And the thing is Kit really doesn't understand. He thinks Ty wanted to do necromancy more than he wanted him. That messing up his life was more important than the future he could have with Kit. But it wasn't like that at all, Ty wanted Kit there but he also wanted Livvy, he couldn't imagine life without her.

They don't get where the other comes from because Ty has a big family, Ty has never been unloved or unwanted. And Kit has always been alone despite his father being right there, he didn't understand what it was like to love someone so much he couldn't bear life without them.

And now Ty doesn't have neither Kit, nor Livvy, not really. And Kit feels like a threat to his own family, a burden.
