i'll preface this by saying @ni0x did A LOT of the heavy lifting. i absolutely loved the idea of them being a cloud of sorts, i just ran with the idea and expanded the winter aesthetic - and of course i made them a lot more villain coded (cough cough).

also i love breze. he's my favourite dog man demon thing snicker bar obsessed siberian husky inspired companion. my beloved. (he was not part of the plan, winter in fact did not ask for it. but i made it cause i'm the bad guy grr)

I am in LOVE. This is BEAUTIFUL. Ksjdksks you have no idea how much I love breze. Look at that little guy. Fren. I'd feed him snicker bars.

Barry was hungry. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, as he could just grab some snacks from the kitchen, but he was watching a movie, and he was comfy. He really, really didn’t want to try and wriggle back to where he was now

“Phantom?” he called out hopefully.

A white glove emerged from the wall behind him, dropping an unopened bag of chips on top of his head. When Barry reached up to grab it, he saw that it was salt and vinegar, which explained why it was still uneaten. Phantom seemed to refuse those chips under all circumstances.

Barry didn’t really get it, because salt and vinegar was awesome, but that didn’t really matter. The point was, Phantom was a great person, even if he probably wasn’t human, and it didn’t matter if Barry hadn’t ever actually seen more of him than his arm, and he had told Barry his name by leaving a piece of paper on a table when he turned his back for three seconds after asking if there was a name for the ‘friend in the walls’, as Wally had called him.

“Thanks, Phantom!” The hand stuck itself out the wall again, forming a thumbs up.

Diana had found a bit of a problem. It wasn’t a big one, and was honestly more of an annoyance than anything, but her paper copy of Earth’s current standing with all known alien civilization was missing. She could get access to it again in a few hours, once the security upgrade to their computers was finished, but she had been intending to review it for a few weeks now and could use the extra time. 

An idea came to her suddenly, and Diana quietly asked, “Phantom? Are you here?” In answer, a chilly breeze blew through her hair. He was, then. “By any chance, would you happen to have seen my copy of th-” Interrupting her, the very papers she was looking for appeared out of nowhere on her desk. A green sticky note was stuck to it, reading ‘This? Sorry for taking it, but it was really interesting’

Diana smiled, hopefully in the ghosts direction. “Yes, that. If you want, I could see if I could get you your own copy?” Another green sticky note appeared on top of the first, this one just oozing the feeling of happiness. ‘YES PLEASE!!!’

Bruce… didn’t really know what to do about the teenager floating just outside the Watchtower. He looked like Phantom, from the few times anyone had actually seen the ghost, and he appeared to be enjoying himself in the vacuum outside instead of dying painfully, which was another point of evidence for that theory. Unsure of what else he could do, he knocked on the window on the off chance that he could get Phantom’s attention that way.

The ghost immediately vanished from view, and a strong, freezing cold breze blew in from the direction of the window Phantom had been outside. Bruce shivered violently from the unexpected chill.

Next time he would leave Phantom alone. Being out in space seemed to make him happy, and it was best not ruin that.

Hetalia characters with dishes typical for their country - part 1 (part 2 here)

Italy: Maritozzo (cream bread) -> This Roman milk bread is said to be dated back to times of Ancient Rome. The baked good is filled with generous amounts of whipped cream and somtimes decorated with fruit or pistachio. Young man also used it in courtship by hiding jewellery or a ring in the filling.

Germany: Breze(l) mit Schokolade (chocolate dipped pretzel) -> A baked pastry with sweet or salty toppings, best known for its distinctive symetrical, knotted shape. Dipped in chocolate the soft pretzel is a popular snack at funfairs and markets, but there are also small, crispy pretzels that are to be eaten like crisps/chips.

Japan: 和菓子 (wagashi; plant based sweet) -> Originally meaning "Japanese confectionery" the term now refers to a traditional dessert made from plant based ingredients. It's artful shapes are influenced by season, nature, or even poetry.

France: Quiche Lorraine -> A savoury tarte traditionally made with a filling of eggs, heavy cream, ham, and bacon. Today cheese is often added, though it is controversial among professionals. (In the drawing there seems to be leek added too which is not mentioned in the original recipe either.)

England: Scotch Egg -> Supposedly inspired by the Indian nargisi koftas, this dish consists of a hard-boiled or soft-boiled egg wrapped in pork (sausage meat) which is coated in breadcrumbs and then baked or deep-fried. Often served in pubs and a popular cold snack as well.

America: Hamburger -> A popular fastfood consisting of a patty (traditionally made from ground beef) between two halfs of a sliced bun. There are countless variations made with all kinds of additional ingredients and condiments, including expensive high-end versions with edible goldflakes.

Russia: пирожки́ (Pirozhki; stuffed bread) -> This popular street food is a baked good made from yeast-dough is typically boat-shaped and filled sweet or savory with meat, vegetables, fruit, jam or tvorog (an Eastern European fermented milk product with a consistency similar to curd cheese)

China: 小籠包 / 小笼包 (Xiaolongbao; steamed bun) -> Steamed dumplings made from leavened or unleavened dough traditionally filled with minced pork, traditionally eaten for breakfast. The top of the dumpling is closed by folding and pinching it. Authentical dumplings have at least 14 folds, preferably 18.

Places speak volumes

This post is nothing but mere brooding upon things at the middle of the night. Nothing theoretical just blabbering about anything that comes in my mind.•́⁠ ⁠ ⁠‿⁠ ⁠,⁠•̀

When I try to ponder on how Lu Guang feels revisting and getting tangaled in the firsts of theirs- first interlocking of the pair of eyes for a solid minute, walking through those alleyways where their fingers brushed against each other for the very first time, those hesitant moments of holding hands and not knowing when to leave, when they crossed the road for the first time holding each other's hand firmly, sharing the same umbrella on a rainy day and extending the umbrella a bit to the other person so that they don't catch cold and not minding himself drenching a bit though, when they first spent an hour in silence for the very first time just soaking the warmth of the others presence- the small moments, those insignificant moments - the dates of which we don't remember but we soak the essence for the very first time. Kneeling down and helping the other to tie the knots of their sneakers without the other ever asking for it. This reminded me of Taylor Swift's song "Cornelia Street"- after loosing Cheng Xiaoshi for the very first time probably Lu Guang also promised to himself "I'd never walk Cornelia Street again".

Some memories are just too hectic to remember frame by frame but too painful to forget. Thus each hand hold is not like the very first time but yet just like that first . I think in our mind we relive the big moments the most - like the first kiss , the first proposal. As we think those intricate memories like holding hands, sharing food from the same plate, folding clothes together( or one messing up and the other setting it up with all their heart)- it is with us forever. So we revisit the the big celebratory moments again and again. When we visit a memory again and again we get akin to that memory and probably in the process overcome the initial shock/ suddenness of the moment, what remains is like a brezee that carries a very specific smell. But I think the less talked about moments make it a bit tough to cope up with or probably we never cope up cause we never want to.
