In addition, some jackets may also include ceramic or metal plates to provide additional protection against high-velocity rounds.
It's important to note that no bulletproof jacket is completely impenetrable, and different jackets may offer varying levels of protection against different types of firearms and ammunition. The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) sets standards for the performance of ballistic-resistant body armor, which manufacturers must meet in order to be certified.
It's also important to ensure that a bulletproof jacket fits properly, as a poorly fitting jacket may not provide adequate protection. It's recommended to consult with a trained professional when selecting and fitting a bulletproof jacket.
Major players operating in the global bullet proof jacket market include Honeywell International, Inc, E.L Dupont DE Nemours & Co., U.S. Armor Corporation, Wenzhou Start Co Ltd., MKU Limited, EnGarde, Infidel Body Armor, Point Blank Enterprises, Inc., MARS Armor, Armourshield Ltd, and others.
Bulletproof jackets, also known as body armor or ballistic vests, are specialized clothing designed to protect the wearer from bullet and shrapnel projectiles. Here are some of the benefits of wearing a bulletproof jacket:
1. Protection from firearms: Bulletproof jackets can protect against firearms, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles. The jacket's material is designed to absorb the energy of the bullet and disperse it over a larger area, reducing the impact on the wearer's body.
2. Increased safety: Bulletproof jackets are particularly useful for individuals working in high-risk jobs such as law enforcement, military personnel, and security guards. Wearing a bulletproof jacket can help reduce the risk of injury or death in dangerous situations.
3. Lightweight and comfortable: Modern bulletproof jackets are made with lightweight materials that provide protection without adding significant weight or discomfort to the wearer.
4. Versatile: Bulletproof jackets can be worn under normal clothing or as a standalone garment. They come in a variety of styles and sizes to fit different body types and protection levels.
5. Durability: Most bulletproof jackets are designed to withstand wear and tear and can last for several years with proper care and maintenance.
6. Affordable: While the cost of a bulletproof jacket varies depending on the level of protection and features, they are generally more affordable than other protective gear such as helmets and gas masks.
Overall, wearing a bulletproof jacket can provide peace of mind and protection in high-risk situations. It is important to note that while bulletproof jackets can reduce the risk of injury or death, they do not provide complete protection and are not a substitute for caution, training, and situational awareness.
The market for bulletproof jackets has grown significantly in recent years, driven by a range of factors including increasing violence and crime rates, rising military and law enforcement spending, and growing awareness of personal safety and security.
Additionally, advances in material technology have made bulletproof jackets lighter, more comfortable, and more affordable, making them more accessible to a wider range of customers. This has led to an increase in demand from civilians, including journalists, private security personnel, and individuals looking to protect themselves and their families.
Geographically, North America is the largest market for bulletproof jackets, followed by Europe and Asia-Pacific. The report also notes that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the market, with supply chain disruptions and reduced government spending on defense and law enforcement affecting demand and growth in some regions.
Overall, the bulletproof jacket market is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, driven by ongoing security concerns and advancements in material technology.

Ikemen Sengoku Mafia!AU (Oda Forces)
In case y’all didn’t know I also write for Otome (both Voltage and Cybird)
—
Oda Nobunaga: the leader
Absolutely a leader of a yakuza- and a good one at that too
(Assuming this takes place in modern day japan) runs one of the biggest Yakuza factions
On the outside though, he’s a very successful heir to a large, multimillion company (think Eisuke Ichinomiya from KBTBB I mean they’re practically the same person cmon)
Due to his seemingly inconspicuous ‘day job’ and charming personality making him very popular to the public eye, no one suspects him of being involved in any organized crime, so he’s able to operate very smoothly under the radar
Of course, he has spies every where- including in the government and police force so his tracks are very covered
Aims to take political power at some point and have his faction be the dominant faction (eliminating all possible rivals)
His biggest one being his enemy Kenshin Uesugi’s faction, who takes any and every opportunity they can to get under his nerves constantly lmao
Nobunaga and Kenshin have never seen each other face to face (if they did it’d be a blood bath), but still have an unspoken respect for each other as much as they hate each other lmao
The rivalry between their two families has lasted generations- now that it’s their turn, Nobunaga is determined to end it with the last laugh
Nobunaga’s still the same arrogant, cocky bastard he is, but 100x worse (as with modern technology)
Grew up with a very traditional family who were samurais in the past, so he’s had a lot of training in swordsmanship and martial arts
Always keeps a pistol in his jacket pocket and wears a bulletproof vest 90% of the time
(He’s not that good with guns tho)
On his desk there’s probably a little plateful of candies, and his fridge is also stocked with sweet things (it’s a wonder how he doesn’t have diabetes yet)
Also has a pocketful of tiny candies to last him throughout the day (much to Hideyoshi’s dismay)
Also, slicked back hair, suited up Nobunaga with a sleeve tattoo (he’d have to try really hard to keep his sleeve tattoo hidden but still just imagine)
Hideyoshi Toyotomi: the bodyguard
Hideyoshi is Nobunaga’s most trusted confidant, who also serves as his bodyguard
Wherever Nobunaga goes, Hideyoshi follows suit
More often than not the voice of reason
Always trusts his gut and is always skeptical of new members (or just people in general why won’t you trust me dammit)
He came from a poor family of farmers in the countryside, and when they couldn’t take care of him anymore they abandoned him
He was a thief for a little while, until Nobunaga’s dad took him in and raised him as his own
Hideyoshi deems this a debt he has to pay, and him helping Nobunaga and keeping him straight will repay the family’s kindness
He’s always the one to direct less major missions and cleans up the messes
Frequently in contact with Mistuhide, and he hates the guy (more like annoyed tbh)
He’s basically Nobunaga’s messenger lmao
And mother older brother figure, he frequently stops Nobunaga from rampaging over something insignificant and keeps him from being unhealthy by taking away his candies sometimes
Is better skilled with a gun, and thus carries not one, but two (those like shoulder straps for guns under his suit type of thing)
He goes undercover from time to time, although it’s not his specialty- he’s kind of a jack of all trades kinda guy
He’s really good at sussing out the spies and traitors, because he listens to his gut and it’s almost always right
Will do anything and everything to help Nobunaga succeed, even if it means killing anyone who stands in the way
Date Masamune: the affiliate
Masamune is actually the leader of another yakuza faction, but since it was so weak at the time he took the opportunity to pair up with Nobunaga
His faction deals more with drugs and weapons, smuggling them over borders and getting them out and in of the country
That being said, most of his deals take place at exclusive bars and clubs- where the richest of the rich gather
He’s a pretty laid-back guy for someone who runs a drug syndicate- he doesn’t really care how things get done as long as they get done somehow
Also pretty goofy- when people first meet him, they’d think that there was no way he was in the yakuza
Even though the sleeve tattoos and the eyepatch probably should’ve been enough for them to know
And the massive amount of jewelry, too- Masamune isn’t shy about his wealth like at all
He’s totally the type to wear those bigass rings, complete with sapphires on them just to show off a little more
He loves to piss off Nobunaga, he loves for it
Ieyasu tells him that it might get him killed (low key a worried bb) but Masamune knows Nobunaga isn’t gonna get rid of him anytime soon; due to the fact that Masamune’s faction gives a shit ton of money
Him and Ieyasu tolerate get along pretty well, although the latter may deny it
Out of all of them, he’s probably the strongest and most skilled combat-wise; he’s adept in martial arts, knives and blades, as well as having an extensive knowledge on firearms and even bombs and how to use them
Honestly, he’s with Nobunaga just for the power boost- ones his faction gets enough power, he’s gonna dip then come back and be like ‘sike u thought’
Masamune has the same aspiration as both Nobunaga and Kenshin, but knows he can’t fight them both at the same time. So why not let the two battle it out then fight the winner?
Akechi Mistuhide: the spy
Aka the rat
Mistuhide is a double agent working for Nobunaga, on his own terms
He’s a spy within the government’s police force, and nobody has caught him yet
Tells Nobunaga about any upcoming busts and when and where they’re gonna go, who they’re going to investigate and go after, basically all information on cases that may affect him
Very good at hiding his tracks- it’s almost impossible to get this guy
Also very good at swaying his coworkers and even bosses- tells them whether or not to pursue a case or person, acknowledge evidence, and even do something for him
He started out as an assassin for hire before becoming an informant for Nobunaga, which is the foundation for the distrust Hideyoshi has on him
Coupled with the fact that he’s easily a manipulative and cunning bastard, you’ve got someone who is a valuable asset but you can’t help but wonder when he’ll turn his back on you
He’s actually the son of a very rich man who had many wives and concubines; growing up, his father’s other wives would try to kill him using any tactic they could, so he developed quickly some skills that children shouldn’t have learned
He knows when food and drinks are poisoned, when someone is trying to ambush you, and when someone is lying- and this was before any formal training for an assassin
Because of his talent with blades and smaller guns, he’s the one Nobunaga sends out most of the time to kill someone and make it seem like an accident
Teams up with Masamune to annoy Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu (sometimes)
He once went undercover with Hideyoshi- the teasing was unfiltered and hard. Hideyoshi kept yelling at him to please stop, we have a fuckinh mission to do and you making me flustered will not make this any less difficult.
He honestly just lives to see people annoyed/embarrassed lmao
Used to tease Ieyasu a lot before Masamune came and essentially replaced him
Mitsuhide’s reasons for joining Nobunaga’s faction still remains a mystery, and he’d like to keep it that way
Tokugawa Ieyasu: the doctor
Why is there no yellow
The underground doctor who works for Nobunaga, Ieyasu has plenty of knowledge and experience despite his young age
At first, you’d think he isn’t a doctor at all- he‘s rough, not exactly friendly, and easily irritated; which is exactly what makes him so good at his job
As an underground doctor, Ieyasu’s primary job is to salvage whatever unfortunate soul had been injured at the time- sometimes, it’d be much, much more than one person
He can’t afford to let his emotions get to him and slow him down, so he’s learned to repress his emotions and completely focus on his job instead
Also, he can’t be like a traditional doctor because he’s dealing with criminals here- and with his pretty face, not everyone’s gonna take him seriously if he offers the usual caring doctor attitude
Ieyasu grew up in a wealthy family before being kidnapped and sold in the black market as a child, abused within the system and eventually ended up in an old doctor’s hands
The old doctor would basically take him on as an apprentice and told him all his medical knowledge, urging him to follow in his footsteps before he died
When the doctor did die, Ieyasu continued his medical studies and attended several schools and universities before going off the grid completely
Years later he was found in a back alley market (think the black market from beastars) by non other than Nobunaga, who he saved from some thugs (or at least tried to)
Because of his work as a doctor, he often forgets to really take a rest and goes days without sleeping and living off spicy ramen noodles
It’s gotten so bad at one point that Masamune (who buys the noodles for him regularly) actually confiscated all of them and demanded Ieyasu be given a day off (he can’t have tease him if he’s dead!)
Speaking of Masamune, they met after the ‘eyepatch wearing idiot’ came into his clinic after a particularly grueling gun fight with the police
He’s kind of thankful for Masamune- Ieyasu would still have to deal with Mitsuhide and that guy gets on his nerves the quickest, if Masamune didn’t take his spot lmao
He has a little pet porcupine at home, and he sometimes sticks him in the chest pocket of his doctor’s coat whenever he knows he’s gonna spend days at his clinic
Don’t let his pretty looks fool you; mans learned many combat skills from Masamune including how to absolutely murder people with guns
Ishida Mitsunari: the hacker
From how sweet and kind he looks he definitely does not look like part of the Yakuza
Like, he looks like he belongs in a classroom teaching kids, not in a computer room hacking government files
Extremely skilled hacker- he can get any information from anywhere and leave no trace
Is the main source of information for Nobunaga
Mitsunari was the son of a college professor, and spent most of his time reading in the school library when his father took him to his lectures
Pretty soon he found himself loving computers and tinkering with them, eventually leading to him hacking some minor websites
Fat forward a couple of years and his curious nature doesn’t stop, leading to him discovering some secret files/tapes of Nobunaga’s faction
He left a clear enough trace that he was easily tracked down and almost killed; however, Nobunaga saw some potential in him and decided to give him a choice between dying or joining them (not much of a choice there buddy)
He joined in his late teens, so he’s never really experienced what life was like (thanks Nobunaga)
Nonetheless, he’s actually pretty terrifying when he’s angry
With his demeanor, you’d think he wouldn’t have a mean bone in his body- wrong
Being in the yakuza at a young age, he’s seen some shit and learned some shit- and he’s even tried some of them
Many people have spited him, thinking he’s a doormat
Mitsunari does not let that fly
People underestimate how much he can ruin their lives through the computer screen- financial ruin, a hard hit to reputations, etc
He rarely if ever does that though, most of the time he’d just brush it off and continue what he’s doing (unless it escalates then you’re fucked lmao Mitsudarki come thru)
Mitsunari’s really good with kids, so often times the higher ups or other members leave their kids or pets with him because even if he is booked for work, he still takes stellar care of them
Gets teased by Mitsuhide often, but doesn’t get what he’s saying most of the time
Is heavily opposed to killing- he’d much rather talk it through with someone or ruin their life rather than taking it
—
Uggghhhhh this took so long but I love these little shits so it was worth it 😤😤 they’re so pretty wth-

America’s Biggest Companies (Fortune) Fortune magazine released its annual ranking of America’s largest companies, with Walmart topping the list for the ninth straight year. Boosted by the pandemic-driven consumer shift to online and bulk purchasing, the retail behemoth brought in nearly $560B in revenue. The company was followed by Amazon ($386B in revenue), Apple ($275B), CVS Health ($269B), and UnitedHealth Group ($257B). The combined list generated almost $14T in revenue last year—about two-thirds of the US economy.
Drought ravages California’s reservoirs ahead of hot summer (AP) Each year Lake Oroville helps water a quarter of the nation’s crops, sustain endangered salmon beneath its massive earthen dam and anchor the tourism economy of a Northern California county that must rebuild seemingly every year after unrelenting wildfires. But now the mighty lake—a linchpin in a system of aqueducts and reservoirs in the arid U.S. West that makes California possible—is shrinking with surprising speed amid a severe drought, with state officials predicting it will reach a record low later this summer. While droughts are common in California, this year’s is much hotter and drier than others, evaporating water more quickly from the reservoirs and the sparse Sierra Nevada snowpack that feeds them. The state’s more than 1,500 reservoirs are 50% lower than they should be this time of year, according to Jay Lund, co-director of the Center for Watershed Sciences at the University of California-Davis. If Lake Oroville falls below 640 feet (195 meters)—which it could do by late August—state officials would shut down a major power plant for just the second time ever because of low water levels, straining the electrical grid during the peak demand of the hottest part of the summer.
Miami Faces the Hard Choices of Climate Change (NYT) Three years ago, not long after Hurricane Irma left parts of Miami underwater, the federal government embarked on a study to find a way to protect the vulnerable South Florida coast from deadly and destructive storm surge. Already, no one likes the answer. Build a wall, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposed in its first draft of the study, now under review. Six miles of it, in fact, mostly inland, running parallel to the coast through neighborhoods—except for a one-mile stretch right on Biscayne Bay, past the gleaming sky-rises of Brickell, the city’s financial district. The dramatic $6 billion proposal remains tentative and at least five years off. But the startling suggestion of a massive sea wall up to 20 feet high cutting across beautiful Biscayne Bay was enough to jolt some Miamians to attention: The hard choices that will be necessary to deal with the city’s many environmental challenges are here, and few people want to face them. The trouble is that the magnitude of the interconnected obstacles the region faces can feel overwhelming, and none of the possible solutions are cheap, easy or pretty.
A deadly vote (Washington Post) TAXCO, Mexico—Mario Figueroa sat in his armored SUV, surrounded by bodyguards clutching semiautomatic rifles. The bulletproof vest was stashed behind the back seat. These days, Figueroa rarely travels without his security team. As a candidate for mayor of this Spanish colonial city—once popular with American tourists, now lashed by drug violence—the 53-year-old businessman has already taken a bullet in the chest. Mexico is in the final days of one of its most violent electoral campaigns in modern times. Eighty-nine politicians have been killed since September, according to the security consulting firm Etellekt. Scores more have been wounded or threatened. The campaign has become a stark illustration of crime organizations’ quest to expand their control of Mexico’s territory. The violence has focused largely on races for mayor and other local government posts. “They want control of the police, control of public works projects, the budget, and illicit activities,” said Marcial Rodríguez Saldaña, the state leader of Morena, the party of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. “We’ve reached an extreme,” Figueroa said.
US troops storm sunflower oil factory in Bulgaria (Foreign Policy) The owner of a sunflower oil factory in Bulgaria has taken legal action after U.S. soldiers accidentally stormed his business during a NATO training exercise. The mix-up occurred while soldiers were simulating the clearing of an airfield in southern Bulgaria, and continued on to Marin Dimitrov’s factory, where workers watched on as gun-wielding soldiers stalked through the premises. The incident has led to a rebuke from the highest levels with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev calling it “absolutely unacceptable.” “We always learn from these exercises and are fully investigating the cause of this mistake,” the U.S. embassy in Sofia said in a statement.
Beijing Introduces Three-Child Policy (Foreign Policy) On Monday, China announced that married couples would be allowed to have up to three children, raising the official two-child limit in a widely anticipated move. Despite government hopes, the introduction of the two-child policy in 2016 failed to produce a baby boom. It’s unlikely the latest policy change will affect China’s fertility rate, either. The public has responded with mocking contempt toward the idea that government restraints have held parents back from having more children, rather than the exorbitant costs of child rearing in China—from migrant families forced to pay fees for local public schools to upper-class parents who fear their children will fall behind without flute or calligraphy lessons. So why keep a limit on the number of children a couple can have at all? One reason is to provide cover for the ongoing forced sterilization of the Uyghur minority in Xinjiang, whose birthrate fell by nearly 50 percent between 2017 and 2020. Another is that China now has an enormous family planning bureaucracy that supports many jobs. Party leaders may also be concerned that the rich flaunting large families—such as late Macao casino tycoon Stanley Ho, known for his four wives and 17 children—would spark resentment.
Lebanese leaders exchange barbs as country sinks into crisis (AP) Lebanon’s president and prime minister-designate traded barbs Wednesday, accusing one another of obstruction, negligence and insolence in a war or words that has for months obstructed the formation of a new government as the country sinks deeper into economic and financial crisis. The power struggle between the premier-designate, Saad Hariri, on one side and President Michel Aoun and his son-in-law Gebran Bassil on the other, has worsened despite warnings from world leaders and economic experts of the dire economic conditions tiny Lebanon is facing. The World Bank on Tuesday said Lebanon’s crisis is one of the worst the world has seen in the past 150 years. In a late night burst of anger, protesters blocked main roads in Beirut and north of the capital. A young activist told a local TV station the protest was against the constant humiliation of Lebanese who line up to fill their cars with fuel, increasing power cuts, search for medicine and deal with confused banking decisions that are robbing thousands of their savings. The Lebanese pound, pegged to the dollar for 30 years at 1,507, has been in a free fall since late 2019. It is now trading at nearly 13,000 to the dollar at the black market.
Netanyahu opponents reach coalition deal to oust Israeli PM (AP) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s opponents announced Wednesday that they have reached a deal to form a new governing coalition, paving the way for the ouster of the longtime Israeli leader. The dramatic announcement by opposition leader Yair Lapid and his main coalition partner, Naftali Bennett, came shortly before a midnight deadline and prevented what could have been Israel’s fifth consecutive election in just over two years. The agreement still needs to be approved by the Knesset, or parliament, in a vote that is expected to take place early next week. If it goes through, Lapid and a diverse array of partners that span the Israeli political spectrum will end Netanyahu’s record-setting but divisive 12-year rule. Netanyahu, desperate to remain in office while he fights corruption charges, is expected to do everything possible in the coming days to prevent the new coalition from taking power. If he fails, he will be pushed into the opposition. (Foreign Policy) While a new government is not yet set in stone, normal business carries on: Benny Gantz arrives in Washington today to request $1 billion in emergency military aid in order to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome defenses and help restock its bomb supply following the bombardment of Gaza. “I would imagine that the administration would say yes to this request and it will sail through Congress,” Senator Lindsey Graham said on Tuesday.
In Syria camp, forgotten children are molded by IS ideology (AP) At the sprawling al-Hol camp in northeast Syria, children pass their days roaming the dirt roads, playing with mock swords and black banners in imitation of Islamic State group militants. Few can read or write. For some, the only education is from mothers giving them IS propaganda. It has been more than two years since the Islamic State group’s self-declared “caliphate” was brought down. And it has been more than two years that some 27,000 children have been left to languish in al-Hol camp, which houses families of IS members. Most of them not yet teenagers, they are spending their childhood in a limbo of miserable conditions with no schools, no place to play or develop, and seemingly no international interest in resolving their situation. Only one institution is left to mold them: remnants of the Islamic State group. Kurdish authorities and aid groups fear the camp will create a new generation of militants. They are pleading with home countries to take the women and children back. The problem is that home governments often see the children as posing a danger rather than as needing rescue.
‘Come On In, Boys’: A Wave of the Hand Sets Off Spain-Morocco Migrant Fight (NYT) Daouda Faye, a 25-year-old migrant from Senegal, was elated when he heard that Moroccan border guards had suddenly started waving in undocumented migrants across the border to Ceuta, a fenced-off Spanish enclave on the North African coast. “‘Come on in, boys,’” the guards told him and others as they reached the border on May 17, Mr. Faye said. Normally, Morocco tightly controls the fenced borders around Ceuta, a six-mile-long peninsula on Morocco’s northern coast that Spain has governed since the 1600s. But now its military was allowing migrants into this toehold of Europe. Over the next two days, as many as 12,000 people flowed over the border to Ceuta in hopes of reaching mainland Spain, engulfing the city of 80,000. The crisis has laid bare the unique pressure point Morocco has over Spain on migration. Spanish government officials and other experts say Morocco increasingly sees the migrants as a kind of currency and is leveraging its control over them to extract financial and political prizes from Spain. Hours after the migrants began pouring into Ceuta, Spain approved 30 million euros, about $37 million, in aid to Morocco for border policing.
A Military Drone With A Mind Of Its Own Was Used In Combat, U.N. Says (NPR) Military-grade autonomous drones can fly themselves to a specific location, pick their own targets and kill without the assistance of a remote human operator. Such weapons are known to be in development, but until recently there were no reported cases of autonomous drones killing fighters on the battlefield. Now, a United Nations report about a March 2020 skirmish in the military conflict in Libya says such a drone, known as a lethal autonomous weapons system—or LAWS—has made its wartime debut. But the report does not say explicitly that the LAWS killed anyone. The assault came during fighting between the U.N.-recognized Government of National Accord and forces aligned with Gen. Khalifa Haftar, according to the report by the U.N. Panel of Experts on Libya. “Logistics convoys and retreating [Haftar-affiliated forces] were subsequently hunted down and remotely engaged by the unmanned combat aerial vehicles or the lethal autonomous weapons systems such as the STM Kargu-2 ... and other loitering munitions,” the panel wrote. The Kargu-2 is an attack drone made by the Turkish company STM that can be operated both autonomously and manually and that purports to use “machine learning” and “real-time image processing” against its targets.

The coronavirus incident has caused colossal loss to several industries across the globe. The governments of several countries have instigated lockdown to thwart the spread of this deadly virus. Such plans have caused disturbances in the production and supply chain. But, with time and resolution, we will be able to combat this stern time and get back to normality. Our well-revised reports will help companies to receive in-depth information about the present scenario of every market so that you can adopt the necessary strategies accordingly.
The report on the bulletproof vest market features:
Wide-ranging analysis of the market
Crucial facts about prominent players
Main regions in the market
Key drivers and trends
Significant developmen
Market Driver:
Increasing Military Expenditure to Augment Growth
The increasing terrorist activities, geopolitical tensions, and cross border conflicts around the world can have an excellent impact on the market during the forecast period. The rising military spending will spur opportunities for the market in the forthcoming years. According to SIPRI, the United States, China, India, Russia, and Saudi Arabia's defense budget was USD 732 billion, USD 261 billion, USD 71.1 billion, USD 65.1 billion, and USD 61.9 billion, respectively. Furthermore, the expansion of military forces in developing nations will have a tremendous impact on the demand for bulletproof vests. For instance, in 2020, the number of active military personnel in China, India, the U.S., and North Korea were 21,83,000, 14,44,000, 14,00,000, and 12,80,000, respectively. Hence, the increasing number of army personnel can contribute positively to the bulletproof vest market growth.
Delayed Deliveries of Products to Hamper Business amid Coronavirus
COVID-19 pandemic had a severe impact on the global market. The reduced demand and delayed deliveries of products have dramatically affected the scenario of the industry. The postponement in the production of defense products is expected to retard the development of the market. For instance, the department of Indian Military Affairs asked all of its armed forces to hold their capital acquisitions because of budget cuts due to the effect of COVID-19. Moreover, South Korea planned to cut USD 245 million from the country’s defense budget. Hence, declined defense budget and halt on production activities will hinder the market amid coronavirus.
Regional Analysis:
Growing Terrorism to Stimulate Growth in Asia Pacific
The market in Asia-Pacific is expected to hold the largest bulletproof vest market share during the forecast period owing to political conflicts and cross-border issues. The growing terrorism in the Asian countries and increasing investments in next-generation body armors will aid growth in the region. For instance, in 2018, the Indian Army signed a worth of USD 98.31 million with SMPP Private Limited to procure 1,38,138 bulletproof jackets. Europe is expected to account for the largest share due to the presence of key players such as EnGarde Body Armor, VestGuard UK Ltd., MARS Armor, and others. The increasing spending by military forces and law enforcement agencies will contribute significantly to the market's growth. For instance, in 2018, Rheinmetall AG signed a three-year contract worth USD 11 million with the German police to supply ballistic inserts for protective vests.
Key Development:
April 2020: planarTECH, a global leader in providing process and analytical equipment based in the UK, signed a contract with IDEATI, a Thailand based company for distributing its 2AM line of graphene-enhanced bullet-proof vest and ballistic plate products for body armor.

Drusilla's Soul Chapter 9
Flashback Los Angeles 1997
That night the city was lively. The woman was walking on a street walk, wearing old tattered clothes, she was dirty. Drusilla was homeless. She had lost her job and her home a few months ago. Then she became a beggar. Those kind people gave her money. She entered the meat market and ordered blood sausage and a half-pint of pig blood. She paid the cashier and exited the meat market. She went to the alley and started cooking a blood sausage with a hobo stove. She began to eat her food. After she ate her dinner, she went to her dirty, old mattress on the ground and began to drift to sleep. Drusilla heard something. Sounds like someone was crying and begging them to leave him alone. She hid and witnessed two men threatening this poor, old man.
“Please leave me alone. I don’t have anything on me.” said the old man.
The thug punched him right in the face. “Shut up! We don’t want anything from you.”
“Heh, this old coot is so defenseless. How delicious would that be, an old man with eyes as wet and deep as crimson ichor.” The second thug caught the old man’s throat and held him up against the wall, he held up a pocket knife to his face as he whimpered. Dru gasped in horror as he was about to get killed.
The thug chuckled, “Well, I guess it’s time to feast.”
“Hey, leave him alone!” Dru stepped in to save the old man’s life from those attackers.
“Eh? Who are you?” sneered the thug that she interrupted their dinner.
“It’s none of your business. Now let him go, or I’ll start a fight.” demanded Drusilla.
“This chick wants to fight,” he whispered to his friend. “She thinks she’s tough.”
The thug grunted in agreement. He released the old man’s throat as he scrambled away.
“All right, toot, if that’s what you want. But you defy interrupting our dinner. It’s one against two. We’ll beat you once and for all.” said the thug.
Drusilla smirked, “With pleasure.” Then she charged two thugs preparing to attack, she uppercut under his chin and kicked him in the stomach and sent him flying to the brick wall. The other thug tried to punch her, but she dodged his every strike then kicked him to the face as he landed on the ground.
“Heh. Serve them right. That’ll teach ‘em a lesson.” Drusilla thought.
Drusilla walked to the old man and asked him if he was okay.
“You all right?” she asked him as the old man’s eyes widened with terror.
“It’s okay. I won’t hurt you.” She said.
“No. Look out!” he cried as Dru turned around something smacked her head and fell to the ground. She raised her head a bit, her visions were blurry as she adjusted her visions, and when her visions were clear that the thug carried a crowbar. She could see those fangs. The thug was a vampire! But he didn’t have any ridge nor yellow eyes, just sharp fangs.
“Go! Get out of here!” Dru shouted to the old man to tell him to get away from this dangerous place. And he ran as fast as he could.
Drusilla stood up and changed her vampiric visage with ridge marred her eyebrows, blazing yellow eyes, and sharp fangs.
“You’re both different. What kind of vampires are you? You don’t have a ridge nor do you have yellow eyes but you have fangs.” said Drusilla.
“We are Hominus Nocturna. And we don’t have twisted faces like you vampires.” The vampire charged at her, when the shuriken flew past through mid stop the attack.
Drusilla heard a rev of a motorcycle approaching the alley. There was a black man riding a motorcycle. He halted and got off his motorcycle. He wore a leather trench coat, bulletproof vest, gloves, cargo pants, combat boots, a utility belt, and sunglasses. He also bears various straps intended for the carrying of those stakes that are so essential to killing any vampire.
His hairstyle was a high fade with tribal tattoos partially side of back of his head extending down to the neck and shoulders.
“Who is this guy?” Drusilla thought.
“Shit, it’s him.” the thug said. “It’s the Daywalker!”
Drusilla glanced at the thug as he was talking about. “Daywalker?” Drusilla thought.
The first vampire charged at the man with the black leather who saw him coming toward him, as he tried to punch him, however, the daywalker caught his fist with a great reflex and kicked him in the rib. And he throws the first guy against the brick wall. The second vampire charged at him with a crowbar. The man in the black clad drew his sword and clashed with each other, then he roundhouse kicked to the vampire’s gut flying back to the trash bin.
Dru stayed hidden as she watched them fight. She was astounded.
The vampire tried to punch him, but he ducked his blow and stabbed him with a silver stake. His body began to charred with flame and burned to ashes.
“Holy crap!” thought Drusilla.
The second vampire charged at with rage on his face as he began to strike. He dodged his blow and counterattacked the vampire. And he stabbed to the heart with a silver stake as his body began to smoulder.
Drusilla stood up with a shocked and astounded on her face.
“Who is this man? He’s amazing!” Drusilla thought as she approached him slowly.
The Daywalker turned his head to see the woman approaching him and pulled out his gun and pointed at her. But Drusilla then quickly raised hands in defensively.
“Whoa, wait, wait, wait! I’m not the enemy. I’m not even one of them.” Drusilla said as she was telling him the truth.
The man looked at the woman wearing a blue wool cloak, old fashioned gray dress, and tan boots. She even got a vampiric face with blazing yellow eyes, ridge to her eyebrows and sharp fang.
"You’re not one of them? Who are you?” he asked.
“Drusilla. What I saw you killed those vampires. You were amazing.” said Drusilla.
"Heh. I've never heard that name. The name is Blade.” said Blade.
“Blade, eh? That’s an unusual name.” said Drusilla.
Blade put his gun away to his holster.
“You’re different from a vampire. What are you?” he asked.
“I can’t tell you what I am, but Angelus made me insane before I turned into a vampire. And I was cursed by a gypsy to have a soul. I held the grudge for everything I had done. I don’t want to kill people anymore. I want to help the helpless.” said Drusilla, reverted back to her human face.
“You have a soul?” asked Blade.
“Yes. I saved the old man’s life and you were amazing back there,” she said. “I can tell you learned martial arts and weapons. Are you a Vampire Slayer?”
“Yeah. I’m hunting these vampires down and find out who killed my mother.” said Blade.
“Wait, your mother? Was your mother a human? Does that mean you’re a dhampir?” asked Drusilla.
Blade glared at her which Drusilla flinched.
“Uh, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have asked that.” said Drusilla, sadly.
“No. I’m the one who's sorry.” said Blade.
Blade mounted on his motorcycle and started an engine.
“You should go home.”said Blade.
“Wait, I’m coming with you.” Drusilla said, mounted on Blade’s motorcycle he grew. “I don’t have a home because I lost my job. So… Will you train me? I promise I won’t slow you down.”
“Alright. I’ll take you to Whistler. He’ll help you train.” said Blade.
And they began to leave the alley and headed to Whistler’s hideout.
Drusilla’s voiceover: This is when I met Blade. He taught me how to fight, he started to train me to hunt vampires. And he told me to use a serum twice a week to control my thirst for blood, I needed it.
I am a vampire with a soul and I will help the helpless.

TAFAKKUR: Part 126
Spider Silks: Part 2
Analysis of silk
The silk itself is a material identified as a “scleroprotein.” When created in the glands it is a fluid; only when dragged outside the body does it solidify into thread. Once it was believed that contact with air produced the toughening, but it currently looks that the drawing-out activity alone is accountable for the change.
To carry out the exertion done by the glands, a spider is armed with spinnerets, usually six in number. These are as accommodating as fingers; they can be prolonged, compacted, and overall be applied like human hands. In the “spinning field,” where the spinnerets are congregated, single threads are joined into numerous compound threads, and some of the dehydrated threads may be covered with a gluey substance. Thus, a completed thread may be thin or thick, dry or sticky. It may also have the look of a bead-trimmed necklace. For the last kind, the spider spins rather unhurriedly and, drawing out the gluey thread, lets it go with a jolt. The liquid thus is organized in beads spread out lengthwise across the completed line.
The strand known as the dragline may be understood as a spider's “life line” because it performs as a lifeguard in all kinds of situations. The dragline goes along with the spider, no matter where or how far it journeys, winding out from spinnerets at the back of the body. It forms a portion of the building of webs, it grips its tiny builder firmly in problematic places, and it helps in absconding from adversaries. When a spider is inactive in a web, the dragline enables a rapid descent and escape. It allows energetic chasing spiders to jump from buildings, cliffs, or any tall position with absolute security.
Benefits of spider silk to us
The silk of the silkworm could be very profitable and marketable. There are, however, challenges. One is the changing thickness of a spider’s strand; the other is that it doesn’t well endure the interweaving process. Housing and feeding large numbers of silkworms is not difficult. But housing and feeding large numbers of spiders? There are enormous difficulties.
Native inhabitants of New Guinea have used spider silk in a variety of conditions. They make fishing nets, traps, and such objects as bags, headdresses that will keep away rain, and caps. These are not formed from single threads but from tangled, warped threads. The aboriginals of North Queensland, Australia, look to spiders for their angling supplies.
Spider silk has been valuable to the manufacturers of such complex instruments as astronomical telescopes, guns, and engineers’ levels. The threads, being exceedingly fine but nonetheless robust, are outstanding for sighting marks. Throughout the Second World War, there was a significant demand for spider thread for surveying and laboratory instruments. Black widow spiders were utilized for the manufacture of this silk.
One drawback to the use of spider silk in industry is that it might slump in a moist environment. To overcome this problem, strands of platinum or etching on glass plates take its place in such instruments as periscopes and bombsights.
Spider’s silk also might have healing properties. Due to its antibacterial properties and because the silk is abundant in vitamin K, it may be efficient at clotting blood. Because of the problems in obtaining and handling extensive amounts of spider silk, the largest known piece of cloth made of spider silk is an 11 by 4-foot (3.4 by 1.2 m) fabric made in Madagascar in 2009. Eighty-two persons labored for a period of four years to gather over one million golden orb spiders and extract silk from them.
Applications of spider silk
As mentioned, human beings have been using spider silk for thousands of years.
The manufacture of contemporary synthetic super-fibers such as Kevlar (bulletproof material) includes petrochemicals, which adds to pollution. Kevlar is also strained from concentrated sulphuric acid. In comparison, the manufacture of spider silk is totally ecologically sustainable. It is created by spiders at ambient temperature and pressure and is strained from water. Furthermore, silk is totally biodegradable. If the manufacture of spider silk ever becomes industrially practical, it could be a substitute for Kevlar and be used to create a varied extent of articles such as: bulletproof vests, wear-resistant lightweight clothing, ropes, nets, seat belts, parachutes, rust-free boards on motor vehicles or boats, biodegradable bottles, bandages, surgical thread, artificial tendons or ligaments, and backings for weak blood vessels.
Synthetic spider silk
Duplicating the multifaceted settings needed to make threads that are similar to spider silk has been difficult to both research and manufacture. Through genetic engineering, Escherichia coli bacteria, yeasts, plants, silkworms, and animals have been utilized to produce spider silk proteins. Yet, these synthetic threads have diverse, simpler features than those of a spider. Manmade spider silks have lesser and unsophisticated proteins than natural dragline silk, and have subsequently half the diameter, strength, and flexibility.
One tactic is to remove the spider silk gene and utilize additional life forms to generate the spider silk. Canadian biotechnology company Nexia effectively produced spider silk protein in transgenic goats that passed the gene for it; the milk made by the goats comprised noteworthy amounts of the protein: 1-2 grams of silk proteins per liter of milk. To make spider silk, Nexia utilized damp whirling and pressed the silk protein across minor extrusion cavities in order to mimic the performance of the spinneret, but this process was not adequate to duplicate the sturdier characteristics of innate spider silk.
In March 2010, investigators from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology was able to produce spider silk by means of the bacteria E. coli, altered with definite genes of the spider Nephila clavipes. This tactic removes the necessity of milking spiders.
It should be noted that the manufacture of spider silk is not easy and there are intrinsic difficulties. First of all, spiders cannot be cultivated like silkworms since they are flesh-eaters and will merely eat each other if in proximity to each other. The silk produced is very slight, so 400 spiders would be required to make only one square yard of cloth. The other problem is, silk also toughens when subjected to air, which makes working with it problematic.
A different tactic is to study how spiders whirl silk and then replicate this process to make artificial spider silk. The silk itself would also have to be synthetically produced. Chemical production of spider silk is not feasible at present due to the absence of information about the makeup of silk. Randolph V. Lewis, Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, has introduced silk genes into Escherichia coli bacteria so that the recurring sections of spidroin 1 and spidroin 2 efficaciously come to form. Others theorize about the likely gene introduction into fungi and soya plants. It may also be possible to modify the silk genes for precise intentions.
Why a spider’s house is the frailest of houses
Spider silk is stronger than steel, but the Qur’an (29:41) states that the flimsiest of houses is the spider’s house. The per unit weight of the dragline silk of the golden orb spider is one of the world’s hardest fibers. Webs are combinations of many kinds of spider silk, all able to be produced by the same spider. The web radials are strong, but the somewhat feebler circumferential (quasi-circular concentric) fibers are flexible and gluey to absorb the energy of a flying insect and hold it in place. The strongest of all is the fiber, which the spider uses for transport, the dragline silk. In summary, the spider fabricates both sturdy as well as feeble fibers and the web it weaves to catch flying insects is weaker; this may be the reason why it is referred to in the Qur’an as the “frailest” of houses.
Conclusions
Scientists are foreseeing many potential uses for biosilk. Textile usages are noticeable one. The flexibility and potency of prevailing merchandises such as spandex and nylon have to be improved. Since it is lightweight, hardy and flexible, biosilk may also have uses in satellites and aircraft. More prominently, the new group of progressive things that spider silk investigation may cause has the prospective to alter our lives in innumerable manners that we can barely imagine. More than 72 years have passed since the inventions of Wallace and Carothers that gave the world nylon that led us into the age of polymers. Artificial spider silk may help produce super-performing clothes of the future. Earthquake resistant suspension bridges hung from cables of synthetic spider silk fibers may someday be a reality.

Bulletproof Vest Market: Analysis of Impact, Growth, Opportunities and Challenges (2018-2023)
In 2016, the bulletproof vest market accounted for USD XX million and is expected to reach USD XX million by 2022, registering a CAGR of 7.46%, during 2017-2022 (the forecast period).
A bulletproof vest is an important tool for all armed forces and law enforcement personnel. In countries like the Netherlands, and Canada, purchase of bulletproof armor is permissible for civilians as well. As the rate of violence rises, more states will eventually make it legal for civilians to own bulletproof armor, thus, accelerating the market for such products. The armed forces and law enforcement use all types of vests, however, civilians can only buy soft vests that are level III rated; moreover, anything above this rating will require armor plate.
The Factors Driving the Bulletproof Market Include:
· Advancement of material innovation
· Regular up-gradation of bulletproof vest
· Increasing defense budget
· Technological Updates of the Market
Request a brochure to see how Orbis Research’s solutions can help you
With the latest breakthrough in the technology of making bulletproofs vests safer, the vests are being manufactured with composite metal foams that can stop even a disintegrating bullet. This composite metal foam is similar to bubble wrap, however, made of metal. This technology is a revolution for the bullet proof vest market, as it makes the bulletproof jackets safer and lighter. This new composite foam metal technology can be used for other segments as well, which ranges from car bumpers to medical procedures like knee replacements.
Market Insights
Europe is the most open market for possession of body armor by civilians, as most of the countries allow possession of armor, except the ones made under strict military supervision. After the recent rise in terrorism and violence in Europe, civilians have become more alert, which is accelerating the trend of purchasing of such armor. The expenditure of homeland security will also increase rapidly in Europe, which is expected to aid the market for bulletproof armor. Moreover, the US House of Representatives allocated a defense budget of USD 598.5 billion through the National Defense Authorization Act, in 2016. The increase in the defense budget of the United States, in 2017, is expected to drive the demand for bulletproof vests in the North American region.

Geographic Analysis
The North America accounted for the largest market share and is expected to lead the market, during 2017-2022 (the forecast period). The United States continues to be the largest market for bulletproof vest products and will accelerate at a moderate pace in the future. Due to the decreasing defense expenditure, the growth rate is expected to be moderate, however, the civilian purchases are anticipated to register healthy growth rates. Regulations in Asia-Pacific countries are strict regarding the ownership of armor by the civilian population, therefore, increase of the civilians market will get dictated by the regulatory framework. However, the homeland security budget is increasing at a rapid pace, especially in countries such as India, where the law enforcement and even the armed forces are heavily under-equipped with armors. The increase in defense and homeland security budget is expected to boost the expenditure on bulletproof vests. Similar to Asia-Pacific, Latin America is anticipated to witness a strong growth rate in the market and, thus, become a major contributor by 2022.

31-47 for ninida, lazlo(was it lazlo, call me out of i wrote it wrong) aand max?
add an s and make it laszlo and you’re golden! (it’s actually laszlowaria but ain’t nobody got time for that)
31. Do they drink? What are they like drunk? What are they like hungover? How do they act when other people are drunk or hungover? Kind or teasing?
Ninida drinks somewhat, not much, rarely to the point of being hammered but tipsy maybe once a week or so. He’s a lot more jovial and affectionate when drunk, likes hugs, will pet your hair if you have it, laughs and is just a general good sport. Complete opposite when hungover, just leave him into his blanket burrito to recover. Will growl if someone comes too close. Kinda exasperated if people are drunk or hungover around him, complains about it, but if it’s a friend he’ll help in whatever way needed.
Laszlo can drink you under the table, he’s a regular in a local bar when not on duty and has a pocket flask for when he is. Never hammered during working hours but a little tipsy maybe, only blackout drunk if knows he has no duties. Even more out of it when drunk, somehow falls off the floor. His stories have no end, rambles in circles until he passes out, stories may or may not be true at all. Quietly looks after drunk and hungover people by making sure they aren’t in immediate danger, otherwise stays out of it.
Max can drink more than you’d think, she’s short but also has a pretty good resistance… might have drank a tad too much at parties when she was younger. Very rarely gets drunk anymore. Louder and more emotional in every way when drunk, laughs one second, cries the next, gets angry immediately. A mother hen when others get drunk, as a bartender she’s pretty good at spotting when people have had too much.
32. What do they dress like? What sorta shops do they buy clothes from? Do they wear the fashion that they like? What do they wear to sleep? Do they wear makeup? What’s their hair like?
Ninida doesn’t care about makeup or fashion, just skincare sometimes and the functionality of the clothes (as long as he can show his arms). Lots of pockets, a bulletproof vest under the hoodie. Gloves are cosmetic. Sleeps with sweatpants or underwear on.
Laszlo is colourblind and mostly wears black, puts comfort and functionality over looks, but with a thotty twist. His hair he keeps just long enough to tie up, otherwise his nose and medusa piercings are the most he’s done for his looks. He mainly wears the catsuit given by his boss, otherwise it’s capri pants and t-shirts that don’t get stuck on his shin and forearm spikes. Sleeps with a t-shirt and underwear.
Max takes clothing very seriously, orders mainly online from specific goth brands that carry her size, has outfits planned. Makeup is a second job to her and barely ever steps out the house without it, also makes sure her hair is in ship-shape. Very looks-oriented.
33. What underwear do they wear? Boxers or briefs? Lacey? Comfy granny panties?
Just… boxers, comfy
Boxers mainly, sometimes backwards, sometimes he forgets
Comfy panties, cute to give confidence but nothing that chafes, she’s on her feet a lot as bartender. Has a bunch of lacy ones for sure.
34. What is their body type? How tall are they? Do they like their body?
He’s typical for a nedian, some 172 cm maybe, slim, a bit less muscular than many others but not too bad of a twink. He’s okay with how he looks, women are the more beefy ones anyways
Around 180 cm, a little over maybe, thicc as a tree trunk. Typical strong arms and thighs for climbing but also some belly fat and love handles to spare. Just an absolute unit and he’s pleased with that
Max is short, some 155 cm and fat. She’s lost a little weight with a diet change to homecooked scheduled meals, but she’s still fat, and she’s completely fine with this and looks bomb as hell
35. What’s their guilty pleasure? What is their totally unguilty pleasure?
He doesn’t really feel guilty about the things he does for fun, doesn’t feel the need to. Though in the end cheating on his wife dipped from “guilty pleasure” to “complete douchebaggery”
He doesn’t have enough braincells to feel guilty, dude was a police officer corrupt as they can be once upon a time. Maybe drinking on the job is a bit of a guilty pleasure but hey, he’s got good tolerance and not enough booze in his flask to get him too messed up.
Buying new makeup and clothes can be a bit of a guilty pleasure, but she neeeeds them. Using them and making herself look glam is something she feels no guilt about though, yes she might look a lil over the top but so what? It’s her style and she likes it
36. What are they good at? What hobbies do they like? Can they sing?
Can design and build guns like the best of ‘em, it’s a hobby and a job, as well as testing the guns out at a firing range. Can’t sing at goddamn all
An excellent marksman and slick as hell, can talk himself out of pretty much any problem. Knows where to find a connection and how to utilize it to end up on top. On his free time he likes to play cards, hang out in a bar, snoop around casually, maybe find someone to share his bed for the night, who knows. Not a singer.
She’s got great style and impeccable makeup skills, somewhat artistic too but those are just some flower doodles. Enjoys making videos and makeup tutorials, cooking, hanging out with friends. Can hold a tune but mainly just hums.
37. Do they like to read? Are they a fast or slow reader? Do they like poetry? Fictional or non fiction?
He can pour over technical manuals, likes comics, longer novels get boring. A pretty fast reader though, has no interest in poetry.
A bit of a slow reader and prefers bigger text for his eyesight, has a hard time concentrating on longer text so he doesn’t really read books. Alternatively he does enjoy poetry and comics since there’s less to read.
Enjoys reading, usually fiction, crime novels and horror, sometimes romance. Enjoys poetry a lot, especially of the gothic kind.
38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?
Admires tenacity and skill, never giving up despite struggles is inspiring. Wishes he could demand respect and earn it in a way people like Mhairi do, he feels like a bit of a little fish still (esp. compared to dad)
He can respect honesty, positivity and tenacity, even if it’s someone trying to catch him. Also appreciates patience because he knows he can be a bit of a mess. Being able to focus better would be nice.
Max appreciates honesty and open-mindedness, you can be blunt with your honesty, just don’t be mean, and be open to other views and facts than your own. She’s always looking to improve, if anything specific then just not being so hot-headed herself
39. Do they like letters? Or prefer emails/messaging?
Texts and emails are so much easier.
He won’t remember what he wrote on a letter so messages and emails work best
Loves an old-fashioned wax-sealed love letter as much as any dramatic hoe but obviously texts and emails work the best
40. Do they like energy drinks? Coffee? Sugary food? Or can they naturally stay awake and alert?
Too much soda and energy drinks, a caffeine fiend. Could probably stay up without if the weather is warm but still drinks his Red Bull
Mostly drinks alcohol or just water, he stays up long whiles with no help.
Likes her coffee, but mainly just a cup in the morning and an extravagant Starbucks drink during the day, maybe one in the evening. Might have something sweet during shifts at the bar, just for a little kick.
41. What’s their sexuality? What do they find attractive? Physically and mentally? What do they like/need in a relationship?
Hetero/demisexual, primarily an ass man, but a tight bod in general is a sight to see. Hair is nice to touch. Mentally likes tough women who know what they want and know to demand it, likes brains as much as butts. Needs affection and love and dedication, he’s serious about this shit
Bisexual, doesn’t really have a preference, maybe leans more towards thicc guys and gals, prefers a chubby belly over washboard abs. Mentally just be interesting, keep his attention, share views, not super into uptight nerdy scholar types. Needs attention, love and for the other one to take initiative for him to show love back, for now kinda casual about relationships because he tends to go too serious too quick and end up hurt
Bisexual, likes tough girls and cute boys, chubby people, stronk and soft, sparkly like she is, similar views and attitudes, not interested in super shy and quiet people who don’t like going out or don’t hype her up.
42. What are their goals? What would they sacrifice anything for? What is their secret ambition?
His main goal is to blow up beat Vim in the market, his feelings are hurt and feels like his old man’s time has passed, no familial feelings anymore after the stunt Vim pulled, now it’s just rivalry. Kinda sacrificed a relationship to have the family he wanted, too.
Right now he’s just seeing if this sticks, so far he’s enjoyed captaining the Vandal and maybe even dipping his toesies back into corrupting law enforcement… this time being the one corrupting, not the one corrupted
Her ambitions are to make the makeup channel a full-time job and quit bartending, can eventually do that and make bank from being an influencer while also being a mom.
43. Are they religious? What do they think of religion? What do they think of religious people? What do they think of non religious people?
Not religious really, just tiny remnants of the kind of voodoo-type religion most common in where he’s from. Biggest thing religion-wise are the beads he got from his mom he keeps in his pocket, it’s more sentimental than that he actually believes in higher powers. Has no opinion about believers or non-believers unless they try to tell him how to think in which case he gets pissed
His people are generally atheistic, not religious at all himself, kinda finds it odd. But it’s none of his business, just keep it to yourself thank you. Will listen to stories though.
Not particularly religious, wears some religious stuff as part of her style but doesn’t really follow anything herself. Keep it to yourself.
44. What is their favourite season? Type of weather? Are they good in the cold or the heat? What weather do they complain in the most?
Summer, he thrives in warm and humid. Active and happy during warm months. Hates the cold, gets drowsy, outside gets janky and eventually freezes entirely. Whines about cold.
Used to mild, medium weather, very dry, was baffled about rain and clouds. Appreciates the lack of dust outside his homeland. Summer tends to get hot, winter is too cold, not a fan of snow, likes rain. Likes fall.
Loves the fall, pumpkin spice, Halloween, spooky times. Manages heat well, hates sleet and snow but has good jackets to stay warm. Now if just her boots wouldn’t get so dirty.
45. How do other people see them? Is it similar to how they see themselves?
Depends greatly, he might be a whiny brat to some, a genius to some. He has been knocked down enough pegs to make him a bit humbler than he’d be otherwise, but he’s still an eager little man trying to become something great at any cost
He’s very much not welcome in his homeland, kind of an outsider everywhere else, his people aren’t so often seen. He’s just chilling and he has his talents, he’s a bit of an enigma to others, a horrible criminal to some and a disaster to his crew
Some may think she’s just a fat bitch, those are people she hasn’t allowed to bully her, others think she’s a role model. She’s a great friend and a mom, too.
46. Do they make a good first impression? Does their first impression reflect them accurately? How do they introduce themselves?
He’s a bit awkward but he’s that in general, got more gun skills than people skills, which is pretty noticeable. He’ll shake your hand and say his name and what ship he’s from.
There’s something off, the handshake is firm but he might just forget to actually say his name or what ship he captains/who he works for, in general he seems… capable? If a bit scatterbrained.
Shakes your hand, smiles, introduces herself, she immediately feels like a pleasant person.
47. How do they act in a formal occasion? What do they think of black tie wear? Do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?
Doesn’t feel at all home in fancier events, doesn’t like dressing up formally, even if nedians don’t do black ties. Avoids fancy chitchat and events and maybe just raids the snack bar and bails.
Pretty at home actually, doesn’t particularly like formal wear but he’s used to wearing it, slips out from one conversation and into another without internalizing any of it or adding anything of substance. Gets tipsy and eats a bunch, just wanders around, gets stuck staring at a curtain for half an hour,
Likes dressing up but prefers a bit more casual parties, like dinners, not as formal. Loves to talk and have a drink and compliment ladies on their clothes.
