I still can't believe I actually got to meet so many members of the TWD cast at German Comic Con 😍❤ I only got to take pictures with Alanna Masterson and Steven Yeun, but I met, talked to and huggged nearly everyone else who was there as well, including Alanna, Steven, Melissa McBride, Ryan Hurst, Michael Cudlitz, Katelyn Nacon, Ross Marquand, Seth Gilliam, Avi Nash, Cooper Andrews, Nadina Marissa, Emily Kinney, Madison Lintz, and Joshua Mikel. And in the panels or at their autograph tables I also saw Michael Traynor, Matt Lintz, Brighton Sharbino, Callan McAuliffe and Cassady McClincy. So amazing!! They're all such lovely, kind, awesome people who appreciate their fans so much. I really had the best time: high fives with Ryan, hearing Emily sing her new song, getting to recommend Alanna some restaurants in the area and having her tell me about her experience at the Dortmund Christmas Market, getting complimented by Katelyn, receiving the best hugs from all of the cast members, being able to ask them questions about their experiences of filming TWD, and telling not only all of the cast members how much I love and appreciate them and what they do, but also meeting and hugging my absolute favorite person in the world Steven Yeun and telling him what he means to me. Huge thanks to everyone who was there and took their time to meet fans!! This was totally a lifelong dream come true ❤

In this week’s special episode we're joined by special guest Aimee Garcia who plays fan favourite Ella Lopez in the TV show Lucifer. Aimee has also starred in shows such as Dexter, Trauma, Rush Hour as well as the film Robocop.
Aimee gives us a little tease about the direction of the show now that it's been saved by Netflix, as well as talking about the phenomenal response to the #SaveLucifer fan campaign.
00:00 - 01:32 Intro to interview 01:32 - 32:44 Aimee Garcia Lucifer interview 32:44 - 33:40 Outro
Talking about the campaign 5:
They were talking with Tom about it yesterday and Aimee talks about what she has experienced from conventions, letters and fans on a global level.
“We were completely shocked and completely surprised and once we thought the passion from all over the world we all went to the frontlines and we were like “Oh my God we do have an audience, we just do not have an audience that watches it Monday night at eight we have an audience that binges it, that watches it a week later or on their own time which is the future tv but when that happened, I mean 100% the reason we’re picked up was because of the fans”
Spoiler
Talking about Eve and Graham (the second one in a more concealed way)
“My character is a woman of faith and for 3 years her faith has been very unwavering and it will start to unravel I think, her relationship with God will be getting a bit rocky because Charlotte was taken away, and so many bad things have happened in their inner circle that she- her faith is a little rocky.”
Aimee believes that S4 will explore how the Devil will help Ella as her faith becomes a little shaky and then Chloe... The whole season will deal with the aftermath of the reveal and what that does to their dynamic.
Every episode will count and there will be no episode that will not move the episode forward! (Sanoiro: THANK DAD!)
And every character will have their world shaken upside down (Basically the centre theme of S4). And every actor is reading their script and say “I didn't see that one coming” and it’s so fun and juicy and heartbreaking because of change even if it’s growth it is also painful cause the definition of change is that you leave something behind even if it is a bad thing.
Ella and her faith, Chloe and the truth, Lucifer who am I? and Amenadiel has his wings back what does that mean? Linda and Maze their friendship goes in a totally different direction (Sanoiro: Am I the only one who slightly hopes for a F/F relationship there?), Everyone will be spinning in the rabbit hole and it will be so fun to watch!
Aimee talks about how her real life as a bachelor is correlated with her character and says she asks the writer to stop making fun of her :) :D
18:26 - Talking about Tom and the English slang. Lauren and Pepper (Lauren carries treats for her dog and calls the package funny pack which has Tom and Aimee trying to tell her that it means something entirely different and she is like please stop! And of course, they keep going).
Talking about Lauren and her pranks (the famous camel toe undergarment). Lauren pranking Kevin through Aimee and she is really bad at lying so the whole prank falls apart.
Peper little story with a vest which Tom suggested. They are getting Pepper a K9 LA police dog vest... Tom adores the dog.
Ildy and Joe are setting the rhythm behind the cameras and Tom & Lauren in front of them.
Talking about how Tom is usually working until 4:30 AM on a Saturdays morning. And everyone is tired but you have Tom at take 10 in the rain working without complaining. (Aimee sees Tom as the captain/leader of the team which makes her want to work harder) Also when there is a victim and they are in the sun, Tom will always try to shade the actor with his heigh, offer them an umbrella between takes and ask them if they need something.
(Sanoiro:^^^ I love this)
Favourite episode so far 3x25 (& 3x06) :) as it solidified the brother and sister relationship of Ella and Lucifer also Aimee says how Ella is funny how unaffected she is on Lucifer’s charms and she tries to get Chloe and Lucifer together.
Talking about Ella and how Tom is a musicals nerd while a musical episode would be Lauren’s nightmare. Also, Lauren has the best voice out of everyone else.
BTS trivia from 3x06 and how tired & dazed they were which proved to be a very good bonding experience between Aimee and Tom. :D
WB is trying to see if they can make it to a Brazil Comic Con and she talks about Brighton LUX.

2018 year in review
Rules: answer the questions about 2018 and tag some people!
Tagged by: @andyet-i-smile (thank you!! I actually love this prompt!)
So, hard to pick ‘top’ of anything since I honestly end up loving so many things on an almost equal measure, but I’ll give it a try ^_^ Also, I’ve tried to limit choices to what was either best this year or what I came to actually ‘discovering’ this year.
Top 5 films you watched in 2018
Avengers: Infinity War
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Ant-Man & the Wasp
Deadpool 2
Instant Family
Top 5 TV shows in 2018
Atlanta
The Good Place
Camp Camp
Castlevania
Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Top 10 songs of 2018 (*I’m extending this list because I have to share too many amazing songs)
Abba - Al Andar
DJ Khali, Denzel Curry, etc. - Elevate
Max Richter - On the Nature of Daylight
Christophe Beck - It Ain’t Over Till the Wasp Lady Stings
Brighton - Forest Fire
A Tribe Called Red - SILA
The Lumineers - Angela
Mike WiLL, Nicki Minaj, etc. - Runnin’
LISTENBEE, Ruella - Until We Go Down
Twenty One Pilots - Message Man
Top 5 books you read in 2018
*AHEM* So, apparently I’m a disgrace because I read a total of ZERO books this last year... Too much fanfiction out there getting my interest instead. Not enough ‘proper’ books write about father/son relationships, so, what am I to do? :P
Five good/positive things that happened to you in 2018
I became manager at the movie theater I work at - not only meant that I got paid more, but I got dibs on previewing movies 2 nights ahead of time ^_^ (THIS INCLUDED INFINITY WAR)
Went to Comic-Con in Seattle and saw Tom Holland (so, yes, I got to see that awkward fan-Q&A up close and upfront)
Went to my cousin’s wedding and did the Latin thing, dancing until 3 A.M. I love my new cousin-in-law; such a good dude!
Bought my PS4 and a bunch of games in time for my 2nd visit home, and once I arrived, my sister and I binge-played “Detroit: Become Human” and I got to confuse my parents with my gaming obsessions once more <3
I rescued a stray kitty and was able to take her safely to a shelter where she recovered well - it didn’t take long for someone to adopt her, and the volunteers assured me that the family seemed very nice/loving

BRIGHTON COMIC CON AND GAMES FESTIVAL
Tumblr media
Brighton Racecourse will be hosting Brighton Comic Con and Gaming Festival on July 3rd to July 4th, featuring a variety of heroes and villains from the most popular shows and books on the planet.
Moose Events run events as a small husband and wife team predominantly in the South West. After doing a successful first Comic Con event in oct 2017 they are now running more Comic Cons and gaming festivals in Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Surrey.
Tumblr media
There will be something there for everyone as they promise: guest cosplayers, comic artists and some guests from film and tv, prop displays, viking throne, Harry Potter 9 3/4 set, Lightening McQueen Car, Jack and Sally props, Sons of Anarchy bike, Cyberjam gaming, gamers bus /Sega gaming area /Just Dance area /cyberjam gaming area, tabletop demos from Asmodee, Bat Cave and Bat light with costumers and much more. (Brighton Comic Con and Gaming Festival, n.d.)
Target Audience
The event is open for everyone to attend with ticket prices starting from £5 for 6-13 year olds and £9 for adults and those over the age of 14. I assume like most similar events, children under a certain age will have to be accompanied by an adult, but with the amount of things to do and see here, I’m sure there will be something to please all ages and audiences.
Tumblr media
While I think their website as a whole is a little outdated and basic, there are definitely elements of the website that can be traced back to comic books, movies and games such as their logo and other buttons being surrounded by that classic comic book speech cloud and their staff dressing up in cosplay. These certain aspects make the website a little more interesting and unique to other launch pages, but I think the page as a whole would benefit from an update that would help to excite their visitors more.

Comic Con Gent Q&A: Caroline Munro
Caroline Munro (born 16 January 1949 in Windsor, Berkshire) is a British actress and model best known for her many appearances in science fiction and action films of the 1970s and 1980s.
“I wanted to do art. Art was my love. I went to Art School in Brighton but I was not very good at it. I just did not know what to do. I had a friend at the college who was studying photography and he needed somebody to photograph and he asked me. Unbeknownst to me, he sent the photographs to a big newspaper in London. The famous fashion photographer, David Bailey, was conducting a photo contest and my picture won.”
This led to modelling chores, her first job being for Vogue Magazine at the age of 17. She moved to London to pursue top modelling jobs and became a major cover girl for fashion and TV ads while there. Decorative bit parts came her way in such films as Casino Royale and Where’s Jack? (1969). One of her many photo ads got her a screen test and a one-year contract at Paramount where she won the role of Richard Widmark’s daughter in the comedy/western A Talent for Loving (1969).
1969 proved to be a good year for Munro, because it was then that she began a lucrative 10 year relationship with Lamb’s Navy Rum. Her image was plastered all over the country, and this would eventually lead to her next big break.
Hammer Films CEO Sir James Carreras spotted Munro on a Lamb’s Navy Rum poster/billboard. He asked his right hand man, James Liggett, to find and screen test her. She was immediately signed to a one-year contract. Her first film for Hammer proved to be something of a turning point in her career. It was during the making of Dracula AD 1972 that she decided from this film onward she was a full-fledged actress. Up until then she was always considered a model who did some acting on the side.

Some of her credits include: Dracula AD 1972 (1972), Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter (1973), The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974), At the Earth’s Core (1976), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), StarCrash (1978), Maniac (1980), The Last Horror Film (1982), Faceless (1988), Howl of the Devil (1988), The Black Cat (1989), Flesh for the Beast (2003), Turpin (2009), Midsomer Murders (2013), The Landlady (2013), Crying Wolf (2015), Vampyres (2015), Cute Little Buggers (2016), Frankula (2017), End User (2018), House of the Gorgon (2019), The Haunting of Margam Castle (2020), and the upcoming The Pocket Film of Superstitions (2021).

Hynes was born in Lewisham, London, on 15 November 1972, but grew up in Brighton, where she attended Dorothy Stringer Large School. As a teenager Hynes was part of the National Youth Theatre company, and made her professional dĂ©but in Peter Greenaway’s 1993 film The Baby of Mâcon, playing the very first midwife. For the first fourteen years of her career, she used her maiden name as a phase name. Early in her career she teamed up with future Spaced co-star Katy Carmichael in a comedy double-act called The Liz Hurleys, appeared in two productions at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre, and played parts on television in the nursing drama Staying Alive (1995-1997) and quick-lived sketch shows Six Pairs of Pants, (Un)all-natural Acts and Asylum – where the Spaced team (Stevenson, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright) first assembled. She also guest starred in the first ever episode of Midsomer Murders in 1997.
From 1998-2000 she played the supporting role of Cheryl in the surprise hit sitcom The Royle Family and reprised the role for special episodes in 2006 and 2009. Also in 1999, she co-wrote and starred in Spaced. In 200four she played a minor part as Yvonne in horror comedy Shaun of the Dead, once again working with Pegg and Wright. In the same year she was also cast as Magda, friend of the titular character, in the Hollywood sequel Bridget Jones’ Diary 2 also called Bridget Jones’ Diary: The Edge of Reason. In 2005 Hynes took the add role in the BBC One sitcom According to Bex (which she thought was so bad that she sacked her agent for putting her up to it)[1], and had a starring role in British comedy Confetti alongside Jimmy Carr, Martin Freeman, and Mark Heap.
In early 2007 she took the lead female role in the film Magicians, starring alongside comic duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb. Later that year she starred in Learners, a comedy drama television movie which she also wrote, on BBC One in November 2007.[2] She also provided the voice of Mafalda Hopkirk in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
She played as Joan Redfern in the 2007 Doctor Who episodes “Human Nature” and “The Family of Blood”. She then appeared in second episode of the story The End of Time playing a character named Verity Newman, who is descended from Joan.[3]. Hynes has appeared in Big Finish’s Eighth Doctor audio adventure “Invaders from Mars”, with her Spaced colleague Simon Pegg.
In 2007 she starred in Son of Rambow, as Jessica Stevenson, and played the part of Mary Proudfoot. Brethren Mother to the star of the film, Bill Milner.

In 2009 she returned to the Royal Court in The Priory, a fresh play by Michael Wynne[6].

Woke up about an hour ago to hear that Sir John Hurt had passed away during the night. I knew he wasn't well back in 2015, prior to this photo being taken, which I'll get onto now. When I had found out John was going to be at Winter London Film and Comic Con back in 2015, I got really excited. Then something happened and Showmasters decided to bring the convention down to my hometown of Brighton! So in a flash, I got online and filled in their volunteer form to help crew for the event, as I don't think I could've been able to afford the £45 photo with John on my own. So yeah, one of the highlights of crewing was getting, in a sense, free photos with the guests (you had some sort of voucher thing that lasted the 2 days which were the equivalent of £40 for each day I think it was, and you can use them for how ever many guests you wanted). A couple of days before the con, I ended up coming down with a cold.... Just what I needed! On the Saturday, I was at the front doors scanning tickets and putting wristbands on con-goers and was freezing my butt off, as we were right by the front doors of the venue! So when it came to the photo op with John, I made sure I had sanitised my hands and made sure that I wouldn't cough or sneeze on him... I really didn't want to pass it onto him as I knew he wasn't well. So, when it came to the shoot, being a crew member I was one of the first few to get my photo, which I don't think the con-goers were pleased about with me pushing in front of them! I was a little nervous, as I'd admired his work, especially in Alien, Harry Potter, Hellboy and BBC'S Merlin series (as he's voiced the Great Dragon), but when he beckoned me over when it was my turn he said "hello my dear. How are you?" So I responded that I was ok after saying hello back and shaking his hand. I know I've met quite a few guests over the years, but John was one of the most loveliest people I've met at a con.
