So since you plan on keeping leopardstar as a thistlelaw supporter are you planning on doing the same with blackstar? I'd personally argue he was worse in a much more lifelong way than leopard was so I'd figure, but who knows.
He WAS much worse, there's no argument back from me here lmao. Early on in the rewrite I was deciding on which one of them was going to have a long redemption arc, and which one of them was going to going to get merc'd. One could repent; but not both.
I decided that Leopardstar fit MUCH better as the one who gets merc'd, for a few reasons;
Her actions in TNP are more consistent as someone who supports Thistle Law. ShadowClan's just uncooperative, but RiverClan is an active danger because of Sunningrocks. She was even happy to watch the other Clans get driven out, allowing Hawkfrost to say that they should hurry up and get gone so RiverClan can have more land.
Hawkfrost is not born evil, so that has to come from somewhere. And his story is now that he was failed by RiverClan. Leaving Leopardstar out of that just to arbitrarily say She's Sorry Now makes a less coherent Bonefall TNP and implies nothing could be done to prevent Hawkfrost's radicalization, because having a completely repentant leader wouldn't have changed this. Characters are, at the end of the day, a writer's tools.
ShadowClan's proximity to ProtagonistClan makes it much easier to show Blackstar's redemption. I did fix the Lake Map so that RiverClan isn't IMPOSSIBLY far away, but because ShadowClan is a major neighbor in Po3, I have more opportunities to display how Bonefall Blackstar is different from Canon Blackstar, including that he punishes the patrol who watched Berrykit suffer. (letting shadowclan not be EvilClan in the rewrite was a bonus)
And her killing at Mistyfoot's claws is the Thesis of Bonefall TNP; that Thistle Law will not go away on its own, and that these ideas do not die unless they are killed.
So Blackstar goes on a long journey for redemption, and Leopardstar dies at the end of Bonefall TNP. Change or die. No point in having the same arc for two characters.
(Snipped quote from a very long post I made on Mistystar in general below the cut)
""...Mistystar’s killing of Leopardstar, I will argue, is the thesis of Hawkfrost’s arc in Bonefall TNP
RiverClan, in canon, never has a reckoning with the fact that they allowed Tigerstar to take over. They rapidly pivot Leopardstar and RiverClan as a whole to be regretful of the choice without showing ANY remnant supporters, refutation of the ideology, or even any sympathy for Feathertail’s retconned trauma in Shadow In RiverClan, a book I’ve spoken about strongly disliking.
Making Leopardstar’s character consistent, and fixing Shadow in RiverClan, preventing this ridiculous canonical post-hoc retcon that they’re just fine after TPB, is something I care immensely about.
So there is no situation anymore where Mistyfoot can just sit back and follow the code until the Clan stops following Thistle Law. You can’t appease fascists. These ideas do not die unless they are killed.
And TNP is now a story about the Tigerkin, split between their perspectives. As you know, Hawkfrost’s arc is that he is failed by RiverClan, becoming the inheritor of an ideology that should have been buried before he was born. She thinks that with his death things can maybe go back to normal... but it doesn’t. Because Hawkfrost was not the problem. He was a victim just as much as he was a perpetrator.
Mistyfoot kills Leopardstar, a thing that should have been done a long time ago, and rules the Clan in a way as to limit the influence of Thistle Law. As much as she can, she tries to prevent what happened to Hawkfrost from ever happening again, truly wrapping up his story for Bonefall TNP.""

Misty deserves to go ape shit. Let her do murder.
I’m a fan of Misty drowning Leopardstar when they get to the lake. After all the shit Leopardstar did and let happen even after Tigerclan disbanded, Misty won’t let it blow a second time, or with a stone for the symbolism (can you tell Bonefall has infected me?)
I refuse to believe she didn’t take at least one of Blackstar’s lives and there’s no quotes in canon saying otherwise so I’m right by default :)
Dueling him wasn’t a request, it was her right in her mind and she dared anyone to deny her rights again.
you 🤝 me
pro misty going murder mode
Also BIG yeah on that last point. He executed her brother, he wouldn’t be able to show his face if he denied her right to retribution. You have nine lives and yet you deserve none of them, nine lives but I’ll take one and may you never forget it.
#deer rambles#giggling and kicking my feet thinking about cat fuels#i mentioned it in my tags but i do love bonefall’s post tpb rc political climate#how the ideology of Tigerstar still lingers and Leopardstar only allows it to fester#and it posits the solution when this happen: rip out the weed#leopardstar wasn’t going to risk losing her community for her attitude#she was the one who was going to make it spread

hey guys, its me! alvin from alvin and the chipmunks!
Scourge's tooth/claw collar as a lich
ungodly amount of incoherence below
what if he didnt fill his collar with teeth and claws, but rather found it in a dumpster, or maybe even out in the forest after the near death tigerpaw encounter?
the soul inside it is like One-eye, probably, and he kinda possesses Scourge n all that
the collar got passed down from villain to villain (not like every single one BOOO tom you dont get to have it clear sky you dont get to have it sorry tigerstar doesnt get to have it either) like to Star Flower or Slash, (its an au i make the rules star flower EVIL bonefall style) then she loses it somehow and its buried in the forest territory, then its found by scourge, then he dies, it gets buried again, then Sol finds it
HOWEVER do we know the hit series Wings of Fire and the sandwing eye of onyx thing? whoever isnt worthy of it simply DIES.
So, Sol learns about it via Midnight (why would you tell him abt that girl maybe she can be like morally grey here thatd be cool), he goes on a short quest, BOTTE happens because of the tooth collar because Sol tells blackstar about it and its like "whatever u say bookie". Sol gets his paws on it, but the collar decides hes not worthy and thats his grand exit (dies)
then finally, darktail gets it. he got info about it from a shadowclanner turn one of his rogues. now he has the evil power collar and that whole arc happens, and i think the sisters should finally put an end to it, burying it somewhere only they know of. and thats the end of that.
me and my AU's. sighs.

Are you going to have Blackstar honor sire anyone?
Nope! There's just no need. His sister Fernshade and her mate Wolfstep make it to the Lake and have another litter.
Ivytail is CONFIRMED as one of them; I may add more if I need genetic diversity.
Wolfstep and Fernshade are ridiculously clean because I undid Fernshade's dad Blizzardstorm having two mates, AND moved Wolfstep out of the Toadnettlepool Polycule kids.
Featherstorm's kids are all Queen’s Rights kittens. Wolfstep and Foxheart come from Mousewing, who is a descendant of Houndstar (also Wolf might become a CHILD of Foxheart because timeline)
So Blackstar will never ever have direct offspring in any way, shape, or form.
#It's popular fanon that Rowanclaw was a secret BlackRusset kid but in this rewrite he is a Brokenstar kit with Newtspeck#His brother is Littlecloud#And they ARE from the Toadnettlepool Polycule#ShadowClan Family Tree#Bonefall Rewrite#Bonefall Blackstar

im sure youve discussed this before but what is blackstar like as a leader in bb? i really like what ive seen about your shadowclan and i loved your wildfur post and the tidbit of blackstar carrying wildfur during the mountain climb was my favorite
So early on, I was sitting with Leopardstar and Blackstar, deciding the stories I would tell for them. I agree in-canon Blackstar is a lot worse, but in my TNP rework I realized I had a GREAT story to tell about about Leopardstar.
So, I decided to tell a very long redemption arc with Blackstar, and the importance of preventing Thistle Law from ever taking root ever again with Leopardstar.
Blackstar is a character driven by his guilt, and desire to atone for what he's done. The story begins with his first visit to the Moonstone.
StarClan does not give him all his lives at once. He has trials over many years to earn them. This is symbolized by him being born with a black executioner's hood over his head, and over many years of pressing his nose to the stone and pool, it erodes away from his nose creeping up.
By the time he earns his last one, there's only a black thread across his chest holding the 'hood' together. It snaps when he earns the last one-- from Russetfur.
Russetfur, who was his lifelong best friend, soulmate, and deputy. She mattered more to him than anything else in the world. EVERYTHING he did was for her, and for the people like her, the cats he would have discarded or even killed during his time in TigerClan.
They had a similar sense of humor; dry and sardonic. They mutually FLIPPED their shit at the cats who let Berrynose writhe in that fox trap, and even came up with a very embarrassing punishment together.
Losing her was devastating. It now comes AFTER the Eclipse battle, too, during the reign of Bramblestar. It is the moment that causes him to lapse and be open to Sol's influence. In the meanwhile, Ratscar, Redwillow, and Applefur take control of the Clan to further the agenda of the Dark Forest.
Their dark plans are thwarted when ShadowClan begs Blackstar to come home and rule his Clan. No trickery, no guilt, just love.
He loses his second-to-last life in the Great Battle, with a 2-vs-1 battle. Him and Iceheart against Tigerstar.
His last life is spent guiding his Clan through the Great Storm just after the battle, as ThunderClan undergoes a reduxed super edition called ThunderClan's Tempest, but I'm going to have him pass away peacefully instead of drowning.

maybe when jayfeather brings down the starclan warriors during battle it can be like a meteor shower in the background or something to symbolize that
Oh shit that's cool as hell
Jayf is going to bring in StarClan near the end of the battle, that'll make a really neat backdrop weather event to show "battle's over, Dark Forest's shot at winning is over, this is Tigerstar's last stand and he's going out fighting"
#Picture it:#Blue and purple galactic sky full of so many stars they leave claws streaks in the night#StarClan warriors pouring in along their loved ones and the last of Tigerstar's demons are fleeing#Iceheart trampled and dying to the left. Blackstar losing a life on the right#Tigerstar descending into shouting about how if he can't win he'll rip through every cat from here to the sunrise#And that's when Firestar steps in#''How about you get a life'' LMAO#Bonefall OotS#Bonefall Rewrite

Speaking of family trees, what are your plans for ShadowClans? If memory serves, it's unfixable right?
Yep. ShadowClan's needs to be completely thrown out, even I am not capable of fixing it.
I'll be posting a better diagnosis of it when we get there, but it's COMPLETELY fucked. A total dead-end. Half of the Clan is descended from Snowbird. They killed Strikestone, so the only way the Tigerfam continues is DIRECTLY from tigerHeartstar with Crowfrost's contributions extinct. Antfur got killed unceremoniously.
But wait! There's more!
Modern ShadowClan has a Missing Generation Fog between the Forest and Lake, which only Rowanclaw crossed. So if you make a family tree tracking the Toadnettlepool polycule, or Yellowfang’s family, or Blackstar, throw it out. You don't even use it.
And when it IS relevant? Like for Ivytail, who is said to be Blackstar's niece in the Missing Kits content? No descendants. There is only Snowbird. SnowbirdClan.
Snowkin, Tigerkin, and then there's Slate/Cinnamon and Stonewing/Mate (cant remember his mate's name off the top of my head) who are *couples* desperately trying to fix the slow-moving trainwreck that is ShadowClan's inevitable inbreeding problem.
So, bottom line is, not even Bonefall can fix it. I'm gonna take a hammer to the Snowbird family when we get there, BB!ShadowClan allegiences are going to look significantly different from canon.

Bonefall TNP: Allegiances
For @stickysodaz who asked about it and I'm still working on the main notes, so, a gift!
This is the rough draft list for the cats alive at the exact moment that TNP opens up. If I missed anyone, you guys lemmie know all right?
(And a gentle wink that I can be convinced into saving dead characters or going in interesting new directions for them if you've got a cool suggestion, ESPECIALLY in the Clans that aren't ThunderClan.)
Also as a side note; dividing up the warriors into 3 further ranks is super super helpful for making a large Clan look smaller.
Also also also this may change in the future when I really jam my paws into reworking the family tree for other Clans at this point; ESPECIALLY for Shadow and River. So just super-duper keep it in mind this is a roughie.
BONEFALL TNP: MIDNIGHT
ThunderClan
Leadership
Leader: Firestar Deputy: Graystripe Cleric: Cinderpelt + Leafstripe
Elders (Rank above warriors.)
Speckletail Dappletail Frostfur Longtail (Ex-Deputy)
Senior Warriors (At least 4 years AND has had or is training an apprentice.)
Mousefur + Shrewpaw Goldenflower + Squirrelpaw Dustpelt Sandstorm + Sorrelpaw (Training delayed due to injury) Cricketclaw
Warriors (not considered senior yet, either through young age or lack of mentorship experience)
Willowpelt Brackenfur + Whitepaw Thornclaw + Spiderpaw Brightheart Cloudtail Ferncloud (Kits: Birchkit, Hollykit, Larchkit.) Elderberry Young Warriors (Around 2 years or less; ineligible for mentorship due to age or inexperience)
Brambleclaw Ashfur Rainwhisker Sootfur
(Closing note jumble: Dustpelt was the mentor of Rainwhisker. Cloudtail was the mentor of Ashfur. Sootfur's training was completed by Cricketclaw after Longtail's blinding. Whitepaw is deaf. Sorrelpaw has epilepsy. Squirrelpaw has failed two assessments.)
RiverClan (click for family tree)
As you may know from how I've spoken about the thesis of Bonefall TNP, and the redux, The Tiger in RiverClan, RiverClan being politically divided is a massive plot point. I've decided to mark a cat's political leaning with T for Thistle Law, X for Traditionalism, and F for Fire Alone.
Leadership
Leader: Leopardstar T Deputy: Mistyfoot X Cleric: Mudfur F + Mothwing
Elders (Rank above warriors.)
Ivytuft T Loudbelly F Voleclaw T Dawnbright X
Senior Warriors (At least 4 years AND has had or is training an apprentice.)
Carpwhisker X (Kit save! Sister of Leopardstar) Blackclaw T + Pinepaw Skyheart T (Is pregnant right now) Reedtail T + Volepaw Sedgecreek F Duckfur X Warriors (not considered senior yet, either through young age or lack of mentorship experience) Frogleap F Mosspelt F (Kits: Stonekit and Willowkit) Dawnflower F Greenflower T + Duskpaw Shadepelt X (Kits: Pouncekit and Graykit, soon to be apprenticed) Heavystep T + Splashpaw Grasswhisker X Vixenleap T + Icepaw
Young Warriors (Around 2 years or less; ineligible for mentorship due to age or inexperience)
Feathertail F Stormfur F Hawkfrost T Beechfur X Swallowtail X Reedwhisker X (Training endlessly delayed because of the horrors, older than Feather and Storm)
(Closing note jumble: Note how Leopardstar is not assigning apprentices to Fire Alone cats. Loudbelly is diabetic.)
ShadowClan
Leadership
Leader: Blackstar Deputy: Russetfur Cleric: Littlecloud
Elders (Rank above warriors.)
Runningnose Wildfur Boulder
Senior Warriors (At least 4 years AND has had or is training an apprentice.)
Ratscar Tangleburr + Kinkpaw Wolfstep Fernshade Oakfur + Smokepaw Whitewater
Warriors (not considered senior yet, either through young age or lack of mentorship experience)
Stumptail Dawncloud Wetfoot Nightwhisper Tallpoppy (Kits: Marshkit, Toadkit, Applekit) Rowanclaw + Talonpaw Volewhisper Nightwing + Snakepaw
Young Warriors (Around 2 years or less; ineligible for mentorship due to age or inexperience)
Cedarheart Tawnypelt Snowbird
(Closing note jumble: This Clan skews young because of Runningnose's plague stunt back in TPB. Snake, Smoke, and Talon are all unrelated.)
WindClan
Leadership
Leader: Tallstar Deputy: Mudclaw Cleric: Barkface
Elders (Rank above warriors.)
Oatwhisker Stagleap Rushtail
Senior Warriors (At least 4 years AND has had or is training an apprentice.)
Ashfoot Darkfoot Torear + Owlpaw Morningflower + Brushpaw (Ex-BloodClan) Onewhisker Robinflight + Thistlepaw Whiskernose Thrushwing (Kits: Leafkit, Dewkit)
Warriors (not considered senior yet, either through young age or lack of mentorship experience)
Whitetail Flytail (Dragged down from another litter) Webfoot + Snappaw (Ex-BloodClan) Runningbrook Nightcloud + Weaselpaw
Young Warriors (Around 2 years or less; ineligible for mentorship due to age or inexperience)
Crowfoot Gorsetail Willowclaw
(Closing note jumble: Like ShadowClan, this Clan skews young. They're just now really starting to recover from the WindClan Massacre of TPB.)
BloodClan
Leadership
Leader: Claw Subordinate: Fury Head Solver: Bailey
Traders (Interact with Clan cats on a regular basis)
Scourge (Ex-leader, spends a lot of time in ThunderClan) Brushpaw (Formerly Leo, joining WindClan) Snappaw (Formerly Snapper, joining WindClan) Snipe Jag (Formerly Jaggedtooth) Cody
Problems (Similar to Warriors)
Melody Willie Minty (Kits: Snowflake, Cloudy, Sniff, Icicle) Tess Ice
Solvers (Cats who do intellectual work)
Brick (Formerly head solver) Gremlin (Kits: Honeysuckle) Pounce Snake (Loose retirement; injuries from battle) Coal
(Closing note jumble: BloodClan sending aid completely replaces Cody's time in ThunderClan; she has been reduced to a cameo. Brushpaw and Snappaw are adult apprentices; Snapper has been woman-beamed.)
Others
Barn Cats
Barley Junior (Barley Senior peacefully passed away just a month ago.) Ravenpaw Violet Junior
Cats living elsewhere
Smoke Darkkit Millie
#Bonefall TNP#Bonefall Allegiances#Bonefall Rewrite#AGAIN VERY SUBJECT TO CHANGE#Family Tree will always come first so these cats could get massively shuffled around#ThunderClan and BloodClan are super solid though#I FORGOT WHISKERNOSE AND NIGHTWHISPER they have been added#April update: RC has been solidified

Firestar seems like he'd like Aftergatherings when he was an apprentice and warrior, but since it's kind of defined by not having the leaders' watchful eyes, is it something he misses when he becomes leader? Or does he pull wacky shenanigans like rolling in the mud after a Gathering and saying Oh, Firestar? No, I'm ThunderClan warrior Firemud. I'm just here to have a chill time.
Something often forgotten about Darkest Hour is that when Firestar becomes leader, he's actually upset and overwhelmed by how lonely it is. I think the fact he can't go to as many Aftergatherings anymore once he's deputy and then leader is a big part of that for my own rewrite.
The one who REALLY misses it though is Onewhisker.
I interpret him as being a coward, but a really nice one. One of his traits is that he got along with everyone back in the day, which Tallstar mistook as charisma. It's not. He's just a good storyteller who likes to fit in.
And as a side note, that's why Smoke was in love with him. He told such amazing stories of Clan life, he made himself into this decorated, impressive warrior, something he never really was. He's an average warrior with a friendly demeanor that other Clan cats find non-threatening. He lied to Smoke.
But anyway... Onewhisker thought he was loved. He thought he had friends and was liked. Then Mudfur tries to murder him, and there's a bunch of WindClan cats he used to think were his buddies on that patrol. Even cats in other Clans he thought were his friends were on the assassination crew.
Bonefall Onewhisker, in my eyes, is a character of duality. On one hand you have the cat who sacrificed a lot on the altar of being a good warrior, turning his mate and kittens away and being too ashamed to admit he broke the code and own up to it. On the other hand, he's NEVER been able to be the ideal, honorable warrior like Mudclaw-- he's got too many friends elsewhere, not brutal enough to make people truly fear him.
So, he can't be either one. He can't be the strong and authoritative leader that Mistystar and Blackstar are, and he can't be the self-assured, diplomatic revolutionary that Firestar is.
Tallstar wanted what he thought Onestar would be; friendly, not aggressive, open to negotiating. What happened was that Onewhisker saw his friends try to murder him for being too soft, and so, ruled with insecure fury trying to be something he never was. Isolated from everything that really gave him joy, feeling the pressure of Clan culture weighing down on him, he started to change.
Because, in the end, power acts through those who have it just as much as they can act with power. It revealed a lot about him.
And he can't go to the Aftergathering anymore. He is the authority that gave him this curse.

if the tribe is asking for help with the rogues instead of the atrocity that happened in canon, how does that change stormfur and brooks visit? i imagine they sent stormfur because he’d probably have a better chance of convincing the clans to help than just some random tribe cat, and brook went with him because it would be dangerous for just one cat to go get help, especially with the rogues. maybe the rest of the tribe stayed behind to make sure the rogues didn’t attack them (again) (the rogues probably killed a few cats like in canon) stormfur goes to riverclan for help first since that’s where he was raised and he knows most of the cats, but then hawkfrost happens and he goes to thunderclan for help instead
The order of events here changes significantly!
In TNP, the Tribe harbors the Clans for a few weeks. A few cats were injured on the way, a few queens are close to giving birth, they need supplies and food, so the Tribe cares for them.
A few medics actually go with them to the Lake, to help them learn the new herbs, and because WindClan has no Cleric. Barkface and Mudfur were squished when the Mothermouth collapses.
Brook is a medic now-- in the Tribe, anyone who wants to be a medic simply learns to. Stoneteller's successor comes from this pool.
Brook, Stormfur, and one more medic are tossed out of RiverClan because of the false sign like canon. This time, Mistyfoot helps them escape before Leopardstar can do Stonefur 2. This is a major character beat for Misty.
These Three help out ThunderClan with the Boar Attack, then go home
And the next time we see Storm and Brook is after Flick's group has attacked the Tribe, in Po3. They make a general plea to all four Clans,
Brook is actually the one answering most of the questions. I feel this is an important detail because she is acting as a spokesman for her own culture, not Stormfur pleading for his to care.
The Clans though, of course, have a hard time understanding why cats would ASK for help with a problem. This is well before the Law of the Lake which comes two arcs later.
"Can't you defend yourselves?"
"Of course we can, but we could use your help. We've waited out rogues before but we'd have to work twice as hard on half our land and kill them over the harsh winter... we don't want to be so cruel, when you can help us send them on their way."
"But why??"
"...because that's what family does? We help each other, don't we?"
And, of course, the Clans agree to spare a few warriors... well, most of them. Mistyfoot probably doesn't send RiverClan cats. Blackstar is a maybe; but the young warrior Marshwing WANTS to go.
This is also the last we'll see of the Bonefall Tribe for a long while. The OotS appearence is cut completely.
The next time they come up is probably going to be just after AVoS, for Tawnypelt's Clan Reduxed, probably for her to go visit her old friend Stormfur to talk about loss and moving on after it, and seek treatment for Shadowpaw's severe epilepsy.
#And for newcomers;#Shadowsight's epilepsy is staying in this rewrite#He has clonic-tonic seizures unlike Sorreltail who has absence seizures#So he needs a more beefy treatment plan than Sorreltail with the simple Valerian#Bonefall Po3#Bonefall TNP#Bonefall Rewrite

Sketch Dump 3
Doodles from a class notebook, just making some thumbnails for some of the Bonefall concepts. Exploring traits I'd like to see and considering what works and what doesn't.
Today's characters are Russetfur, a bunch of Tigerkin, Blackstar, Firestar, a little bit of Snowfur and Whitestorm, a little bit of Redtail and Runningwing, Rosetail, and Thistleclaw. Plus the Dark Forest guys Fenneldust and Batear. As a treat.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c421c8f10e929a939474102af9f3daff/f82de146fdf82b5d-38/s540x810/3f97b5d857fc59b524f7bab5b67db3e0f7892ac7.jpg)
I started off with Russet. I love her a ton, I wanted her to look kinda like an old lesbian who was the bouncer at a gay bar in her youth. Women should have thick eyebrows more often tbh.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ae52b879de18adbddf99ba27536fbbc9/f82de146fdf82b5d-41/s540x810/21117e5f0b4ee5a36c2ace6b3ba0125beda39de4.jpg)
I'm not sure if I'll keep the moustache or not, thinking about it. I think I like the smooth muzzle more, with some chin whiskers
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7f6d3ff70df86bd3f26c3d9a12ed3b31/f82de146fdf82b5d-62/s540x810/a0945161a293b69a2762ba7da54e53947df7a8e2.jpg)
Gorseclaw, the progenitor of the ThunderClan Tigerkin family, and his grandson Oakstar! Still working on what the "family trait" is besides long claws.
I shaded in the sclera to see if it sticks, but I may walk back on it to use it for the Dark Forest.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c7180327b4949d0273762832ce44ca1f/f82de146fdf82b5d-c1/s540x810/22358e4d7b23c9aaa246db4db1ab2896baeec9b1.jpg)
Up in the corner is Birchface, below him is Tawnypelt, and next to her is Brambleclaw. Tawnypelt's arm is brown and Brambleclaw's arm is golden. Mismatched sleeves.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7312ce0cef47b04ba3cf9fe0220fd0eb/f82de146fdf82b5d-d7/s1280x1920/13ef81e69c4067d43fec204f32f5598466c00b43.jpg)
Mr Executioner Blackstar, with his hood slowly being eroded away. You can't see his pupils until the white creeps up over it, around the time he's earned Life 2
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a798fc1f871930a32ac87cb91f9eadc8/f82de146fdf82b5d-82/s540x810/da4ce175fe636d2cf751946e7c1563c11d7bf525.jpg)
Bonefall Firestar omg I love your work can you autograph me
I don't know if his scar is coming off like a mayoral sash but lord I'm trying
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/177368bf2bf5f355225792edb50e1f51/f82de146fdf82b5d-f0/s540x810/08f9dc78c740279af4eaa85220d1e593a23b5801.jpg)
So I initially thought I'd just have Snowfur being a bluepoint wolf, but, then I had the haunting idea to make her kinda look like she was wearing a white wolf's pelt. Like she's pretending to be a wolf and covering up what she really is; a kind of huntER aesthetic.
And Whitestorm looks a lot like his dad but less sharp, more prickly.
I'm not satisfied with these yet though, I'm going to redo them a couple times
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e02beed47345ea90d6e233d82b3cb3db/f82de146fdf82b5d-3d/s540x810/958a19139ec62283a187d0d66fd5e5a9ddbce533.jpg)
Tried another way to draw Redtail. A bit more serious-looking. Bonus Runningwind.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1c08d349cc6c1e17e67085d2ac54eec5/f82de146fdf82b5d-85/s540x810/ab60deb7a826fd6017c4ffaadf2fd9d563f8987c.jpg)
Draft 1 Thistleclaw and Draft 1 Rosetail!! Rosey has the same tail as Redtail and Squirrelflight. I also tossed a bone face onto her like her daughter Spottedleaf, to balance out her colors a bit. I'm happy with this one
However I was NOT happy with this Thistleclaw. He reminds me of Finchflight, too thick, too splotchy, looks like he has a shadowstache
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/fda9cf4afbd3bc6e014eee0af96afdf5/f82de146fdf82b5d-43/s540x810/f09376a86fc4dcfa25dae4c3c02b7518c8e60975.jpg)
I made him look more like Rosetail in this one and I'm happier with it. I like how they both kinda feel like sharp plants.

Aaaand now I'm satisfied. White face works a lot better, kind of a scruffy, sharp look with a beard.

Dark Forest Dudes
I imagine Batear is SUPER gay for some reason. He also thinks Firestar is incredibly attractive and wants his cat autograph, but I don't know what Batear did in life.
He's definitely not going to get any story in canon since he was only named in an author chat, so I'm happy to make up a backstory for him.
As for Fenneldust I have a fondness for fennel lmao. I like her name. I want to make a running joke that she dies a LOT, keeps getting used to demonstrate killing moves and stomped on by various Dark Forest entities lmao.
She definitely keeps trying to catch Shrewpaw's Pheasant.

one question i have about your approach with sol! in the books i feel like he’s written like… adjacent to mind control powers. got that evil hypnotist swag. and since he’s a Literal God in your rewrite i’m curious, are you going to lean into that? or make it simple, mundane manipulation coming from someone who happens to be very powerful?
Sol is all about games, and a game must have rules.
He's a bit more than just a God of Autumn; he's also a god of social constructs. He's the patron of names and nations, he's the deity of things that bind because you believe in their power. Titles, expectations, even gender.
Things that are only real because we agree they exist.
So what fun would it be if he was just making people believe whatever he wanted them to? He wants to play and he wants to win, fair and square.
So he won't be mind-controlling anyone... but he will be causing mass hallucinations (the Eclipse of Po3 is not real-- just a preview of what will happen on the night of the Great Battle), preying on weakness, causing the occasional little ecological disaster.
He wins if the Clans fall apart, but it HAS to be from within. In the meanwhile he wants to cause as much spite, distrust, and suffering as possible without directly killing a cat.
He's probably going to be behind a lot of the problems in Bonefall Po3, which is now an episodic arc. He shows up again in OotS, where he will be taking advantage of Blackstar's guilt after Russetfur dies, until his plan is thwarted through the love of his Clan.
