If you're a recent Lee Jehoon fan and feel like his acting is one of a kind, I urge you to watch his full-length movie debut in a piece called Bleak Night back from 2011 if you haven't already! I can assure, it will make you fall for his acting even more.

This movie is defined as a coming-of-age drama and has an overall indie feel to it. It's a story of a group of highschool friends – more precisely, the storyline follows along Gitae's (Lee Jehoon) dad who tries to understand why his son took his own life. Bit by bit, the events leading up to the incident are revealed to the viewers, too. It makes you constantly question "who's to blame?" and I feel like this question is the driving force of the story.

In general sense, this movie is about boyhood. Director Yoon Sunghyun, whose debut work was actually Bleak Night itself, expands on intricacies of relationships between guy friends and masterfully reveals the subtleties of boyhood as a stage of life using long shots, face close-ups and hand-held shaky camera work; it all feels very raw. It's strong, it's bitter, it hurts, yet it also leaves your heart open and warm for some unidentifiable reason.

Jehoon starred in Bleak Night together with Park Jeongmin (first from right in the picture; another genius actor, he does mostly movies though) and the piece is considered to have kicked off both of their acting careers since they showed truly captivating performances.

This movie is a masterpiece in the way it captures nuance and emotion, especially since it talks about feelings of young men who are just entering adulthood – a topic that's still considered rather taboo in this day and age. It's one of those movies you definitely have to watch at least once in a lifetime.

Fun fact: Jehoon happened to pass out from smoking too much while filming for this project. He said it was because before he didn't smoke at all but suddenly had to learn it for his character.

every day i miss yj klarion so so much. no one’s doing it like him. he’s as old as the universe itself yet also maybe about 15. he is incredibly bloodthirsty. he’s arguably the most powerful character in the show but hangs out with random earth villains on zoom about once a week just bc. he has a cat whom he loves more than anything. he’s referred to as “witch boy” half the time despite being a literal god. he almost definitely knows every language in existence but can’t get english phrases right leading to him saying things like “holy carp!” and “see ya later, avocados!” like an old cartoon character. he’s completely unpredictable and very dangerous yet somehow apparently the tamest of his “siblings”. he even wears eyeliner. i want him back.

Yes, I'm back again with this cross-overrrr. I have still been spending my time listening to the soundtrack, and my current favourite has to be Down once more / Finale I have been obsessed with listening to the entire 15-minute segment on repeat.

Im going to tag @zu-is-here for more phantom content, but also because this was also inspired by the composition of this piece by zu!!

My favourite part of it, as you can see, is the reprise of Past the point of no return. The Phantom's cruel blackmail, Christine calling out for her angel and Raoul practically begging her to sacrifice him to save herself. It's so incredible, and I would recommend listening to it if you haven'ttttt. This is my favourite version!!

when the long night inevitably ends and the previous social structure has crumbled and both westeros and essos are in chaos, do you want characters who genuinely care about creating meaningful change to be in power, or do you want them to die/not be in power because “feudalism is bad” and therefore these characters who derive some of their authority from the class they belong to cannot hold any power after the long night bc that somehow contradicts one of asoiafs most prominent messages. (despite the fact that many of our main characters suffer due to the current social systems in place)

personally, i’d prefer it if the characters who are able to see the good in the undesirables of society (and protect/empower these undesirables) are able to live on in order to restructure society in a way that protects all people.

to be frank, i don’t think it’d even be possible for the world of asoiaf to return to feudalism after something like the long night occurs.

but the thing is, society needs structure and humanity will naturally restructure itself whether people like it or not. so when spring comes, i want the characters who wish for a better tomorrow for all people to be in power in order to create a better world.

so to everyone who thinks that certain characters being in power only perpetuates the cycle of class violence and oppression, i’d like to ask you what you think is a better alternative way for asoiaf to end.

ok another problem with the dating app thing: pictures and appearance.

first of all i’m not ugly but i’m not “sexy.” i’m kind of cute/pretty in the way an australian shepherd is, but i don’t think anyone could think i was hot. then again, much uglier people than me have found relationships online and i’m not horrrible to look at so maybe not all hope is lost?

but the whole “not being hot” is exacerbated by the pictures i have. i do not take sexy pictures, or wear attractive clothes, or do anything like that. in fact i have taken very few selfies within the past few years. pretty much all the recent pictures i have are from trips which show me in cool places but i’m not like. dressed up or posing attractively anything. theyre pictures taken to send to my grandma and shit. so my profile would be like here’s me in japan/italy/ireland/the ocean but always wearing like. baggy jeans and a sweatshirt. i may seem interesting but i’ll look completely unfuckable. also i’m nearly always wearing a black tshirt and baseball cap. so while i may seem interesting i’ll look entirely unfuckable and being fuckable is usually what draws people in on The Apps.

how should i deal with this? should i go try to take sexy looking selfies or is that a tryhard move? should i post my vacation photos or does that make me look pretentious? also is it ok to post photos where i’m with my mom or is that weird? and do any other mid ladies have general advice on standing out on The Apps?
