Blitz didn’t truly start falling in love with Stolas until after Stolas lost his status and became a commoner. That’s why Blitz envisions him with pupils, reflecting a shift in how he sees Stolas—not as a distant prince but as someone more grounded and relatable.

This familial scene could also serve as foreshadowing, potentially for events in Season 3 or 4.

This imp is a very broken individual. Most of the ways he reacts to people is from experiencing life on hard mode. His dad sold him for spare change and an extra slim condom to then steal from the royal demon family. He accidentally caused a fire that destroyed his family's circus, greviously injured his best friend, and killed his mother. He rejects people that get to close to him for fear of being rejected when he opens up to them.

As it is, most of his friends and family are in the found family and he could really use their presence in his life to help ground him and make him more stable and happy.

In the last few episodes and shorts of the show, he has been going through his emotions more and learning how to deal with his trauma. Hopefully this will help him grow for the better for himself, his friends, his family, and his business.

Blitz's father guilt trips him into following his plan by imposing a sense of responsibility onto him and appealing to his love for his parents (even though Blitz only is only receptive to the mention of his mother), yes. But also ☝️( ○ ω ○ )

For a threat to be effective, the other person must know what its consequences would be if it was carried out. And there is a certain je ne sais quoi to Blitz's father touching him specifically as he alludes to these unspecified "scarier things". A certain implication that maybe this isn't your average fatherly "hey I'm touching your shoulder and leaning towards you to encourage you", especially when you take into account that Blitz is also angling his body away from him here

And. Blitz's father was at the very least brusque with him at this age (to be as charitable as possible), but the question is. Did Blitz understand how he would have followed up on that threat from first-hand experience, or had he maybe possibly witnessed such a thing happening to someone else...

I can clearly see him thinking "If I do this for dad, maybe things will be better for mom" if true)

But speculations aside. Yes I'm still positive that things were meh with him at first, and then the violence escalated over time

Blitz was already panicking here, and the fact that this memory happened after the incident is a factor as well, sure. But that's not just "Oh, a bad thing made a terrible thing even worse". And if the way this event + the way Blitz's reaction is framed tell me anything, it's that Blitz was used to taking it without even trying to fight back. In his memory his father is holding one of his (burnt) wrists, maybe because he tried to defend himself, but his other hand isn't even in the picture; in real time he's scared and trying to lean back and break away to escape

And I think that there's a lot of Juice™ to how Blitz is kind of a beacon of hope and freedom and a source of love and protection to other characters with shit fathers (Stolas, Moxxie, maybe Loona before he adopted her? We shall see) and someone who rejects the idea of being restricted by societal hierarchies... while having very much Not dealt with his own private patriach(y) horror

It's kind of stunning that there's some surprise for the "reveal" that Blitz's father was physically abusive towards him, I feel like seeing him drag a child by the arm and rent him out to entertain a rich man's whims (which. mmmhhhnnnnn.) should have been enough of a sign... Like, I think that it's fair to assume that things "only" got a turn for the worst with time, as his drinking problem also likely got worse (and who knows what else might have been going on), but elements which point to the presence of physical abuse even in Blitz's childhood were already there

If anything, the surprising thing about him is that s2ep1 mainly emphasised his slyness, mostly because with characters Like That the general tendency is to make violence their Thing
