“Hehe, you’re so sensitive, Isagi~” Snickering, the dribbler did as requested, turning down the pressure before bringing it back to his boyfriend’s hip. “Is this better?”

Isagi wasn’t flailing from shock any longer, but now he was shaking like a leaf, hands clutched so tightly his knuckles were white. He pressed his face down against the mats as his foot spazzed out behind them. For a second, Bachira thought he was hurting still. He went to remove it when-

“Pfft- gehahahahahahaha! Ahehahahaha! B-Bahahahahhchira pleahahahhahahse! Gehahahaha, it tihihihihickles! It tiihiHIHIHICKLES!” Isagi was laughing, no longer muffled as he arched beneath the mechanical touch. “Tuhuhuhurn it bahahhack uhuhuhup! Pleahahhahase!”

“I think it’d only tickle more if I did that.” Bachira was laughing with him, relieved and excited upon his new discovery. He carried on massaging Isagi’s hips from behind, dragging the massage tool across his lower back in such a way Isagi was practically screeching for mercy. “Tickle tickle tickle, Isagi~ I should take you to one of those fishy spas; I bet you’d be laughing just as much there!”

“Dohohoohn’t meheheehntion thahahhat-EHEHEHEHEH NOHOOHOHO!” Isagi practically howled when Bachira lowered the tempo even more, letting it gently tap along the plane where his back met his side. It felt like a line of mechanical ants creeping up the back of his ribs; tickly and pinchy and strangely relaxing?

Very tickly though. Isagi wasn’t sure how much longer he could take this.

“OHOHOKAKY OHOOHKAY STAHHAP!” He pleaded, tapping out as Bachira pulled off the massager. Gasping for air, he flopped onto his back with a small groan- feeling both very tired and very relaxed. “Eheheheh..thahaht felt lihihke toohohrture.”

“Good torture?” Bachira asked with a wink, watching Isagi snort. He turned his attention to the rest, raising his new weapon of mass mischief high. “Who’s next?”

Silence, then everyone was scattering in different directions. Isagi laughed as he watched them all run, Bachira charging the first person he saw.

“AH! Nohoohoh, dohoohoh’t-whhwhhwhwy mehehehehe?” Chigiri squealed as he was caught. “Whahahait, wahahahit that’s ahahahctually nice! Kehehehep gohoohoing!”

“Pfft- you’re so demanding, Missy!” Bachira giggles mixed with the redheads, the sound making Isagi sleepy and warm. He closed his eyes, dreaming of bumblebees tickling his cheeks with their fuzzy bodies.

Gaz, to be quite honest, is mostly here for the pastries and tea. The magic stuff is just a bonus. As a result, the charms he gets are very simple, mostly cosmetic stuff. Clearing under eye bags, whitening teeth, stuff like that. His relentless flirting does not get him free hand pies, much to his dismay.

Soap is on that painkiller pastry grindset. He has various chronic pains that you have spells to soothe in the form of blueberry and cheese danishes. And he probably gets a horrifically sweet drink with whatever the magic equivalent of adderall is. He dabbles in apothecary himself, so he likes to flirt by talking shop with you about potions and reagents.

Ghost comes in like clockwork. Right before closing every day that you’re open. Gets a sleepy time tea and whatever pastry has got the dreamcatcher spell in it. Always overpays and refuses to take any change. Every time he casually reminds you that the offer for marriage is still open, but you’re not yet entirely convinced it’s not just a ploy to have a limitless supply of your tea.

Price is not here for the pastry or the magic— he’s here to wife you the fuck up, to be honest. He sees that you’re hardworking and talented as well as stunning. In addition, he thinks you should come work in the palace to provide your services to the royal guard, rather than running this tiny shop on a side street in town. So he’s trying to sweep you up on two fronts.

König gets the same kind of spells as most knights— treats to soothe various pains and accelerate healing, drinks that encourage pleasant dreams. His most frequent orders are for fruit tarts that increase luck and fortune— sometimes he gets the ones for coming battles, but mostly he gets the ones that are meant to bring luck in matters of the heart. He’s desperately hoping you’ll get the hint soon.

Nik travels vast distances often, and is one of your primary suppliers for ingredients. He’s guilty of regularly offering steep discounts in exchange for kisses (you’ve limited it to just the cheek). He also likes to remind you that you wouldn’t have to compensate him at all if this were more of a family business between you two, yes?

The Human Resources Mod is all about giving your sims a simple, day-to-day career that invokes domesticated realism. The type of sims that would love this career are ones that enjoy a career driven yet family-oriented role. It dabbles in you getting your Logic, Charisma & a little bit of Writing skills up with realistic pay, and bonuses after each level is completion. You'll have to do things like look up HIPPA Policies, Plan Social Events & Practice Your Communication skills with other sims. Once you make it to HR Manager you will work longer days but only a few times a week! So enough free time for family-oriented sims.

This is a simple rabbit hole career that sends your sims off to work in a position that allows them to wear office wear! CONCEPT DOODLES for an AU I dabbled in with a few friends after the winter king episode but kinda forgot about after the Fionna and Cake finale... I decided to revisit it and explore a little more after coming to terms with everything LOL... So, it's another "Winter King doesn't die immediately after his crown gets nuked" AU, but THIS TIME he's just dying really slowly (like Simon in the Betty episode) and ALSO joins Fionna, Cake, and Simon on their search for magic crowns. There's no logic behind this tbh, we just wanted to put him through The Horrors. And make them all friends. But mostly The Horrors. :) (he only gets to live as a treat, because I think he's funny).

Full disclosure, I've only been reading danmei since May. Also, I only read official translations. Others may be able to give a wider range.

But since you asked so nicely, let's go!

1) Yuwu/Remnants of Filth

Obviously, my number 1 is going to be the danmei I spend 80% of my time here trying to convince people to read.

Yuwu is a gift for fans of angst, literally opens with the MC getting stabbed in the heart and Meatbun doesn't let up from there.

Fun fact - the only Meatbun without non-con elements in the primary ship.

Sad fact - it also lacks her usual comedy.

Why I love it: Mo Xi, my princess, genuinely the saddest boy in all of danmei. I'm ridiculously invested in Ximang's quest for happiness.

2) 2ha/Erha/The Husky and his White Cat Shizun

At it's heart (at least to where the official translations are up to) 2ha is a romantic comedy. Tropes you may have found in other danmei hit so good (ghost weddings and shizun fucking).

Fun fact - Has my favourite confession scene out of all danmei I've read.

Sad fact - Being Meatbun's most popular work, you can basically collect spoilers like pokemon cards. Not even ao3 tags are safe.

Why I love it - Meatbun's smut writing is S tier and Mo Ran is one of my favourite protaganists... although he has some competition.

3) Ballad of Sword and Wine

I feel like I need to formally apologise for sleeping on this series after reading the first volume. It’s so, so juicy! Obsessed with the character dynamics and it’s always a winner when the main couple starts to dabble with each other in the first volume. It’s not Meatbun levels of smut peddling but I appreciate Tang Jiu Qing’s hustle. If you love courtly politics, graphic descriptions of violence and the most insane levels of sexual tension you will ever read. You need this danmei in your life.

Fun fact - I am as obsessed with Cezhou as Xiao Chiye is with the nape of Shen Lanzhou’s neck.

Sad fact - The sheer amount of characters will drive you insane.

4) To Rule in a Turbulent World

Enter You Miao! His introduction made me fall in love with him just as fast as I did Mo Ran! There's a reason everyone raves about chapter 3. Hilarious, horny and wholesome. The side characters are amazing, the main couple is adorable and it's giving hints of political powerplays. Also the first danmei I've read that seems to really deliver when it comes to skinship. The main couple literally can't keep their hands to themselves.

Fun fact - I'm only 50% through but I am buying every single Fei Tian Ye Xiang 7 seas is about to release day 1.

Sad fact - there's no pictures. Also I'm not sure how angsty it's going to get.

Bonus: For the toxic yaoi fan in your life

Meatbun's most unhinged work. She's peddling all the toxic smut fans of bl mangas and manhwas will be familiar with. Even though it's modern it made me nostalgic for that reason. He Yu is a clown and I adore him. Meatbun is airing all her kinks with this one and I'm not mad about it.

Fun fact- This is the first modern danmei I've read. Also, one of the more fun uses of the straight man trope I've read.

Sad fact - Vol 3 cliffhanger!

Why I love it - It's just pure Meatbun chaos.

I’ve put a little too much thought into atla slang for gay people tonight so here’s this.

Kyoshi Island:

Speaks about sexuality openly on Kyoshi Island but knows to be more careful around outsiders.

“Is she, you know…a student of Rangi?” (gay/lesbian)

“No. But she does follow in the footsteps of Avatar Kyoshi. She prefers the versatility of the fan over the sword or the shield.” (bi)

Water Tribe:

More “traditional” than the other nations so it’s a bit more subtle and reliant on accompanying eyebrow movements, hand gestures, and tone of voice.

“He’d rather go sailing than stay in the village.” (mlm)

“She’s shown some interest in ice fishing.” (sapphic)

“I personally prefer to fish in the same waters as Avatar Kuruk.” (bi)

“He’d rather spend the winter months alone.” (ace)

Earth Kingdom:

“Are you a member of the Flying Opera Company?” (lgbt+)

No one, including the Kyoshi Islanders are aware of the origins of this particular phrase

Fire Nation:

“I’ve dabbled in dragon’s fire before.” (This phrase specifically would be something like ‘I did some experimenting in college’ but the reference to dragon’s fire/breath would mean lgbt+)

“He wears a crown of fire lilies.” (lgbt+)

Even before the hundred year war they were one of the more intolerant of the nations (based on the Kyoshi novels) and they probably only got worse during the hundred year war. I’m sure they would’ve come up with more slang by the time we get to Korra’s time but I’m out of ideas for the Fire Nation.

Air Nomads:

As they are totally open and accepting to all genders and sexualities they wouldn’t feel the need for coming up with specific labels, let alone weird secret codes and slang. When nomads begin exploring the world and start to learn about the other nation’s ideologies and slang and everything they’re always confused but respects the other nation’s traditions and cultures.

Even more open about gender and sexuality than Kyoshi Islanders. They’re super casual and blunt about it without being disrespectful but also not trying to be respectful because why would anyone be disrespectful about this? There’s a polycule consisting of roughly ten people who all connected through an asexual tribe member that each member of the polycule has a qpr with. Darryl over there is interested in folks of all sorts. His spouse is all the genders. Not to be confused with Jim over there who is none of the genders. Not to be confused with Junjun who is the third gender… (etc)

I didn’t do a big deep dive into each nation’s culture and history. This is just from the top of my head and is just for fun. Let me know if you guys have any other ideas!

Waves my hand. Yo Undertale fandom. I'm making a hot take real fast bc I'm realizing something. Let's STOP saying Horror would have a food based job. Let's STOP saying the guy with the very obvious eating disorder and manic behavior would be able to work with humans. This includes cooking when under Nightmare's control. Horror very obviously has an eating disorder. He'd NOT be able to handle a job like that, even with years of therapy and help. He's greatly unstable around food and, ESPECIALLY humans. He would not be able to handle the smells and temptations. He fits more specifically for a job like a night guard, more specifically something like a museum. Most often they are empty and quiet. Not much happens, so very unlikely for him to be triggered by anything. He'd LOVE to look around at the exhibits as he makes rounds, learning new things he can go back to the others babbling about in the morning when he leaves. Following this, I'm going to go at the others of the MTT (+ Nightmare) because frankly the fandom sucks nards at deciding jobs. I believe Killer would work at Ccino's cafe, introducing cats to it. Ccino would handle the cafe in general, while Killer handles the cats as they are his cats. Plus a bonus, he brings extras from the cafe back for everyone at Nightmare's castle. If a customer gets all up in Ccino's face, Killer would get their ass to back down. He's the cat care, AND customer support. Dust is unemployed. Not only because of depression, mania, and the whole schitzo-ghost brother thing. Well actually because of that. He'd not be able to work because of it. Getting work with severe mental issues like that, and the fact Dust probably has bad mobility because of the overbearing amount of power in his body, is near impossible. Nightmare is a tricky case, what with many jumping to mafia boss of some sort. But that is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS to ALL of his subordinates. He'd fit more to be dabbling in black market products, or just illegal things in general rather than mafia shit. I'm not including Cross here bc I don't like Cross and he's not rlly one of Nightmare's subordinates tbh. Keep in mind, these are all my opinions. My headcanons. You are allowed to think what you will, this is somewhat me venting outish my own thoughts and what I think they'd do.

So !! These freaks /aff are both youtubers :3, With the lamb being an Arg focused channel (they are hyperfixated on them) and the Goat is a true crime youtuber, sometimes dabbles in some urban explorer shit :3, with her solving open cases, at the beginning to be helpuf and after growing in size to stroke her ego (She's good at it but it's not really out of the kindness of her heart).

They are roomates and definitely not in love with each other and mutually pining

The Lamb is really not good at social ques (however its spelt Im sorry i Do not care) while the Goat ir Really good at reading them, to the point of almost always passing as allistic irl (deffo not the case online)

Goatthew (the goat's name) is also REALLY good at generally reading people and often reads into the criminals she covers and makes fun of them?? Tears apart their strategies and talks about how she would've done it better And makes it pass as a joke but she so isn't joking, she is just better. And Ludo is INTO that bcs they are Freaky and love themselves a woman that can be social for them. And Goatthew WILL be a social shield for them when necessary bcs she's gay or smth.

+ Bonus, Goatthew is a light mode user for the bit, whilst Ludo is a chronical dark mode user, which is really funny when stuff like this happens

The emeralds are definitely the group that everyone fearfully avoids as much as possible

And not because they're popular or violent, they're just weird to the point of it being unsettling to anyone who knows them. They're just sort of scary and it's not because they try to be, they just are. They're so used to each other that they don't even realise.

People won't think twice about them at first because they're just like any other random friend group but the second you've sat and actually paid attention to them you're avoiding them like the plague. They don't typically have many other close friends outside of their group because people are too wary of them so they've sort of become one group so close-knit that seem to be on the same brainlength permanently.

Like you've got-

Dorcas: who can modify almost any spell to be ten times as powerful as usual. She won't use them against people but she'll make her talent known by practicing and performing spells with her friends where others can see. To her she's just practicing her skill and to her friends it's just 'normal cassie' but it scares the shit out of most people who see it. Even teachers are startled at her skill and power levels. She is also fiercely protective of her group and her younger sister. Not that anyone would dare try anything after seeing how strong her channeling of magic is. She has all the potential to be a popular girl but everyone's fear of her power and her loyalty to her existing friends hold her back from that.

Barty: who is so much of a genius he could outsmart the minister if he wanted. He's clever and a little intimidating but also really good at hiding information about himself. Ask ten different people what he's like and you'll get ten different answers. Nobody ever knows what he's really thinking except apparently his own group. He has ways of having an hour long conversation and extracting your entire life story while sharing nothing in return. He'll sometimes get a small glint in his eye that only his friends seem to understand as a strange mix between inspiration and anger. To an outsider it just looks strange.

Evan: has on multiple occasions set people's essays on fire for talking shit about his friends and always gets away with it through the word of one of his groups. He managed to get an in with snape's gang, the popular Ravenclaws in the year below and the entire Hufflepuff quidditch team. Everyone knows he doesn't actually like any of them- he only truly likes his main group (the emeralds)- but nobody can figure out why he likes to float around and watch others. In reality he just likes knowing how people's minds and dynamics work. Getting people to defend him if he faces trouble is just a bonus

Regulus: he is the confusing one. He's quiet and isn't easily noticed if you aren't paying close attention. But he's smart. Not Barty's level of academic genius, he's a very logical person. He can be given one small piece of information and do almost anything with it, draw any conclusion. He can seemingly communicate a train of thought with his friends just by looking at them to the point where there are rumours of him being a legilimens. He gives the feeling of knowing more than he lets on. To his friends, despite his quietness he is warm and sensitive but where they get that impression from is anybody's guess.

Pandora: who's just on such another level of morbid that people will be scared to whisper about her behind her back incase she or one of the other's hear them. She carries small, probably haunted porcelain dolls with her at all times, which are apparently gifts to her from some of the forest-folk during one of her many visits to the forbidden forest. She is also known to dabble in necromancy, particularly regarding animals. She meddles a lot with whatever niche types of magic she can find with little guidance, which many find scary. She's very empathetic but her curiosity in the morbid only scares people off. She's usually kind to anybody she comes across but that won't stop them from being wary and staying away.

And in their heads they're just another normal group who hang out a lot, understand each other, are liked by the teachers, and help new first years when they get lost. But to the rest of the people in their year as well as the year above and below, they're insane.

You know I have come to the realization that this is a thing on which I would like to be clear, as a reasonably prolific writer of fanfic with a range of readers who all have very different levels of familiarity with the various canons I have dabbled in: I love a lot of things about [ insert canon here ] and I definitely DO have certain personal pet peeves in regards to "yeah this person definitely didn't read/watch/even-briefly-skim anything outside of fandom" interpretations that I find particularly slanderous or are just Not My Vibe or things like that which I personally just can't get into or enjoy. Like, things that are just not to my taste, you know?

But also, fuck it, canon is a suggestion and fandom's only actual "rules" are "try not to be an entitled prick or actively hateful", as far as I'm concerned. No, no one has to do the homework just to write/draw/meta/post about something they're getting something out of. I personally am too dang old to do any more of the homework than I want to and I am sure as heck not gonna hold anyone else to that standard either.

Imo there is just no reason whatsoever to ever be upset about MORE people getting involved in the fun thing and enjoying themselves with it, especially when we can all zero-effort back-button out of anything we don’t like. I don't care if they're wrong about [ insert character here ]!! I mean, I do, I very much do, it makes my 'tisms personally insane, but unless someone's wrong in like a hateful/sexist/racist/bigoted way, that's their business, not anybody else's! Let 'em cook, people! We don't get better content in our fandoms by getting publicly judgy about and way too publicly INVESTED in how other people in it have fun. Actually, all we get that way is LESS content. Like so, so much less.

Look, it's a process, I'm personally still working on it myself. There's def stuff that bothers or pet-peeves me, and stuff I just gotta skate past without engaging. I just think keeping a little more perspective helps, in these situations.

Also, not telling people things like "hey if you don't read literal DECADES' worth of MULTIPLE monthly-release comics and all the relevant crossovers and events/watch every single episode and movie released since the seventies/listen to all the bonus episodes of this already-over-one-hundred-hours podcast, you don't belong here" helps. Also that. Definitely that.

hihi!! was bored yesterday, scrolling around tumblr, and i saw @s33r-of-pyr3's post sharing a recreation of the wild life snail model, and i figured– hey, why not make some skyblock kingdom snails?

i'm really happy with how these all turned out!! i've dabbled with editing textures in blockbench before, but this was a nice opportunity to practice some more! it was also interesting trying to figure out how to work in some details with this small a canvas,, mdnkxn– these guys might be a bit more detailed than the ones over on wild life, but. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
