If I had a nickel for every time I cried over a navy seal dying after telling their best friend (also a navy seal) not to mess it up with their girlfriend I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice

Man in a Suitcase: Day of Execution (1.3, ITC, 1967)
"I feel awful, just awful, leaving you like this."
"Ah, don't feel bad, it's... it's my business."
"Yeah, I know, but -"
"But what?"
"What're you gonna do?"
"I'm doing it."

A complete and total breakdown of my whole name & meanings.
Now before you read, keep in mind that God above gave us our name when creating us. The beauty and significance... I just love it so much. My initials are even next to my twin flame's initials in the alphabet, so I know it's meant to be. I wouldn't change my name for the world. The personality explains so much it's so accurate 😂 would be really cool if I actually was a descendant of a Templar. Our ancestors probably knew eachother in the Crusades if both from nobility 🤯 I think my ancestors would make an actual effort to keep the name if it was ancient. Would explain why I have the worst luck & timing in the world, my connections to 3, 7, 13, & my interest in swords... however disappointed that my family aren't God loving like me, although their choice. I was literally meant to come to God regardless, or as people at church call me Sister Bri, lol. I highly suggest looking up your own name to see if it represents u just as well. All my findings were via Google search engine
Name & meanings
[  ] Briana -
Irish Origin: meaning
“high,” From the high hill,
“noble,” (belonging to a hereditary class with high social or political status; aristocratic. a person of noble rank or birth.)
“exalted.” (of a person or their rank or status. Placed at a high or powerful level; held in high regard.
Combination of the words brgh meaning "high or noble", & ine which translates to "brilliance" or "radiance". Irish name Brian, "strength" or "virtuous." This suggests that individuals with the name Briana possess an inherent inner strength that enables them to overcome challenges and persevere in the face of adversity. "Resolute, strong." Historians believe it first entered the scene in the 16th century with Edmund Spenser's poem "The Faerie Queen."
Welsh Brand: Raven
Norse Brand: Short form of Brenda, which is from the old  meaning "flaming sword" or "torch"
Celtic Origion:  Strong. She ascends.
Honorable and Noble Old Celtic-Gaelic word bright, meaning 'noble,' while 'high' comes from the ancient Celtic element 'bre,' meaning 'hill. prestigious
Hebrew: Daughter of God' Glory of the Lord
Christian Girl Name
Personality of a Briana: hospitable, sentimental, often psychic, sometimes moody. You are ruled by love and the lack of it and feel a need to be encouraged and appreciated. You are intuitive and might be interested in the arts, drama or science. They are courageous and fearless, able to fight great battles on behalf of worthy causes. These personalities will not tolerate injustice. They are compassionate people with a strong sensitivity to others. They are able to both educate and inspire.
Powerful name that exudes confidence and grace.
represents a freedom-loving and free-spirited individual who has an unlimited thirst for change and adventure.
The spiritual meaning of the name Briana is closely associated with the qualities of strength, wisdom, and intuition. Briana embodies the essence of strength, representing a person who possesses inner resilience and the ability to overcome challenges. This name has given you a gregarious personality and a quick-thinking, creative, and versatile nature, but one that is unstable emotionally
[  ] Liegh -
"meadow" "pasture", "field", "clearing", "woodland", "glade", and "delicate" May also derive from the Irish surname Ó Laoidhigh, from laoidh, meaning "poem" or "song."
Gaelic : Poet
Celtic: Healer
English : Sheltered from the storm.
Chinese : Plum.
Irish : Poetic. The narrows; a place where cattle graze; a wood; a church.
Scottish : From a narrow strait; the name of a Scottish region.
Old English: One from the meadow farm.
From the Hebrew Le'ah, probably derived from the identical word le'ah, meaning "weary".
"Woodland" much like the forest that the Star of Hope flees into to escape the beast from devouring her unborn child "The anointed One" in The Book of Revelations
There are many indicators that the name Leigh may be of Jewish origin, emanating from the Jewish communities of Spain and Portugal.
Leah (/ˈliːə/) appears in the Hebrew Bible as one of the two wives of the Biblical patriarch Jacob. Leah was Jacob's first wife, and the older sister of his second (and favored) wife Rachel. She is the mother of Jacob's first son Reuben.
Greek Mythology: as a way to describe the "true love", "there is a divine LEIGH in every woman, and a true LEIGH is and only will be the kind of woman who can ever change the heart of a man, even a god."
The name Heavenleigh originates from the United States and possesses a deep-rooted significance as it symbolizes a celestial existence. It is a compound name, derived from the combination of the English words heaven and leigh. Heaven refers to the ethereal realm where many religious traditions believe the divine resides, while leigh is derived from the Old English word lea meaning meadow or clearing. Together, they create a name that epitomizes a connection to the divine realms and conveys a sense of ethereal beauty. From paradise, From the sky

Spenser Confidential 2
Tumblr media
It has been three years since the release of Spenser Confidential, and fans eagerly await news about its sequel. Despite initial confirmation from filmmaker Peter Berg regarding production updates, the absence of any signs for the sequel's return this year raises questions. As this collaboration marks the fifth between Berg and Mark Wahlberg, speculation arises on whether Netflix is reconsidering its decision. In this section, we will explore the current state of Spenser Confidential 2 and the concerns surrounding its delay.
Filmmaker's Perspective and Critical Reception
The American action comedy film, Spenser Confidential, debuted in 2020, concluding with a cliffhanger. Despite its high-intensity action and a distinctive storyline, the movie received a mixed response, garnering 37% on Rotten Tomatoes and criticism for diverging from Ace Atkins's novel. Filmmaker Peter Berg, however, expresses determination in an interview with Collider, asserting that Spenser Confidential 2 is "definitely" happening. Despite this affirmation, Netflix is yet to make an official announcement. This section delves into the filmmaker's perspective, addressing criticism and fans' hopes for the sequel's return.
Production Insights and Future Outlook
While discussing the potential commencement of Spenser Confidential 2's production, this section reveals insights from filmmaker Peter Berg, who disclosed in 2020 that the scripts were in the early stages. With Brian Helgeland working on the script, the production team aimed to initiate filming by the end of 2021 or early 2022. The uncertainty surrounding the start of filming, Mark Wahlberg's tight schedule, and Berg's commitment to the project are highlighted. Additionally, the section touches upon the expected plot continuation, casting details, and a tentative release timeline for Spenser Confidential 2, potentially in 2024.

2023 Mega-Book Log
Except it only covers the last third of 2023. *disco dances*
So here's a mega-list of all the books I read AND FINISHED in 2023! From September thru December, that is!:
Bamboo Kingdom Book 3: Journey to the Dragon Mountain by Erin Hunter
The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness Book 4: Outcast by Michelle Paver
The Deadlands Book 1: Hunted by Skye Melki-Wegner
Kenny & the Dragon by Tony DiTerlizzi
Lord Brocktree by Brian Jacques
Martin the Warrior by Brian Jacques
A Peculiar Peril by Jeff VanderMeer
Pride Wars Book 1: The Spinner Prince by Matt Laney
The Rise and Reign of Mammals by Steve Brusatte
Safe Area Goražde: The War in Eastern Bosnia 1992-95 by Joe Sacco
Tuki: Fight for Fire by Jeff Smith
Warriors of the Black Shroud by Peter Howe
Here are the books I didn't finish, but enjoyed nevertheless (to some degree at least...):
Chaucer’s People by Liza Picard
The Enchantress (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Book 6) by Michael Scott
The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser
The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin
And of those, here are the books following me into 2024:
The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness Book 5: Oath Breaker by Michelle Paver
In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler’s Berlin by Erik Larson
Kindred: Neanderthal Life, Love, Death, and Art by Rebecca Wragg Sykes
I would not have expected my finish to unfinished ratio to look like that. I always feel like I abandon so many books. So this is uplifting to see! I am a very slow reader, though, in part because I insist on reading five or more books at a time. Greedy greedy...
I'm gonna take the time to just give a quick overview of my year so I can put the 2023 mega-log into context: this year sucked elephant balls for me. Huge, hairy, sweaty, dirty elephant balls. I mean the first eight months of it did; the last four months, when I left my shit job, moved to Virginia, and started this book log, were much better. I've got plans for 2024, some of them book-related, though I feel re-employment will be inevitable. This will, of course, have a significant impact on my reading patterns.
My main reading goal for '24 is to keep up with my Redwall reread. I've also discovered this year that I enjoy having at least one science-y book open at a time...the weeks inbetween Mammals and Kindred felt a little vacant to me. Reading such works is like encountering a hydra: as soon as I finish one, I discover through its bibliography two or three more that catch my interest.
Before I got Fucking Covid (TM) at the beginning of '23, I had plans to read more classic literary works by people of color. Clearly that didn't work out at all. As luck would have it, my friend lent me several books that fit this criteria (over a year ago now.....), so I will definitely be getting to those. Hopefully I can get a few more in besides that.
There are also quite a few books I'd like to buy and own. Most are out of print and will have to be bought secondhand. Certainly not something I should be indulging while unemployed. But wait! What is that shelf of unread books calling to me from the other side of the room? Surely something I can ignore...
Well less writing and more reading!!! I'll see y'all in a few B)

A rough timeline for Clay's life:
March 29, 1989 - Born, likely in VA Beach since his father Ash Spenser was on team 6/DEVGRU. Though it's also possible he was born in the San Diego area. The show isn't really clear about this.
Sometime 1994 - Ash Spenser fully abandons Clay and his mother. For a reason not stated other than "being unable to care for him" Clay is sent to live with his maternal grandparents who are missionaries in Liberia.
1994-200? - Clay lives in Liberia with his missionary grandparents, here he picks up several languages.
2001 - Clay is back in the US with his father Ash and thinks he's going to stay. However, 9/11 happens and Ash sends Clay back to his grandparents, it is assumed his grandparents are still in Liberia.
2001-200? - The show isn't clear when Clay fully returns to the US. I write him as returning to the US as 16/17 years old and speaking to a Navy recruit who sets him on the track of getting his GED and paperwork sorted.
2007 - It can be assumed Clay joined the Navy as soon as he turned 18 years old.
2007-2009 - It takes about two years and some change to become a fully trained SEAL, Clay is a "full fledged" SEAL by the time he's 20 years old
2009-2017 - Clay is on Team 3 based in California. He was Chalk 2, Alpha Platoon by the time he left Team 3.
2017 - Clay starts Green Team (DEVGRU selection) alongside his best friend Brian Armstrong
Sometime During 2017:
Brian Armstrong dies during a training accident. Clay runs a mission with Bravo Team as a "strap" and clashes with pretty much everyone.
late 2017/2018 - Clay is selected by Bravo team and joins them as Bravo 6.

So I’m not up to date with seal team cause I was waiting for the season to finish but I’ve just spoiled 6x10 for myself by watching the final scene.
What the fuck. I’m literally sobbing right now I get that the actor was doing 2 shows we knew that before the season started but why couldn’t he have just left?! When he lost his leg I was like okay this can write him out it’s okay he’s not gonna die only for him to be killed anyway. If I thought Stella being told he was in the hospital by Lisa was gonna destroy me it was nothing against her saying she couldn’t go to the bulkhead cause that’s where she met clay. Fucking hell i have tears streaming down my face this is not okay

x Plus Sized Reader Series
I decided last night I want to do a series that involved a plus sized/mid sized reader, mainly to make myself feel better, there is nothing wrong with a bit of self indulgent writing.
I have put a prompt list below but if you have any other ideas send them in, I don’t just want to focus on the insecurities, I want some where the read is confident about her size as well. I might also take some smut requests.
UPDATE; I have removed some of the prompts as I have had a lot of requests for them. Remember you don’t need to use the prompts, if you have an idea send it in 🥰 let’s blow this series up
I will be taking requests for:
Thor Odinson, Tony Stark, Clay Spenser, Sonny Quinn, Jason Hayes, Jax Teller, Chibs Telford, Brian O’Conner, Dominic Toretto and Harvey Specter
Prompts:
Character A is forced into wearing something tighter than normal, maybe they haven’t had time to do their laundry and it’s the only thing they have left, or it’s a last minute formal event and the only dress they have is something they bought and never felt confident wearing. Character B is there to remind them every step of the way how lovely they are.
“Has it ever occurred to you that I find all of you attractive? That i’m not ignoring anything, not picking and choosing parts of you that I like and ignoring those that I dislike? That I like all of you?”
Character A walks past a mirror and feels unusually (or not) self-conscious, it puts a damper on their mood. Character B takes note and aims to correct this.
Character A decides to wear a swimsuit to the beach/pool for the first time in years, they’re self-conscious but trying not to show it. Character B is just there hyping Character A up, showering them in love and appreciation because damn!
Character B is asked why they’d even be with Character A, derogatory comments are made about Character A’s size. Character B is not having it. This is their baby and they love them.
First time character A gets dressed up for an event and Character B loses his shit with how they look and how confident they are
