Labs together. Because YES, as a sign of redemption, Bill works at J.C. Valley alongside the other (same for Sofia and Ryan who were hired again for the same reasons as Bill).).).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bill was born in 1966 in an unknown city from North America. They were raised by their mother Frannie far away from Blood Edward Island as she considers it a cursed place since many members of her family had died there. However, Bill was supposed to be born at the beginning of the year 1967, but they end up being born the very last day of 1966.
Despite his descend into depression and madness, Frannie still gave Bill her father's name as a second name because he was an amazing father nonetheless before World War II. Therefore their full name is Bill Henry Edward.
Their father supposedly abandoned them at a very young age, presumably because he wanted to have a girl. When Bill identified themselves as Gender Neutral, they went to see their father, but he rejected his child once more. Bill seemingly never saw their father ever again after that.
They may have not shown it that much, but they loved their mother deeply. Having lost her left them a huge scar on their heart. One of the main reasons why Ryan managed to get them more easily, and manipulate them into murdering Sayoko (their mixed feeling of love and hate towards Sayoko was obviously a great help too).
When they were 18, they wanted to do a gap year abroad, so they go to England (Galar), which is where their father comes from. When their mother died, they went back to the United States, which means they stayed for about 10 years in England.
Someone from England may be related to Bill. Who knows ? (well me I guess...)
Bill always had a crush on Sayoko, and it is highly suspected that they used to sleep together before Sayoko will fall in love with Richard and married him. They loved Sayoko so much that when they pretend to be Richard Robbins, Ashley's father, they got into the game and really believed they were her father for a moment. (Honestly though, they look more like her father than her ACTUAL father OMG !)
Tumblr media
Why do I keep on making that xD
The combination of their mother's death and being rejected by Sayoko was the perfect opportunity for Ryan to manipulate them into murdering Sayoko. That wasn't before Bill told Ryan the truth about his past (Judd being his father and erasing his painful memories of his mother, being a test subject, etc...)
Bill trusted the young Ryan and never really considers Ryan as an ennemy and never felt hatred towards him. The main reason is because they never knew Ryan manipulated them before (probably because they were so young back then).
They didn't actually die after falling off in Blood Edward Island, but their body was badly injured. And more importantly, their right arm was pierced by sharp reefs, leaving them in horrible pain and stuck down there.
They will eventually be found by Ryan who was wondering why they didn't came back from the island. He would look everywhere only to find Bill at the bottom of the cliff, unconscious and bleeding out. Their body were in severe hypothermia and they stayed in a coma for around 2 years (the gap between Another Code Two Memories (Trace Memory) and Another Code R : A Journey Into Lost Memories).
Ryan was regretful of his actions towards Bill as he realized he used them as a tool when he was actually in love with him. He didn't realized it before because he couldn't feel any emotions after his father's experiments on him when back when he was a child. He stayed by Bill's side when they were in a coma, praying for them to keep fighting and coming back to him. Ryan wanted to atone for his sins towards the only one that was bold enough to tell him the truth about his past.
However, as Ryan has stated to Ashley back in the small island at Lake Juliet, Ryan will disappear when the water will naturally purify soon enough. Bill, who was barely recovering and did not wanted Ryan to disappear right as they were becoming a couple, decided to find a way to make Ryan stay no matter what. They will eventually find a way to actually make Ryan immortal, but not without having to "rewrite" everything so Ryan could stay forever with them. This "rewritting" ended up linking the two together until the very end, which may never happen as they therefore are both immortals now (at least for aging. Let's make it clear though : they will look "older", but not that much older. And they can still die for multiple reasons). This link with seemingly "liquid memory" made Bill's left turn more bluish. Thankfully though, his "veins" did not turn blue, as they were starting to become when "rewritting" everything.
Ryan will be there for Bill's rehabilitation. They needed a long time to be able to walk again properly and even do any moves at first (the combination of falling and hypothermia is definitely a hard-to-handle situation and a really painful healing process, isn't it ?). However, to be able to move freely, Bill now had to wear orthosis/splints in their legs, otherwise the pain will strike back and it could even paralyze them. Bill and Ryan will eventually end up together and will live together at Blood Edward Island. They will slowly but surely rebuilt the mansion as it was back in the days.
Before the doctors had to remove Bill's right arm, they were sometimes recoiling after they touched some of the furnitures with the golden bird designs, as if they were electrocuted on their arm. It is most likely linked to their grandfather Henry who lost his right arm in World War II.
Jessica will eventually join them, despite Bill having knocked her unconscious and havind drugged her back in the events of Blood Edward Island. She had a crush on Bill ever since they worked together at MJ Labs after all... Perhaps Stockolm Syndrome ?
This is thanks to Jessica that Bill will eventually get along again with Richard. But they will absolutely love to tease Richard from time to time. They will also get along better with Ashley as, deep down, they loved her almost like a daughter.
They are actually a good singer, a great dancer and an amazing cook. They learned all of these from their mother Frannie. They are also playing various music instruments, one of them being their mother's signature instrument : the piano. They are also pretty good at drawing and writing, but mostly drawing. They inherited this talent for their grandfather Henry who was a painter, and from their great uncle Thomas, who was a writer.
After the events of Another Code R : A Journey Into Lost Memories, Bill, alongside Ashley, Jessica and Ryan, will be gifted an Element of Harmony each : Strength, Empathy, Mercy and Alchemy respectively. Bill's Element is a Golden and a Silver Bird (referencing the Edwards' legacy) and is located in his right shoulder when he wears it. As the Element of Strength, this Element gave them a specific arm replacing their lost one, with electricity running through it (another reference), being Golden. Their armor is mostly Golden, Silver and Red.
Before Jessica joined them, Bill and Ryan had a daughter named Harmonia Edward Fitzgerald. She is Bill's precious baby jewel.
When Jessica will join them, they will all together had triplet children, with 2 sons named Crimson Gray Edward and Ayden Edward ("Ay" meaning "Moon" in Turkish, a reference to Sayoko giving "Mizuki" for a second name to Ashley, also meaning "Moon", but in Japanese. Let's not forget that they regret killing Sayoko and still loved her after all), as well as a daughter named Licilla Edward Robbins. Ayden is the older triplet, Crimson in the middle, and Licilla is the youngest.

Mad Doctor of Blood Island (Tomb of the Living Dead, 1969)
"You are quite mad."
"Then you should be very careful, doctor. Both of you. Mad people can be quite unpredictable."

The thing is. The thing is about black sails is. What did they get in the end for all their pain and suffering and blood? Well, nothing. Absolutely nothing. In the end it all came down to nothing and it meant nothing and they were remembered in history as monsters and died as monsters. But yet it meant everything. They failed, every single one of them, but the fact that they failed meant they tried and that meant everything. They failed in the end, so what was the point of it all? Wouldn't it be better off if none of them had tried, if none of them had bled and struggled and fought or even met? But THAT is the point! The point was in the living, not in the dying, not in the failing! It was in the trying! The way they tried because of each other and for each other! The way they tried to beat against something that could not and would not ever move in their lifetimes! Flint tried for Thomas and Miranda tried for Flint and Miranda tried for Thomas and Silver tried for Flint and Mr. Gates tried for Flint and Max tried for Eleanor and Eleanor tried for Max and Charles Vane tried for Elaenor and Mr. Scott tried for Eleanor and Mr. Scott tried for Madi and Silver tried for his men and Billy tried tried tried and the Maroon Queen tried and Madi tried for freedom and Jack tried and Anne tried And Jack tried for Anne and Anne tried for Jack and Anne tried for Max and Max tried for Anne, and Eleanor's grandmother tried for her and Eleanor tried for Woodes Rogers and Woodes Rogers tried for her, and Woodes Rogers tried and Edward Teach tried for Charles Vane and Jack tried for Charles Vane and on Skull island, Silver may or may not have tried one last time and they all tried and it meant nothing and yet everything. Everything. Because the point was not the losing, but that they fought at all to win.

Inupiaq Books
This post was inspired by learning about and daydreaming about visiting Birchbark Books, a Native-owned bookstore in Minneapolis, so there will be some links to buy the books they have on this list.
Starting Things Off with Two Inupiaq Poets
Joan Naviyuk Kane, whose available collections include:
Hyperboreal
Black Milk Carbon
The Cormorant Hunter's Wife
She also wrote Dark Traffic, but this site doesn't seem to carry any copies
Dg Nanouk Okpik, whose available collections include
Blood Snow
Corpse Whale
Fictionalized Accounts of Historical Events
A Line of Driftwood: the Ada Blackjack Story by Diane Glancy, also available at Birchwood Books, is a fictionalized account of Ada Blackjack's experience surviving the explorers she was working with on Wrangel Island, based on historical records and Blackjack's own diary.
Goodbye, My Island by Rie Muñoz is a historical fiction aimed at younger readers with little knowledge of the Inupiat about a little girl living on King Island. Reads a lot like an American Girl book in case anyone wants to relive that nostalgia
Blessing's Bead by Debby Dahl Edwardson is a Young Adult historical fiction novel about hardships faced by two generations of girls in the same family, 70 years apart. One reviewer pointed out that the second part of the book, set in the 1980s, is written in Village English, so that might be a new experience for some of you
Photography
Menadelook: and Inupiaq Teacher's Photographs of Alaska Village Life, 1907-1932 edited by Eileen Norbert is, exactly as the title suggests, a collection of documentary photographs depicting village life in early 20th century Alaska.
Nuvuk, the Northernmost: Altered Land, Altered Lives in Barrow, Alaska by David James Inulak Lume is another collection of documentary photographs published in 2013, with a focus on the wildlife and negative effects of climate change
Guidebooks (i only found one specifically Inupiaq)
Plants That We Eat/Nauriat Niģiñaqtuat: from the Traditional Wisdom of Iñupiat Elders of Northwest Alaska by Anore Jones is a guide to Alaskan vegetation that in Inupiat have subsisted on for generations upon generations with info on how to identify them and how they were traditionally used.
Anthropology
Kuuvangmiut Subsistence: Traditional Eskimo Life in the Latter Twentieth Century by Douglas B. Anderson et al details traditional lifestyles and subsistance customs of the Kobuk River Inupiat
Life at the Swift Water Place: Northwest Alaska at the Threshold of European Contact by Douglas D. Anderson and Wanni W. Anderson: a multidisciplinary study of a specific Kobuk River group, the Amilgaqtau Yaagmiut, at the very beginning of European and Asian trade.
Upside Down: Seasons Among the Nunamiut by Margaret B. Blackman is a collection of essays reflecting on almost 20 years of anthropological fieldwork focused on the Nunamiut of Anuktuvuk Pass: the traditional culture and the adaption to new technology.
Nonfiction
Firecracker Boys: H-Bombs, Inupiat Eskimos, and the Roots of the Environmental Movement by Dan O'Neill is about Project Chariot. In an attempt to find peaceful uses of wartime technology, Edward Teller planned to drop six nukes on the Inupiaq village of Point Hope, officially to build a harbor but it can't be ignored that the US government wanted to know the effects radiation had on humans and animals. The scope is wider than the Inupiat people involved and their resistance to the project, but as it is no small part of this lesser discussed moment of history, it only feels right to include this
Fifty Miles From Tomorrow: a Memoir of Alaska and the Real People by William L. Iģģiaģruk Hensley is an autobiography following the author's tradition upbringing, pursuit of an education, and his part in the Alaska Native Settlement Claims Act, where he and other Alaska Native activists had to teach themselves United States Law to best lobby the government for land and financial compensation as reparations for colonization.
Sadie Bower Neakok: An Iñupiaq Woman by Margaret B. Blackman is a biography of the titular Sadie Bower Neakok, a beloved public figure of Utqiagvik, former Barrow. Neakok grew up one of ten children of an Inupiaq woman named Asianggataq, and the first white settler to live in Utqiagvik/Barrow, Charles Bower. She used the out-of-state college education she received to aid her community as a teacher, a wellfare worker, and advocate who won the right for Native languages to be used in court when defendants couldn't speak English, and more.
Folktales and Oral Histories
Folktales of the Riverine and Costal Iñupiat/Unipchallu Uqaqtuallu Kuungmiuñļu Taģiuģmiuñļu edited by Wanni W. Anderson and Ruth Tatqaviñ Sampson, transcribed by Angeline Ipiiļik Newlin and translated by Michael Qakiq Atorak is a collection of eleven Inupiaq folktales in English and the original Inupiaq.
The Dall Sheep Dinner Guest: Iñupiaq Narratives of Northwest Alaska by Wanni W. Anderson is a collection of Kobuk River Inupiaq folktales and oral histories collected from Inupiat storytellers and accompanied by Anderson's own essays explaining cultural context. Unlike the other two collections of traditional stories mentioned on this list, this one is only written in English.
Ugiuvangmiut Quliapyuit/King Island Tales: Eskimo Historu and Legends from Bering Strait compiled and edited by Lawrence D. Kaplan, collected by Gertrude Analoak, Margaret Seeganna, and Mary Alexander, and translated and transcribed by Gertrude Analoak and Margaret Seeganna is another collection of folktales and oral history. Focusing on the Ugiuvangmiut, this one also contains introductions to provide cultural context and stories written in both english and the original Inupiaq.
The Winter Walk by Loretta Outwater Cox is an oral history about a pregnant widow journeying home with her two children having to survive the harsh winter the entire way. This is often recommended with a similar book detailing Athabascan survival called Two Old Women.
Dictionaries and Language Books
Iñupiat Eskimo Dictionary by Donald H. Webster and Wilfred Zibell, with illustrations by Thelma A. Webster, is an older Inupiaq to English dictionary. It predates the standardization of Inupiaq spelling, uses some outdated and even offensive language that was considered correct at the time of its publication, and the free pdf provided by UAF seems to be missing some pages. In spite of this it is still a useful resource. The words are organized by subject matter rather than alphabetically, each entry indicating if it's specific to any one dialect, and the illustrations are quite charming.
Let's Learn Eskimo by Donald H. Webster with illustrations by Thelma A. Webster makes a great companion to the Iñupiat Eskimo Dictionary, going over grammar and sentence structure rather than translations. The tables of pronouns are especially helpful in my opinion.
Ilisaqativut.org also has some helpful tools and materials and recommendations for learning the Inupiat language with links to buy physical books, download free pdfs, and look through searchable online versions

Os 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨, fãs do Long Island Pure Bloods, adotaram If You Want Blood (You Got It) do AC/DC como hino extraoficial do time.
𝐈𝐈.

I was back in the meadow. The sun beaming into my eyes, swallowing me in its warmth. The aroma of blue and purple cosmos, lisianthus, sweet peas, and scabiosas wafting through the air.
“Y/N!” I heard a voice yell. Jacob.
He pulled me out of my daze, his arm wrapped tightly around my wrist, leading me away from the sweet meadow. Everything was almost a blur.
“Jake? What’s wrong?”
I was being pulled deeper and deeper towards the dark and menacing forest.
Looking back at the meadow, the light that emerged was almost blinding as it walked even closer. Edward. His skin faintly glowed as he approached, his eyes an intimidating black. He held out a hand towards me, asking me to come with him.
Jake's grip around my wrist had vanished entirely. In his place was a large light brown wolf with dark brown eyes and sharp teeth that snarled.
I froze at the sight.
“Y/N, trust me.” Edward said in almost a whisper.
I walked towards him slowly, cautious of the enormous wolf that was inches away from tearing at my skin. As I reached out for his hand, I heard a low, menacing growl coming from my rear. The wolf launched at us, Edward jumping in front.
“NO!” I cried out, springing upwards from my bed. I was completely drenched in sweat, the vivid image of that vicious wolf with its sharp teeth lunging towards Edward still burning in my mind's eye.
It was only 5PM. I forced my body to move, reaching my computer and closing the numerous tabs still open from the previous day. I didn’t want to make the same mistake. To search for absolute nonsense just to come up with nothing but a recommendation for a psychologist. I couldn’t plainly type in ‘vampires’ and expect an answer. My brain searched for the answers in Jacob’s story. The cold ones.
In my search, I came across all sorts of legends from different cultures. The Danag, a Filipino vampire who’d planted taro on the islands, working with humans until Danag had drained a woman’s body of her blood. The Romanian Varacolaci, a powerful undead being who could appear as a beautiful pale-skinned human. The Slovak Nelapsi, who was so strong and fast that it could massacre an entire village on its own. Amidst all the bad, the Stregoni benefici was an one of good, a mortal enemy of all evil vampires.
The myths were quite different from one another, only some backing up the ones I’d seen in horror films. The typical myths such as coffins and withering into ash in the sunlight were almost amusing.
With each myth, I compared it with my own observations of Edward. His impossible speed, strength, beauty, the way his eyes shifted colors, and how his skin resembled porcelain. His touch was ice cold. From the many dreams where I’d felt his touch. It was freezing, almost burning, then it would shift to a sweet and calming warmth. In reality, I’d only felt the burn of his touch with layers of clothing separating the two of us, but nonetheless, his touch left a lasting impression on my memories, making it difficult to forget the strange and hauntingly beautiful being that he was. Despite his otherworldly appearance and behavior, there was something about him that made me want to understand him even more, and with each new discovery, I found myself drawn to him in ways I never thought was possible.
What I needed right now more than anything was to shake him off. He had completely invaded my brain without even trying. I got up and out of the house, not even putting a second thought to where my feet were taking me.
My feet had guided me to a thin ribbon of a trail, one that led through the forest. After the incident with the animal attack, my dad insisted that I shouldn’t wander, but I couldn’t help myself. Even after everything, I still found comfort within the trees. One day, Billy had caught me lurking and convinced my dad that there was a spot on the reservation that was open and in his words, “a hell of a lot safer.” His daughter’s Rachel and Rebbeca brought me through the ribbon trail, revealing a tree, one that looked to be much fuller of life than the rest. It was a willow tree. It stood right in the center of the trail, the other trees surrounding from the outside. It had almost felt as if the image in front of me had been ripped out of a fantasy book. Ever since then, I’d catch myself running to this tree whenever life had felt completely out of my control.
Once I reached the tree, I stood to admire the way the trunk had twisted and turned, how the branches stretched out in every direction, the way its lush green leaves draped over the branches. It was almost unreal. As soon as my back had touched the trunk and my bottom had felt the legs of the tree, I instantly felt bliss. Even as the slight trickles of rain fell onto my cheeks, I remained.
Many questions still lingered in my mind. Could the Cullens be vampires?
From what I knew, from all that Edward had warned me about. How he was dangerous… a villain… Could that all be connected to the stories of bloodsucking monsters? They had to be something. Edward Cullen most definitely wasn't human. In Jacob’s stories, the Cullens seemed like saints in comparison to what I’d read, so perhaps all hope wasn’t lost. But hope for what? That somehow Edward was wrong about himself? That he’d graciously allow himself to let me in? To truly see him for what he actually was and not be blinded by the stories written from the outside?
If Edward was a vampire, why was I searching for some sort of way in and not out?
I had two options. The first was to take his advice: be smart and avoid him as much as possible. To tell him to leave me alone and actually mean it this time. To quite literally build a wall around him and pretend he was only just a figment of my imagination. No matter how much I wished that I could succeed, I knew that I wouldn’t. The second option was much more tempting, which was to continue to get to know him even with the knowledge that I know now. He wasn’t a monster, he just couldn’t be.
Once I finally felt that my escape had been fulfilled, I trekked my way back to my house, following the neat trail that stayed intact somehow.
Tumblr media
Opening my eyes, I was greeted with an illuminating orange tint in my bedroom. From the window, beyond the pillows of clouds, I was able to see a tint of the blue in the skies.
For the first few classes, I couldn’t help my jittering. It felt as if the sun had completely cleared the clouds in my brain. Was it because I might’ve figured out his secret? That I wasn’t afraid for some terrifying reason? I didn’t fully understand my enthusiasm. Despite my discoveries, the excitement I’d built up to be face-to-face with Edward after our last encounter was almost nauseating. I was hoping he’d once again steal me away from my friends, with only his company at the same empty table. But once I walked into the cafeteria doors, I faced disappointment. The Cullens’ table was empty. Even as my eyes searched the crowded cafeteria, the table we occupied just last Friday was full of freshmans. As I moped throughout the entirety of lunch, I had a small glimmer of hope that he’d be waiting for me in Biology class, with a smirk ridden on his face after he’d seen my glumness quickly turn into pure joy. But, that didn’t happen.
The rest of the school day had gone by in a blur, my utter depression making the day absolutely useless. Even with the rumors that Tyler Crowley spread about taking me to prom had completely gone over my head. What was it about Edward Cullen that made my emotions go untamed? I felt pathetic. I’d hardly known him, yet my life revolved around him. My happiness was dependent on his wavering presence.
I was hoping time with Angela and Jessica would lessen my misery, but as I sifted through the various dresses, my thoughts had only worsened.
I was going to this dance alone, Jessica and Angela wouldn’t let me escape it, insisting multiple times that I should ask the desperate flocks of guys who were just waiting for my question. I couldn’t help but think of Edward, all while the girls mentioned over and over how ‘into me’ he was, but the thought of asking him filled me with a level of humiliation that I couldn't bear.
After a couple minutes through my search, my eyes had finally fallen upon the perfect dress. It was a deep burgundy color, littered with a pattern of beads that looked to be a vine of flowers blooming across the dress.
I pulled the dress from the rack, admiring it from all around before bringing it to the dressing room.
I slid the dress up my body with ease, the soft, silky material easily gliding over my skin. Looking up towards my reflection, I was in complete awe with not only the beauty of the dress itself, but how it had perfectly caressed every curve and contour of my body. I almost shrieked with excitement, forgetting for only mere seconds that I had no date and no Edward.
I stepped out of the dressing room and found Jessica and Angela, who were giving each other opinions on their dresses they had on.
Once they turned around, their jaws had immediately fell, screeching and running towards me to get a better look of the dress.
“Oh my god. That dress is fucking gorgeous!” Jessica squealed. “Where did you even find that?!” She began to rummage through the dresses in a rush.
“You look hot.” Angela said with her jaw still wide open. “You’re buying that right now, I swear.”
“If you don’t, I will!” Jessica yelled, still searching through the dresses.
“I’m getting it, Jess.” I laughed. “Maybe, I do need a date.”
“Oh my god! Yes! Please!” Jessica squealed.
Once I changed out of the dress and into my normal clothes, I went to the register and paid. In the meantime, I waited for Jessica and Angela to find their dresses, giving them opinions on each, ranking them from best to worst. Even as I was fully occupied, I couldn't help but sneak glances at the bookstore across the street.
“Hey,” I hesitated. “Do you guys mind if I check out the bookstore?”
“Oh, yeah! Did you want us to come with you?”
“No, no, you guys can take your time. I’ll just meet you guys at dinner, yeah?”
“Wait!” Jessica yelled just as I was about to open the door. “Pink dress is number one right?”
“Definitely. Makes your boobs look good.”
“Okay, okay.” She relaxed. “Have fun! Remember, 7:30PM at Bella Italia!”
“Got it!” I gave her a thumbs up and headed out the door.
The walk to the bookstore wasn’t far, but I still managed to take in the sights of Port Angeles. As I approached the storefront, I could already smell the musty aroma of old books and the faint hint of coffee wafting through the air. Once I opened the door, I was greeted with almost endless aisles of books. I eagerly made my way through the aisles, my eyes scanning the spines of every book, my curiosity piqued by each and every one.
I didn't have any idea of what I was searching for, but somehow an array of books had appeared in front of me to dig into. Every book had to do with spiritual powers, energies, and connections.
As I lost myself in the books in front of me, the hour had slipped away without me even realizing. A buzz from my phone had broken me from the trance. It was Jessica, informing me that they’d already secured a table at Bella Italia. I immediately started to panic, shoving all the books I'd purchased into my shoulder bag and rushing out of the bookstore.
I didn’t realize how long the walk to the restaurant from the bookstore was until the sun had completely set. Almost no one was on the sidewalks, except for a group of four men that were towards the corner that I needed to turn into. I considered rerouting, turning entirely back around and taking the longer route to the restaurant, but I decided against it. I rummaged through my bag that slouched on my shoulder, frantically searching from some old mace that I’d stuck in there years ago. When I finally found it, I readied it, clutching my bag for dear life as I made my way towards them. I tried hard to keep a normal stature. I couldn’t look afraid because that’s exactly what they wanted: a frail girl that they could poke at to mug or possibly worse… I shuddered at the thought, but continued on. But as a neared closer, the thoughts were almost unbearable, as if my brain had been altered and spoke in their manner.
“Hey! Watcha doing out here on your own?” One of them nearly shouted, an evil and taunting laugh coming out of their mouth immediately after. Finally, Something to do. I flinched, hearing those words in almost a whisper. Now, I couldn’t help but look afraid, but still, I pretended to ignore them, straightening my back and picking up my pace.
“Oh, c’mon! Not even a ‘hello”?” I didn’t even bother to respond or even look at any of them as I passed by. What I would do for– Wow– Stupid Bitch… I didn’t dare turn around as they spoke, even if it felt as if they were screaming it in my ears, but the voices began to fade as I walked further away from them.
Once I saw that I was alone, I realized the nerves had caused me to miss a turn and walk into a dead-end. I was stuck behind some old storage buildings at the end of Port Angeles. I'd recognized it from the one time I’d come with my dad to put away the many Christmas decorations that he could no longer fit in the garage or attic.
Then suddenly, almost louder than ever: Looks like we got something to play with tonight. I stopped in my tracks. It was completely silent. Not even their boasting laughter from a minute ago could be heard. Just the sound of my wracking breaths.
Just as I turned around to walk back, just ten feet away from me were two of the men from the group from before. I never had a good look at them because of the darkness and also the fact that I refused to look in their direction.
Instead of walking back in their direction, I turned to my right. I even considered running, but at this point, I was outnumbered and the two other men were possibly waiting to cease on my escape. You don’t know that they’re following you. I tried to make myself feel better even though I knew they were. Why wouldn’t they? Why were their thoughts and energy so strong that I could practically pull it from their sick minds? Was that what I had done? Was that the answer as to why their thoughts were screaming into my mind as if they were all surrounding me?
After crossing the street, I found myself behind an old warehouse and just as I was about to turn to go around it, I bumped into someone. Just as I was about to routinely say I was sorry, I smelt the reeking smell of alcohol and two men smirking disgustingly in front of me, inching towards me.
“Hey! Where you going?” I turned around, hoping to make a smooth exit, even considering breaking into a run, but I’d just bumped into another two figures. “Don’t leave, we’re just having fun here.”
They all huddled around me, spatting obscenities in my face to the point where I’d completely forgotten the mace that was in my sweaty and shaky hand. The voices were almost too much. I felt a hand grab my arm and yank it towards them, forcing me to face them, to which I brought myself back to reality, forcing up my knee and hitting the man’s groin and macing him. A scream erupted and as the other three men tried to grab me, I heard a car screech and veer out of the corner.
Headlights suddenly blinded my vision. In the meantime, I’d managed to pull myself away from the group and jump out of the car’s direction, preparing to run in case the car was not for my rescue. Once I saw the car almost ram into the four men and skid to a stop before me, I let out a breath of relief, especially after I’d seen who’d gotten out. Edward. All thoughts, not just the men, but my own had vanished.
“Get in,” Edward said, his voice laced with venom as the four men stared bewildered back at him.
I didn’t even give it a second thought as I practically threw myself into the car, slamming the door behind me and locking it.

a/n: i’m so sorry this took so long !!! i had such a writer's block (which is weird because this is literally a rewrite????) but i’m gonna try to go back to updating every week or two weeks if i can!! also i’m not sure if i wanna have edward’s confession in the car or have it in the woods like in the movie. i love the drama of the forest, but i also love the intimacy of the car, but idk i think i’ll do a mix of both??? but hehehe it’s my favorite part so i’m super excited to write it!!! i’m leaving the dinner scene in the next chapter too just bc i feel like it fits better imo. please leave some feedback, your thoughts, and reblog if you can!!

Andy Griffith
Tumblr media
Physique: Stout Build/Chubby Height: 6' (1.83 m)
Andy Samuel Griffith (June 1, 1926 – July 3, 2012; aged 86) was an American actor, comedian, television producer, singer, and writer whose career spanned seven decades in music and television. Known for his Southern drawl, his characters with a folksy-friendly personality, as well as his gruff but friendly voice, Griffith was a Tony Award nominee for two roles. He gained prominence in the starring role in director Elia Kazan's film A Face in the Crowd (1957) and No Time for Sergeants (1958) before he became better known for his television roles, playing the lead roles of Andy Taylor in the sitcom The Andy Griffith Show (1960–1968) and Ben Matlock in the legal drama Matlock (1986–1995).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Griffith was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, Griffith's first career ambition was to be an opera singer. Later, he decided he wanted to become a Moravian preacher, and enrolled as a pre-divinity student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1944. While in college, he became involved in drama and musical theater and graduated in 1949 with a degree in music. Griffith taught high school music for three years before setting out, with his new wife, Barbara Edwards, a fellow actor at UNC, on a career as an entertainer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sure everybody loved him as sheriff Andy, but it was his portrayal of Ben Matlock that got my blood pumping. He seem to go from a tall, lanky man in The Andy Griffith Show, to a short chubby one by the end of Matlock, aging beautifully with his ‘perfect’ silver hair and still bangable if not more so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Griffith was married three times, first to Barbara Bray Edwards on August 22, 1949, and they adopted two children: a son and a daughter. They divorced in 1972. Griffith's second wife was Solica Cassuto, a Greek actress. They were married from 1973 to 1981. Griffith and Cindi Knight married on April 12, 1983, and they remained married until Griffith's death. Apparently, Aneta Corsaut and the married Griffith had an ongoing affair throughout the five years they worked together on The Andy Griffith Show; the affair was an open secret amongst the cast and crew.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Griffith, who died at his home in Roanoke Island, N.C., at 86, was an unlikely star from the beginning to the end of his long career. And unlikely sex symbol. He didn't look like a leading man, and he certainly didn't sound like one when he opened his mouth. Yet his impact on television and me personally, was nothing short of monumental.
Tumblr media
RECOMMENDATIONS: Play the Game (2009) Waitress (2007) Matlock (TV Series 1986–1995) The Andy Griffith Show (TV Series 1960–1968) A Face in the Crowd (1957)

How do you meet One Piece Boys ?
Tumblr media
Part 1- Marco, Mihawk, Izo, Sanji
Marco
Tumblr media
-Try to get Ace some spicy food, and you get an explosion.
-That's how a fart can literally kill, I guess.
-But now there was a hole in the boat.
-The boat repairman was unavailable.
(his hair burnt, and his hands too)
-So Marco was here on the island trying to find a new boat repairman.
-He, firstly, found your boss who advised him to go towards you
(in fact he has a phobia of pineapples, but let's omit this detail)
-Marco presented himself, so do you
-That's how you two met.
-Yes, Marco would have not preferred that he met you because of Ace's fart.
-but he guess nothing in his life would one day be normal.
Izo
Tumblr media
-A gun on your temple.
-Yeah, that's sounds more like how dying in 2 steps than "how-i-meet-my-boyfriend"
-Both of you were pirates, but not in the same crew.
-And your captain decided to fight against Whitebeard.
-That's how you ended up with a gun, asking yourself if the death was as pretty as this man.
-You didn't have the time to try to negociate that your captain screamed.
-Not like a "WE CAN DO THIS" thing.
-But more like "I ABANDON ALL OF YOU, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIGHT, AND I LIE AT ALL OF YOU, JUST TO STEAL MONEY" thing.
-Guess you're almost dead and ALONE now.
-Izo and Whitebeard's crew probably pitied your crew.
-They immediately stopped the fight and while some of the commanders were sent to find your old captain.
-Edward offered you to join his crew if you wanted to.
-He didn't have to finish his sentence that you were already saying yes.
-...guess the lipsticks and the guns get you.
-And will continue to do, because Izo was your commander.
Mihawk
Tumblr media
-You suck at everything.
-(Me too bestie, but let's ignore this)
-And you thought that being volunteer in the marine could might help you in being more confident and skillful.
-You were wrong.
-You just did more push-ups and heard more screams with how useless you were.
-And your lieutenant thought it was a brilliant idea to exploit you to do the fatigues.
-Such as deliver letters to a Warlord in person.
-Let's not talk about how the Humandrills put you in a tree, laughing at you so loud that it troubled the calmness of a certain epeeist.
-Yeah.
-Mihawk's first meeting with you was in a tree.
-With you covered in mud.
-A letter in your mouth.
-And you confessing your sins thinking that was how you were dying.
-...maybe he needed to stop the wine.
Sanji
Tumblr media
-You saw many diseases.
-Smallpox, Hanahaki, hell even the plague.
-But a nosebleed which fills a barrel and lets the patient unconscious only because of women.
-Maybe it was a sign for you to find a new job.
-You've tried discussing with his doctor who was in your surgery searching for some new blood bags.
-(He was out of stock)
-Chopper said it was better to experience it to understand it.
-So he let the blondie wake up with a picture of a woman in his hands...
-Damn.
-Guess your white wall would have to be repainted.
-Interested you asked if it was current and if you could observe and study this behaviour.
-After all it was really something new and could help to finish some of your essays.
-A weirdo with a nosebleed problem
-that's how you met.
Sorry for the mistakes, English is not my first language :( !

It Comes in Waves
Chapter 3: Surging Waves
Trafalgar Law x gn!reader tw; some violence and mentions of slavery word count: 3.9k first|prev|next
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Six months have passed. Six months since you saw Luffy off. Six months since you've seen the Heart Pirates. Six months since Ace died. That day still haunted you and it’s all the papers talked about for weeks. You had only read the first one, barely able to stomach it. He had taken a molten fist through the chest by the same guy who had almost taken Luffy from you. The one you had hit with a spear.
If only you could’ve been there sooner…would it have made a difference?
Ace wasn’t the only significant death in the war. The world had lost an emperor and a father figure to many. Edward Newgate, also known as ‘Whitebeard.’ He was Ace’s captain and a wonderful man. You had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. He was always kind and caring, you could see why so many people called him ‘pops.’ You even found yourself calling him the same. He had even asked you to join his crew a couple of times, but you declined every time. He respected your decision, never pushing you but always welcoming your visits. Learning that he also died had sent you into an even deeper spiral.
After you left on your own, you threw yourself into work. The work that always prevented you from joining anyone’s crew. The work that you had been part of for a bit over a decade now. The work that had granted you your high bounty and made you an enemy of the Celestial Dragons. It was neverending work.
When Ace died and you left Luffy, you were so angry at the world. How could it take more people from you? Hadn’t you suffered enough? You took it out in your work. You were ruthless and relentless in your mission, giving yourself no time to rest in between heists. You were running yourself ragged, which almost landed you in the hands of the marines a couple of times.
As time ebbed on,  the anger subsided and you let yourself slow down. You were running on fumes and that wouldn’t help anyone. If anything, you could make situations worse for everyone involved. You needed to take time to reboot. You also figured it was time to…process. Something you didn’t let yourself do. You’d kept your mind busy with your mission that you didn’t have time to dwell on it.
The island you landed on was that of a tropical one. Those were the ones you liked to stop at. They…reminded you of home. This one even had a large market that reminded you of the ones your island would have. Busy streets, lots of exotic foods, smiling faces of laughing families. It was bittersweet in your eyes.
You wandered the streets, taking it all in. You liked to familiarize yourself with the area before you settled in for the night. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for the most part. It seemed to be a peaceful place and somewhat of a resort hotspot. That could be good or that could be bad. And you were about to find out that it would be the latter.
Someone called your name. Not your name you go by everyday, no. But your government name. The one that was all over your wanted posters. The one people weren’t supposed to know if you weren’t in your iconic cloak. You weren’t supposed to be recognizable.
Your blood ran cold and you faltered in your steps. A hand wrapped around your arm, catching you in an iron grip. Slowly, your head turned around as the voice also was familiar. Your eyes trailed up and it was him. Dalton Anwir. The man that had led the invasion of your island, slaughtered and enslaved your people. Enslaved you.
“I found you,” he spat, pure venom dripping into his words as his grip tightened on your arm. You shook your head, feeling panic set in. All of your years of fighting suddenly leaving you. You had no idea how to react right now. “I-I think you're mistaken,” you stammered, trying to pull away but unable to put up much of a fight with the amount of fear currently coursing through your veins. You wouldn’t be surprised if you were shaking. You could already hear the world growing more and more distant, the cries of your people echoing in your mind.
He suddenly grabbed your necklace and you stopped moving. “I can recognize this a mile away.” A malicious smile spread across his face. “You know your little stunt got me demoted. I acquired all those slaves but you were the one that a very important person wanted most.” He closed your necklace in his hand. “I know how important this is to your people. I don't know why, just that it is.” He pulled it slowly towards him and you followed. You couldn’t let it break. It was not only important in general but it was all you had left and carried everything you held dear to you. Close to your heart.
You knew it wouldn't break easy but you also couldn't let him tug it off either. You stayed there, staring at him, and unable to form words. Your mind was spinning. This couldn’t be happening. He couldn’t be here. He couldn’t recognize you. Why? Why did this have to happen?
Then a fist connected with your jaw and you began to fall to the ground when you felt him grab a fistful of your hair and pull you back up causing you to cry out in pain. The world turned blurry and the edges of your vision darkened. You couldn't think straight. How the hell was this happening? The last time you saw him was the North Blue. How the hell was he here? In the New World? There was no fucking way that this was happening right now.
“Please, just let me go,” you pleaded weakly, causing him to laugh. It was the first words you were really able to form and it fell on deaf ears. Not that you expected him to listen in the first place. “You think I'm going to let you go again? Absolutely not. You're coming with me and I'm getting my position back.”
He yanked you by your hair once more and you cried out once again, hands flying to the hand that was pulling on your hair. “Please!” You were desperate. You had no idea what to do. Everything you knew was gone and once more, you felt like the small child you once were. You pleaded then, just as you were now. The results were the same.
He lifted you by your hair and his fist connected to your jaw again but this time he let you fall to the ground. Once more, the world spun and your vision went white for a moment. Your head smacked the ground pretty hard and you were fighting to stay conscious at this point. Suddenly, you felt a heavy boot connect with your stomach and the world grew darker. A ring started in your ears - high pitched and annoying. You started coughing, spitting blood onto the gravel below you. You felt your body growing heavier and heavier but you couldn’t let yourself pass out.
You looked up, world still spinning and blurry. After a moment, you were able to make out his outline and his leg was rearing back, getting ready to connect with your stomach once again. You didn’t even have the strength to vocally protest let alone physically.
“Room.”
A voice rang through the alleyway, almost omnipresent. A blue light enveloped you - almost too bright. You moved your hands to shield your eyes only to realize it wasn’t a light source. What the hell? Your head was ringing so you couldn't really make out the voice either. You watched as the man began to bring his foot down to stomp on you when you heard the omnipotent voice once more.
“Shambles.”
Next thing you knew, you were wrapped around something both soft like fur and rough like clothing. You blinked, trying to make the world stop spinning and make sense of the world around you. “W-what?” The attempt at speaking threw you into another coughing fit and you covered your mouth with your hand, wincing as you did so. Broken ribs definitely. When you pulled your hand away, you noticed more blood. Shit, you might just die.
Now that you weren’t in harm’s way and had a moment to recollect yourself, the world stopped spinning and it was slightly clearer. It was still a lot, however. You also weren’t at your best either.You hadn’t been taking care of yourself, after all.
“Y/n?” You looked up, noticing that you were in the arms of a polar bear. You were about to freak out before your memory helped you out. Right. He was part of that one guy’s crew. What was his name? Tra-? Traf? Traffy? No, that wasn’t right. You also just couldn’t think right now.
“Hey! What the fuck do you think you're doing?” Dalton barked. That's when you noticed the captain standing in front of you with two other crew members. What were their names? Then the duo looked back at you, offering a thumbs up and a smile. Their names hit you. Shachi and Penguin. You remembered playing cards with them one night when you were staying with them. They were scary good at poker.
You looked towards their captain, taking in his lanky figure. Right. That was Trafalgar Law. It was coming back now.
You blinked, unable to process that this was happening. What were the fucking odds? Did the gods finally decide to have mercy on you? Let you live this miserable life a little longer?
Law didn't answer the prick, looking back to you and quickly assessing your wounds. The expression on his face was illegible but he almost looked…concerned? You didn’t know why. You weren’t on his crew and you weren’t exactly friends. You owed him for saving Luffy but he didn’t owe you anything so…why was he helping?
“You know this is stealing, right?” Those words seemed to ignite a fire in Law’s eyes and anger flowed into them. He turned, very calmly, to the man a few feet from them. Dalton took a few steps forward but once he saw Law’s glare, he stopped.
“Stealing?” The grip on his sword grew tighter. Anger seemed to be radiating off of him despite the poker face he had.
“Yes. That's property of the Celestial Dragons, you see. I'm just taking them back where they belong.” The man smirked, thinking he had the upper hand by mentioning you belong to them. That’s how it usually worked. Throw the name Celestial Dragon out and people did whatever you wanted. They ruled the seas, after all. They were in control and always got what they wanted.
Law didn’t even flinch at the mention of them. His face remained the same, almost bored. “Yeah? Well, I'm a pirate. Stealing is what I do.” He lifted his hand.
“Room.” Once more, the blue hue formed, gathering around the area. “Amputate.”
In a flash, the man was in pieces, though not bleeding and still alive. Law was sheathing his sword and you blinked. You hadn’t even seen the doctor move. You blamed it on the state you were in. Everything seemed like it was moving fast and you were having trouble following anything.
“Hey! You can't just leave me like this!” Dalton screamed, the parts wiggling around, trying to move. The doctor turned to you, looking you over. “We need to get you on the submarine.” As he spoke, he was starting to sound further and further away. “Fine! Fine! You can have them! Just put me back together!” The man was growing frantic as Law didn’t seem to have any intention of putting him back together. “You know they’re faulty goods, right? You know what they are, right?” he kept on going, but his words fell on deaf ears, just like your words did earlier.
Law stopped in his tracks, glaring at the man. “I know more about them than you ever will,” he spat.
“Captain!” You heard Bepo call for Law as you descended into darkness.
--
When you came to, your body felt like it weighed a million pounds. Much like it did some months ago. Only this time, you added physical pain to it. This must’ve been close to what Luffy felt like.
You groaned, moving your hand to shield your eyes from the bright lights above. “Oh, are the lights too bright?” A soft voice rang out and the harsh lighting dimmed. You blinked several times, trying to adjust quickly. Where were you? You tried sitting up, only to wince and settle back down. Oh fuck, this was the worst you’ve been in a long time.
“D-Don’t move too much! You're still healing!” You flinched slightly at the sudden noise. You looked over, seeing the polar bear from earlier. What was his name? That’s right. “Oh, don't worry, Bepo. I've been through worse,” you croaked. It was true. You’d been through a lot worse. This was nothing. It was only this bad because of the state you let yourself get to prior to the incident.
“Still! Even if you've been through worse, that doesn't mean that you should ignore the healing process!” A pout formed on Bepo’s face, concern contorting his features. Had he been watching over you while you were out? You faintly remember being in his arms before you passed out. Did he carry you back? Not to mention how you ended up in his arms. You knew that Law had a devil fruit power, you had seen him use it a bit when he was working on Luffy, but you didn’t know much about it otherwise.
Your thoughts came back to reality and you nodded at Bepo, offering a slight smile. “You got it, doc.” You voice was hoarse and felt like you had swallowed gravel.
“Bepo, you're not suffocating our guest, are you?” Law’s voice came from behind the large bear as he moved into view. He looked absolutely exhausted, like he hadn’t been getting any sleep. You supposed he looked like that before, but even moreso right now. What was keeping him up?
“No, captain! I'm just trying to make sure they take it easy. Can't have them unsetting their ribs and opening their wounds.” Bepo frowned at his captain before looking at you. He seemed really worried.
It sounded like that bastard had done more damage to you than you originally thought. You felt like you were hit by a truck, did he really hit you with one? It honestly wouldn’t be surprising. You looked towards the doctor. “So, what’s the damage?”
Law pulled out a clipboard, beginning to read off of it. “Well, the big things are your broken ribs and the gash in your head. You also have some cuts and bruises, but those should all heal just fine.” He looked at you. “If you let yourself rest, that is.” His eyes narrowed as if challenging you to argue with him.
You held up your hands in surrender. “Alright, alright. I get it.” You huffed slightly, rolling your eyes. Was he always this insufferable? How did his crew deal with him at all times? Though, maybe he treated them better because they were his crew and you were just a stranger. A stranger that he just happen to run into for a second time and save your life. Just like he did Luffy.
“Bepo.” Law’s voice seemed a bit soft when he addressed the polar bear. There was care there. Bepo looked at him. “Yes, captain?”
“Would you grab some food for our patient? I would’ve grabbed some on my way back, but I wasn’t sure if they’d be awake just yet.”
“Aye, aye!” The polar bear stood up, saluting his captain and running off.
You watched as Bepo bounded off, kind of sad he left. You liked his presence - nice and soothing. It seemed he had the effect of a teddy bear. One resided in your necklace, but you hardly ever took it out. You didn’t want anything bad to happen to it.
“How long was I out?” you asked, mostly to fill the silence.
“Close to a week.”  Law looked at you, a bit disapprovingly. “Your charts also show that you haven’t been taking care of yourself. That’s probably why you weren’t able to fight back as much and took the amount of damage you did. Not to mention your slow recovery rate.” He sighed, shaking his head.
You were quiet, not saying anything. He was right on the money. You hadn’t been taking care of yourself in the slightest. You couldn’t remember the last time you had a proper, good night sleep or a decent meal. You huffed. “In my defense,” you started, the doctor looking up from his clipboard and towards you. He raised a brow. “That’s why I was on that island. I was going to…recharge, I guess.” You huffed slightly.
With a groan, you covered your face with your hands. You couldn’t believe this happened to you. What were the fucking odds? Both with that bastard and Law coming in to save the day. It was already a miracle someone stepped in and saved you but someone you already knew? Someone that saved the life of someone you held dear? It was weird how coincidental it all was.
You removed your hands from your face, noticing Law just staring at you. “What?” He seemed to be taking you in, his eyes trailing down to your arms. “Those from him too?” He tilted his head.
You look down, realizing for the first time, that you were in a change of clothes. You were covered up as you usually were, but you were sure he probably saw everything in the process. He had to have in order to tend your wounds and check over you anyway. Your wrists and forearms were covered in scars from the cuffs and relentless hard work you were forced to do while you were a slave. There were even some on your torso and thighs. “Bepo was the only other person who saw them if that’s what you’re worried about.” You looked up, shaking your head. You were proud of your scars - not ashamed. They were a reminder of what you had been through. What you survived. It was a constant reminder of your mission as well.
“I’m not worried about that,” you finally spoke, “and it’s not from him, no…well…maybe some of them, but it was a time long ago.” You sighed, shaking your head.
You looked over at Law, who seemed to have a pained expression on his face. “Sorry we weren’t able to make it there any sooner,” he said. You blinked. Why was he apologizing? There was no way he could’ve known what was going on. It was a miracle that he showed up when he did in the first place.
“Don’t say sorry, it’s not your mistake.” You shrugged, sighing. A look of recognition crossed over his face and he looked like he wanted to say something.
At that moment, Bepo came back into the room with food. The smell enveloped you and saliva began building in your mouth. You hadn’t realized how hungry you were until that moment. The tray was placed in your lap. It seemed to be a hearty soup and smelled absolutely delectable. The chair next to your bed was once more occupied by the polar bear.
You looked at Law for a moment. “I should thank you guys.” You inclined your head. “If it wasn’t for you, I’m not exactly sure if I’d be alive.” Even if that bastard hadn’t beaten you to death, you’d rather die than end up enslaved again. The captain said nothing, just nodded and left the room, leaving you and Bepo alone.
It didn’t take long for the polar bear to start prattling on about things. He talked about the ship, the crew members, and different things. You welcomed it, not wanting to have to be alone with your thoughts.
Eventually, you were left alone. Bepo turned in for the night and you were stable enough that you didn’t need someone to watch over you anymore.
Your thoughts drifted off to recent events. That bastard had shown up. If he was there, who the hell else was around? How many of them were stalking the seas? You couldn’t help but feel worry flood your chest. If he had been around and recognized you, it was no doubt other people would possibly recognize you too. Though, what were the chances? Surely they weren’t high enough to stress about.
Your thoughts drifted to the Heart Pirates. If that bastard somehow ended up teaming back up with his colleagues, they’d be in trouble for sure. Especially since Law was well known for being a supernova. You didn’t want them to get wrapped up in all this - especially not after everything they had done to help you.
You moved out of bed, a bit wobbly at first, but fine otherwise. You decided it was best if you left now. You didn’t want to risk anyone catching you. They wouldn’t let you go. Mostly because of the state you were in, but you could take care of yourself. You have many times before.
You spotted your clothes folded neatly off to the side. After a quick change - well, moderate speed, your injuries held you back from being as speedy as you wanted to be - you looked for a pen and paper. It wasn’t long until you found one. It was an infirmary, after all.
You wrote a quick note for the crew. You thanked them for everything. You couldn’t help but feel heartbroken that you had to leave, but it was better this way. Safer for them.
The submarine was quiet and it occurred to you that if you were underwater you were fucked. There wouldn’t be escaping. Unless they had some kind of port that you could exit out of because then you could just use the ocean to get you where you needed to go, but you weren’t sure about all that. Maybe you should’ve paid closer attention to Bepo’s ramblings about the sub earlier.
After heading down the hallway, you listened carefully. Past all the machinery and noises of a submarine, you could hear the ocean waves pushing and splashing against the ship. You let out a sigh of relief, that was going to make this a lot easier. You headed to the upper deck, pausing as you heard a snore. That’s when you noticed Shachi, who was supposedly supposed to be on watch, snoozing away. You silently thanked him for doing so before heading to the railing, opposite of the sleeping guard.
You pressed on your necklace, pulling out the small box that contained your Navis and tossed it into the water. Once it was ready, you hopped in, and sailed into the night. The water was calm and the weather was cool. You took a deep breath, taking in the salty air.
A tightness grew in your chest as well as the feeling that someone was watching you.
Have you ever played the Trace Memory sequel?
Not yet. Once I play Ghost Trick, though, I intend to play the remake and the sequel on the Switch, but unfortunately since I live in the US and Wii games are region locked, I wouldn’t have been able to play it even if I imported a copy.
