Thinking about makoto merch and how he can’t escape even when he goes to jabberwock to check on the remnants because that’s literally the home of the number one Makoto collector (it’s nagito yes) and he’s horrified everytime he goes and sees his stupid fucking artistically nude sexy calendar(s) (they were for charity) on both the wall in the hotel lobby and in various spots in different venues. Alsooo there’s probably little Makoto trinkets EVERYWHERE, he’s in absolute hell.

Patterns in Leg Expression over the Danganronpa Trilogy
Wait, I know this is a weird title, but please bear with me for some time. **Spoilers for sprites AND death order for all three games
I'm going to be defining "leg expression" as different leg movements in sprites. Dr1, has by far, the highest amount of different leg movements, while V3 has the least amount of various leg movements. Dr2 is in the middle, with certain characters.
Danganronpa 1: Trigger Happy Havoc:
Example: The Gothic Princess
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I chose Celeste because of her expressive head sprites (plus being my favorite DR character...shhhh). Overall, Celeste has three varied leg sprites. The bottom two mainly show up during her trial and during her breakdown, so it makes sense to see these different leg movements. On the other hand, calmer characters like Chihiro don't have any "new" leg sprites besides their standard. However, the general trend of characters in DR1 tends to be multiple leg expressions for each character. It's still a common occurrence - especially if they tend to show a wide range of emotions. In general, in DR1, there were more 3/4 body sprites where that turn their back on you (Sakura, Kyoko, I'm looking at you)
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
Example: The Glorious Bastard of Danganronpa
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Nagito is one of the most expressive characters in DR2, but most of his sprites involve only small positional changes with his legs. Even characters such as Ibuki and Gudhum tend to have 1 or no different leg expressions. After going through the DR2 cast's legs (what a weird sentence to say..), a common occurrence was in mirroring the legs. However, compared to Dr1, the leg variation has slightly gone down. Of note, Kazuichi has some good variation, while Mikan has two versions of her leg that are distinctly different! Sonia also surprisingly has some really good leg variation!
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony
Example: The Junko Kinnie
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Danganronpa V3 has the least amount of leg movement by far. Very vivid characters who tend to be very expressive (Kokichi, Angie, Tenko, Miu, Korekiyo, Maki, Kaito) don't get ANY new leg movements. Tsumugi has the most by far with three distinct leg movements while another character might maybe have a second version. Compared to Dr2, a lot more mirroring of the legs happens in V3 - and definitely compared to Dr1. For V3 in particular, so many of the characters are so much more vivid and eccentric that maybe more of the budget could have been spent on their top halves - this would lead the legs to not be changed as frequently between sprites.
Conclusion
This isn't a perfect analysis with perfect statistical analysis! But it was so much fun to go through the sprites of such a huge cast.

Quirky RC!Hajime - Erasure
Have a Reserve Course Hajime canceling Ultimates as if they were quirks. It's yet another silly post with no logic whatsoever. "Cancelling Ultimates", in this case, is just causing Ultimates to be less interested in their passion or, in Nagito's case, nullify strange luck occurrences.
Being at Hope’s Peak is honestly a blessing. This school is so reputable that it doesn’t matter that Hajime's not an Ultimate, there’s definitely a way he could become successful. Even though being an Ultimate would be…
He bumps into someone and his papers fall. “I’m sorry-”
“Watch where you’re going, Reserve Course,” sneers a white-haired guy. What the hell? Green eyes land on a brown uniform. Double what the hell?
Fuck you. Hajime growls internally.
“Right, sorry about that.” He says instead. Might as well be the bigger person.
“You should be.” The Ultimate scowls, dusting himself off.
Nevermind. “Hey, what's your problem?”
“You should know your place. You’re scum of this Earth, a mere peasant, but that’d be generous of a title... you're barely even worthy of being a stepping stone, no, even a damn pebble to us Ultimates.” He replies snootily. What a dick.
The desire to shove him is visceral, but Hajime's got a tuition that isn’t going to pay for itself. He grits his teeth. “I didn’t realize all Ultimates were assholes.”
“Only to the ones that deserve it.”
Fuck.
This.
Guy.
His fists clench.
Scholarship. This was your dream.
Hajime's hands loosen. He glares at the other guy and turns on his heel.
SHWING!
Is he resorting to throwing things now? What a child. Forget it. I don’t care. I have a test soon anyway.
Not all Ultimates could be like that, right? Hajime frowns. He can't ignore the way his stomach plummeted at the interaction, the strange way his heart sank when he was so readily dismissed.
…Maybe this is why the saying “Don’t meet your heroes” exists.
Meanwhile, Nagito's left standing with his mouth wide open.
Did he… see that correctly? It reminded him of his luck, the way that the gray metal swung overhead, looking to land on the Reserve Course student’s head. He was thinking about “what a mess to clean up that would be”, internally cursing his luck for dirtying the grounds of Hope’s Peak with blood (the Reserve Course student wouldn't have even deserved it, no matter what he said), but instead it just- didn't? hit him? And launched itself into the ground next to where the other was standing before?
He’s never observed anything like it. His luck likes to force low probabilities into reality, but he’s never seen something completely ignore physics.
And all around a Reserve Course student.
How... strange.
He shrugs it off, but his gaze lingers on the dark suit walking away.
[He doesn't believe in coincidences.]
✃ ┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°
A brunette sits on a fountain, playing on her GameGirl. Hajime scrutinizes her warily when he approaches, but she continues staring at her console. He shrugs. That’s not his problem, he’s just here to eat lunch. The white-haired Ultimate rings through his mind, and he eyes her brown uniform distastefully. He knows the idea of an Ultimate Gamer sounds like a really cool person to talk to, and she looks nice, but so did the other guy, so…
Normally, Hajime would try to avoid her, but the campus is only so big for Reserve Course students and this is his spot. He ensures to sit a few feet away from her and digs into the eggs he made for himself. Man, being on a budget is rough. He grabs a spoonful of egg and rice and
Beep!
Instinctively, he tilts his head to the sound. Her GameGirl is closed, so she must’ve turned it off. God, now he’s missing his old console. It sucks he left it when he came to Hope’s Peak. While in his thoughts, he does catch the girl blinking and looking confused. Right, definitely not his problem. He lifts his spoon again.
“Um, hello.” The Ultimate again prevents him from eating.
He sighs. Are all Ultimates really this rude?
He sends an admittedly pointed look at her, who has set aside her game completely, considering it’s nowhere in sight on the fountain. Wasn’t gaming her talent? Was his existence seriously bothering her so much she had to put down her game? “Look, I’m sorry, I’m just trying to eat. I can leave if it’s bothering you that bad, but you could at least be direct about it.”
“I’m not bothered.” She answers. “I just want to talk, I think.”
His eyebrows furrow. Talk? “About… what? Your games?”
She hums. “I normally would like to, but no, not really.” She hums some more. “Oh, actually, I’m tired.”
The girl yawns, and lays her head on her bag and her legs on the fountain.
Some talk that was. Was he that boring? They barely even had a back and forth! Ultimates are so damn confusing…
He looks down at her sleeping form and sighs. He can’t just leave her here asleep by herself. Who knows what could happen?
Well, at least he gets to eat. He finishes his food and checks his phone. Next period is going to start in 10.
The girl is still asleep. Hmm. Is no one seriously looking for her? Besides that, doesn’t she have any friends from her class? Where the hell are they?
He could take her back to the Ultimate building, but no one will take too kindly to that.
Damn. What the hell does he do?
“Hey.” He says.
No response.
“Hey.”
Still nothing.
He jostles her shoulder slightly.
That does the trick, and she blinks up bleary-eyed at him.
“I don’t know how your class schedule works, but next period is about to start for me.”
She tilts her head. “Why are you telling me this?”
He flinches. “Fair enough I guess, geez. I was worried about leaving you alone in your sleep, because you’re being left vulnerable, you know? But clearly I shouldn’t have bothered thinking any Ultimate would be grateful.”
And he stomps out.
Chiaki watches him storm away with a pout. She was just confused and wanted clarification…
He does seem to have a low opinion of Ultimates. Why would that be? Maybe a bad interaction with someone else who’s an Ultimate? Did he enter a flashback sequence because she triggered something?
Right, she paused mid-level for some reason. She pulls out her GameGirl. The Reserve Course student lore unlocking could wait, she needs to 100% this level.

Title: My World is Better with You
Author: kwriterintraining
For: wlw-izuru
Pairings/Characters: Hinata Hajime/Komaeda Nagito, Hinata Hajime & Kuzuryu Natsumi
Rating/Warnings: General Audience / No Archive Warnings Apply
Prompt: hajime hinata is the most normal guy in his year, and he wants to stand out more. so naturally, he turns to the weirdest dude in school, nagito komaeda (who happens to think that hajime is more than fine as he is)
Author’s notes: I had fun coming up with this light and fluffy fic, I hope you enjoy your gift ^^
Hajime ate his sandwich, the chatter of the building fading into white noise as he became lost in thought. Suddenly, a loud slam brought him back to reality. A burning pair of green olive eyes were staring daggers into his soul.
Shit.
What were they even talking about? Fashion? Exams? Celebrities?
Who cares?
Should he care?
Hajime couldn’t say for sure.
“Ugh! Why do I even put up with you?” Natsumi Kuzuryuu screeched in his face.
If it was anyone else, they would probably cower away or beg for mercy. But Hajime knew better. They had known each other since freshman orientation. Even though it was an event to help the new students get along, Natsumi apparently made it her mission to scorch the earth she walked on the moment she arrived at Subaseka university.
She gave a verbal lashing to everyone she came across and glared at anyone who talked behind her back. Soon enough, everyone who wasn’t pissed off at her was too scared to even acknowledge her. Hajime’s first impression of her wasn’t the best, but he admired her courage. She had the guts to stand out and make sure everyone in the room would know who she was.
Hajime, on the other hand, was just another forgettable face in the background. His life mainly consisted of studying and working part-time jobs. He didn’t care to follow celebrity gossip or trends. He just lived his simple normal life like any other person in the world.
He didn’t even think Natsumi would remember him until they found out they shared a lot of classes. Since no one else was willing to work with her, they got paired up in group projects and bonded over their frustrations. Hajime admired her charisma and confidence, while Natsumi appreciated having a friend who was brave enough to tell it to her straight.
So, something like this was normal to Hajime now. The two of them had a staredown, neither of them yielding to the other. Hajime never broke contact as he finished his sandwich. Eventually, Natsumi yielded.
She huffed and crossed her arms, “Listen, you dick! I’m spending my time on your sorry ass, so the least you can do is pay attention. You’re the one bitching about wanting to be different, so at least try to pick something.”
Natsumi gestured to the fashion magazines laying on the table in front of him. That was when Hajime remembered what they were talking about. He felt a little embarrassed for spacing out when she was doing her best to help him.
He quickly glanced over the covers and felt a weight on him pushing him further into himself. Those models posed with such confidence as they modeled the trendy outfits on them. How could someone make a white t-shirt with ripped jeans look like the coolest thing on the market?
He tried imagining himself with the exact same outfit and cringed. He’d look like a disheveled shut-in who needed a social life.
Half of the other clothes would be too embarrassing to actually wear or were out of his budget. In fact, Hajime was certain he already saw someone on campus wearing one of these outfits.
“I’ll just look like everyone else who decided to copy from these magazines.” Hajime said as he looked away from Natsumi and the models on the covers. It felt like they were mocking him with how charismatic they were.
“Well, nothing’s gonna change if you keep moping like this.”
It might have been Hajime’s imagination but Natsumi’s words sounded softer now. But, Hajime just wanted to stop thinking about it. His eyes roamed around the large eatery they were in. Most of the tables were filled with people grabbing a quick bite before their next class. However, one table stood out because it was only occupied by one person.
A white-haired boy with a frame that reminded Hajime of death. The black leather jacket he was wearing only makes his skin look paler. He was like a specter, alone in a corner as if no one could even see him.
However, despite always being alone, everyone in this school knew about Komaeda. Whispers between periods talked about how he said the most confusing and frustrating things. Girls would stay away because of how uncomfortable he made them feel. Guys kept saying how pointless it was to fight him since he always laughed in the face of misery and pain.
That being said, this was the first time Hajime actually saw Komaeda in the flesh.
“Yeah, maybe I should do something about it.” Hajime muttered, unable to take his eyes off that enigmatic boy.
Natsumi followed Hajime’s gaze before turning back to him with a sharp hiss, “Komaeda? I thought you wanted to stand out, not be a fucking weirdo.”
“I’m just gonna talk to the guy.”
With that, Hajime stood up from his seat. The loud squeak from the chair’s sudden movements drew the attention of countless eyes in the room. Hajime felt their eyes on him but he did his best to ease his drumming heart. That jolt of anxious adrenaline got him in front of Komaeda’s barren table.
“Mind if I sit here?”
Komaeda looked up from his book, seemingly unaware of the attention on them right now. He smiled and said, “Of course. Most people tend to go elsewhere. It makes sense, no one would want to risk associating themselves with someone like me.”
Yeah. Weird and confusing. Komaeda was just like what the rumors said.
“Ok…” Hajime warily sat down on the table. He quickly noticed that people had stopped paying attention to them. He pushed the thought away and focused on making a good impression, “My name is Hinata Hajime.”
“Nice to meet you, Hinata-kun. I’m Komaeda Nagito.” Komaeda introduced himself without putting the book down. In fact, his eyes went back to reading it the moment introductions were over.
Was this guy serious?
A few minutes of painstaking silence answered that question. Hajime decided to take the initiative, “What’re you reading about?”
“Oh, nothing special, just a book about urban legends.”
Hajime knew Komaeda was unusual. After all, rumors about him that circulated him weren’t always kind. But, Hajime wasn’t expecting an answer like that. Komaeda said it in such a carefree way like it wasn’t a big deal at all.
“Really? You believe that stuff?”
Komaeda let out a thoughtful hum, “Well, I don’t think half of these legends are true. Otherwise, we’d see ghosts everywhere we looked. But I do believe there is a natural order to the world.”
“A natural order? Like the strong devour the weak or something like that?”
An airy laugh came from his thin lips as Komaeda finally put the book down, “You have a pretty cutthroat viewpoint, Hinata-kun.”
“H-Hang on! I didn’t say that was my viewpoint!” Hajime quickly argued, pink blotches appearing on his tan cheeks. “I was just asking since you’re the one who mentioned it.”
“Fair enough. After all, what right does someone like me have to question your beliefs?”
Komaeda’s response pretty much shut down the conversation. However, unlike before, he didn’t pick up his book again. Instead, his full attention was now on Hajime. Hajime fought the urge to squirm under his gaze.
Hajime rarely had someone who was so interested in him. He was so ordinary that anything he said wouldn’t add to a conversation, nor did he have any special niche to show off. Even Natsumi was fed up with him and his complaining, he was actually surprised she didn’t follow through on her many threats.
“So… are there any urban legends in there you like?”
Komaeda opened the book and lazily flipped through the pages, “Most of these are more like ghost stories than actual legends, though my personal favorite is about the Curse of the Colonel.”
“Colonel? Was he some big shot from a war?”
“Nope, it’s about a life-size statue of Colonel Sanders. Ever wondered why Hanshin Tigers had such bad luck?”
The answer was so absurd that Hajime started laughing in disbelief. It likely drew some attention but he didn’t care. Hajime didn’t know what was weirder, the fact that people believed that a statue for a fried chicken brand could curse a baseball team or that Komaeda actually liked something like that. He didn’t even know such a thing existed.
How would one respond after being told something like that?
Before Hajime could come up with an answer, a soft beeping melody came from Komaeda and stopped Hajime’s laughter. He pulled out his phone from his pocket and turned the alarm off.
“My class will be starting soon. Hinata-kun is so very kind to spend time with a worthless worm like me. I apologize for rudely cutting our conversation short.”
Komaeda cleared the table he was using and stood up. Hajime also felt that the perpetual smile he noticed on Komaeda’s face looked a little sadder now.
“It’s fine, we can always talk again later.”
Hajime’s words got Komaeda to perk up. His eyes widened ever so slightly. Was Komaeda that surprised?
“If that’s what Hinata-kun wants, I’ll happily oblige.” Nagito chuckled airily before asking, “Could you lend me your phone?”
The whiplash left Hajime speechless as he passed his phone to Komaeda. After Komaeda handed his phone back, he walked away until he finally disappeared from Hajime’s view.
Hajime looked at the number displayed on his phone. How did this happen? Was this really a good idea? The conversation was a whirlwind of emotions that he couldn’t keep up with, but Hajiime never felt so excited.
Maybe this was exactly what he was looking for.
_______________________________________________
“I still can’t believe you’re doing this.”
Hajime fought the urge to sigh at those words. How many times had he heard Natsumi say that after he first told her about this?
He turned away from the other passengers on the train before responding, “You told me to do something about it, and this is me taking action.”
“There’s standing out and committing social suicide.” There was a pause from the other side. Hajime wondered if the connection was lost before she asked, “You sure this is a good idea?”
The question was asked so quietly that Hajime almost didn’t hear it over the rumbling of the train. No matter how her words may sound, they always carried her truest intentions.
“You’re overthinking it. If this doesn’t work out, we just don’t talk to each other again. Not like we spoke much anyways.”
Although Hajime said that with an air of indifference, his heart twinged a little at the thought of not talking to Nagito again. Ever since they exchanged phone numbers, there were brief greetings in the halls and random texts throughout the week. Sometimes, one of them would ask a question that would turn into an hour-long conversation about something else entirely.
Hajime couldn’t explain it, but talking with Nagito was so comforting.
“Your funeral, then.”
Natsumi’s words still lingered in his mind as he got off the train. Nagito had asked him to meet him in Shibuya this evening, and Hajime was intrigued to see what Nagito had in mind. Once he made it to the surface and faced the noise of the city, he pulled out his phone.
Just as he was about to text Nagito, he spotted the green jacket and white hair standing out in the crowd. Nagito must have noticed him as well and met him halfway,  “Hinata-kun, you made it.”
“Well, yeah. I said I would.”
“Hinata-kun is too kind.” Nagito’s smile felt like there was more beneath it, but Hajime decided now was not the time to pry.
“So, what are we doing here?”
“A friend of mine suggested something we could do.” Komaeda said as he and Hajime walked away from the station.
“Something that needed a driver’s license?” Hajime asked with a raised brow.
Nagito said nothing more about his surprise, changing to another topic. How their classes were going, how the rain had been a nuisance when running between buildings, and how the professors seemed to be relentless with their assignments. Nagito proposed that the professors were conspiring with each other to have their coursework align as closely as possible.
Nagito played it off as a joke but Hajime wondered how true it was since he had 4 assignments due in the coming 2 weeks.
Eventually, they came across a storefront with go-karts parked on the side of the road. There were people dressed up in costumes inside the store, making Hajime feel weirdly underdressed. He awkwardly tugged the sleeves on his hoodie and followed Nagito to the counter.
“What is this place?”
“Nanami-san told me about this, we get to dress up as Mario characters and drive around Shibuya. It sounded interesting, so I wanted to surprise you with it.”
Well… this wasn’t what he expected when Nagito asked him to meet up in Shibuya at night. Hajime was expecting something… weirder?
Like a cafe with yokai statues all over the place, or a mystic wishing pond.
Something that wasn’t this.
“Hinata-kun, do you not like it?” Nagito muttered as he wrapped his arms around himself, “Ah, I should’ve known better than to be so presumptuous. Driving at night in the middle of the city isn’t very fun. Our first date, and I am already ruined-”
“Woah, calm down.” Hajime quickly shook his head and hands, trying to get through to him, “I never said I didn’t like it. We came all the way to Shibuya for this, so we might as well try it out.”
The smile on Nagito’s face made it a little easier when he walked over to the costume rack and accepted the costume bag Nagito was holding.
That warm feeling went away immediately when he saw the orange dress inside of it.
Hajime walked out of the dressing room with a scowl, while Nagito was obviously holding back his laughter. Why did he have to be Daisy when Nagito got a Luigi costume?!
“You look good in orange, Hinata-kun.”
“Did you book this?”
“Costumes can’t be booked ahead of time, Hinata-kun. I just picked two off the rack that matched our sizes.”
Hajime didn’t fully believe him but there was no point in making a scene when all the other drivers were in costume too. After the kart instructor gave them instructions about the go-kart and the route they’d be taking, they each hopped into their own karts and drove off into the night.
For the first time in a long time, Hajime was entranced by the nightlife around him. In a world where everyone was competing to outshine the other, he never really took the time to actually look around at the people he competed with.
The glowing lights from the giant screens and signs, the chatter of people on the sidewalk, and the sound of traffic whizzing alongside the karts.
Hajime felt grounded in a way he didn’t remember feeling before.
Nagito’s kart drove up next to his, and the city lights made Nagito shine like nothing Hajime had seen before. The lights gave Nagito’s pale skin a glow of color. His fluffy hair looked ethereal as strands of it fluttered with the passing sights. His eyes had a sense of wonder in them as he took in everything around him.
He turned to Hajime and smiled.
Even in that ridiculous green costume, Hajime was charmed.
Eventually, they made it back to the starting point. Hajime got out of the kart with a new perspective of the city. He only came to Shibuya when Natsumi dragged him along on her shopping binges, so he never really thought much of it until now.
He had Nagito to thank for that.
Hajime quickly took the costume off in the dressing room and placed it back into the bag it came in. Nagito was waiting for him with his Luigi costume in hand, “Did you enjoy it?”
“More than I thought, actually.”
“Hinata-kun’s expectations were already so low, I see. I’m glad I didn’t disappoint you.” The smile on Nagito’s face as he said that made Hajime’s heartache and Hajime was ready to argue against that.
“Are you kidding me? If anything, I’m surprised you’re not disappointed by me.”
“Hinata-kun could never disappoint me.” Nagito’s sudden declaration surprised him into silence. Hajime saw the sincerity in his expression and heard no hesitation in those words.
Were those Nagito’s true feelings?
As they left the building, Hajime glanced at where the train station was. However…
He wasn’t ready for this to end yet.
Instead, he turned towards Nagito, “Come on, a date isn’t over until we have dinner. How are you feeling?”
Nagito’s shoulders slumped a little as he answered, “A little peckish.”
Was Nagito worried Hajime would leave? Maybe Nagito didn’t want this to end yet either.
With a burst of confidence, Hajime took Nagito’s hand and started walking, “How about some ramen? I know a good place.”
Nagito’s eyes brightened as he let Hajime lead the way. He felt Nagito intertwining their fingers together, embracing the warmth from their hands. To anyone else, they were another couple on the bustling streets of Shibuya. But to Hajime, no one else existed at this moment but him and the boy who he grew to care so much about.
Hajime usually felt like another face in the crowd, just another ordinary person that would never stand out. But tonight he realized it didn’t bother him at all. Not once did he feel that pressure on his chest or the anxiety gnawing away at his sanity. Nagito snapped Hajime out of his dull boring world and gave him a taste of what he had neglected.
How did Hajime miss so much? And Nagito… Hajime had already seen enough to know the rumors didn’t show the real Komaeda Nagito. The real Nagito was earnest, spontaneous, and very optimistic. How many more layers would Hajime uncover as they spent more time together?
With Nagito, Hajime felt special. Nagito looked at him like he was worth admiring, like he was more than enough. Hajime supposed that he was fine being who he was. After all, he finally felt seen by someone who mattered to him.

yeah i added the "takes awa y from real creators" option bc its a big talking point for anti ai stuff here and i was trying to think of as much varying reasons as i could to get a somewhat accurate opinion distribution. a lot of ppl on the notes of that post are saying its bad which im kind of surprised by bc for character.ai specifically ive only seen positive posts abt it here. and some points made like the data scraping stuff will need to be looked into later by me but i do agree with your opinion here. ive used a couple in my day but i just found it lame and inaccurate (characterization yay) and kind of Bad but morally i dont really think there is anything wrong with it
yeah i havent done a ton of research on how they work and where their data comes from, the reason for that is i dont care because im not using it either way. i think this site is just generally hostile to AI which is understandable considering how it's started to be used recently (esp regarding taking art/data w/o permission, the prospect of being able to use AI to replace artists for budget cuts is also a real thing) but sometimes it sort of seems like ppl r a bit quick to just dismiss the technology in too broad a stroke. i dont necessarily think these tech advancements are bad i think they need to be regulated (which is admittedly a tall order. due to the fact that We Live In Capitalist Hell etc). but if someone wants to talk to a soulless version of nagito komaeda that's fine. its fine.

Well, We have no update as of yet, so I predict It might be next year or at worst, 2025 when we get to chapter 1.
As for Izanami, I have a feeling she might be an antagonist character to Akira, due to her hating sinners and Akria being a hitman for the Yakuza, chances are that sparks will fly.
I will say that Yumeo might be the least antagonistic character in the dr genre. He's still antagonistic don't get me wrong, But compared to people like Byakuya, Syobai, And even David and Nagito, Yumeo's a saint.
//Yeah, the wait times for these fangans are understandable, given that they're fan projects and don't have huge budgets. Still, they put in a lot of time and effort and that should be commended ^^
//Izanami is definitely giving me rival character vibes, and there's definitely gonna be some conflict there for sure ^^;
//And yeah, Yumeo seems more grumpy than antagonistic the more I think about it
//For anyone who's seen Grey's Anatomy, TA and I have decided to nickname him "McDreamy" : P

Been spending the day looking for things to try and remake my old Kaminari cosplay on a budget. I wanted to do either Reki from Sk8 or Akechi from p5 this year but both would require almost entirely new materials (and reki would require buying a skateboard because I do not do shit by halves).
I had so many PLANS for this shit. but noooooo I had to get in a car crash and destroy my annual cosplay budget. Of course. So instead, remaking Kaminari it is. He was my very first cosplay and holds a special place in my heart, and I was planning on redoing parts of him anyway so this is as good of an excuse as any.
regardless tho, shits still expensive. my old jeans no longer fit, and while i have a good shirt and a sweatshirt that would work, id been planning on buying a yellow and black varisty jacket and ironing lighting decals to the arms. buuut….. jeans and varisty jackets are both expensive. plus i need a new wig because my old one is a cheap amazon wig rather than an actual cosplay wig. and I need to keep this under $100 US.
id also wanted to pierce my ears for this because i found some really sick lightning dangle earrings, but uh. yeah that's nit happening on this budget. so i was like "okay, ear cuffs and clip ons it is!" but somehow all the nice ones are even MORE expensive than paying for both the piercing and earrings? like no joke, the combo of 2 cuffs i liked best are almost $100 by themselves! thats fucking insane!!! no hate to the sellers on etsu tho, they're handmade and I respect the craft.
Anyway, the wig will be $30, I found some cheaper earrings that I like (tho not as much) for ~$20, Lightning decals come out at $20 as well, coloured contacts are $18, jacket is $40, and new jeans are $20….
Yeah, something has to go. It’ll probably be the earrings, they’re just fun. But that still totals 128, and that isn’t even calcuating shipping and tax. I might nix the jeans, except I’ve been wanting some new ripped black jeans anyway. So it’s probably gonna be the jacket and decals, sadly. They would’ve looked so damn cool, but I can always save up to get them another time. Right now the wig and contacts are the most important things, mainly the wig tho cause the contacts won’t last forever. Who knows, maybe I’ll bite the bullet and go slightly over budget to get the jacket and decals plus wig and go without contacts.
Really I just felt like complaining. This isn’t important at all lol, but it brings me joy and I’ve been a bit lacking in that lately so realising that I can’t even afford to do what I was envisioning for my one cosplay this year kinda sucks. Regardless, I’m determined to make it look cool. I’ve had practice styling wigs now, and kaminari’s can’t be harder than Nagito.

Yeah I agree with that.
John is reletable in some aspects, I need to accept that but his relatibility is just comes from fucked upness of human nature, he reminds me Rorschach from Watchmen. Cool motive terrible execution yk? But I need to accept one thing if he did not exist who will give us the gorey ideas we need?
And I watched the video, fuck Saw traps and Nagito coreness of some of them are impeccable, can we have some any other relations with other characters and saw traps? Which saw trap you use for certain characters you think of?
I love him as a character, but some fans of the movie's really think he was onto something. Light Yagami syndrome: if the media spends a lot of time showing you (not telling you, because show not tell) exactly how a character's ideology is wrong, a large amount of fans will unironically buy into it.
Yeah! When I first finished watching the movies I took to ao3 to see what kind of fucked up monstrosities of traps fans created since they weren't limited by budget and reality. It was mostly shipping. As much as I love shipping, I was disappointed. :(
I feel like the Saw punishment has to fit the crime and that custom traps are important for the phycological elements, but also Junko would not have a good time with that Knife Chair. And Kirumi also would not enjoy the carnival of death.

hello I really like your Relative Strangers AU and was hoping to know more about it if you're willing :)
Oh boy, this is an extensive and convoluted AU that I have had in my head for a LONG time, and I will probably be drawing more of it eventually!
Relative Strangers takes place in a future where the Remnants of Despair have been pardoned by the Future Foundation, and are living quiet, unobtrusive, heavily monitored lives among the general population. Their identities are for the most part not public knowledge (though there are always exceptions: the kingdom of Novoselic, for instance, considers their king and queen’s statuses as former Remnants of Despair to be a point of national pride). Things are peaceful for them. Many of them have started families. Had kids of their own, or adopted them. The system is overrun with orphans in the wake of the Tragedy, and the background checks on prospective parents are going from lax to nonexistent. Kokichi wasn’t technically kidnapped, but Nagito walked into an orphanage with a library card as his only ID, and they still let him walk out again with a child.
Meanwhile, a multitude of low budget copycat killing games have started popping up around the world, mimicking the one that was broadcast from Hope’s Peak Academy. The Future Foundation has its hands full trying to quell them. Among them Team Danganronpa begins on the dark web, its first season a series of low quality videos of kidnapped people being forced to murder each other in a grimy warehouse. Several seasons later they luck out incredibly when they kidnap off the street, completely by accident, Rantaro Togami, one of this generation’s potential heirs to the Togami Corporation.
Rantaro is one of the few of these kids who knows his father’s entire past. Through him, Team Danganronpa learns about the Neo World Program and the Jabberwock Island and Future Foundation killing games, as well as the identities and locations of the Remnants of Despair and the other killing game survivors. Using the long abandoned Neo World Program and Rantaro’s vast resources, they make a spectacular and cinematic killing game with an all-star cast of hostages - the children of the people involved in those former killing games.
With the Neo World Program’s memory editing abilities they’re able to create fake backstories and plotlines designed solely to mock and enrage those killing game survivors. The Ultimate Nurse’s son dies of a terminal illness. The Ultimate Breeder’s son gets an incest plotline. The Ultimate Imposter’s daughter reveals herself to be the “mastermind,” an imposter all along. Team Danganronpa wants to make an impact, and to do that they intend to get the full attention of a lot of powerful, dangerous people.
But before all that happens, it’s a long, happy lifetime of soft domesticity. And once their parents band together to defeat Team Danganronpa and rescue their kids from the Neo World Program, it can go back to being that way! Except the frightened kids they pull out of those pods still have the memories of their fake lives, and the “families” here to rescue them seem like strangers; actors playing people they’ve been told are fictional characters. They no longer trust their own memories, and aren’t sure which is the truth and which is the lie. There’s a long road of healing ahead of them.
Thus, y’know, Relative Strangers.

You guys really liked Moving In With Nagito!
So I think imma write another one but with Shuichi cause I love that boy.
Also, I’m kinda wanting to change the character my sprite is based on, so would you guys mind suggesting characters to base the sprites on? My current sprites are based off of Sayaka Maizono.
No trigger warnings here, just like last time! Under the cut! (Reader is gender neutral btw!)
Tumblr media
“Hey Y/N?” Shuichi, your boyfriend, looked at you nervously. He seemed nervous almost constantly since you had told him your current situation, honestly.
You had to admit, you were nervous as well. Rent for your apartment just increased for who knows what reason, and you weren’t sure if you’d be able to afford it. Sure, it was only by $100, but that was enough to cause concern since your job didn’t pay well anyway. And since you had told Shuichi this, he seemed just as on edge as you.
“Huh? What is it? I’m trying to figure out a new budget babe, can it maybe wait?” You tried your best not to sound annoyed, because you weren’t. At him. He was only doing his best to keep you sane right now, and you had to thank him for that. You were, however, slightly annoyed with the interruption.
“I… don’t think I should wait to ask you this,” he walked over to your desk and sat beside you, “you’re going through a lot right now, sweetheart… and… I’ve been looking at your expenses and there’s no possible way you can afford this rent increase.”
“And why are you telling me this? I told you I’m going to figure this out, Shuichi.”
“No, Y/N, you’re not. I know you’re struggling to find a new apartment that isn’t just as expensive or even more, so… here me out,” he reached into his pocket and pulled out a key, placing it in front of you, “I’d like you to move in with me.”
“….what?” You stared at the key in disbelief.
“I’ve weighed all your options and I think this is the best one financially. I get paid more as a detective and can afford a nicer apartment than you’ve got now, and if we share rent we’ll have even more money to go on more dates. Not to mention, I’ve honestly been wanting to ask you to move in with me for some time now…” he looked down, almost in embarrassment, as if expecting you to decline the offer.
But how could you? He was your boyfriend and you loved him, and you’d be lying if you said you hadn’t thought about moving in with him too. And he was right; financially, this was a very smart decision.
“Shuichi,” you picked up the key and smiled, “I’d love to move in with you.”
And that’s what led you here, your backseat and trunk full of boxes, parked in the car park for Shuichi’s apartment building. He lived on the ground floor, thank goodness, so moving all the boxes inside would be fast and easy since there were no stairs.
“You ready?” Shuichi looked at you from the passenger seat.
“Yeah. Let’s do this.” You got out of the car with him, grabbing a box as he went to unlock his door.
“Go ahead and set the boxes in the living room,” he let you inside, “I’ll start getting more boxes, ok?” You simply nodded and made your way to the living room. You’d been in his apartment before, so it was no surprise to you the difference in quality. His apartment had an upstairs, yours did not. And that was only one example of how his was much nicer.
After a few hours you got everything inside and got your essentials unpacked, opting to do the rest tomorrow. He led you to his bedroom upstairs, pausing to look at you.
“Shuichi? What is it?”
“I totally forgot to ask you Y/N… I just assumed we’d stay in the same room. If you want to have your own room I won’t be hurt. You can take the second bedroom.”
“No, Shuichi,” you smiled, kissing him for just a moment, “I’m more than happy to share the room with you.”
“Are you sure..?”
“Of course I’m sure. Now come on, let’s go to bed.”
“Right,” he pulled you into the room and pointed to a dresser, “I bought this for your clothes so ours don’t get mixed up. Not… not that you can’t wear my clothes, you totally can!”
“Thank you,” you kissed his cheek and left to grab your boxes of clothes, “and just so you know, I am gonna steal your clothes.”
“I sorta figured as much,” he helped you unpack the clothes into the dresser, “are you… ready for bed?”
“Ready? I’m exhausted,” you jumped onto the bed, burying your face in a pillow, “goodnight.” Your last word was slightly muffled from the pillow, but he still could hear you and laughed.
“Y/N,” he walked over and tugged lightly on the hem of your shirt, “you might want to change into pajamas first.”
“Nooo,” you sighed, “I want to sleep.”
“You won’t be comfortable in those clothes.”
“Fine,” you groaned, getting up and walking to your dresser, “you owe me cuddles for making me get up, though.”
“I didn’t make you, you got up by yourself,” he walked over and hugged you from behind, kissing your cheek, “but I was planning on cuddles anyway, sweetheart.”
Tumblr media
I want to hug this boy.
Anyway please help me figure out what to change my sprites too, and if you have a suggestion for a specific sprite if a specific character!
Preferably maybe a character that’s closer to my personality, and if you don’t know much about me you can check my pinned post!

Thanks for coming to my TED talk,

tell me more about the hair dying jail club with kokichi
I had a dream like months ago where I was in jail but it was also a church building because of course it was and I was also ‘playing as’ nagito freaking komaeda for no apparent reason
and it wasn’t really JAIL because people went out and did stuff but they did everything in cycles and schedules because they didn’t have enough rooms to keep everyone in solitude during free time at the same time so they rotated out while they did other activities during the day
and I got moved rooms, and when I went over there I found out I was ‘roommates’ with kokichi and he just… there was this area outside his room with a table with hair dye colors all over it and paper plates and stuff and people were just doing each other’s hair and there were streamers up everywhere
and I went into his room and there were streamers EVERYWHERE and balloons and his room just… looked like a low budget party
and I was like well I guess we’re sharing rooms now and so I went to sleep and I woke up in the dream with him pretty much staring down at me all like “hi :)” before I woke up for real

AU Where some of DICE key members are the elite, powerful and rich students of Hopes Peak, such as Byakuya, Mondo, etc.
DICE is as said by Kokichi, a powerful organisation that can manipulate the world with a ring of a phone and with over 10,000 members. Started between the parents of the students but passed down to the actual kids because
A) If any sketchy business was caught between the Yakuza and The Togamis, it could alert people to sketchy business practices and such.
B) Not only would the adults be able to avoid suspicion but can guarantee a place at Hopes Peak Academy, a place where they could meet without suspicion and to have a secure future with bonds with other minor people that could be useful (like somewith a Talent like SHL Adviser).
C) DICE has a front of being a Prank Squad that pranks for fun or for hire and since if kids meet up to prank and act like Kids, that wouldn’t be to suspicion either and if attracts media attention it will have substitutes for the actual 10 Key Members (they are apart of Dice but a separate section).
Members would be:
Chihiro: Hear me out, he, in his own way, is probably one of the smartest and powerful people in Hopes Peak/World.
The man made an AI that is like an actual human with emotions and such, able to replicate human emotions (becoming Mondo), made the AI world and hacked into Hopes Peak’s files (probably a really secure place). This would be really useful, plus who would expect Chihiro to be apart of DICE, making him a good source of information for things around Hopes Peak.
Byakuya Togami: He is considered by ultimate standards to be special (which seems like a very hard feat) and is to inherit the a large company (worth billions probably). Excellent resources for a group like DICE.
He also hates boring things (seen in 1-2), so he would have a reason to want to join in on something petty or spread chaos. He also wouldn’t be suspected to be apart of DICE due to his attitude of being stuck up and having a low tolerance of people in general.
Kokichi Ouma: The leader of DICE and Ultimate Supreme Leader, there is obviously a reason he was chosen for this title and what better reason than to be the head of 10 of the most powerful people in Japan.
Since DICE is described as a Prank Squad of 10 misfits, people wouldn’t really think much behind weird things being attributed to the actual DICE (Powerful People) but the made up one.
Mondo Owada: (Since this is an AU, his brother gave him the title) He is the leader of Crazy Diamond, the biggest biker gang in Japan. This type of power can be useful for manipulating more lower class people to stay in line and can be good for intimidation tactics.
To be honest, if you heard Mondo was apart of DICE with Chihiro, you would probably laugh because the guy seems so serious and angry to be apart of a prank squad.
Celestia Ludenburg: Her ability to gamble could be used for a lot of useful things like she would need to understand probability and risk to Gamble in a way that won’t risk her, put on an act to appear whatever way she needs it to be in her favour and a good grasp on reading people.
This can come in handy with negotiation and such to make sure they have the upper hand in the deal, just intimidate people into giving information if needed, invest money into different stock safely or take the risky move and straight up gamble so actually money to increase their budget if needed.
She, like Byakuya, wouldn’t seems to be apart of a “prank squad” due to her style of clothing (impractical if you want to prank) and her act of being better than everyone.
“Imposter” Ryota : His ability to become anyone and not be doubted is a skill that would be valued in a company like DICE, his ability is probably the most useful for when it comes to spying on famous people in the world by pretending to be a family member or such.
Since he is currently being the ultimate Animator, he would seem unimportant to a prank squad like DICE and seems too serious about himself and his animation to do something like that.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: Is apart of the Yakuza, a power group of people that could probably take care of any illegal activity needed, he is capable of self defence and intimidation.
He just doesn’t seem like someone who would be able to tolerate Kokichi and also doesn’t tolerate Kokichi that much.
Nagito Komaeda: Canonically, he is actual quite rich but is never mentioned on what his parents actually did. Though it can be implied that they were rich/important due to him getting kidnapped and held for ransom but are on the more quite type or not well known due to the kidnapper not knowing he had no remaining family to pay it off.
His luck can be a useful asset for risky plans and due to his luck keeping him alive no matter what it can probably minimise any death threating senecios. He is also seen to be good at planning, preparing due to his luck and his ideas and ability to find dangerous items (bombs, guns) .
Since he treats all ultimates the same, it can’t be seen that treats Kokichi or anybody better than the rest, but everyone in DICE are fully capable to treat Nagito like how everyone else does, if they want to or not.
Rantaro Amami: As the Ultimate Adventurer, he probably has made connections to different places around the world and is probably the only person in DICE to make an accurate map beside from 3 others. Due to his navigation skills, he can navigate around Hopes Peak without bumping into anyone using different passages (secret and non-secret) to evade and student or guards.
He treats everyone the same and is honestly seems way to chill to be bothered to prank people.
Key Note: He also the well needed Dad of Dice.
Kirumi Tojo: She is literally a maid that can do anything and is the secret Prime Minister of Japan, probably one of the most needed members to DICE due to her ability to do anything needed.
She acts too like a mom to be apart of DICE.
Key Note: She is the well needed Mom of Dice.
Dice was probably a group of pranksters till he was persuaded to be used for the connections between each family and corporations to avoid any suspicion from the media and that’s how it was created.
HONOURABLE MENTIONS:
PEKO PEKOYAMA FOR BEING STRONG AND CLOSE TO FUYUHIKO
GONTA GOKUHARU FOR BEING A STRONG MAN AND THE FACT HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO POISON PEOPLE BECAUSE OF BUGS AND KNOWING OF THE ARE POISONOUS OR NOT AND BEING ABLE TO SMELL POISON SOMEHOW.
ISHIMARU ONLY BECAUSE HE SLIGHTLY KNOWS ABOUT DICE DUE TO MONDO AND CHIHIRO BUT THATS IT.
That’s it for now but yeah hope this is fine.

Miyuki giggled a little at Monokuma, she couldn't help it.. he was a funny bear. He looked so cute, but sounded so evil; the contrast was spectacular. "Only if there's popcorn." She said as a joke, however as soon as she said that Monokuma had a box in his hand.
"Ta daaaaa! It's sweet popcorn! NOW GO!" He said, pushing her legs towards the door.
Miyuki squeaked. "Okay! Okay we're going." She sighed, walking into the movie theater and looking around in awe. "I haven't been to the movies in ages.." She took a seat with Nagito, carefully putting the popcorn box down. "I'm definitely not trusting that.." she laughed, looking up at the screen as the movie played.
"...We should go to the movies together when we get outta here." She whispered as she put her head on his shoulder.
--
As soon as they were able to leave, Miyuki just sighed; rubbing her eyes. "What the hell was that?" She asked with a slight whine. "That was just..-"
"AAAMAAAZING RIIIIGHT?!~" Monokuma popped up, expecting them to shower him in compliments for his movie.
Tumblr media
Nagito sighed. "How annoying." He looked and felt genuinely annoyed. The movie was long, very poor quality, and had no substance at all.
Tumblr media
"I thought there'd at least be some sort of clue if we had to sit through such an awful movie, but there wasn't anything like that either." He looked at Monokuma as he said that, trying to gauge the bears' reaction.
Tumblr media
"How despairing to watch such a budget film and not even have a single extra hint."
Tumblr media
"Graah!" Monokuma roared, putting his hands over his head in what Nagito assumed was meant to be menacing. "I put a lot of effort into that movie you know? Teenagers have no appreciation for true art!"
Nagito almost had to suppress a laugh at that. If that was art he was fine not having appreciation for art.
Tumblr media
"Or maybe it was so boring because you two were just making out in there and not even paying attention?" Wait a minute, was Monokuma sweating? How could a stuffed bear even sweat?
Maybe it was better to not question that in this type of situation...
Tumblr media
"And who said anything about a hint? Don't go making up things like hints if I never even mentioned that."
Tumblr media
A heavy blush suddenly spread across Nagito's cheeks. "We weren't making out..! You really shouldn't go making assumptions like that. Miyuki wouldn't..."
He cut himself off there, covering the lower half of his face. He's probably just trying to rile us up. It's better to ignore him.

Dangan-bloopers AU: Nagito forgot his line after Chiaki died so he just shouted the first thing that came to mind: "Oh no, our waifu!" That was not an acceptable answer.
As I said, one day he will get his scene correct. But today isn’t that day x)
After failing so many times, Nagito is so sure that something has to go wrong and him worrying leads to him that he went completely blank and just came up with the first thing he could think off, which was “Oh no, our waifu!”
While everyone laughs about it, the director just slaps himself in the face from frustration about this scene
I think the biggest part of the series budget went into fake blood, considering how often they had to restart Chiaki’s death scene again and thus cover her in fake blood
