one sitting. as I’m sure you can guess, that was not a good day :)

Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys: bitches listen to one arctic monkeys song and think they’re indie, yeah, it’s me. I’m bitches. 

Apocalypse by Cigarettes After Sex: wow, really proving my own point about only listening to very well-known indie music. 

Greek God by Conan Gray: This song just FEELS aesthetic and I don’t quite understand that but I still like it. 

Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood: it’s actually been a minute since I last heard this, but I still like it! I was def more attached to this song about two years ago, so I don’t have much to say about it anymore. 

Summer is a Curse by The Faim: I actually heard this on a German tv show once and LOVED it. I really didn’t have any idea that Ashton was involved until a few months ago and I was like “wait, what??” it’s def a v good song, but I feel uncomfy endorsing/supporting it bc of the sexual misconduct allegations against one of the Faim’s members. Unfortunate, really, but that’s not something I can really get past. 

Bang! by AJR: I’m surprised AJR hasn’t shown up sooner tbh. The “Metronome” line and “pretend you know this song everybody” are CONSTANTLY stuck in my head. If I could choose any concert to go to, it would be either AJR or 5SOS. They actually had a really cool socially-distant drive-in concert yesterday, but it was in Philly, which is a bit too far to drive the week before college starts. 

Formidable by Stromae: <3 the song I was listening to when I made an ao3 account <3 I feel like I know too many people who had a Stromae phase. I don’t even understand French music all that well, but this is a bop. 

Hasta el Amanecer by Nicky Jam: Damn, I just realized that there’s music in four languages on this list now. We stan multilingualism. This is one that I do actually understand most of the lyrics for, so we love that. It was fun listening to this again, bc I really haven’t heard it in at least a year. 

Higher by The Score: The album that this is from came out on my birthday a few years ago! (just realized that there’s no recent music on this list, and if one thing describes my music taste accurately, it’s finding music a few years after it was released/popular). This is back from my soccer-playing days, and it was one of my pump-up songs for bus rides to away games. I think I might put this album back on regular rotation bc this is actually quite good!

No Control by One Direction: what even is there to say? I wasn’t really into 1D while they were actually active (rip me), and this is the song that made me give them a chance (chonce). perfect note to end on.

knk in london recap !! (aka a mess on my part)

i’ll skip over the morning/day part because it was basically just sitting on a cold floor for 7 hours on and off until we got let in but as the queue for the venue was opposite where the stage door was we saw the boys come and go for the special events and they kept waving at us :(

but okay idk how to even write this lol OKAY SO CONCERT this will be long

so idk how the floor looked because i was on the balcony and i will saw the plus of that was 1. no one in my way and 2. got barrier of the balcony because there weren’t many of us who decided to pay the more expensive of the tickets lol but also i was the only one on the balcony who had the lightstick from the makestar campaign and that piece of light up plastic i thank for everything that event because i sob i can’t do emojis on my laptop imagine the crying emoji like 438728 times

but they came out and i just. my friend had to ask me if i was okay because i don’t think i moved for a good bit because i was just like ??????? my boys ?????? are there ????????? the ones who i owe my life and money to ??????? RIGHT THERE ??????????/ i can’t even remember what order the setlist was uh it was a song. i know they done we are the one towards the start because i was a bit thrown off and only started filming it half way through the first chorus because i was just like ????? and i adore that song so much so i’m just so thankful to just hear it live and hear them live and i want to cry

cue more songs i remember when rain started everything had a like collective sob/cry because last youjin song we miss him i miss him but yes rain was amazing every song was amazing but it’s knk that is to be expected. they had more like talky bits and they each like sung/rapped little songs. heejun mentioned how inseong recently was on masked singer and we all screamed inseong got shy but sung the song he sung (i forgot what it is okay) and then it got to seoham and he wanted to sing a very british song and asked us what is a british song. my forced to watch football throughout my youth instantly thought sing vindaloo and turn the entire venue suddenly into an england match but then realised he would not know that buT THEN HE STARTED SINGING HEDWIG’S THEME AKA THE HARRY POTTER THEME SONG and we all just collectively became potterheads for a good 2 minutes it was great. they then sung more songs. someone decided to sing propose then angel heart ??? like i didn’t cry enough anyway then oh at some point during the translator translating stuff she forgot what they said and was just like quickly summing something up and the boys noticed and were like no !!!!! we didn’t say that !!!! it was funny we all laughed but she done well whoever you are translator lady

Types of Christmas music from most to least valid:

GOD TIER NO QUESTIONS ASKED: just look up “Kelly clarkson silent night live” it’s a trio performance with a few of the greatest singers of all time and every time I hear it I SOB!!!!! IM TEARING UP JUST THINKING ABOUT IT ITS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS IVE EVER HEARD

Most valid- jazzy brass band w/ one person singing in between looong music breaks. Makes you feel like you’re at a swanky holiday party

Very valid- the Kelly Clarkson Wrapped In Red album on the whole. No I will not be taking criticism on this getting its own tier. Her voice was just made for this stuff it’s my favorite album of hers full stop.

Solidly Valid- beach boys, lady Gaga’s “white Christmas” version with the added verse, jingle bell rock in general but tbh I like the original version most, every rendition of “last Christmas” ever done more or less(it’s a good song ok!) , the role reversal of “Baby it’s cold outside”, any metal or rock covers, romantic Christmas songs but made gay, songs about Santa driving things other than a sleigh (for example, a convertible)

i’d put Mariah Carey in this tier for the sheer iconic value of her voice, but tbh if it wasn’t so iconic I’d put it in the next tier down for being overplayed.

Kinda valid- non-christmassy Christmas songs by any artist: “frosty the snowman”, “winter wonderland”, any songs that are just like “yay it’s winter it’s snowing lets go frolic in the snow!” Theyre up in this tier for being universally relatable but not any higher cause there aren’t a lot of them and they get kinda boring after a while.

Also the religious songs that are performed by just one person (usually a lady but I’ve seen dudes do it well too) without any super intense background music just absolutely BELTING THE SHIT OUT OF IT like going back to Kelly again like I will be Christian for three minutes listening to her just go ham trying to bust the windows of the recording booth.

This is where I’d also put the other versions of “Baby it’s cold outside”, they’re good but not as good as the role reversal or any of the artists I’ve mentioned above. It’s actually a pretty difficult song to make Fantastic, it requires a very good blend of voices and the right amount of goofy self awareness,

and IMO it’s best done in that old school ‘jazzy’ way, it feels warmer and more authentic with the tempo and singing style. Modernized versions just don’t sound right to me.

Entirely neutral: religious Christmas songs done in the very beautiful classic choir style. That’s it basically if it sounds like I’m back in my high school’s winter dinner-and-a-show fundraiser thing and they’re doing the crazy harmonies and everything, then yeah I like. Good singing is good singing what can I say.

cursed: religious songs recorded in sub-par ways or by sub-par artists. This may be a simply written tier but don’t be fooled this accounts for 75% of the Christmas music out there.

Boy, don't get me wrong, they have really good on-screen and off-screen chemistry, dat shit true, but all I can see is two great friends having the time of their lives. Hell, even I still lean into my ex that way when we're playing guitar and singing by the campfire - and it doesn't mean we have romantic feelings between us involved. (We are best friends now tbh.)

Even I sit next to him and I'm mesmerized by his hands, his words, his face and voice. I just put my head on his shoulders, I close my eyes and there's no place I would rather be. We sing together and we don't look at anyone, but each other. But that DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE LOVE EACH OTHER.

Favourite time of year - Hm..... either the summer holidays, or the Christmas holidays. The summer holidays are longer, and typically more relaxing because there are no impending exams straight after the holidays, but the Christmas holidays have the bonus of, y'know, being cold. I cannot deal with the heat. But I think I'm gonna go with the summer holidays! Plus my birthday falls in them so y'know :'D

Comfort foods - Curry! Homemade curry, specifically. I don't make curry myself and so it's always comforting to come back home from uni to nice homemade curry :') Also hot chocolate!

Do you collect anything? - Yes! I collect rocks :D I like to collect rocks from everywhere I've been - currently I've got this sizeable red round rock from Aberdeenshire sitting on my chest of drawers :D I also collect pocket watches, manga, and merch!

Lovely As You Are by SadLesbianPrincess on AO3 - This is a UsUk fic, and istg it changed my brain chemistry. I cried sO HARD at this fic like you don't understand I was full-on sobbing at multiple points, and I'm not really one for crying!! The story and relationship between Arthur and Alfred is so beautiful, and it's just a really good fic about two fucked-up people finding solace in each other. Please do read it!! 100% mind the tags tho - eating disorders play a significant role in the fic, and there is major character death. I do really recommend it tho!

Discordant Accord by orcelito on AO3 - Shuake this time, and by God this is aMAZING. It's not finished yet, but still read it, because it's 444,666 words currently and still going strong! The writing is impeccable, and one of the things I really do love about this fic is just how they write the love between Goro and Akira. It's definitely one of the best portrayals of love I've ever read imo, the author does such a brilliant job of showing how deeply they love each other, rather than simply telling us so. Anyway yeah it's a soulmate AU and it is gOOD go read it right now

Even the Mountains Crumble by rosegardenlake on AO3 - Shuake again, except this time it's a TLoU retelling but with Shuake romance instead. The writer does an excellent job of making the plot feel new, fresh, and exciting - I'm Pretty Knowledgeable on the story beats of TLoU, but even still I was on the edge of my seat at many points, holding onto that 'Angst with a happy ending' tag like a lifeline! Glittering Scales by smoreo on AO3 - A fun Shuake mermaid AU! It's really sweet, lighthearted, and just a whole ton of fun. Ofc there's some angst, you can't have Goro without angst, but so far it's really cute, and it's really fun reading about mermaid Goro participating in different aspects of human culture, as well as watching his and Akira's relationship and feelings for each other develop and blossom. This fic just warmed my heart tbh and I love it, go give it a read if you want a fun time!

This song....i just like it’s an old school song but it makes me cry every time it’s so good. The tenderness the cry for a lifetime of simple life, it’s so, so so beautiful.
