time waits for no one: time travel, kai centric, sent to the past

in the fight with the time twins, kai gets taken into the past by krux, leaving nya to fight off acronix. as it turns out, they've gone much further than expected. will they be able to avoid paradoxes and the enemies of the past? will they make it to their future? they'll have to team up to find out.

at the end of their battle, morro has a choice to make. take sensei wu's hand, losing the realm crystal but getting another chance at life, or give wu the crystal, let go, and die. morro chooses life. apparently he chose wrong.

Shit I came up with during my finals week at three am. I don’t know where to post it so enjoy.

Ghostbusters au

Misako, Libby, Acronix, and Dr. Julian were the og ghostbusters of Ninjago

Misako was their historical researcher basically the one who found out the creepy history about the hauntings and stuff.

Libby was the Ray of the group interested in metallurgy and an obsession with the supernatural considering she was an elemental master.

Acronix came on as the last member of the group and helped with maintaing the Yokai one. Basically the Winston Zedmore.

Dr.Julian came up with the containment system and traps used to capture the ghosts

The Preeminent tried to rule Ninjago once over 20 years ago by sending a soft force to gain a foothold in the realm for her

This lead to a rise in ghost activity naturally and our curious bunch investigated together forming the “Specter Slayers”

After their battle against the preeminent they broke up as a result of the drop in ghostly activity.

The battle was anticlimactic and ended in Stixx with most none the wiser.

What happened to the gang?

Dr.Julian was the Egon essentially and after the majority of Ninjagan ghost activity dissipated which was brought on by the preeminent twenty years ago.

He disappeared into the birch wood forest to retire and build Zane.

Well we know what happened to Acronix and he clearly won’t be any help around season five.

Libby is MIA (But if we want was cursed into be being a lightning chicken)

Misako is basically the last line of defense against the undead and other supernatural crap in Ninjago that isn’t actively being handled by the ninja.

She’s been holding the burden of being the sole guardian against the undead guarding the old containment unit and making sure her proton pack is in top condition alongside all the old equipment. (Hoarded Vengestone too)

Misako never leaves her home without a spray bottle of water and vengestone necklace.

So Morro becoming a hateful vengeful ghost is a bit surprising to her

Considering he was such a nice boy the few times she met him and he was always curious about her mythology research.

So Morro possessing Lloyd hurts her a lot due to her bone with Morro and well Lloyd being the son she left behind all in a vain attempt to prevent the prophecy.

Well Morro capitalizes on this in the fights he and the ninja have

“You’re a horrible aunt/You’re a horrible mother.”

Just you know verbal abuse and a healthy heaping of self doubt on an already mentally strained grieving mom and widow.

Ninjago/Avatar au Pt 4

Basically just Book 1 (and I agonize over ships. Help)

(Also I finally finished watching A:TLA)

Recap time:

So, we’ve got Maya, Garm, Lloyd, Kai, and Nya flying on Ultra and trying to get to the North Pole. Morro and Wu are pursuing them, as is Clouse, (who will be taking Zhao’s place) and, y’know, the entire Fire Nation. Koko has been abroad for about three years, looking for any information on the Avatar she can. Ray went off to fight with the other men from the Southern Water Tribe.

They have a lot of similar adventures to cannon: they go to the Southern Air Temple to see if that can jog any memories from Lloyds past lives. It doesn’t work, Lloyd just gets ahold of a glider (there are a lot of shenanigans with him learning how to use that) and adopts a Flying Lemur (give Lloyd all of the pets pls) who is just as mischievous as Lloyd. They take a detour to Kyoshi Island, and get a letter that Koko had left for them, saying that she was going to look for a mysterious library (wink). They also befriend one of the prominent members of the village, Cyrus Borg, and his daughter Pixal (she’s human), the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors (I know Cyrus would make a great Mechanist, but the idea of Kyoshi Warrior Pixal was too good and I fell in love with it. Also Samuraishipping is fantastic.)

They fight pirates, there are Spirit World shenanigans (btw the last fully realized Avatar before Lloyd, and his spirit guide is a human version of Firstborn.) and there might be a Jet stand-in if I can figure out a good character for that role. There’s a running gag of people automatically assuming that Maya and Garm are married, to their combined amusement and annoyance, until one of the kids will call one of them their parent, and the other one aunt or uncle (they’re family in this au. Fight me). Eventually they just start automatically answering anything that implies they’re a couple with ‘We’re siblings’.

Wu and Morro have been chasing them the whole way. Wu has been conflicted this whole time; he just found out that his brother is actually alive, and has been hiding for years, with the Avatar no less. And now he’s having to hunt both of them down (as well as his brothers wife and kids? Maybe?) when all he wants to do is, like, talk? Have a cup of tea and catch up maybe? Meanwhile Garm is thinking that Wu is completely on their father’s side, and that he won’t show them any mercy if he catches them.

Eventually they make it to the Northern Water Tribe. The chief is the former elemental master of ice. I shall call him Ice, bc I dont think he has an actual name. He’s a waterbender. And now we finally meet Zane, the white haired (human) wonder! (Heh, you all can probably guess where I’m going with this. Pls don’t kill me.) His unnamed mother died giving birth to his younger brother, Echo, when Zane was about two, and their father died a few years after that, and they were taken in by Ice, who was a close friend of their parent.

I don’t think I’ll make Zane a bender bc of the whole ‘moon spirit saved my life as a baby’ thing, but Echo is (purely for angst reasons. You’ll see what I mean in a bit). But this is the part where we get some sweet sweet Oppositeshipping! Zane isn’t betrothed to anyone, but even though he likes Kai, he’s constantly worried about his tribes safety and worried about what will happen when the Fire Nation shows up (he’s smart enough to know that they will show up eventually) and he’s scared of letting everyone down, and there are just a lot of issues there holding him back from being in a relationship with Kai.

Now, even though everyone knows that Lloyds the Avatar, they’ve kept it secret that Kai and Garm are firebenders (and Garms whole backstory) for obvious reasons. But you guys know that date that Zuko went on in Ba Sing Se? Pretend that they have that lantern thing in the Northern Water Tribe. Kai and Zane have that cute date and Kai lights the lanterns and its adorable.

But I bet you’re wondering who takes the place of krusty old Pakku? Krux of course! Who better to be the traditionalist old jerk waterbender teacher than the traditionalist old jerk boomer? (Acronix is there too. He’s not a bender. If I could find a way to work Futureshipping into this au, I totally would. I am still trying to figure out how to organically work it in) So Lloyd, Nya, and Maya are ready to learn some traditional waterbending (bc even though Maya is a really good waterbender, she literally just made up her own style. It would be like someone trained in acrobatics and dance, turning it into a form of combat, and entering a mixed martial arts tournament. She’s always wanted to learn some traditional waterbending) but Krux does the whole ‘boys do combat, girls do healing’ speech.

None of them like it much, but they go along with it and try to pull the whole ‘I’ll just show you what he showed me!’ thing and get caught. Krux demands an apology, and Maya is trying to keep Lloyd and Nya from blowing up at Krux, and she’s also trying to keep from blowing up herself (I hc that Kai gets his temper from Maya). Krux says something about how even if he wanted to teach them, clearly Maya, and Nya especially, don’t have what it takes to be real waterbenders, and Maya fucking snaps. She goes off on Krux, says some things about how she’s spent her whole life living in fear, and how she worked her ass off to hone her bending, and then she challenges him to go outside and she’ll show him what a ‘real’ waterbender can do.

Lloyd, Kai, and Nya are all a little shocked. It’s the first time they’ve seen Maya get so mad. Garm, who has known Maya for years, had been trying to subtly tell Krux to shut up (even though Krux was really pissing him off too, but someone needed to be the adult). Since Maya isn’t about to let Krux get away without a fight, Garm is just thinking ‘hoo boy, here we go’.

Krux tries to walk away from Maya, and then promptly gets his ass handed to him on a silver platter. He begrudgingly admits that, while Maya’s bending is chaotic and wild and sloppy, it is very powerful. But just bc she was able to beat him in one fight doesn’t mean that he has to teach any of them any waterbending. Maya says ‘fine! We just thought it would be a good idea for the damn Avatar to learn traditional waterbending, but I guess I’ll just go ahead and teach him more of my ‘wild, chaotic, sloppy’ waterbending style! And, I’ll teach anyone in this tribe who wants to learn from me, no matter who they are! And besides, it’s not like you can stop me.’

And so she did! Maya spends the next little while teaching not only Lloyd and Nya everything she’s come up with, but a bunch of the young waterbenders in the tribe learn from her too, as well as some older benders. Krux is less than pleased, but he isn’t looking for Round 2, so he keeps his mouth shut. Garm has been trying to lay low through all this. As low as possible for the father of the Avatar at least.

Meanwhile, Wu and Morro have been tracking them down diligently. At least, Morro is being diligent. Wu has been a little shit and trying to slow them down on purpose, and anytime they have to fight team Avatar, he keeps trying to use that to get his brother alone and get him to talk shit out dammit brother, where have you been and who are these people do I have niblings? cause you do and he’s a good kid even though hes trying to kill you right now explain that he is really, truly glad that he’s alive and well, and that no, he doesn’t actually want to catch him.

There wasn’t any type of assassination attempt on Morros life like there was Zuko, he either faked an injury so he could go on his secret ‘capture the Avatar’ mission during the siege on the Northern Water Tribe, or he wasn’t allowed to go and snuck away (with a little help from Wu either way). He does the same thing Zuko did with the underwater tunnel, but Morro doesn’t have firebending to break the ice. He has airbending (bet no-one saw that coming). I debated with myself for a long, long time if I should make Morro an airbender (they were nomads, and bending is inherited. It’s not that hard to believe that a few airbenders survived that way. I also love the airbender Ty Lee theory)

Wu figured it out when Morro was pretty young, and did everything in his power to both teach Morro, and keep his bending a secret. This played a big part in contributing to Morro’s need to be seen as worthy and deserving.

So anyways, the siege. It’s happening. Kai is being a bit of a grumpy angst lord (bc he wants to hold hands with a pretty boy) but gets assigned by Ice to guard Zane and Echo. Lloyd enters the Spirit World, Morro fights Nya and only wins bc he pulled out his secret airbending when she had her back turned. Meanwhile, Maya and Garm are helping fight of the Fire Nation (Maya with her waterbending, Garm with hand-to-hand combat) when Garm see’s Clouse going off to kill the Moon Spirit and follows him. Wu also follows them and gives Clouse the whole ‘we need the moon too’ speech.

Garm watches from the shadows as that confrontation takes place, but jumps in to fight the Fire Nation soldiers who came with Clouse at the same time that Wu does when he kills the Moon Spirit, and not only does he all-out firebend for the first time in a while (once he and Ray became more trusted by the Southern Water Tribe the blanket ban on their firebending was lifted, but it’s kind of a bad idea to excessively play with fire in a village that’s made almost entirely of ice and snow) he reveals his identity to everyone. He’s actually a little surprised that Clouse is surprised that he’s alive. He figured that Wu would have told everyone about his death being greatly exaggurated.

Clouse books it, Lloyd fuses with the Ocean Spirit to go wreck the Fire Nation, things are a teensy bit more awkward in the spirit-cave-pond-area-place with Garm and Wu being there together, but its overall just a somber moment.

And then, Zane becomes the new Moon Spirit. But not only do we have a sad Oppositeshipping good-bye kiss, we have a sad last hug ever between Zane and Echo. I made Echo a waterbender solely so it could be a terribly sad thing where anytime Echo bends he can feel his brother with him. It’s sad. There are tears (including from myself as I type this). Kai is comforted by Garm, which is basically confirms Wu’s incorrect suspicions that Kai and Nya and Maya are Garms kids and wife, and that they’re helping the Avatar (look, this gag is just too funny to me and I will keep it going as long as I can.)

When they leave the spirit pond, Wu tries to pull Garm aside to talk to him, but Garm still has no idea if he can trust Wu, and that means that the kids are super wary of him (they know that Wu and Garm are brothers) so all that really accomplishes is getting Kai to firebend at Wu’s face (btw, Kai firebending is a big deal. When he was a fairly little kid he accidentally firebended [firebent?] and Maya got burned. For Kai, firebending is the last thing he uses, not the first) and then grabbing Garm and Nya (whos giving an inconsolable Echo a piggy-back ride as he is still sobbing) and booking it. But not before Wu was able to slip a letter into Garm’s parka.

While all this is going down, Morro and Clouse had their little scuffle, but Morro has to airbend at one point to save his own skin, and not only does Clouse see, but quite a few mid-retreat Fire Nation soldiers see as well. Then Clouse gets killed by the Ocean Spirit.

Morro and Wu steal a raft and book it, since now one of them is a traitor and the other was just outed as an airbender. Krux and a group of people, both benders and non-benders, head to the South Pole to help them out. Echo is a part of this group; it’s what he knows Zane would have wanted to do. Team Avatar head out to find Lloyd an earthbending teacher, and Garm finds the letter from Wu. He’s scared to open it, and doesn’t for a while.

And now, it’s time to introduce a new character! See, back in the Fire Nation, the Firelord had been growing displeased with his son. Despite Wu’s best efforts, dear old dad had caught on to how much Wu disliked the war, and he figured it would only be a matter of time before something tipped Wu over the edge and he turned full traitor. That would leave him as a ruler with no heirs, and that wouldn’t do. So he secretly was searching for a good candidate to take the throne, preferably an orphan, who showed proficiency in firebending and could be moulded into a cut-throat living weapon.

He found what he was looking for in a young girl named Harumi. A firebending prodigy whose parents had both died in the war. And now that the Firelord learned that, not only did his younger son turn traitor in the North Pole and run off with his airbender adopted son, but his disgraced fool of an older son is alive and actively helping the Avatar, well, it’s high time the world saw just what his hand-picked heir can do.

“Acronix" and "krux" isn’t their birth names, Acronix came up with them when they were younger, as super heroes names after discovering their powers. Krux loved the idea and they kept referring each other as these names. Krux forgot what is original name was, but Acronix still remembers them. i’m guessing that they might use them again after getting back into society

They grew us in a country side village with their mother for a big part of their life, didn't socialized much til their mother passed.  Krux was always overprotective and nix, not having anything else to compare, thought krux directing him was normal. when joining the EMs when the serpentins wars happened, Nix easily became friend with some of the EMs, unlike krux . tho they really did not got along with wu and garmadon 

their elemental power was passed down to them by a Unknown Man whom they never met, as he left before their birth, Kronos :

- kronos was the previous user of the time element, he used it for good, preventing some disaster, saving people’s life, Wu knew him well. 

- tho he was young when he married and didn't know how what would happen to his power after having kids. he took his power for granted and overused them even for simple task. to him , having powers was normal and sounded arrogant when speaking with other EMs or people in general 

.- during his wife pregnancy, he noticed his powers started fading and freaked out, he went to wu, asking for help and learn the truth about what would happen to his powers after his sons where born. he was never seen again afterward. 

when wu met krux and acronix, he knew they were related to kronos , but when asking them about their father , the twins would not reply and looks uncomfortable 

- his personality shifted rapidly afterward, without powers he went mad, more aggressive, salty, self centered 

Cyrus HC

- Cyrus grew up taking inspiration from DR. julien work to build his own tech, he never really expected to become so popular later in his life and sometime feels overwhelmed by it .

- Cyrus is a billionaire, and donate to charity all the time , ninjago doesn't seems to have any problems beside villains attacking time to time, you can expect rich people of the world to be actually helping RIGHT ?

- Cyrus isnt paralyzed, i imagine him more having weak legs motor control that dont support his body weight enough to let him stand, if he did, he would feel dizzy very fast, (this is heavly based on this HC )

it has some hint in the show, but you dont wanna mess with cyrus, he can be agressive toward people that bother him or his loved ones, he will not hesitate to fight the best way he can ! 

Pixal HC

- pixal was a project he worked on for YEARS, but she was only fully finished at the beginning of S3

- pixal was built to be gender neutral, until she told her father that she wanted to be seen as feminine , and he loves and support her

- pixal is very polite and usually call people by title, unless she knows them personally, she would never call cyrus by anything else than “father”

- when she first got in contact with people other than her father, she found them fascinating, and specially zane, knowing that he was a nindroïd like her.

- she used to have a crush on zane that for a while, felt mutual, until she got dismantled .. she was glad zane found a way to keep her around but as time passed, the lack of physical body, zane becoming colder with her afterward , and him getting closer to cole after the event of S4. made her loose interest, they were living as one but she missed being herself 

- ronin was the one who dismantled her, after he captured zane, pixal tried to defend her friend but got destroyed, ronin used part of her body to repair his own . his left arm being partially made from pixal Original body

- she took inspiration from nya’s samurai X mech to build herself a new body 

- in the process she developed feelings for nya. like zane earlier in her life, she felt like it was mutual but she isn’t sure the relation is working out, nya and her are spliting and getting back together every month or so

-she is an hopeless lover and tend to crush on anybody that express kindness to her 

Couple other than future in RTO

RTO mainly focus on future, but also : samurai, Glacier, Scruff  and A BIT of jaya , in general, the ninjas (minus lloyd) are pretty much all in open relationships with one another and it’s mostly just polyninja but main focus on samurai and glacier  

EMs and elemental power in general

- EM lives longer that other people , roughly 120~ years instead of 80 , and that even if they lost their powers

- being an EM can be either genetic or Given .. Powers can be passed down only two ways : a Em can have a kid and during pregnancy, the element will start fading until the baby is born, element will take time to developed in someone’s body , it roughly take 10-15 years for someone to discover their power. however this process inst guaranteed, and some EM’s kid can be born without powers, this is usually the case when only one of the parent is a EM, in case a EM have more kids than powers (eg. twins) the power will either splits up, or one of he kid will be born without powers 

- the second option is strong bound, if a EM is dying (or dead) without kids or non of their kids inherited their powers , they can choose a Vessel .. it can be human, creature or any sentient being. 

- taking someone’s power away by force CANNOT happen, it’s BULLSHIT.. wu and garmadon simply blocked krux and acronix powers, they are still considered EM and if they wish to, can pass down their powers to someone else , who WILL be able to control it (tho since the power Split up, nix can only pass down slow and forward power) after that, the time blade will lose their powers.

Zane & the ICE EM reincarnation

for his HC i’m going to call the previous ICE EM “simon”  i cant remembrer who named the Ice EM simon, if you know it please lemme know !  i love it tbh

-julien and simon knew each other very well, they were Close friends 

- simon knew that julien loved making machine and heard about a new project "zane" a robot that could protect people that could protect themselves, julien loved zane like his son . later in his life after the serpentine wars , simon feeling old, wanted to pass down his elemental power to someone before passing away, and thought julien was perfect, after all they knew each other, but he changed his mind and decided to pass it to zane instead. He touched zane heart and after that, he slowly lost his powers till he passed . neither zane nor julien knew about it, but by freezing his heart, it gave him a part of his soul ( 9 STYLE) ,  a unusual but strong power source to zane, the elemental power of ice and changed his behavior a bit 

Morro & Ronin sibbling HC

Morro and Ronin are brothers , morro is the oldest and inherited the wind power, unlike ronin. 

ronin loved to provoque people and overall was a little brat. one day with morro, he annoyed a citizen of Stiix, that will later be known as “soularcher” that decided to curse him and his brother 

Morro was terrified and fleed, he eventually decided to join wu’s monastery , who adopted him. morro was sure that becoming the green ninja of the prophecy would make him a hero and lift the curse on his soul. he was even more devastated to learn that wu was wrong

on his own ways ronin tried his best to fix his mistake growing up , without much success. falling into robbery, con artist, failed marriage and alcoholism 

when morro came back as a ghost, he felt guilty and wanted to fix his mistake but he finally had people like nya and dareth (whom he met at a bar and chatted with him when he was sad) that cared about him and decide to fight for good for once 

Ronin had a wife and a daughter a WHILE ago, but lost them . his daughter was roughly the same age as nya and she remind him of her 

Nadakhan & Dilara

Dilara and nya are related

Dilara and captain sotto knew each other (family related ;;; OR she was cheating on nadakhan idk but either way she cared about him too )  and she help sotto capture nadakhan and his crew but made a mistake and got killed in the process

Dilara was just there to use nadakhan for his powers but nadakhan wanted her for his infinite wishes so I GUESS THEYre a good pair ???

AU: Under One Roof by @sayijo )

The inventor kept visiting the place just as he promised. Most of the time, it was to keep the Nindroids in line and to visit his daughter, Pixal, who had found happiness with the Titanium Nindroid, Zane. He couldn’t blame her if she was spending more time with the Ninja than with her own father. Cyrus didn’t mind, especially since he knew that she was in good hands and it was her decision to be with who she wanted. Plus, it didn’t hurt that she was capable in battle. He hadn’t programmed that in her but he supposed it was the perks of being with the Ninja.

Besides, he found someone else to spend his time with and to his surprise, he was endearing to be around, despite how they were first introduced to each other and how the man was labeled a villain for a few long months. In fact, he and his twin brother had captured the inventor. Yep, he’s definitely talking about Acronix. As stated before, Cyrus found his company endearing. The younger Time Twin was very much interested in the technology Borg crafted and often assisted him in repairing gadgets and a Nindroid here and there.

Well, actually he just handed him some needed tools and tried to keep his mind from being too stressed. Nonetheless, Cyrus found his company quite nice. Acronix could say the same too. Well, it was nice to hear about electronics and work with an expert like Mr. Borg. He was so much easier to talk to when it came to technological questions. Jay often blabbered way too much and it would drive everyone to insanity. Borg gave short and simple answers, if he didn’t stutter and pause every now and then. His brother, on the other hand, was willing to listen but he didn’t show as much interest in the tech like Borg did.

And speaking of Cyrus, there he was, working on a device. The younger Time Twin found himself smiling at him. The man had his sleeves rolled up to help maneuver in the machine. Something about keeping the gears away from loose string. If it’s anything like the Serpentine getting their tails slammed in the doors, his earbuds getting caught on something or his cape getting stuck, then Acronix found the arrangement understandable. If that’s true, then why was he feeling flustered over bare arms? It’s not like he hadn’t seen bare arms before- Okay, that sounded stupid.

His flustered feeling faded when he caught sight of his right arm. It may have been his eyes tricking him. He had that happen when a Venomari spat their venom as a reflex. That wasn’t the best experience of his life. Anyways, back to the matter in front of him. He looked to his arm, almost inspecting it. He decided to ask him. Surely it must be easier than grabbing his arm and demanding answers, right? “Mr. Borg?”

“Hmm?” The inventor looked up at him. “Yes Acronix?” His light blue eyes caught the former master of time off guard. Gah. This was frustrating. Just focus you idiot. He straightened himself up and went ahead with the question. “I’ve just noticed your arm.. and I, Uh... was wondering... what exactly happened to it?”

Cyrus froze. The air that was once warm and soothing felt cold and tense. The inventor gently set down his tools and held his hand to his other arm, almost like he was... a little scared to talk about it. Acronix felt himself dreading on going further but he just wanted to know. “Mr. Borg?”

“I...” The inventor broke the silence after a short amount of time. “It’s a long story and-“ “And you have all the time in the world to tell me. I just want to know about the arm.” Acronix sounded insistent. Cyrus flinched at that. “Sorry. It’s just not easy to tell.” “And why is that?” The man went silent at that. He honestly wanted to forget about it, but at the same time telling someone might help lift a little off his chest.

“It’s just... complicated.” Acronix raised an eyebrow. “More complicated than your mechanizations?” The younger Time Twin did have a point. Besides it feels pointless trying to lead the other away. Acronix would just come back around and bother him about the subject. He seen him do that to his brother and it frustrated Krux to what seemed like no end.

“My other arm is like this because something bad happened..” It wasn’t a complete lie but Acronix didn’t look fooled for a second. Cyrus sighed. “Overlord happened.” Now the Twin looked intrigued. “He overran the systems that ran through every device I made from my factory and...” He looked down, avoiding the eye contact. “He made me however he saw fit to his needs.”

“And what made it hurt worse was that.... My inventions were meant to do good and help others... but instead..” He was visibly shaking and Acronix felt bad for even asking about his arm. “While it did end well.. and the Overlord was gone... I still had to get a new arm for me and I ended up with-“ His hand raised up and Acronix could see the mechanizations in his arm. “This.” Cyrus didn’t really like talking about the Overlord and it didn’t help that the entity was still alive and living under the same roof as his dear daughter. He didn’t want her to get hurt. It didn’t help that she was willing to throw herself in danger if it ever came down to Overlord wanting him.

Acronix decided to at least try to change the subject and gently held his hand. “Hey..” Cyrus looked up with foggy eyes. For some odd reason, it made Acronix ache on the inside. All in all, he knew then that he never wanted to see the inventor cry. It just didn’t feel right. His other hand went to his face. Cyrus flinched at that. The younger Time Twin guessed it had been a little while since he ever felt someone be gentle with him, especially since people were always kidnapping him.

“I..” The former villain spoke softly. It was odd to hear something soft and gentle coming from someone who was usually loud and excited. “I will never hurt you.” Acronix whispered, gently wiping his tears away. Cyrus let out a soft sob with a smile while his other hand gently placed itself on the one Acronix set on his cheek. “I know you wouldn’t.”

There’s that feeling again. He got it every time he saw the inventor smile but with Cyrus’s hand on his own, it intensified. He felt like he had butterflies in his stomach and felt himself blush. He should feel embarrassed but then.. why was he smiling? He felt stupid for smiling like a fool, but.. it seemed to make Cyrus happy.

Some part of him.. actually liked seeing the inventor be happy more than anything else.

My oc Mohogany with Nya, they are my actual first ship because I didn't had any interest on other ships. While Nya is a jock and extrovert, Mohogany is a lazy goth who likes to nap a lot and get less interactions with people. They like to go on mission or talking about their interests or gossip about people. They are really affectionate towards each other and like raising a little sister Felicity, a neglected child with angry issues.

Her name is Mohogany and she is half oni. A total mess but a precise fighter, she didn't know who she was and when she meet Nya during the pilot, while she was captured by the skullkins, she had her first friend. Being nice to Nya during the captivity, made her think that maybe Mohogany could be good somehow. Nya started to follow her and they help saving a village by a serpentine attack and then take care of Lloyd when the ninja where in mission. When Nya became the Samurai, Mohogany took care of the stuff and cheering her a lot over being her own hero. While Nya made Mohogany see that there was more meaning than being a weapon, Mohogany made Nya see her value. During season 2 they ar always like make fun of the ninja and save them at the last moment. Was really heartbreaking for Mohogany to see her friend being taken over Overlord, who we know that it has similar power to her(in my au overlord is an ancient weapon of the oni and has the power to annihilate and absorb powers). In season 3 Nya started to have feeling for her and this made her uncomfortable because she really liked Jay, but she was confused. She open up to Cole, who is gay, and Jay saw this as Cole being in love with her(that stupid machine thing never happened or it was set to platonic soulmate). In season 4 Mohogany dissappear and she was working with Chen to discover her past because it seems to have some info, then they fight angaist the serpentine war as a trip together with Felicity(another oc of mine); she discover then that she was a war criminal. Season 5,while Ronin in seems more chill with Nya's training, Mohogany trains with her, then she join the ninja to save them in the cave, where Morro tell her that she was an awful person; before the battle Mohogany then tell to Nya that even she has powers, is the person that makes the difference(they hold hand). Season 6, after Morro's reveals, she join the pirate to use Nadakhan' wishes to know more, but then she got awful visions and decide to wish it all way(and you know what happen); when Nya die, she understand her feelings for her and actually the one to make the wish. In season 7 she seems to understand that is what now that matters and not where she comes from, but when the Time Twins reavel some bad truth, she closed herself. Mistake, her mother, incite her to fight them and save Nya and she does. But when she gets the time blades, they get stolen by Felicity who want to use them to change the past. So they are taken again by the Time Twins and Acronix use them go back in the past, use his new phone to shoot past Mohogany killing some elemental children. Mohogany fought the Anarchy war, that was before the serpentine war, and after she was deadly wounded, she used her oni power to sleep and recover, by turning into a child(The reason thebonibonly attacked ninjago in season 10 could be they were asleep I guess). This brings the ninjago citizens to help the twins without being forced. Everything goes the same, but Mohogany go help them, first by using the blade to cure Wu(but he become younger) and then stop ultimately the twins by absorbing their powers and destroy the time portal that were creating paradox(like making zane dead, poor guy). Nya understand that she should have confessed and she loved her too and crying over Mohogany s body: she will always remember her as her hero and Jay respect that by always rember the best moment of them. I always imagined her to die, but if she lived, they would be probably a power couple and maybe in a Polyamorous relationship with Jay(I like Jaya a bit too even if they fucking killed it)

Continuation of “Let Go”.

It was tense waiting while Pixal and Nya worked.

Jay’s leg moved a mile a minute, bouncing a staccato on the Bounty’s floorboards. Cole watched it tap over and over, a total contrast to his stillness. He hadn’t moved since Pixal had shooed him out of the room.

Kai hadn’t stopped pacing. The designated “fireball quiet corner” was as charred as ever, his 8-foot slab of concrete scorched with layered footprints.

And Lloyd…

Cole blinked. Where was Lloyd? He hadn’t seen him since they’d strapped Zane to the gurney.

“Jay, have you seen Lloyd?” The blue ninja’s head jerked up so fast Cole winced in sympathy.

“No. Yes? Maybe.” Jay’s mind was a thousand miles away. His hands fidgeted with a toy Nya had gotten him last year. “You might check up top.” Cole nodded and stood. “Be right back.”

Kai nodded curtly and kept pacing.

Above deck, Cole fought a shiver. It had been late afternoon when they found Zane, and now the moon sat high above them, the sun long gone. This high up, there was always a breeze – in this case, a rather cold one. He turned towards the back railing, catching sight of a white blond head of hair.

“Hey, Green Bean.” Cole sat down next to him, letting his feet dangle next to Lloyd’s.

Lloyd hummed in response.

“You okay?”

Lloyd stared out at the landscape below them. Cole huffed out a sigh and put a heavy arm around the younger teen. Lloyd let out a small huff, squished under the black ninja’s arm.

“Start talking or I’m turning this into a chokehold.”

Lloyd let a small grin slip despite himself. “Just worried about Zane, you know.” He chewed nervously on his lip. “He never seems to catch a break.”

Cole nodded. “Yeah…” He let out a breath. “Yeah. The tin can’s always in some sort of trouble. But,” He smiled. “At least this time we’ve got Pix and Nya both.”

Lloyd chuckled. “Samurai X squared?”

“Yep!” Cole agreed with a snort. “Who’d have thought, huh?”

“I knew she wasn’t just glitching in Zane’s head.” Lloyd smirked. “Like I knew Nya wasn’t just on shopping trips while you guys were out.”

Cole teasingly ruffled his hair. “Whose side are you on?” Lloyd halfheartedly fought the assault, finally letting out a real laugh. The two fell into an impromptu grapple, Cole determined to mess up Lloyd’s typical hair, and Lloyd trying in vain to avoid him. Lloyd wriggled out from Cole’s grip, holding up a hand of green energy in a mock threat.

The two leaned back against the Bounty’s deck, catching their breath from the brief wrestling match. Cole looked over at the green ninja. “It’ll be okay,” he assured. “Zane’s strong. And he’s got the best technicians in his corner right now.”

He looked up at the clear night sky. “All we gotta do is be here when he wakes up.”

Lloyd nodded. “Thanks, Cole.”

Cole smiled at him. “Any time, Beansprout.”

F@ck Them Up and Zane?

How about some Acronix Captures Zane au?

It hurts…

He’d woken up on a flat table in a poorly lit lab. The equipment looked scattered and cobbled together from different eras, a half dozen technological ages surrounding him in various stages of disuse and decay.

He turns his head to further look around, only to wince at the stiff creak of disused and unoiled metal. A sudden jolt in his chest makes him gasp and jerk on the table, only to still with a pained whine.

“I’m sorry,” the voice above him whispers thickly. “I’m so sorry,”

“Get on with it, Borg, before I take you back to my brother.”

Shaking hands reach into his chest again, jostling wires and disturbing mechanisms. Zane jolts and jerks with every nudge. It takes him an eternity to get his bearings enough to plead with the imprisoned man leaning over him. His mumbled pleas slip out in glitches and gasps that grate on his own ears.

Something – an instrument, something sharp and electrified – passes over his heart, sending a horrible shriek through his systems. He gasps and arches off of the table in pain, desperate to get away.

Something cold sinks inside of him.

It’s like his ice, yet horrible and cruel and unfeeling. There is no familiarity, no security in this chill; only cold and impersonal fractals stabbing into his every fiber.

He wonders if metal bones and electric nerves can be numbed.

He stills when a crack echoes in the lab.

The hands are on him again, this time far more urgent, as frantic and curious voices blend together in his ears.

He can feel it creeping out from his heart.

Cold, uncaring, uncontrolled.

Was this what others felt when they talked about cold? When they described its weight on their lungs, the way it stole their breath?

He couldn’t breathe.

“We need to or he’ll die!”

What now…?

“Fine, shut it down for now.”

He’d never seen his breath hang in the air like that.

The world abruptly snapped to black.

Hey Rina. Uhm. I was wondering if you could do a drabble of the torture to Zane going on in Let Go? Also, what gave you the inspiration for that name? : )

So Let Go is actually not the whole thing! It’s part of the Acronix Captures Zane au, wherein Zane is taken and basically taken apart by Cyrus against either’s will. I can put the whole thing (What I have So Far) here.

As for the title...let’s see if you can spot where I got the inspiration ;)

“This is growing old, Borg. You’ve shown me his reflexes multiple times already this week. I want to see something new.”

Zane wearily closed his eyes. At least while Acronix was contemplating how to torture him, he could rest. He tried to ignore Cyrus’s attempts at dissuading his kidnapper – they never worked anyway.

Every part of him ached.

How long had he been trapped here? His internal clock had broken the day he got attacked. There was no daylight. No meals to keep track of the time. It felt like months.

He could feel his systems straining to keep running.

Maybe…maybe he could just rest. If only for a little while. Maybe when he woke up, he’d be home again.

A clatter and a crash had his eyes open wide.

“What is the meaning of thi –“ Acronix let out a grunt and more crashing sounded around him. Zane strained to lift his head off of the table – he wasn’t even strapped down by the neck anymore, why couldn’t he move? He gasped as something snapped in his neck and he fell back against the table.

“ZANE!”

No, it – it wasn’t true. His sensors were – he was already – no, he had to be imagining things. That wasn’t Kai’s angry voice echoing around him. It wasn’t fair, why was this happening – couldn’t Cyrus just shut him down already why make him think there was hope –

And then.

Strong hands wrenching the restraints off of him, scooping up under his shoulders and legs. A chittering voice asking him if he was okay, to nod, to blink, to say something, Zane please!

He lolled his head against Cole’s shoulder – his inner balance system wasn’t working, he wasn’t even sure if it was functional anymore – and he just let it all fade away.

“Zane?” Cole resisted the urge to shake the unresponsive nindroid in his arms. “Zane!” Even with Acronyx yelling taunts at Kai and Nya, Zane was unsettlingly limp in his arms. “Jay, he’s not waking up.” He looked desperately at the blue ninja.

Jay bit his lip. “He’s been through the wringer, maybe,” He ran a hand through his wild curls. “We just need to get him home!” Cole raced off to the roof; Jay trailed nervously.

The Bounty was there soon enough, Lloyd’s steady hands at the helm. Jay helped Cyrus keep steady as they lifted up, while Cole and Nya balanced Zane between them. Kai cursed and sputtered like an angry cinder as they took off – Acronyx had managed to get away with a Vermillion’s help.

“Set him here.”

Nya took over the minute they hit the workshop. Jay was good with mechanics, but she’d always been the better technician. He set to work examining Zane’s torn up limbs and hardware – it would be on Nya to get him awake.

“Pix, can you run a scan?” She asked. Jay shook his head. Pixal had been unresponsive on and off for weeks now, the odds of her showing up with Zane so injured were slim. Nya cursed and turned to her diagnostic console to boot up what she could.

Soon Jay heard the squeak of chair wheels as she slid in to see his efforts.

“How’s the rest of him holding up?” Jay gave an encouraging smile.

“He’s actually not too damaged around his core systems.” He gestured to the mangled leg in front of him. “I think this was actually part of when he got taken. After that…” his voiced lowered. “After that it looks like they brought Cyrus in.”

Nya sighed. “I really wish we had Pixal to,”

The room sparked and the diagnostic console turned purple.

Jay jumped at the purple light bathing the room. He stepped between Zane and the screen and yelled over the now blaring firewall alarm. “Nya, what is this? What’s going on?”

Nya dove to the console, clacking keys and moving the cursor to no avail. “I’m not doing this!”

“Well start doing something!” Cole yelled with a protective hand on Zane’s arm. “We just got him back, we are not losing him to some virus!”

“I am no virus, Cole Brookstone, and you will not refer to me as such!” All three stared in surprise as the console glitched again and a garbled voice cut off the alarm. “Now please, allow me in – Zane’s systems won’t hold out for much longer and we don’t have time to argue!”

Nya stubbornly continued typing commands into the console. “And why should we even trust you?”

The voice huffed in frustration. “Your stubbornness is not nearly so endearing right now!” The purple light and alarm abruptly cut off and left the four of them in silence.

Until a crash rocked the Bounty, and Kai and Lloyd’s alarmed voices filtered into the workshop.

“Out of my way! He needs my help!”

Nya turned to the three boys. “Cole, you take the door, Jay, you’re on call – we’re getting him up and awake now!”

The door slammed open.

Cole stepped forward, only to be pushed aside.

Samurai X – or at least the person who stole the armor – brushed past him like nothing.

They stood in front of Nya, voice glitching with annoyance. “He needs my help. You don’t know what you’re doing.”

Nya put her hands up to fight. “And what makes you think you do?”

They hesitated.

“Well?”

“Fine.” All three ninja were struck speechless as they slipped off their helmet.

Pixal’s worried and guilty face stared at them. “Please, will you let me help him now?”

Jay sputtered from his place beside Zane’s unconscious form. “Pixal?!”

Cole winced as he ran a hand through his hair. “I mean…I was barely the last.” He cast a glance down at his teammate. “He was barely awake when I got to him.”

Pixal set her jaw. “So we’re working blind.” She grabbed another chair and activated her diagnostic software. Soon, the room filled with the sound of Nya clicking away at the computer, Jay’s tools clattering on the worktable, and Pixal’s welding torch. Pixal tried to ignore the raised metal scars left behind by her hands in favor of the work in front of her. Zane’s wiring seemed mostly fine – aside from random places that seemed yanked out, waterlogged, or otherwise damaged. It made her shudder to think of the cause.

It was alright. He was safe now.

“Hold on, Zane,” she murmured. “We’re going to get you through this.”
