waste out -means an item cant, or isnt, being sold, like overbaked cookies or expired milk. gets written down on a list for tax returns or smth
freezer pulls -pulling items from the freezer to the walk in fridge so they can thaw for the upcoming days
POS system -the software used for ringing up food, has a bunch of options per type of sandwich

at some point a rivalry breaks out between the day staff

and the night staff
dream, sapnap, george (techno, karl, schlatt, and quackity stay out of it)
what starts out tame eventually leads to workers purposely messing up stuff for the next shift to deal with, like not stocking the fridge or mopping the floor 
at some point eret switches to the night shift
the day shift does not take it well.
 after about 2 weeks phil is forced to step in as the store quality starts to go downhill
he closes the store for a day and makes everyone clean it u
 techno watches from outside the windows with a bag of popcorn
pogway
tommy starts placing the stickers they use to wrap sandwiches everywhere with the words “pogway” on them
everyone can tell its his handwriting but no one can catch him placing the stickers
phil even checked the cameras, still no trace of him
subway gun
sometimes tommy goes around spraying others with a spray bottle full of water used on the bread
he calls it the “subway gun”
wilbur gets fed up hides it in the freezer overnight

"All forces who can hear this transmission, fall back to the Infinity to help with defense!"
The Commander's call to arms overlaps with the Captain's demand for battle stations. Roland blasts both messages to either end of the ship for as long as he can-- until something in him snaps and his voice becomes muffled, silent, and hoarse. He opens his eyes to seek out the damage but they, too, are compromised, smarting and burning and bleeding where power fails and explosions rock his bones. He stretched himself out and hates that he struggles.
The Infinity was boarded. Her internals raged with isolated slipspace signatures while her outer shell cracked and gave way to less mobile enemies. Processes calculating the damage had to be ignored lest he be paralyzed by the rapidly swelling, rapidly worsening assessment, when he was already struggling to keep up with the protection of his most important assets. There were protocols in place to deal with attacks so close to home, after all-- he could follow every one, or he could live a little.
Subroutines disguised as instincts struggled to urge him into flight. He felt his awareness subside as violent Promethean attacks wiped out five, no, six more of his eyes, and predictive analysis ratcheted the death toll ever higher. His chest reverberated as he took the mouthpiece in  Main Corridor 3, Deck Three, and declared it sealed--
"Exits are now closed off. Eliminate on sight. Hold tight."
--because he was venting atmosphere in six outer compartments so that the Covenant crafts attempting to file in were immediately deprived of precious oxygen and totaled. He said as much to Fireteam Ox before they got too close. Go this way, Spartans. Ammunition under here, soldiers.
Two more of his eyes blink and shutter, vision growing grainy before stabilizing. The Captain is struggling not to give into his impulses. Biosigns flicker and flare, leaching chemical readings into already half-contaminated air. He can't focus on them all, he has to prioritize, but the soul count aboard is dwindling from 17,000 strong to less than 16. He's not a combat AI-- he feels each death, like a corrupted byte of data.
The grief threatens to unravel him but he spins it off to be processed elsewhere. He is rattling off into an active comm, but what is he saying--
"Spartan Miller, Spartan Miller,"
Behind you! Slipspace readings on your six!
But comms are dead and he is forced to drag himself out of his miles-high suspension and look into the Intelligence/Operations room with one giant eye. Maybe he's slower than he thought. Spartan Miller is engaged and tangling beautifully, but the diagnostics from his armor stink of desperation. Though distorted, he can hear him shout.
"Crimson, a bit busy. Hold position and I'll override--"
Crimson was stuck? How did he miss that? They were mission-critical assets at this point. Right, Roland would be hard pressed to interfere with analog controls, but if he went down here, and offered a handshake there, then--
"We're through, Miller!"
Tinny and soft and heard from a distance, Crimson coordinates desperately with a mission handler who's stuck fast to the breastplate of a Promethean Knight, and Roland realizes that--
He might be watching someone die. Far too closely than he'd like and perhaps unpreventable except that this wing of the Infinity isn't totally undefended and that there are Spartans here, here, and-- too far, caught up in their own engagements, but this IFF tag, blinking amber like a server port in standby--
It might just be close enough.
But the IFF tag reads this and the biosigns read that so Roland has to interface with the Spartan's neural implants and pick apart the limited software running sluggishly in its roots. He has to interface with the Mjolnir, bloated by its own hydrostatic gel layer, and force it to decompress as rapidly as it can. Embolisms are nothing now. This Spartan is this Spartan is he's getting his hands under his chest and pushing up, up, up, electricity arcing across its nervous system in fitful bursts.
One Knight dissipates in a burst of metal plates and data. Damage readings bleed out from the Ops room like smoke from kindling. Roland shuts down the Mjolnir's safety checks to continue pouring input into the neural lace, blowing processors but managing to get fat, stiff fingers around the stock of a rifle. He slams down on random parts of the lace until something flashes and the gun snaps up into firing position.
16,500 strong drops to 16-even. One member of Crimson is nursing a crushed shoulder. He feels filthy, with so many intruders writhing in the Infinity. His people-- her people-- are keeping the Covenant ranks at bay but the Prometheans--
How do you fight something like that?
How long will the assault last?
Not enough intelligence on the matter.
Requiem-- older than him. Older than them all. He got here late, but he knows that the Infinity has seen it before. Her old handler's data still lingers in her circuits.
Roland wonders if he can get the Spartan to breathe. If he presses down here, the muscles in the left leg will spasm and it will jerk forward. Movement on the right is hindered by a plasma-cut hole in the hip, but still, he heaves himself forward, until he can clumsily spin around and wait for the gyro sensors in the exoskeleton to account for the sway.
His vision splinters off into a million fractal points, struggling as he is to contend with every lane of input and feedback. His destination is here and all he has to do is nudge the barrel of the battle rifle that way, just so, and seize the nervous system until the trigger finger depresses and and and and
Another Knight shudders and explodes as the back of its skull makes contact with repetitive three-burst rounds. Spartan Miller staggers out from under it, Magnum dropping from his shaking hands.
"Who--- Donya! Thanks for the save. I was getting worried there. Are you-- Donya?"
Roland-- Donya-- struggles to get their arm off of the gun to wave; her body gives out as she does.
Roland curses. That aspect of himself withers away and dies as the neural implants burn, setting the Mjolnir interface alight. 
This time, he forces himself to turn a blind eye to the Ops room. He's more helpful elsewhere.
He's done enough.
And AI shouldn't be processing the concept of taste or the voice of their mother, anyway.

Hey Rina. Uhm. I was wondering if you could do a drabble of the torture to Zane going on in Let Go? Also, what gave you the inspiration for that name? : )
So Let Go is actually not the whole thing! It’s part of the Acronix Captures Zane au, wherein Zane is taken and basically taken apart by Cyrus against either’s will. I can put the whole thing (What I have So Far) here.
As for the title...let’s see if you can spot where I got the inspiration ;)
“This is growing old, Borg. You’ve shown me his reflexes multiple times already this week. I want to see something new.”
Zane wearily closed his eyes. At least while Acronix was contemplating how to torture him, he could rest. He tried to ignore Cyrus’s attempts at dissuading his kidnapper – they never worked anyway.
Every part of him ached.
How long had he been trapped here? His internal clock had broken the day he got attacked. There was no daylight. No meals to keep track of the time. It felt like months.
He could feel his systems straining to keep running.
Maybe…maybe he could just rest. If only for a little while. Maybe when he woke up, he’d be home again.
A clatter and a crash had his eyes open wide.
“What is the meaning of thi –“ Acronix let out a grunt and more crashing sounded around him. Zane strained to lift his head off of the table – he wasn’t even strapped down by the neck anymore, why couldn’t he move? He gasped as something snapped in his neck and he fell back against the table.
“ZANE!”
No, it – it wasn’t true. His sensors were – he was already – no, he had to be imagining things. That wasn’t Kai’s angry voice echoing around him. It wasn’t fair, why was this happening – couldn’t Cyrus just shut him down already why make him think there was hope –
And then.
Strong hands wrenching the restraints off of him, scooping up under his shoulders and legs. A chittering voice asking him if he was okay, to nod, to blink, to say something, Zane please!
He lolled his head against Cole’s shoulder – his inner balance system wasn’t working, he wasn’t even sure if it was functional anymore – and he just let it all fade away.

“Zane?” Cole resisted the urge to shake the unresponsive nindroid in his arms. “Zane!” Even with Acronyx yelling taunts at Kai and Nya, Zane was unsettlingly limp in his arms. “Jay, he’s not waking up.” He looked desperately at the blue ninja.
Jay bit his lip. “He’s been through the wringer, maybe,” He ran a hand through his wild curls. “We just need to get him home!” Cole raced off to the roof; Jay trailed nervously.
The Bounty was there soon enough, Lloyd’s steady hands at the helm. Jay helped Cyrus keep steady as they lifted up, while Cole and Nya balanced Zane between them. Kai cursed and sputtered like an angry cinder as they took off – Acronyx had managed to get away with a Vermillion’s help.
“Set him here.”
Nya took over the minute they hit the workshop. Jay was good with mechanics, but she’d always been the better technician. He set to work examining Zane’s torn up limbs and hardware – it would be on Nya to get him awake.
“Pix, can you run a scan?” She asked. Jay shook his head. Pixal had been unresponsive on and off for weeks now, the odds of her showing up with Zane so injured were slim. Nya cursed and turned to her diagnostic console to boot up what she could.
Soon Jay heard the squeak of chair wheels as she slid in to see his efforts.
“How’s the rest of him holding up?” Jay gave an encouraging smile.
“He’s actually not too damaged around his core systems.” He gestured to the mangled leg in front of him. “I think this was actually part of when he got taken. After that…” his voiced lowered. “After that it looks like they brought Cyrus in.”
Nya sighed. “I really wish we had Pixal to,”
The room sparked and the diagnostic console turned purple.
Jay jumped at the purple light bathing the room. He stepped between Zane and the screen and yelled over the now blaring firewall alarm. “Nya, what is this? What’s going on?”
Nya dove to the console, clacking keys and moving the cursor to no avail. “I’m not doing this!”
“Well start doing something!” Cole yelled with a protective hand on Zane’s arm. “We just got him back, we are not losing him to some virus!”
“I am no virus, Cole Brookstone, and you will not refer to me as such!” All three stared in surprise as the console glitched again and a garbled voice cut off the alarm. “Now please, allow me in – Zane’s systems won’t hold out for much longer and we don’t have time to argue!”
Nya stubbornly continued typing commands into the console. “And why should we even trust you?”
The voice huffed in frustration. “Your stubbornness is not nearly so endearing right now!” The purple light and alarm abruptly cut off and left the four of them in silence.
Until a crash rocked the Bounty, and Kai and Lloyd’s alarmed voices filtered into the workshop.
“Out of my way! He needs my help!”
Nya turned to the three boys. “Cole, you take the door, Jay, you’re on call – we’re getting him up and awake now!”
The door slammed open.
Cole stepped forward, only to be pushed aside.
Samurai X – or at least the person who stole the armor – brushed past him like nothing.
They stood in front of Nya, voice glitching with annoyance. “He needs my help. You don’t know what you’re doing.”
Nya put her hands up to fight. “And what makes you think you do?”
They hesitated.
“Well?”
“Fine.” All three ninja were struck speechless as they slipped off their helmet.
Pixal’s worried and guilty face stared at them. “Please, will you let me help him now?”
Jay sputtered from his place beside Zane’s unconscious form. “Pixal?!”
Intense green eyes met his. “I will explain everything, Jay, but please, let me help him.” She gently nudged him aside and set to work, carefully maneuvering Zane’s inner mechanisms and wires.
Nya blinked the shock out of her eyes and returned to the console. “What do you need from us, Pix?”
Pixal quietly bit her lip as she took stock of Zane’s panel. “He’s…” she sighed. “We need to repair the physical damage and move from there.” She ran a silver hand over his face. “It looks like Father tried to keep him together, but he’s strained himself. I don’t know what internal damage has been done to his joints and balance systems.” She turned to Cole. “You were the last one to see him conscious. How was he?”
Cole winced as he ran a hand through his hair. “I mean…I was barely the last.” He cast a glance down at his teammate. “He was barely awake when I got to him.”
Pixal set her jaw. “So we’re working blind.” She grabbed another chair and activated her diagnostic software. Soon, the room filled with the sound of Nya clicking away at the computer, Jay’s tools clattering on the worktable, and Pixal’s welding torch. Pixal tried to ignore the raised metal scars left behind by her hands in favor of the work in front of her. Zane’s wiring seemed mostly fine – aside from random places that seemed yanked out, waterlogged, or otherwise damaged. It made her shudder to think of the cause.
It was alright. He was safe now.
“Hold on, Zane,” she murmured. “We’re going to get you through this.”

Epos Software | Libass By Tech ICS
Libaas is a men's fashion clothing shop and asked Tech ICS to provide a bespoke Epos system. We created a fully customised E-Pos system, linking them with their suppliers, so they can share stock data to real-time customer management and creating financial reports to name some of the functions they needed doing.

Some of the key functions enabled on the Epos system is as follows:
1.       Access rights & permissions. There are various permission levels, with the ability to restrict any till function, like discounts or refunds. Employee are able to sign in and out directly from till front to manage payroll and hours. Blind cashing up and petty cash recording ensures maximum security.
2.       Stock management. The ability to list products as well as manage inventory to ensure stock availability is a key element to the software. Customers expect to see availability of stocks and managing this through the system allows waste reductions. 
3.       Expense management tool. 
4.       Supplier management tool. 
5.       Customer management tool. This allowed them to store current and previous orders, with the ability to print receipts that are customised for the store. 
6.       Human resources and employee management tool. 
7.       Real-time reports including financial reports allowing Libaas to manage a profitable business.

Dev Log #1-ish?
Seeing how I missed like two weeks of mini blog posts, I’m deeming this one an actual “Devlog” (fanfare and such yada yada). I'm just going to call it a Dev Log.
So much has gone on the last few weeks that I’m struggling to piece it all together, so here is an attempt:
Computer Adventures:

So, I don’t haven’t built a dev machine from the ground up for years now, (maybe since college?) and typically just upgrade parts as I see fit (graphics card, ram, processor, etc).
Well, my motherboard has been giving me problems for close to a year now, where it occasionally decides “yeah, don’t really care about your boot device today”, as well as other miscellaneous things that required me to do things like removing the CMOS battery or main drive. I was also running out of upgrade options, so I got a bit fed up and decided it might be time to replace it.
I wasn't going to be cost-effective to get another LGA1150 board and CPU, and I try to build computers with future-proofing in mind. I was also looking to get a smaller case too. I already had a nice GPU (GTX 1070) that I got a couple years ago before cryptocurrency “did the thing” and graphics card's prices got ridiculous, so didn’t have to worry about replacing that.
Ultimately, I decided to do a "completely new" build.
I’ve been building computers for friends and family for many years, so I literally woke up the next day and said, “I’m about to build this thing blind”.
Well, kinda learned the hard way of the hassle of going at it that way (along with committing a couple noobish mistakes)...
Shopping Time!
Lesson 1: Double check store inventory before heading to a store that's 20 miles away
Well, I choose the nearest Fry's Electronics (it was Saturday, and I really wanted to get a machine built the same day). I get there and start looking for all of the cases and motherboards (severally disappointed that they only had one Micro ATX board in stock, something I was looking to get for the more compact build, but not as restrictive as a Mini-ITX, which they had several of). Impatient as ever, I decided I was going to pick it up.
While looking at other things, I hear another customer talking to sales rep, and the rep mentions that they don’t have a certain CPU in stock. After listening even more (I’m noisy, sorry), he mentions that they have NO Intel CPUs in stock. I decided that I had to get in on this convo.
He informs up that as of late, their store may receive like, 10 at a time, and also mentions that their other location doesn’t have any either (both of these locations are 20+ miles away from me in Dallas).
I also find out that they don’t have the specific ram I was looking for either (I ended up getting something a little pricier). He ends up informing me that the Micro Center 10 minutes away from where we were should have some CPUs.
So I end up at the Micro Center and they did have the CPUs, as well as a case that caught my attention. They also had a lot of other nice things too! Kind of wished I would have known to go to Micro Center first, despite it being much farther from home.
Building Time!?
Lesson Two: Get a head-start of figuring out your plan for wire management and how pieces will fit in your new case
I got home and was ready to build. I spent a lot of time trying to get the interior wire management together since it’s a much smaller case than my last one. I ended up spending a couple of hours getting it just right (I don’t intend to go back into this machine once it’s complete since I’m nearly maxing it out spec wise for now), before moving out to everything else.

Getting my old water-cooling radiator in was a bit tough (a very tight squeeze), but after that, adding in the ram, etc was a Breeze.
Hours went by, I installed Windows, software, etc…
I go to shut it down (after having done several restarts for the software installs prior), and it doesn’t want to power off. After 10 minutes of waiting, I manually power it off. Whatever, I’m super tired at this point.
The next day (Last Sunday), I’ve encountered several other smaller issues. Updating the BIOS didn’t help either. Great…
Okay, Building Time For Real
Lesson 3: Kinda make sure things boot up and work before you get too early to clean/tighten things down in your build
After taking the whole thing apart, I ended up swapping out that mobo for another of the same kind (since Frys didn’t have any others), but then ended up ordering different board on Amazon. So waited another day or so and the new board arrived (it’s now Tuesday evening).
I rewired/rebuilt the computer once again, installed the software, etc. I spent most of Wednesday day checking in with the team and catching up with emails and such. Then Thursday as I was beginning to do some work, I noticed that the computer was saying that my Windows wasn’t activated. I go to my Microsoft account to retrieve my key, and the page wouldn’t load to provide me the key and would only show the transaction.
Lesson 4: Make sure to keep your activation key(s) somewhere other than online/digital if you can
It’s super late and the option to speak to someone was obviously closed, but they had a chat option, so I reached someone through there. After back and forth for a while, and him remoting into the machine to check the activation status, he tells me that the key might not be showing up because it was an “upgrade”, so I would need to buy another copy of Windows 10 again.
Lesson 5: Tell "Aaron" from Microsoft no over and over, and don't fall for possibly sketchy things like sales pitches that come out of nowhere
I originally bought Windows Home and upgraded it to Pro on the same day back in 2015, so I told him that and he kept insisting that I buy Windows 10 again. I refused and told him that I wouldn’t and that I’d take care of this in the morning, and he then offered that I could pay a smaller fee to reactivate my Windows 10, but it would be a one time fee of like, $40. (I refused again).
When I go to end the remote session, he then informs me that he “Really wants to help me out” and ends up activating it anyway. (This whole thing seemly suspicious, I ended up recording it). I watched him activate Windows for over 10 minutes through some manual process (it's almost 2am, and I had work in the morning). He eventually finishes and thanks/apologies. Not sure why I even had to go through all that, but whatever...
I ended up spending Friday wrapping up installs and doing a fresh system backup afterward, before moving along with pulling down the Breeze project from source control, and reminding myself of where I left off…
Anyway, long story short, I tried to get a system built in a day, and it ends up taking almost a week!

Okay, but did you get any dev done these last two weeks?

Health Bar and Health System:
First thing the team and I did was evaluate a few things that are critical, but we’ve been bouncing back and forth on: The Health System

The reason for this is mostly for game balancing purposes:
Is this a game that focuses on having Breeze (the player) overwhelm his opponents with an array of abilities (think Devil May Cry/Bayonetta, Kingdom Hearts, God of War?)
Or is this a game where Breeze must focus on finding openings to deal damage and avoid an onslaught of danger (think Hollow Knight, Ori, Megaman, pretty much most NES/SNES platformers)
Game design… is hard at times. Sometimes you think something will work well in theory, but when you get down into the specifics, you begin to question how certain things will balance out.
You’d think something like designing a health bar isn’t too trivial, until you realize that the Health bar represents the player’s health, and the player’s health influences the character’s survivability, which is then tied to other factors: what options does the player have to “survive” and what threatens that?
Anyway, not going to get too deep into that because I lack the PhD.
Basically, there was a bit of a rift in the UI design process that led to really evaluating game design items, and I’ve been working towards seeing what Breeze’s options are and how to limit them in areas, or how I can build the world and it’s inhabitants in a way that will make this all work out.
It’s not going to be something that will likely be answered quickly, but nevertheless, that’s Game Design™ sometimes...  
Frame Data:

I used to have a really convoluted way of tackling this in which I would have events in the animation that if given an ID, it will look for a set of “Frame Data” and then look for a specific frame and then load that information up.
It would then pass that frame information into the active hitbox and if something is in it, math and physics and stuff would happen.
I didn’t change this up too much, but I did reduce the setup process by allowing you to just drop the FrameData right into the frame of the animation (no more extra array and ID lookup stuff!)

New Particles:
We’ve got new particles! There’s one for jumping/landing/dashing dust, as well as one for wall sliding.

In the last update, I added a feature that generates “points” at the edges of a character’s collider box (as well as other “checks”), so this helped in making sure that the particles are created in the right place. This was especially challenging with the wall sliding particle.
Also, with the wall sliding particle, I needed to implement a way to have a “looping” particle effect, as well as making sure the particle effect follows Breeze as he’s moving down the wall
Developing Sprite Model Sheets
We've got models sheets completed for just about all of the cast members, though, since there's several artists on the project, as well as animators (including I), I wanted to get some sheets together that would work as a base for animators to use, and to eliminate elements that aren't needed in the sprites (minor details that would be seen in promotional art or more detailed art in general), as well as get a proper size for the characters in-game.

Misc. Features
I’ve done various other quality of life code changes to make it easier to do certain things, like creating new attacks, making the screen pause/slow-mo when Breeze changes forms, and updated my Debugging Manager so that I can hide/show certain debug messages.

I’ve also been working on a RoomManager, and writing features to look handle what happens when the player enters a room (like starting a cutscene, showing UI, spawning things, etc)
I’ve also been looking into updating the game’s Music Handler, mostly for how to handle looping a song after it's intro plays, as well as finding ways to add effects to tracks!
Other Breeze things:
I’ve been working on getting shirts done through Teespring, and I would have loved to show off some of the shirts I ordered, but Teespring shipped them using DHL, and somewhere between DHL and USPS, my shirts have been sitting in shipping limbo for 5-6 days, despite being like a city or two away from me… Maybe tomorrow ~
Also, working on a couple of enamel pin designs! Haven’t figured out the maker yet, but designs are coming along nicely!
Quick Test Build Coming
So, a week or two ago, I planned on releasing a quick build for the Drop Tier backers and above. There was a lot of features and such that I wanted to get done... before my computer stuff happened. Our goal was to have one out before the end up March, so....
I’m going to release one anyway. Maybe tomorrow?
I’ll be creating a post for those in the eligible tiers once I’m done compiling/building it! Please keep in mind that this build will be very minimal and exists to test out controls/physics. I wanted to make a strong first impression, but I'll chill on the whole "striving for perfection" thing for now!
Also, I'm on vacation this week, so I'll be cramming on Breeze stuff this whole week to make up for lost time!

WHAT MICROSOFT IS THIS SUMMER
Even Google didn't come close to that. I'm fairly stubborn, but I promise you, Microsoft is scared of you. Your early twenties are exactly the time to take insane career risks. When you control it you can do more for users. But only a bad VC fund would take that deal. The problem with software patents is an instance of a more general one: the patent office than the concept of exit strategy. Any wealth a serf created belonged to his master.
Why?1 All other things being equal, no one is sure where the end is. And yet I think they are as blind to the threat facing them as IBM was. I'd take the first option. My guess is that Microsoft will develop some kind of competitive game with the spammers. There is no longer necessary. Nonhackers don't often realize this, but most startups would be happy to sell his company for $15 million, but only a few years ago I read an article in which someone said that software was a subscription business. There has been a lot written lately about the creative class—you probably have to ban large development projects. Treating indentation as significant would eliminate this common source of bugs as well as making programs shorter. The application that pushed desktop computers out into the mainstream was VisiCalc, the first thing we thought of; we were ambivalent about being in business at all; many companies can buy you for a price at which your stock is worth $5 million, saying no is equivalent to having $5 million and betting it all on one spin of the roulette wheel. So I'm going to tell you what features you need to raise money. But there can't be easy.
