Caregiver Merida Headcanons (Brave)

Like her father, Merida believes everyone should know how to fight. She teaches you to be the best little warrior you can be.

She also teaches you to shoot, and she beams with pride every time you hit your target.

She tells you all kinds of stories and legends, throwing herself into the role and being extra dramatic.

She’s very strict about doing (what she considers to be) important chores. You have to muck your horse’s stall, polish your sword, restring your bow, etc.

She loves to go hawking and brings you along. It can be a little bit of a bloody affair, but it’s also exciting to watch how the birds hunt.

(And if you get upset, she won’t mock you. She calls you her wee little lamb and lets you sit with the birds while she cleans the kills.)

She’s got a bit of a temper, and sometimes she gets angry during your tantrums. She’s learning to give herself space when she’s angry to avoid making the situation worse.

She takes you riding on Angus. At first it’s terrifying to be up so high and moving so fast, but it’s also thrilling, and soon you grow to love it.

Thanks to the wood-carving witch, she has tons of bear-themed trinkets, statues and toys. The two of you play games with them on rainy days.

She likes to teach you Gaelic curses, much to Elinor’s annoyance and Fergus’s delight.

Here are some imagines for the Mouthwashing crew taking you to Build-A-Bear! They'll pick out a bear for you and help you fill it with love, give it a bath, and even record a special message just for you! This is sickly sweet and incredibly self-indulgent- I have a lot of emotions for this game. I've written fic before, but never on tumblr and never a fluff fic abt a gruesome psychological horror game, so I hope you enjoy ♡♡

Curly

Curly would pick the Happy Hugs Teddy Bear for you!

Okay, really Curly let you pick which bear you wanted. There's no way he could decide out of all the choices there, plus he might not pick the right one and he really wants you to just get one you'll really love- he would definitely overthink things. So of course you had to pick one with the same wavy blonde locks that remind you of him ♡

For his special message, he would say,

"You’re my special girl."

In his sweet and soft voice. If he had his way, he would sing a lullaby, so that when you couldnt sleep at night, you could squeeze your teddy and hear his voice sing you to sleep- but he’s way too shy to do that in public, so he kept it a bit short but sweet.

You both give the heart a kiss and a rub, and Curly helps you fill the bear with just the right amount of stuffing.

He would definitely turn beet red when he realizes how often you're going to be pressing the bear's tummy just to hear his voice... HE'S SHY..!! And now everyone is going to hear him be SOFT OH GOD..

But he melts when you look up at him, so so happy you have a teddy that makes you feel just as safe and loved as he does, so maybe a little bit of embarrassment is worth it

Bonus Idea: If for some reason there was a Post-Crash Curly in this scenario, then when you two cuddle he would reach over and press the bear's tummy whenever he wants to remind you that you're still his special girl, even if he can't say it to you himself ♡

Anya

Anya would pick the Wolf Pup Stuffed Animal for you!

Anya would choose a wolf because she was a wolf girl growing up of its pretty silver color and their connection to the moon ♡ One of her favorite activities is looking up at the stars with you, and now you'll have a soft new friend to join you two.

Her special message to you would be

"I'll always love you, starlight."

She would say in her soft and silky voice, using her special pet name for you to make you smile.

"Let's make sure she's squeaky clean, okay?" She would say, helping you brush the plush's fur and give it a pretend bath, rubbing behind its ears for good measure.

She'd ruffle your hair and tell you what a good job you did!

When you get home, she would spray it with her perfume so it even smells like her ♡ I think she would smell like lavender or clean linen :)

Daisuke

Daisuke would pick the Sun Sparkle Teddy Bear for you!

Daisuke would pick this bear for you because of all the fun colors !!! (And because you said no to his sillier picks... no, you do not want a minions build a bear, Daisuke...)

His special message to you is

"Hi Pookie I just want you to know I think you're like totally the cutest girl ever! And I hope whenever you hug this bear you think of me and that way you won't ever ever have to miss me! And- Oh, the lady is telling me Im running out of ti-"

Even when he isn't trying, Daisuke is always making you laugh.

In fact, when stuffing the bear, he may have tried to overfill it just a tad... It was almost impossible to sew the bear closed.

He would definitely go on a small shopping spree picking out all the outfits your bear will need (Surfing, at the office, fancy dinner, etc. Typical bear activites.) Until you calm him down and pick out just one cute Hawaiian shirt for your new friend to wear :)

Jimmy

Jimmy would pick the Fuzzy Fox Stuffed Animal for you!

I think he would choose this one because of the muted colors. It's not overly bright and cheery but still cute enough for his little girl. (But not cuter than him, right? ... Right?!)

For his voice message, he would say:

"I love you, baby doll..."

in a low, gravelly voice. He’s embarrassed to say anything, to be honest, doubly so when both you and the worker go "Awww!" at his declaration.

He lets you rub the heart and add it to your new friend.

He would tell you you overstuffed him, now he's fat (He's just teasing)

He's always messing with you and playing with you. When you go to give your new friend a bath, he plays with the plushie while you try to bathe it. "I don't want a bath! Noo, I wanna stay dirty! You're drowning me!" He puts on a funny voice, just for you. You're the only one who can get him to lighten up, smile, and be playful like this, especially when you giggle and desperately try to give your mischievous plushie a pretend bath.

this moodboard took me ,, SO stupid long to make & then when i went to save it the FILE CORRUPTED ヽ（≧□≦）ノ luckily all i had to do was go back & save it again but i seriously thought i was gna have to do the entire thing over X-/ regardless i luv how it turned out hehe !!

[💥] ✶ age ranges from super super ityy bitty (infant ages – a year or so) to curious big kid (5 – 8) ; however, she's only ever really little if it's just her & caitlyn as she's the one she feels safest with. if there's another regressor around—like jayce, jinx, or caitlyn if she needs to indulge in her headspace—vi finds herself adopting the big sibby role! she's a big sister at her core & she still adores looking after others, but sometimes she just . . . needs to be looked after, too

[💥] ✶ babysitter jinx who encourages vi's energy to the highest degree & puts mischievous ideas in her mind (nothing dangerous, of course !! silly little pranks n stuff hehe) but is the absolute sweetest when vi is teeny tiny. in the event vi is regressed super super little when jinx is also small, she becomes The Most protective over her baby sister ever

[💥] ✶ playdates w her & jayce always end in two sweaty little ones without fail bc they turn everything into a challenge (“betcha i can climb this tree faster than you!” — “nuh-uh!! i can!!!”) & will run themselves down to the bone by playing elaborate games of pretend

[💥] ✶ weepy lil thing :(( holding in her big feelings for so long when she's big results in lotsa tears when she's small, even if it's over things that aren't a big deal (like snapping a crayon or a stuffie bein put into the wash). usually snuggles from mama cait makes everything alll better tho !!

[💥] ✶ clifford the big red dog & spiderman r some of her favorite favorite things ever !! the very moment she hears the opening theme for clifford, there is nothing more important than gettin in front of the tv (it's one of those tv shows that make her RUSH off the potty the moment the commercial break is over). the only type of bandaids she will accept after pretending to be a silly web-slinging hero are spiderman ones, so cait keeps a ton on deck!

[💥] ✶ also feel like she'd enjoy coyote peterson / brave wilderness too ?? when she's xtra little she watches the general exploration videos, steering clear of the biting / stinging / overall more violent ones cus it upsets her . . . but when she's bigger, oooo she gets soso hype when there's a new bug coyote finds or a snapping turtle he goes head to head with !! lotsa “woaaahh mama did��ja see that??? did’ja, did’ja???? itsa exe– execush’ner wasp ‘nd it– it stinged him!!! lookit, mama, lookit!!!!” & excited bouncing. cait is a big catalyst to this (even tho she does not like bugs) & will egg her on which just gets her more excited !! ＼(≧▽≦)／

[💥] ✶ active but extremely messy kiddo. she jumps in muddy puddles without a care of how soaked her socks will get later ; she makes potions out of grass, sticks, and rocks & shows them to caitlyn with grass stains on her pants ; she climbs trees to sneak up on birds & comes back down with leaf bits all in her hair . . . many, many baths are in her schedule. when she's a bit too little to do all of this, she'll sit near cait with all of her toys scattered around her, constantly bouncing from one to the other to keep her brain stimulated

[💥] ✶ bath time involves either lots of splish-splashin with her sharkie bath toys or dozin in the water till her fingers get all wrinkly. vi has a big appreciation for baths after her time in stillwater as it felt impossible to ever feel fully clean, so after big adventures in the backyard that end with mud splatters on her cheeks and dirt smeared on the palms of her hands, she & cait take extra care in makin sure all the nasties are all gone (*´˘`*)♡

[💥] ✶ loves those temporary tattoo kits ; to her, those are stickers she can stick on anyone that comes near >:-] caitlyn & jinx are her main subjects ; by the end of the day they will all have matching tattoos

[💥] ✶ very very clingy, especially after the war & officially losing most of everyone she has ever loved. while she gets more pouty & huffy when she's older, when she's itty bitty she gets sooo weepy cus her object permanence is just gone. there's a part of vi that's ashamed of how dependant she is on cait—after all, she's very used to taking care of others & taking care of herself, so such a drastic change in lifestyle can be jarring—but with cait, she can work through it ♡

[💥] ✶ being active one minute then having weepy feelings the next, vi takes a lotta naps! she Does Not like being told to take a nap, specially when she's claiming “big girl”–ness (“’m not sleepy!” she'll whine whilst rubbing an eye with a fist . . . yes you are, sweetness. yes you are), but she can forgive cait's insistence if she promises to lay down with her & rawrvioli the dino

Oh boy I couldn't make up my mind between Merida and Belle. Fun fact; a) I used to have that Belle plush (along with some others from the Disney store) and my nan sewed roses along the skirt. And b) when I was younger me and my brother were playing and I wanted to be Merida.. so did he.. he threw a skateboard at my foot because I really wanted to be her, he ended up breaking my toe 💀💀

Okay I'm posting my agere hcs! Being so brave about it!!!!

Emma's an age regressor :3! She regresses to like 2 - 4 years old. She doesn't really have a caregiver since she's shy about it, so before she regresses she preps food and activities for herself so she can be as carefree as possible.

She really, really likes dinosaurs! She collects all kinds of dinosaur toys and stuff. She has picture books too. She also likes playing sorting and ordering games with colored blocks and stuff.

Emma can get really, really worried about the future sometimes, which is why she regresses, because before she lost her family she didn't need to worry. When it was only Jane left, she felt that she didn't need to have a future. But when she had her parents, they believed in her and supported her. They would guide her to whatever future she wanted. She wants to go back to that feeling of security and support when she's feeling afraid.
